441  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many signals don't work now like they use to be on: January 05, 2023, 07:35:49 PM
I found a graph online that I would like to present for discussion. Based on the graph, spot trading decreased by half in December compared to November.
1. Is it true that the so-called accumulation shouted on social media is not on exchanges or are they simply lies?
2. Does this drop in trading into the new year have any implication?

442  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is the entire Crypto Market ever likely to be Scammed? on: January 04, 2023, 07:50:58 PM
I like the idea of the OP not mentioning bitcoin but cryptocurrency. It gave a wider range of discussion and understanding. I find the growth of stable coin a massive backup for the space. The stable coin by BUSD and USDT is back up by fiat in dollar by American bank and treasury bill.
443  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Expectation for 2023 on: January 03, 2023, 12:26:44 PM
If history repeats itself, then the reversal process will begin in mid-2023.
Which part of the history are you referring to because the dump for Covid 19 wont happen and the predicted ressecion in 2023 will not be in gravity with peoples response fro covid. Although I dont rule out a dip towards 10k or less but it be with any history of the space cause the cycle has changed and the times had been altered. Bitcoin and Binance seem to be with lowest risk but some other altcoins will give the biggest reward
444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The NFT hype makes Opensea rich on: January 02, 2023, 10:00:23 PM
The volume of NFT trading through OpenSea was more than 90% in January, 2022. Its dominance has shrunk significantly in ten months, with several serious competitors emerging within a year including: LooksRare, x2y2, MagicEden, blur_io. It could indicate the increase in market sizes that will cut across different blockchains

446  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Happy new year Bitcointalk Naija on: January 01, 2023, 09:48:05 AM
It is really impressive to find local communities for Nigerians. Due to Nigeria's presence in cryptocurrency, especially with trading, I believe the country will be able to raise blockchain/cryptocurrency innovation by developers that will be peculiar to Nigeria from this year forward. It's time to move away from scam phone mining in Pi to exchanges that can serve the entire continent. It is important that exchanges allow those wishing to send their stable coins in foreign currency to their banks that accept the same currency, and that it can be implemented in this era.
447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will Sam Bankman-Fried go to jail? on: December 15, 2022, 07:45:22 PM
I don't think the main focus should be if SBF goes to jail or not, I think there are probably many other players who should be held accountable too. At the end of the day, FTx as a company stole billions from people who had considered them as a trustworthy institution. If people go to jail, everyone involved should.

Personally I am still in awe that this has even happened.
I did not know some US politicians are so corrupt and shameless until they tried to incriminate CZ Binance for the FTX scam. There's going to be a tough prosecution. I hope justice will prevail
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 14, 2022, 06:54:09 AM
Croatia; Due to a lack of a prolific striker, they scored few goals in the tournament, which can cause problems if an opponent leads by two goals
Although they have produced a good performance from the midfield that keep high possesion.
Argentina: Despite showing signs of being very good, their defense concedes too many cheap goals
Argentina showed improvement in the defence and were able to kill the game even with Croatia 61% possession yet 2 shots on Target whereas, Argentina made 7 (almost 4x) shot on target. Although I am unsure which team will win today's match, I don't see Argentina losing in the final.
449  Other / Meta / Re: First forum's post 13 years ago by Satoshi introducing Bitcoin on: December 14, 2022, 06:32:50 AM

The time showed that I did not make my post based on the tweet of Binance and retweet of CZ Binance, but it is interesting to know that the richest and most influential man in crypto acknowledges the forum, Satoshi and his last day on the forum on the most active social platforms for cryptocurrency.

Just how bad is the bear market right now?
Historically low prices have endured for a longer period of time in the present bear market cycle than in any other.

There is a way to quote a post on the forum that I don't think you understand. The previous reference should have been buttressed or opposed with this post. It can be considered spam.
451  Other / Meta / Re: First forum's post 13 years ago by Satoshi introducing Bitcoin on: December 13, 2022, 02:46:18 PM

It is 12 years since his last post and the forum continue and has gain membership of top cryptocurrency developer including Vitalik Buterin(Ethereum Developer)
It is always worth celebrating the man behind bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto. The coin and forum that birthed cryptocurrency as a space especially with a no cost for some and the great awareness with the advent of bitcointalk. The decentralization of currency, produced many millionaires that had come as a holder cryptocurrency and other uses of blockchain
452  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: December 13, 2022, 11:21:35 AM
The Southern District of New York (SDNY) has charge the Government Bahama through the United State Government to arrest FTX CEO Sam Bankmand Fried to be arrested for prosecution. He is expected to be extradited to the US, although there no enough information on the time. However, he had spent a night in custody and will be in court today, maybe without bail for now until the decision on extradition.

