This is more about an exchange which is Coinbase. This topic is better to be on exchange board. Well at least they were lucky that it was just a glitch! I will never understand why normal people are keeping their coins in an exchange and not even in a software wallet. People who are not trading coins do not need to use an exchange. It is just ridiculous seeing people on X/Twitter having a mental breakdown over this even after hearing about "not your keys, not your coins" so many times.
One of the reasons is that some people do not know the difference between wallet and exchanges. Some people think exchanges are wallets. Some people have not heard not you key not your coin before. Yes it is bad to leave coins on exchanges. Another reason is that some people know about trading and they are trading with high amount of money. Some people are using the centralized exchanges P2P to trade also for money making. I thought after FTX investors would have been wise to know not your key not your coin but its far from it, People continue to fall for CEX drama but at least we will just continue to speak the truth not your key not your coin, those who will listen will listen while the others will later accept it after being victimised |

Thank God majority of cryptocurrency investors have been able to know the essence of not your key not your coin but it's still painful when naive people fall victim of these exchanges, we can see that BitForex was among the top exchanges last year base on market capitalization which shows trustworthiness but trusting CEX tends to end with regret.
If the daily trading volumes was 2.6 billion and bitforex takes 0.5% of these volumes as profits, then they can generate 1 million per day or 69M per 2 months, why exit scam and they can generate this profit easily. If these statistics are not correct and the $56 million is clients’ money, then leaving such amounts in unknown CEX means that traders do not really understand, not your key, not your coin. Base on Coin_trader reply i can say, the $2.6 billion was all fake because base on your analysis they would definitely being earning more rather opting for this scam except they have more of customer funds greater than the $56 million but base on ZachXBT on X, Bitforex holds 18% of the $TRB supply and 7% of the $OMI supply, which is a proof thousands of investors still trust CEX even after 2022 CEX crisis I actually did that but I guess my search method was bad, next time will stick to ninjastic space since it result would be arrange by most recent while i failed to also notice earlier that I could change the sorting method from most relevant to recent date on the Google Search  |

To be Frank I don't really think this will work well, it's similar to DT but with time I think it will even fail more than DT. I agree with you, but if we say that about 15 accounts control most of Merits distribution, and assuming that the system is not misused, then creating a de-merit system with a list of 20 members, only 5 members needed to agree to de-Merit that post. Manchester United vs Forest will be a great match in the Single League in the FA Cup. Although most people think Manchester United will win, and most punters will bet on them. In April 2023, Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) accused BitForex of violating the country’s fund settlement laws. According to the FSA, the exchange had been conducting business in the country without proper registration.
However, since then, BitForex hasn’t drawn any significant attention from regulators or the media.
Last week, another Hong Kong exchange, Atom Asset Exchange (AAX), moved around $55.6 million worth of Ether from its wallets. AAX stopped all its operations on Nov. 13, 2022, just two days after FTX filed for bankruptcy. Following its shutdown, AAX’s former CEO Thor Chan and board member Haoming Liang were arrested by Hong Kong police in 2022.
However, the founder of AAX, whose identity remains unknown, is allegedly still on the run with 230 million Hong Kong dollars ($29.41 million) worth of users’ money and private keys holding access to exchange wallets. Customers don't really know if this was an hack or exist scam since the CEO recently stepped down a month ago. While most of the pages of the website are currently down except from some parts like the announcement of the stepping down of the CEO and so many customers have not been able to access their assets. BitForex Twitter(X) account has not been updated since May last year but customers were able to communicate with them before from their official Telegram channel but still yet no response from the exchange there till now. I think JustineCollins09 is a pretty naive person because he bought an account with 5 red feedback which someone with even a little bit of sense would avoid doing. Maybe he bought it to get Legendary status on Altcoinstalk after teleportation but other than that I don't think that having such an account would help him in anyway.
Maybe he got scammed trying to get the account, there is a high chance the seller may not review the account name before being sold in order to avoid reviewing it to those impersonating as buyers to burst them and so most of these sellers have become extremely cautious while some may use it as an excuse to scam buyers, after all hr got a legendary account Thinking of him teleporting the account to altcointalk as somehow dumb since the Campaign managers there are from btt, only few of these will actually get past them since those Campaign managers are OGs here, they know already big names for sure that have their image tarnished here |

Irrespective of the fact that some of us are beneficiaries of this increase in dollar over naira, due to the fact that we have most of our assets in Bitcoin and other crypto like USDT, I'm still not satisfied with the dollar increase over the Naira because we have lots of individual who are suffering from this rapid increase, even our very close relations are going through a lot this period due to the hike in price of everything in the market. The percentage of persons not into crypto or those not earning in dollar are much higher than those who are into crypto, so lets pray things get better than this.
People wey dey earn in foreign currencies no really benefit like dat becus indirectly you go cough out all di money back. As dollar dey increase naso things for market dey increase. Make I use this example explain, 2 weeks ago I buy Romoss powerbank for jumia for 73k, afta 4 days di price come increase to 81k, yesterday wen I check again di price don enta 97k.
