4922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping people from using bitcoin? on: January 01, 2016, 04:19:39 AM
What's stopping people from using bitcoin are all the scam artists who are attracted to the technology.  People are afraid to associate themselves with a product that has a bad reputation and they are afraid of having their money stolen by thieves that they can't catch...That's what's stopping people from using bitcoin....scams!
Yeah. The reputation of Bitcoin does take a hit from how it's known to be used in dark web purchases and ponzis. The Mt. Gox incident also ruptured the reputation ob bitcoins. I guess people think that it's unsound to have the same currency as criminals, or they don't understand how it works and don't have enough faith to check it out.

It just too complicated and full of dangers for common people to get into it. And what will they actually accomplish? They can't use it anywhere, it's a hassle to even get a hold of, mostly if you are not in the States. What's the point? Bitcoin is an amazing innovative technology, no doubt about it, but it may take decades to evolve, just like the Internet was in the 90s.

well that is our advantage as we can be considered early adopters. eventually bitcoins will be known and people will use this its inevitable so long as the community uses btc
4923  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Hire some terrorist... on: January 01, 2016, 03:52:07 AM
so their aim is just to drop the difficulty a few notches?
why don't they  just extort the mining company and bomb if don't get what they want.
4924  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How big is a bitcoin? on: January 01, 2016, 03:26:56 AM
is the point of this question will result to have a program calculating file size?

Well, perhaps the way to put a size on it is to determine how much does the blockchain grows once a new Bitcoin is generated. The size of that initial transaction that creates the Bitcoin might be considered the "base" size of a Bitcoin.

If all Bitcoins were mined and they were not transferred (just locally to the miner's wallet) blockchain will still have a certain size. If we divided that size by the number of bitcoins... would not that be the (minimum) size of a Bitcoin?

what like 1mb per 25btc block solved..
but thats hard to measure as couple years ago a block gave 50btc and had less than 0.4btc average..
next  year the block limit will increase and the reward will halve..

and if your not going to just calculate the block reward vs the block.. and just wait till 2014 and then divide 21m by the total chain size.. that wont work either as transactions spend the exact same satoshi's many times a year.

the best logical answer is that a satoshi  1 is one byte and bitcoin is 100000000 9 bytes as recognised behind the scenes in the code.. or 10 bytes 1.00000000 as recognised front end in the gui

and you'd have to re-edit the codes every halving.
4925  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] 64blocks.com Bitcoin Gambling Website on: December 31, 2015, 06:57:01 PM
cloverme's suggestion is great. maybe a lot of users will create their own while you have the option not to abandon yours as well.
Good luck with the certification, Juniper is becoming better than CISCO though, companies hate proprietary network protocols of CISCO.

I dunno about that suggestion. We'll have to think about that one. As for Cisco and Juniper and Avaya and Ubiquiti and everyone else, most employers look at Cisco as the standard, even if they do not have any actual Cisco equipment. Market share. If I have a Cisco cert, I can probably get a job at a Juniper company. The other way around, not so much, it's a maybe.

I believe the point is to get past the HR filter; that's another topic.

The currents stats are referred to one month/ one years of play in the game?
There is an user account here on the forum linked to your site that you can sell also?

The stats are all time, since it started, updated in real time on the site itself.

You don't need a user account on this forum to play on the site. You can just go there directly.

4928  Economy / Service Discussion / How do campaign manager count the valid posts of users? on: December 31, 2015, 06:05:40 PM

I might apply as Campaign Manager but was thinking whether they manually check the posts which seem to be tiring or simply use some software to do it,
any experienced campaign manager can explain this?
4929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big banks creating Bitcoin alternative on: December 31, 2015, 05:50:56 PM
The problem with the banks having an alternative is that they are way bigger then the bitcoin economy.
Suppose the 10 biggest banks forced their blockchain onto their customers, Bitcoin would lose right away.

its the other way round, it will instead help bitcoin's economy.
4930  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Looking to purchase a dark green trust legendary member account. on: December 31, 2015, 03:11:12 PM
Users take out loans against their accounts all the time here and when those loans are defaulted on, the lenders take those accounts and sell them to cover their losses. Not everyone who purchases an account is out to scam people. I have purchased accounts purely for future advertising purposes and to help lenders recoup their losses, nothing more. I also run contests, and purchase from users in the marketplace on a regular basis and TRY to do as much good as I can in the forum community. But Sellers of accounts should never sell to someone who is a known scammer either. Just my opinion!