453  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Accumulation phase is out!? on: December 12, 2022, 10:34:16 PM
(....)
I say this phase has already begun. So, what do you guys have to say?
Long crypto winter for me until the Bitcoin block halving. Especially the year 2022 is coming to an end, and we expect the year 2024 will be the year of the Bitcoin block halving event.
So for me, during the year 2023, it's gonna be challenging for the entire market. Yes, accumulation for me is for this year, I believe, especially since we already fall below $20,000 and Bitcoin is having difficulty regaining this area, we are now in sideways.
In the past halving comes far ahead of the market bottom, especially bitcoin bottom and pricing would have started to help miners encourage miner while they break even. Accumulation has begun and many institution have been very busy loading their bags
454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 12, 2022, 09:23:46 PM

Well, I don't know about every other team, but whatever Morocco has been doing, that is whatever way they've been playing, it seems to be working for them, no body expected them to make it close to the quarter finals, but here they are at the semi finals, if they are lucky, we might see them in the grand finale.
I think Morocco has a really strong defence and that has helped them win the two matches that qualified them for the semi finals, they might not know how to keep the ball in their possession long enough, but they are good at defending and also good at turning opportunities to goal though they sometimes still missed a greater number of potential goals.
In their coming game against France, if they play better than they have played in their previous two matches, it is possible they could win the world cup.
Greece did the same thing in Greece 2004 and they won the Euro tournament. They relied on counterattack and stayed in defence, it is described and negative football and it fustrates the opponent when goals are not scored. I dont rule out this with morroco and not just satify with their passes

having attackers who know when to make goals in relying on counterattacks, and their midfielder Azzedine Ounahi always breaks down the opponent's defense to open up space for their attackers, this is why Morocco has always been the top seed of some their matches from the round of 16 to the World Cup Semi-Finals, they always surprise all the big countries, even Portugal has to be defeated by Morocco.
I predicted a win for Morocco against Spain without seeing any Morocco game, Spain team is not good against African Team. Morocco didnt do well in front of goal and want them to do better in the next game.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest Scam History in the Cryptocurrency on: December 11, 2022, 10:08:22 PM
At this moment the biggest scam in the Cryptocurrency by market cap is Ethereum. It's far ahead of its competitors.  Cool
In the forum, don't create FUD about Ethereum without sources and information. There are times when you see a team struggle with a project, tried to be as transparent as possible, available every time to inform the community around their project, yet some people continue to call it a scam. It has appeared that Ethereum has become too centralized and many people want to know more about the currency with 18% value in the space.
456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 11, 2022, 09:23:43 PM
we are talking about football, not just the wishes of the fans.
At this point in the competition it is fair to say that all the teams that have made it this far are potential winners and no team should be underestimated. Croatia can win, Argentina can win, Morocco can win and even France can defend their title. We will be able to be more accurate in predictions when we have just two teams left, as of now, all the teams are likely winners.
It is possible for me to identify the weaknesses of each team that other teams could exploit
Croatia; Due to a lack of a prolific striker, they scored few goals in the tournament, which can cause problems if an opponent leads by two goals
Although they have produced a good performance from the midfield that keep high possesion.
Morocco; their main focus is on counterattack and compact defense, however, they have a lot of loose passes and have lost many players to injury.
Argentina: Despite showing signs of being very good, their defense concedes too many cheap goals
France: Equally good, but can the midfielder handle Croatia's strong midfield?
457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin high prediction 2023? on: December 10, 2022, 09:36:16 PM
Bitcoin's price will be higher at the end of 2023 than it was at the beginning, mainly because of the approaching halving in Q2 of 2024. Additionally, I anticipate that most countries will relax their economic policies after recovering from the effects of the war and pandemic, which will allow for gradual inflows of funds into investments around the world.
458  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Indonesian ban on sex outside marriage affect businesses adversely? on: December 10, 2022, 01:07:04 PM
As a result of the pandemic, tourism to many of these countries had declined and they have adjusted to that. Tourism contributes a very small percentage to Indonesia's GDP as well. It would be expected that a country where the majority of the population is Muslim should have a silent law on that before now and regular visitors should have the knowledge of it. To make money, businesses don't always have to be sexually provocative. I am in favor of protecting the community and its beliefs
459  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal hand to hand with Cryptos on: December 08, 2022, 09:36:38 PM
Paypal has been doing this for years already as they realized the demand for crypto and adopting it might benefit them a lot. Paypal is doing things slowly but surely and focusing in one area with a great demand for crypto is a good strategy. This is a good development from Paypal and hopefully they’ll also introduce this to many countries and make things more possible, this is a good news for every Paypal users.
This is a great time to begin testing some new ideas and ventures in cryptocurrency for existing establishments that have shown interest for a long time, and Paypal is a great name to lead this effort. Moreover, Luxembourg is also a small community to have a financial institution of this type, and I hope they can establish a long-term partnership in this area.

Hello I am new to this thread. I live in London not Africa but crypto is  a global movement and I believe it has more potential for good or harm in Africa than anywhere else.

https://cryptostar.money/country/world/africa/ lists 185 crypto businesses in Africa.

It is my website and welcome any advice or feedback you can give me.
What are your dream in cryptocurrency? What can you do differently in UK with cryptocurrency?
