If that is the case... Download an old copy of multibit classic from here: https://multibit.org/release-info/classic/v0.5.19.html

Install that and after running it... See if you can open the ".key" file using the instructions I posted above.

If that all works, you should be able to then export the private keys... Create the output with no password and you'll then have a plaintext file with your private keys that you can then import into the wallet of your choice.
4402  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Wallet 3.3.4 Problem on: April 16, 2019, 09:32:23 PM
My OS is windows 10
I'm running Electrum v3.3.4, just fine on Windows 10.

Have you checked for system updates? "Start -> Settings -> Updates and Security"

Make sure you have downloaded and installed all updates... AND that you have restarted the PC... see if that fixes your problem before worrying about downloading unnecessary updates using KB (knowledge base) articles.

If it doesn't, it might be that your wallet file has become corrupted. Users have had issues in the past with a corrupt wallet file causing this error (Electrum attempts to open the last used wallet file automatically on startup).

Do you have your 12 word seed mnemonic backup? If so, you can try the following to see if it helps.

Firstly, uou will need to move all the wallet files from "C:\Users\[YOURUSERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Electrum\wallets" to a temporary location. NOTE: if you cannot see the "AppData" folder, you can either press Start and type: %appdata% and then press enter or you can follow the directions here for showing hidden files/folders.

Make a backup of all those wallet files, then delete them from the %AppData%\Electrum\wallets folder... Once you have deleted them, try starting up Electrum. If it opens OK, then a corrupt wallet file was causing your problem. You can now restore your wallet using your 12 word seed mnemonic backup.
4403  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum private keys issue on: April 16, 2019, 09:28:36 PM
How did your addresses look like?

If they started with a 1, choose Legacy
If they started with a 3, choose p2sh-segwit
If they started with bc1, choose native-segwit

I don't remember what my address started with
Then just try each one... you can create multiple wallet files in Electrum, so just repeat the process, put in seed words, then try the different script types until you find the wallet.

If you still don't find the correct wallet, then it would appear you have written the seed down wrong... When you selected the "BIP39" option... did it say "BIP39 (failed checksum)" on the screen?

Ok, on PC when I go to import my 12 word private key, Electrum won't accept them. The 'next' button simply will not activate. I'm at a real loss here. I know these are the correct keys but cannot get them to work.
How do you know that these are the correct 12 words? Have you ever used them before to restore your wallet? Were these 12 words generated by Electrum, or did you create them in another wallet and import them when moving to Electrum from another wallet? Huh
4404  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Anyone running AB core? (android full node)? on: April 16, 2019, 09:17:12 PM
BTW Should I Make The Tutorial+Syncing with Electrum In English?
Wouldn't syncing with Electrum also require an Electrum server? Huh AFAIK, You can't connect an Electrum client directly to a "Core" node.

IMO, this type of stuff really isn't suited to mobile devices... the processing required+storage space would make it very difficult to do much else on the device. If you need access "on the go", and don't want to provide external access to your "home" network, you'd be better off setting up a VPS somewhere with just your (walletless) Bitcoin Core+Electrum Server... and connecting directly to that.

Not wanting to state the obvious... but the username that posted on both of those external forums... is the same (or similar) as the username that posted on Bitcointalk... So, possibly just the same guy posting in different places? Huh

Seems a bit harsh to go straight to "plagiarism"...

About all I can advise is trying to follow the steps here to regain control of your Gmail: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6294825

Sadly, as for all the crypto, that's gone... your chances of recovery are basically nil. Sad Undecided

You can try contacting the exchanges, but usually they'll just lock your accounts... and unless you had completed KYC and are verified, getting them back will be difficult.
4408  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: how to run Qt-wallet as server for electrum mobile on: April 16, 2019, 02:57:55 AM
That honestly looks like they've just taken the true Electrum source code, made very minimal changes (including not changing the title or authors!!?! Shocked Shocked) and then compiled and released an Android APK...

What do you get when you tap the "wallet name" at the top of the main Electrum screen? You should see the wallet details and a "Show Seed" button. If you click that, do you get 12 word seed?

EDIT: sent you some external contact details via PM in case you are having issues with posting/message limits
4409  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: This guy scammed me for ADA which I was selling on marketplace on: April 16, 2019, 02:47:34 AM
I think the conversation from telegram or any 3rd party conversation is not enough to tell that he is scammer you must provide a proof that you ask the telegram account name here on bitcointalk like a screenshot from the conversation in your Bitcointalk messages(PM).