We understand that but the OP needs a Hero with green trusts, WHY? it does seem really suspicious. he could have just ask for a Hero without the green trusts.
4931  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Looking to purchase a dark green trust legendary member account. on: December 31, 2015, 09:41:05 AM

BE careful cause we'll gonna tag that legendary account as sold so it wont be used to scam.

It is paramount that you give the account details directly to me while the Bitcoins are in escrow. Without a third party knowing the details.
This is going to make it difficult for the escrow to mediate any disputes between you and the seller. There would be nothing to stop you from claiming that you received credentials that were not valid and there would be nothing to stop a seller from sending you bogus credentials that are not valid, and the escrow would not have any way of knowing for sure who is telling the truth.
Yes, this could be solved if the account seller was also doing the escrow. Shocked

Totally agree with you. Quickseller knew it well

4932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A question about the release of Darkcoin/Dashcoin on: December 31, 2015, 07:07:44 AM
Why like 99% who talks about Dash are guys from Monero including a developer? (҂⌣̀_⌣́)

I never cared why Monero developers did a shady launch either and somehow the old crew just left and we have a new group who did not do much since Monero came beside bug fixing. (•̀o•́)ง

It just makes you all look like a certified A class haters really; because you are not competing with technology nor innovation...you are really just hating here on forums on the project and Evan himself.

Go fill Monero Ann thread with new updates at least the developers who are like everywhere " one is a gambler, one is hating on forums about another developer, another is in France with some issue....NO SYNC between all of them" None is working on Monero project it seems that is why it's taking you over a year man. Get things done please I already invested on Monero as well but man should I sell while it makes sense to me to just sell now?

Anyway, I came here like a month ago and I already regretting it, can't handle to much hate feels like internet drama here is getting on a personal level. (҂⌣̀_⌣́)

the drama actually helps the forum going. just sit back and take your localry popcorn.
4933  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P's scammed funds summary. Post your case here if you were scammed. on: December 31, 2015, 06:49:26 AM

4934  Economy / Speculation / Re: Oops Price is 425$ Now... on: December 31, 2015, 05:20:48 AM
it stabilized. that's just it. it may not go beyond 450 before the mid next year. i doubt some big whale once again will manipulates its price.
420 is enough to lure investors and i guess they've proved their point.
4935  Economy / Speculation / Re: Pump + Dump on: December 30, 2015, 04:33:13 PM

Back in the day most traders were amateurs. Hell you could even manipulate the price through a post on these forums.

These days most of the traders are either pro's (hedge funds or ex HF traders)

nice! do you think masterp's incident had influenced inflation?  Grin
4936  Economy / Gambling / Re: E-sports under one thread on: December 30, 2015, 04:09:43 PM
As far as no account needed I have not seen a site that compares direct bet. I'd say your best bet is nitrogen sports. If it's your first time going to the site you have the option to create an account or continue anonymously.but it will still be an account where you have to save the information, so you're better off just creating your own anyway. In my opinion nitrogens the safest book anyway. I've been using it since start up and have never had a problem.

Personally I don't trust any site that requires registration. I only want to make bet, it shouldn't be so hard. I guess either Directbet going to e-sports business or a new site should be created for that. Market is huge but nobody want to take their cut from this pie, that's surprising for me.

they only want to send spam your email lol. however, it help if you get to forget passwds Smiley

E-sports is cool, but betting on e-sports is not that cool. Because it's not a real sport

true that.
4937  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to get celebrities gambling? on: December 30, 2015, 01:53:10 PM
it would be very great promotion for bitcoins if celebrities started gambling with it and telling other people who like those famous ones about their experience with bitcoins, but i dont think we can do too much about it as we cant make them go gamble

you never know. some might even be here already hiding behind username. and i mean they themselves wouldnt announce such
