Here is my table I made for the one of my guides :

Code:
[center][table]
[tr][td][color=white]________________[/color][/td][td][color=white]_____________________[/color][/td][td][color=white]________________[/color][/td][/tr]
[tr][td][b]RANK [/b][/td]
[td][center][b]Activity[/b][/center][/td]
[td][center][b]Merit[/b][/center][/td]

[/tr]
[tr][td]Brand new[/td][td][center]0[/center][/td][td][center]0[/center][/td][/tr]
[tr][td]Newbie[/td][td][center]1[/center][/td][td][center]0[/center][/td][/tr]

@iasenko: You are wasting your time mate. This person needs to find the stuffs by himself. Let him study the forum.

I've been trough this myself, struggling with this tables too when I started making my guides, It was easy just to copy someones work but I wanted to understand it. I know how pissed off one can be.. The guy is looking for help, so I tried to help despite his attitude. Helping someone is never a lost cause ... /well, if he is not trying to hide a body,tho/

There are many threads facing the problem with using tables.
One example now, i'll find more.

I see that the problem happens here in the first example too.

See the second link, there are no problems with the words.

Yeah I also find it quite hard to make the table look nice, the spacing always get messed up. Tried the below seems to be a little better:

Column1.................... | Column2
row 1, cell 1 | row 1, cell 2
row 2, cell 1 | row 2, cell 2

What I tried:
Code:

[table]
[tr]
[td] [b]Column 1....................[/b] [/td][td]|[/td]
[td] [b]Column 2[/b] [/td]
[/tr]
[tr]
[td] row 1, cell 1 [/td][td]|[/td]
[td] row 1, cell 2 [/td]
[/tr]
[tr]
[td] row 2, cell 1 [/td][td]|[/td]
[td] row 2, cell 2 [/td]
[/tr]
[/table]

You can just use the "report to moderator" link in the bottom right corner.
Just write that he is spamming, and reposting.
The mods know how to deal with such scumbags.
4465  Other / Meta / Re: [Guide] Reporting effectively on: June 25, 2018, 08:27:59 PM
Anyone know how many reports are needed to see the full report history? I have 273 reports (254 good, 3 bad, 16 unhandled) and don't have access. Given mdayonliner's report page, my guess is that it unlocks after 300 reports or 300 good reports.

We have to ask theymos about it.
I have the full report history from day 1, but I have over 1000 good reports.
Quote
You have reported 1186 posts with 100% accuracy (1121 good, 10 bad, 55 unhandled).

The unhandled ones are for using homographs.

4467  Economy / Collectibles / [Question] How to find the price of this coin? on: June 25, 2018, 02:35:15 PM
Hello,
I guess this is not the correct section but I see no other place to ask for price of a physical coin.
First I do not own this coin but I got offer to buy it so I'm not sure what is a reasonable price to buy it.
As you can see I'm newbie in collecting physical coins and I need your help.

4468  Other / Meta / Re: Where can I ask about learning to mine Bitcoin? on: June 25, 2018, 01:50:52 PM
I was like you back in 2013 and I mined some satoshi with my home PC without even knowing what I was doing.
What do you want to know, maybe I can help Wink

I'm jealous - I wish I had done that. Smiley

At the moment I'm at the stage where I don't know what I want to know. I'll install some mining software, and see if it recognises the graphics card. If it doesn't I'll have to have a rethink.

Back in the day, we had no idea what we were doing, I owned (still owing) a computer repair shop so we tried a different cards, just for fun, nothing serious. I did't learn much about it tho, just tried. My buddy begin to mine more serious again a few months ago, but ETH.
I doubt you can mine bitcoin with a regular PC anymore.
I had some fun mining ETN this winter, it was cold and I used the home PCs for heating, as I said it was just for the sport with a regular old gaming PC Wink

I was expecting that, and If my word has some weight here, I totally support his application. This is a great example of a helping person, with detailed explanations and examples, I see no better candidate for merit source but Welsh as far as I have an overview of the forum members.
Good luck to you man.

Hello, first read the rules. Wrong place to post and wrong style to post..

I hate welcoming people like this but, its better for you ..

I wrote this earlier today to a different newbie but it applies here too >

Better to move it to archive and lock it. Reference the rules, to the OP, read the whole thread, not only the quote below, its a good starting point.

Such posts like "SELL SELL SELL", "I agree", "+1", "Support", "Watching", "Interesting", "LOL", "SCAM", "LEGIT", "FAKE", other one word posts, posts consisting mostly of swearing, quote pyramids, useless introduction threads, threads about a topic already recently discussed in several other threads.

A good newbie starting point is this thread >

4474  Other / Meta / Re: [Request]Using homographs to be forbiden and added to the rules, Vote please. on: June 25, 2018, 09:58:06 AM
Here's an even better tool for checking for homographs: https://www.textmagic.com/free-tools/unicode-detector

Just copy and paste the text in, and any Unicode character will be highlighted in red. If you suspect someone of using homograph plagiarism, you can go their profile and copy in an entire page of recent posts to check them all in about 10 seconds.

This is a great tool, thanks.

There is no problem in detecting them but reporting them. Let me explain.
Using only homographs is no rule-breaking, the problem is that those who use this technique are trying to hide copy-pasting.
But to accuse someone in copy-pasting first you have to correct the post back to normal Latin characters, and then search for the original posts. Which takes time, even if you are using Word with "replace all" option.

I just want to add the homographs to the rules, because using them is no beneficial for the forum at all.
Doing so, you can directly report the homographs and skip the plagiarism part.

Bump, last 3 days history with more than 70 cases of using homographs:

If you need any assistance with the guide or editing, let me know.
I tried to find a screenshot of my bad reports I remember I took some time ago but couldn't find any.
If I find something I'll post it here so you can use it as an example Wink

Don't worry, the guy is on a suicide mission right now... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4518104.20

Poor Vod, he promised the guy to sell his website and give the money to his family.

There were many bitcoin billoniar ,but i did not get any help from anyone .Going to kill me in 5 mins .i sent my website  full details  to Vod and admin themoys  .If anyone want to help my daughter and wife ,they will be happy and can live smoothly.Bye community ,bye world. God forgive me.

I can confirm he has sent me his website details, and I told him I would try and sell the websites and give the money to his family.  He has yet to provide me with any payment details - just his BTC address, and he keeps PMing me asking if I have sold it yet.

I will do this in about two weeks.

4479  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Climate change and the power crisis.. on: June 24, 2018, 12:11:46 PM
At the 2015 United Nation's Framework Agreement on Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC) the nations of the world agreed to limit temperature rise due to climate change to 20C

How would they expect to achieve this?  Even if we stop all fossil fuel burning NOW, the earth's temperature is still going to rise for the next half century or so.

I know the way to cool down the Earth quickly and fix the global human population growth problem at the same time but... is called nuclear winter, I hope they don't go for that "solution" even with those crazy heads like Putin,Trump, Kim..
4480  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: One (1) Merit point to Rank-up Service, READ THE RULES BEFORE YOU APPLY!! on: June 24, 2018, 11:29:29 AM
Before you rank-up, people, you have to understand the main idea of the forum.
To develop and popularize the cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, so please don't take it as a "working place" or "main income" sort of thing.
You have to give something from you, and yes, I'm not talking about spending hours spamming your bullshit around and making more mess.

Be creative in the positive way and spend more time on learning than "working" here.
This is an amazing source of information and you are so lucky to have a chance to lurk in it ask questions and learn, but you are only wasting time to destroy it.

I know you don't really care about what some beardy guy has to say, but think a little what happens when there are too many monkeys on a single branch? It breaks.