If you just input the screenshot from the telegram conversation without telling us how did you get his telegram account we can not say that he is scammer.
don't know why would anyone think that I would come here and not tell the truth about this poor scammer soul? I have no interest in telling lies about this guy, he's scammer, I got scammed because I'm stupid for trusting him... Everyone can check thread which I made on markeplace where I sent the guy my ada but he had some problems with payoneer and we weren't able to complete transaction, and then this scammer came in... I have no reason to lie about this guy, this is conversation we made, I know I have no reputation but fact that he removed post from my thread can tell something to moderation... I hope they can see that he removed the post from my thread...

It isn't that we don't believe that you *think* you were scammed by "yoloyet" aka @ambosss... but it is actually quite simple for people on Telegram to create identical/similar "usernames" to commit scams by pretending to be other users.

So, we need to see some actual proof, other than your word, that definitively links yoloyet (Bitcointalk account) and the account that you were talking to on Telegram ("yolo"). Should you be able to show that the "yolo" account that you were talking to on Telegram is indeed @ambosss, there is sufficient proof in yoloyet's bitcointalk history to show that he is @ambosss.

Without this, all we have is some screenshots from someone called "yolo". Undecided

i have some coins (similar bitcoin) in electrum mobile.
Are you saying that you are using Altcoins that have an "Electrum"-like mobile wallet? Huh

Quote
how i can move my coins from electrum mobile => Qt-wallet?

thank you for reading

p/s: i can't import privatekey which export from electrum wallet => Qt-wallet. ( it look different format)[/size]
You definitely should be able to export the private keys from the "electrum" wallet... although if it is truly based on the Bitcoin verions of Electrum mobile, it'll only export either the "12 word seed menmonic" or the Master Private Key (aka "xprv")...

Using either of those, you should be able to use tools that will allow you to generate the private keys for each address in your wallet... tools like:
Ian Coleman's BIP39 Mnemonic Converter: https://iancoleman.io/bip39/
Electrum specific version of the same tool: https://github.com/FarCanary/ElectrumSeedTester

Once you have the correct private keys, you'll be able to import them into the QT wallet fairly easily.

What coins, and what wallet specific are you using? Huh
4411  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Transaction Disappeared on: April 16, 2019, 02:13:10 AM
I did a receive transaction and it showed up under requests after I saved it then I closed the wallet and reopened it now the request has disappeared.
To actually "receive" bitcoins, you don't create a transaction and you don't need to use the "receive" tab in Electrum... All you do is give your Bitcoin Address to the sender, and they create a transaction that assigns coins to your address.

What you did was basically create an "invoice"... the "receive" tab in Electrum is only used if you want to make it easy for someone to send you coins (or you want to create a temporary record as a reminder to yourself that you're expecting payment to a specific address for a specific amount)... Basically, Electrum lets you create a "request" that will have your address and the amount you want and send it to another person. That other person can simply click "pay" or scan the QR code etc and their wallet should hopefully autofill all the fields.

Quote
It is also not showing up in the history section and I havent received the transaction. What has happened?
Creating a "request" is simply a record on your local wallet, to assist you matching incoming payments to requests... like receipts and invoices. So, you won't see anything in your history section... until the sender actually broadcasts a transaction to the network.

As for why the request has been removed from the "requests" list on the "Receive" tab? Either, you've opened a different wallet file... or it's also possible that the request "expired" (they can be setup with an expiry time) and was removed from the wallet.

NOTE: not having the request showing does NOT affect the ability to receive coins... you do NOT need to create requests to receive coins.

Most people don’t actually update their posts when they get their problem fixed.
Which is only marginally less annoying than people who post "Help Me!"-type threads... and then, after getting troubleshooting advice and/or various suggestions to try to fix their issue... the OP will simply put in a single line post that says "Fixed! Thanks" or similar and contains no explanation of how their problem was actually solved Undecided  Angry
4413  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: poloniex.com scam on: April 15, 2019, 10:17:47 PM
Yes its scam because i am verifed member, and they not replied to me after i send selfie, 4 days passed.
That doesn't make it a scam... that is Poloniex having poor support and customer service Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

If they just instablocked your account and confiscated all your coins without a valid reason, that would be a scam.

