I don't mind paying that. When the concept is well-defined the design and implementation is easy. If others are willing to join and sacrifice, then I will contribute even more. My fear is that many people want to reap before anything is sown.
there are lots of coins already. you wont need an idea anymore, all you just need to do is improve thier codes and plan, think why those coins fail. And so you can prevent your coin from failing, if you need a marketing/community manager, let me know.  i can handle this for you. |

when its something new, people don't usually shift to it besides to be able to use bitcoin one would have to learn about how wallets work and how to send and they may even wanna know how bitcoin works because that case they will start to trust the system.

i'm not holding this time, i just spend it to the coins in ICO to profit for their pump. I don't have much bitcoin anyway. but i guess it would be sane to hold if i have about 10 btc to profit more incase 1 btc is doubled this coming halving.

Well, this only works when the ICO price goes up on trading (which I admit does a lot). However, if the price is flat or down, then you're either selling for a loss or selling to break even. The point is, the strategy should be followed for all ups, not just at the ICO. Some coins don't go up immediately after the ICO (Factom comes to mind) but will go up later. In that case, it is better to hold for that first pump. Of course, the risk is that pump never comes.
I never said it was foolproof. All ICOs are a gamble and yes most ICOs do go up but there is no guarantee. Also even if it does go up you may forgo even larger profits that you could have had if you waited - e.g. ETHER all time high (so far) was nearly a year after release, so if you held on to your ETHER and sold at that point you would make much more than if you had sold some of your coins in the first pump. On the other hand NEUCOIN went down almost immediately after launch and doesn't seem likely to ever even reach the ICO price again. It's all a question of risk and how much risk you want to take. None of us have a crystal ball (at least one that works) and can predict the future with 100% accuracy. When BTC was about to hit $1 many people were saying that it was the right time to sell because it would never sustain such a high value and would soon crash down to a few cents. You just never know for sure and that is cryptocurrency in general. In the case of WAVES the POS/lending model gives an alternative way to increase your holdings though. Also given the high community interest and buzz surrounding WAVES I think if anything the risk will be more about lost profits from selling early so people should think carefully about what would bother them more - losing their initial investment or doing the equivalent of selling their WAVES early like those who sold BTC for a $1. I don't think they'd wait for the first pumped, they'd all be dumping even when its just $0.50 maybe even less. Cash out and enjoy $500 gain. is it an option not to release the coin to any exchanges sites until its price good enough? |

Very true. In world till 2145 bitcoin mining will work and till that time 21 billion bitcoins will be generated. After finishing all blocks there will be just interaction and exchange of bitcoins. So in that case value of bitcoin and some other cryptocurrency will be higher. That amount cannot predict now. But as per my opinion it will goes up to $10000+. Once 21 million are already generated, its also the start of the decline of price as the money will be distributed to some coins that existed. thus the reason why new coins these days has about 100 million of supply to last the more generations. sure we're all be dead by 2145 though |

Yes I think you can trust the bitcoin to put your money on to be honest, I even think its smart because of the profit you can make with it.
Compared with other currency's this is right now one of the most profitable ones.
we wouldn't be using bitcoin if its weren't safe. anyone can't get your coins unless they got the access key/password to your wallet thats the best security still comp[are to vaults for fiat money or banks. bitcoin is real money for it has value. you may not feel it is but surely it is |

thru the help of social media sites, movies and the drug sale on the tv news, bitcoin may just be use by everyone in the near future.
it would be really frustrating for banks if bitcoin would be use casually by people even when jsut buying on local or grocery stores.

The article about "Bitcoin Price Will Reach $10k in 2014" is actually published in 2014. I know they might've done the poll probably a month before new years but they could've probably published it a little sooner. Plus, they probably didn't expect the drop on that time. $100,000 in 2017. That'd be a good dream I won't try to wake up from. $100,000 will never happen though. what will happen is taht people will dump their bitcoin when it reach $500-600 and it would be staying in these support for a long time until the next halving. those users wil just about 5btc and up will dump to earn few hundreds and then buy again after the drop and it will go on and go for god knows when. |

As you can see now you see that the internet marketing will be more used now and the reason is that the world is also getting more digital so that is quite nice for the marketing.
And if you are going to do internet marketing than there will be also more people that will see it and that is quite nice.

From my little experience i have come to realize that some coin rise and fall and completely useless while some rise and soar higher and higher and this brought me to my question what makes a coin valuable?.

The funding should be a factor to make the coin valuable. Bitcoin as far as i know was premined yet those mined coins weren't spent and I guess that just makes the coin valuable as well. The people behind the coins can also help and also due to its use and functionality. |

there would be no need to divide satoshis is you will just use other coins to store your wealth though. perhaps those ETH, DASH, LTC and the rest would be more useful for you once the value of bitcoin becomes extremely high. I don't think I'd live more than 50 years from now before that would happen.
