I'm not sure about the Chinese dump though, I thought bitcoin and the rest of the crypto's suffered because of the ongoing war between BCH ABC and BCH SV. But I do believed that BAKKT might be a good catalyst for another bull run but we won't get another all-time-high, probably 2019 will bring more good news and the confidence back to the market again. Keep calm and Hold more your Bitcoin, I believe this decline is only a correction of Bitcoin to jump high to moon after BAKKT later. Interesting question, I know. For me personally the answer is no - I have not ever regretted having gotten into bitcoin, despite having spent hundreds and hundreds of hours researching the topic. It's always been an interesting ride.
But I have a friend who got scammed and he regrets having had anything to do with crypto in the first place. It's pretty sad but there's nothing I can do about it. I even offered giving him half of the amount he lost from my own crypto stash (mind you I am not rich) but he's so scared that he's not interested any longer...
for me i also dont regret gotten into bitcoin i earn and learn in bitcoin at the same time what i regret is not investing more before when the price is cheap but i know im not the only one For those who got it right the way in finding a Bitcoin then they will not regret getting to know Bitcoin, but for those who are going the wrong way, investing in HYIP sites, investment ponzi scheme, certainly they will regret getting to know Bitcoin. In a bear market, you can only make money if you do short-selling. And this is something that only the highly skilled traders can do. I have tried short-selling a few times and things didn't worked out for me back then.

there is only minimizing losses and staying stable with strong analysis. if we allocate capital for more than one coin then if there are coins that experience loss, then at least the other coins must be able to make a backup to close the hole, the most important is not a big profit but try to stay balanced and think to look for minimum profits 1% every day.
We need to be smart in order to make profit in trading, don't think that you will not loss because it's not realistic and having that kind of mind is a hindrance to your success. It's alright to loss, that is why you need to manage your funds effectively and aim that in the long run, you'll have more profit than losses. Losses in trading will definitely occur, we are all ever felt it.
