461  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predictions if Bitcoin ETFs are approved on: January 20, 2019, 02:24:50 PM
I think it will either have a great impact on the price or a horrible one. After all this has been something we have been waiting for for a long long time and if the price doesn't really go up like the way we imagine it will be than we will be left with a similar priced coin that didn't get affected by the thing we hoped it would. That would create a chaos and the price would drop significantly because of people who lost hope on bitcoin price panic selling the coins they hold.

That hopelessness will spread soon to other coins as well and there will be a lot of people who get out of bitcoin and crypto markets totally moving to something else. However if what we imagine happens than we will definitely go towards higher prices like we hoped and than everything will be fine.

Why one end or another? Do you really believe that SEC, which is US securities and exchange commision, can have so huge affect on crypto? We have governments and banks on one side, crypto on other side, let`s take a look on a simple example:

What is Bitcoin ETF?
Let's understand the Bitcoin ETF meaning - The Bitcoin ETF will be the fund where the underlying asset will be Bitcoin. The Bitcoin ETF will provide the retail investors an opportunity to buy Bitcoin directly through the stock market, without actually owning it.

If you buy a Bitcoin ETF, then you don’t have to worry about its technical challenges like maintaining a Bitcoin wallet, buying Bitcoin and keeping it safe as well.
Source https://coinswitch.co/news/bitcoin-etf-approval-what-is-bitcoin-etf

Now can you say me did we need a stock market before? Did we need to give someone our private keys before? What does bitcoin etf really means? For me that`s just funny, how one government is trying to suppress and somehow regulate very fast growing crypto community.

They're trying to control the number 1 cryptocurrency. They want everybody to participate once it's approve. Im not even sure if the BTC price will really rise if ever ETF get's approve because 2018 really slapped everyone with their prediction of bitcoin to hit $25k.

466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Bounty Hunters Hate KYC !!! on: January 19, 2019, 06:03:43 AM
What i know,  KYC means Know Your Customer ! Bounty hunters are there to Support ICO Project to spread the word about the project .. BUT as soon as the Project manager mention KYC then many  Hunter run away  ! Why? Is it  because  people  don't want review their identity  for security  reason  or people  are joining campaign  with bot software ..

I tell you the truth buddy from what I have observed. In every bounty, there are numerous entries made by a single participant farming the token rewards. Is not that fair for the company and for the participants? That person could easily sell-off what he got and affects the market price. I believe those who are complaining may be hard for them to pass KYC but I actually like it to reduce the risk of making the token/coin into a shitcoin. There may be no more hard dumpings. And passing KYC for me is simple as long as you follow what is ask.
467  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1NODE Scam - Fake Team + Delete Discord Server on: January 19, 2019, 01:41:10 AM
Thanks for the info! So That is why the contest stopped. Too bad I was one on the top leader boards but turned out they are an exit scam according to the contest manager which is not affiliated with them. Good thing they got caught before they get to scam more people. I'm guessing this scam is manned by 1 person only since the amount stolen isn't that much.

472  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The cost of Copper Membership will raise considerably on: January 17, 2019, 07:43:05 AM
If there is a voting poll how much should be the price for copper member, it should be 0.015 BTC on my view. With the INSTANT benefit of faster intervals on posts, unlocking the posting of images and most of the benefits a regular member rank has, that is already too much just by paying a few BTC. 0.0021 BTC is not that much that is why a lot of scammers out there would prefer to pay it and scam people. Increasing it to 0.00624 is only a slight increase for these benefits they are getting. I suggest to have it raise more.

Hi
did you have token private sales?

Yes, we sold token to the private investor.
How much did you raised so far?

From what I know, ICO hasn't started yet. According to their roadmap, it will begin in 2nd quarter of this year for ICO while pre-ICO is on 1st quarter. You can check more information at https://bitcademy.io/#roadmap. I guess the team will release the amount raised for private sale very soon.
477  Other / Off-topic / Re: Blockchain conferences - do you guys go to any? on: January 15, 2019, 09:59:43 AM
Nope I have never joined one before since tickets are too expensive. Entrance tickets and plane tickets. However, if there will be one nearby my house, then I will attend it for sure. I envy the rich since they are the only people who gets to join such event. Sometimes there are giveaways offered for a chance to join a conference with all-paid expenses but the chance of winning is very low since you have a lot of competitions.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum SCAM? on: January 15, 2019, 04:17:17 AM
With all due respect to you, I cannot agree with such a statement. Already today Ethereum is one of the most successful projects in the modern digital society. The platform offers successful and useful technologies for launching new projects and developing the crypto market; I continue to regularly invest money in the purchase of ETH.

We all here have different views though and also, this thread was made 2017 so he/she must have doubts with Vitalik at that time. But now, Ethereum is very well known and established and if ever Vitalik does something wrong then a lot of people will chase after him and may sue and bring him to jail. And I don't think Vitalik is ever going to do that.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future on: January 14, 2019, 04:21:11 PM
I believe that Waves will cost 15 dollars (its highest rate) again. The platform uses Smart contracts that increase the popularity of this cryptocurrency. If you choose Waves, hold it for a long time.

Waves with its smart contracts is one of the best platforms, but it will be difficult for the cryptocurrency to reach 15 dollars again. I guess, in 2019, the altcoin's highest price will be close to 6-7 dollars, and not more.

That's probably correct. I dont see any reason for waves to reach new heights. unless if the team is going to make a hardfork or an upgrade then peoples attention will be into it and a possible minor bull run. But it will be great for daily trading as the price goes up and down and fluctuates very often. I hold some tokens under waves so hoping not to go below $1 USD.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid being disturbed on: January 14, 2019, 02:55:58 PM
I have seen a lot of people get disturbed whenever they see dumpers dumping the coins they have at unreasonable prices. To my amazement also, some people might dump a huge amount of token for just a penny, as if their whole life depend on it.

Whenever this happens, either as a bounty hunter or as an investor, i usually do not get bothered. Most times when a project is newly listed on exchange, i would avoid being in a rush to sell, but wait to see what would be the stable price, before the take off.

If the price goes very low due to dumping by dumpers, instead of grumbling or being disturbed, i will buy as many as i can and wait for the next pump.
Most times i had the opportunities like this, i was able to earn profits not less than x3 the price I bought from dumpers.

It works and you too can try it. I believe it will work for you.
Yes, indeed, this tactic is quite working, I myself often do there, but with such tactics you should separate those projects that will definitely take off and not fall to the bottom forever.

It actually depends on the token or coins that is being dumped. Sometimes, when it is at its low price, it is tempting to buy not knowing the price still continues to fall. It is better to focus investing your funds on real projects with progress and results. Choose a project where people need to use the token/coin rather  than just a token/coin for trading.