Most likely, something has happened that has triggered the security block on your account... trading from a different geographical location, account waking up after a period of inactivity and suddenly withdrawing a large amount, multiple logins from various locations, unusual account activity etc.

Them asking for a selfie, is probably them trying to match to your original "verified" documents... to confirm that the person withdrawing coins is the legitimate owner of the account. That sort of thing requires manual review and verification, which requires time.

Granted 4 days is pretty unacceptable, but then, Poloniex is renowned for having terrible wait times for support requests. Undecided

I do not know how managers can even takes newbies with 2 posts on their campaign.
The vast majority of altcoin campaigns are likely to end up in "failed" projects... be it outright scams, or just coins/tokens with zero support and no exchange listing etc.

The project owners do not care about the quality of the user they are getting, they only need to get that initial "hype" and for their project to be spammed all over the internet... then hope that #FOMO will take over and people will dump money into it... so they'll take anyone with a bitcointalk/youtube/blog/twitter/facebook account. Roll Eyes Undecided

All they care about is their "advertisement" being put in front of as many "investors" as possible... hoping to convert that into "investment".

The participants do not care about being quality users either... they only care about the number of "stakes" they'll get for some shitcoin/shittoken, hoping that "this will be the one that moons!" so they'll actually make more than $3 from spending 4 weeks spamming and retweeting like bots (or actually using bots) Roll Eyes

I honestly don't know why you guys keep wasting time hunting people "abusing bounties with alts"... the managers obviously don't care, the projects don't seem to care... why do you? Huh

4416  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Speed up transaction on: April 15, 2019, 09:33:57 PM
First of all... Did you send this transaction? or are you the receiver?

As sender, you can try RBF (which you say you can't do)... or CPFP.
As receiver, you can only try CPFP.

to do a CPFP, you need to spend one of the outputs... So, which output address is yours: bc1qqa8s5qu657cwwgjvkj3zh0c7wqn00qj02pag92 or 1Gn64nqDZkLDhzBhjbd6CSCPyamU3kTv3H?
4417  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: i am not able to use my btc`s on: April 15, 2019, 09:21:12 PM
so now i can see the btc`s on my wallet but i am not able to use anything from this because there is an error after broadcast transaction:  Error validating transaction: Error running script for input 0 referencing 9af91f0c9cbd613b70ce0adce206d2661929a942054d230fff10176713317282 at 6: Script was NOT verified successfully..
Are you able to confirm which Address(es) listed in the transaction you posted are yours: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/tx/9af91f0c9cbd613b70ce0adce206d2661929a942054d230fff10176713317282

Is it: 3DgfxRwn2eunfptwfeqdeUK6uMUfHgPvZr?

It would seem that coinb.in believes the "script" for the input you're attempting to spend is invalid...

my second problem is, if i wanna do a transaction from my wallet i get a information because of to high fees!
what can or must do to get lower fees??
Coinb.in has a field for entering the exact fee you want to use. Simply recalculate the fee required and enter what you need/want.

If you are still having issues, you might want to consider exporting your private keys from coinb.in and try importing them into a different wallet  like Electrum (https://electrum.org/#download)
4418  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: The attack on Electrum servers seems to be over on: April 15, 2019, 09:13:01 AM
I wouldn't be confident enough to say it is "over"... I suspect that IP list of the DDoS botnet that got released (and was constantly being updated) might have mitigated the attack to the point that the network is more or less running "OK".

No doubt it is quite expensive trying to spool up more and more devices as they are constantly being rendered useless. Tongue

I'd be more prone to say that this "round" is over...

Not a straight copy/paste... but more of a "thesaurus script". Basically, the original text has just had selected words and short phrases replaced with synonyms.

Advances <--> Promotes, Changeless <--> Immutable, "How about we dig further into its significance, one of a kind sort and key preferences" <--> "Let’s delve further into its importance, unique nature and key advantages."

It's fairly obvious reading just the first couple of sentences... the words and phrases used as replacements just don't quite make sense in some parts. eg. "digital wrongdoing" instead of "cyber-crime" or "cryptographic money" vs. "cryptocurrency" Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Tongue

Post by New Launched Coins (Archived)
Blockchain innovation has been a hotly debated issue as of late, revolutionizing the manner in which we work together in different businesses. How about we dig further into its significance, one of a kind sort and key preferences.

Decentralized Nature

In a blockchain, a grouping of PCs make up a system, and processing power is appropriated equally.

By disseminating a record, the danger of altering, extortion and digital wrongdoing is limitlessly decreased as the consideration of more hubs implies that the framework is more diligently to 'bring down'.

Advances Trust and Transparency

Right now, a focal substance in a monetary organization tracks our exchanges, spoke to as a record.

Consider the possibility that two gatherings that don't confide in one another need to make an exchange without experiencing this focal element. That is the place blockchain comes in.

The innovation enables the two gatherings to lead an exchange by conveying the record to numerous hubs and matching up this record through accord. This opens a wide scope of conceivable exchanges that couldn't have happened beforehand without a focal substance.

Changeless

The changeless factor in blockchain guarantees that the information does not get controlled, supplanted or adulterated in any capacity whatsoever. Any concurred and shared exchange over the system is additionally about difficult to fix. This aides in circumstances where certain information should be followed precisely and effectively.

Decentralized

The requirement for middle people and outsiders is decreased with blockchain. This likewise decreases costs by disposing of these mediators. Proficiency is likewise expanded as exchanges are led between companions.

Blockchain innovation has numerous focal points and is always being investigated for further applications. A solid application is as of now the utilization of cryptographic money on the blockchain, where you can exchange and store computerized resources.

Original work... by Kyle Young @ "The Daily Hodl":
Blockchain technology has been a hot topic in recent years, revolutionizing the way we do business in various industries. Let’s delve further into its importance, unique nature and key advantages.

Decentralized Nature

In a blockchain, an assortment of computers make up a network, and computing power is distributed evenly.

By distributing a ledger, the risk of tampering, fraud and cyber crime is vastly reduced as the inclusion of more nodes means that the system is harder to ‘take down’.

Promotes Trust and Transparency

Currently, a central entity in a financial institution keeps records of our transactions, represented as a ledger.

What if two parties that don’t trust each other want to make a transaction without going through this central entity? That’s where blockchain comes in.

The technology allows both parties to conduct a transaction by distributing the ledger to many nodes and syncing this ledger via consensus. This opens a wide range of possible transactions that couldn’t have happened previously without a central entity.

Immutable

The immutable factor in blockchain ensures that the data does not get manipulated, replaced or falsified in any way, shape or form. Any agreed and shared transaction across the network is also nearly impossible to undo. This helps in situations where certain data needs to be tracked accurately and efficiently.

Decentralized

The need for intermediaries and third parties is reduced with blockchain. This also helps to reduce costs by eliminating these middlemen. Efficiency is also increased as transactions are conducted between peers.

Blockchain technology has many advantages and is constantly being explored for further applications. A strong application is currently the use of cryptocurrency on the blockchain, where you can trade and store digital assets.

4420  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Payment Processing Time on: April 15, 2019, 01:32:12 AM
Note that in probably 99.99% of cases, "rebroadcasting --> quicker confirmation" is a fallacy and it is just the result of pure coincidence. It's not like it pushes you up a queue, or marks your transaction as important or in any way alters the priority of your transaction.

If your transaction is showing up on block explorers like blockchain.com, blockcypher, blockchair etc... then rebroadcasting is generally not necessary, especially if the transaction is less than 3 days old and even then, it is more likely to hang around for up to 14 days on a lot of nodes.

The "old" default mempool expiry time was 72 hours (3 days)... but because of incidents of the mempool getting "flooded", there were times when 3 days wasn't enough and transactions were being dropped and it was causing a lot of confusion, so the default mempool expiry time was pushed out to 14 days.

Of course, this is just the "default" setting... and individual "nodes" are free to set whatever they like... but generally speaking, the vast majority of nodes will hold your transaction for a minimum of 3 days.

Rebroadcasting is really only needed if your transaction is no longer found on block explorers... once that starts to occur, then rebroadcasting is not only helpful, but probably necessary.

As for OPs transaction, sadly... it looks like they walked into a "Bitcoin price increase", that naturally comes with increased network activity as people move Bitcoin around to buy/sell etc. The graphs on https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#0,24h really show that quite well... currently (@0130 UTC 2019-04-15), the mempool is up over 8 megabytes (around 8 blocks worth)... and OPs fee puts their transaction in the bottom 2/3's of that pile.

TL/DR; your transaction is STILL going to take a while to confirm! Undecided
