Ok downloaded the wallet. Where is the torrent section on the wallet?
All i see is : overview, send, receive, transactions, address book, chat, block explorer, and bittrex.
Wallet would only sync by adding nodes manually, trust me that sucked. So any help getting started using the torrent???(where is it?) would be great using the windows wallet.
Lol, that's what everyone is waiting for. Great....  Thank you for the quick response. I'm not a troll or causing any problems but i'm very dissapointed.... I thought there was a torrent working. Well since they started in 2014 and it's now 2017, and they have torrent written all over everything, I actually expected a working vtorrent. I was hoping to upload my stash of limetorrents on the vtorrent, but i guess not, i feel they should take off the torrent and just have V, cause that's really all there is. I'll remove the wallet for now, but will check back for a working vtorrent. Life goes on - Tupac Well that sucks... Everyone's hoping it'll come out in this next fork. (I don't think it will, to be honest) I'm 50/50. Not very long to find out either way. |

price predictions ? I think vtr can hit 50k this year.. maybe more! Now we just need to break 10k.. and secretly I believe this is the next polo coin  It will be a lot more than 50k if we go live, in fact I bet we would hit 50k on the first day of going live. I still maintain that this has the potential of being a top 10 coin. That depends on the devs, and if they would like to be rich? |

So... where are those screens from?
 My computer, where else? edit why does bitcoin-core 0.14.0 still get blocked by virus software? You would think they have that sorted by now. So it's not commented out from VTR's code. The devs haven't released any yet. What they seem to have running in the clients are sections where the client will launch a bridge that will run a fully functioning BitTorrent client. Do you think you could successfully merge VTR with a joystream fork? If the VTR devs fail? |

Some of this stuff looks rather simple, but I guess the issues are not with the front end, but various aspects on the back-end    The actual generation of the torrent files is the easy part as that functionality has been tested and working on BitTorrent for years now. Stopping fake seeders from earning revenues from your token and encrypting the various channels of communications is probably the harder part. Was this commented out from the code already released? |

Lol, we're up 25% ... I'd say we're doing pretty good considering 60% of alt coins seem to be up. I think a lot of attention is on dash and etherium since they're pumping right now. -pickle I'm expecting VTR to pump a little in the run up to the final fork, we won't get the uber mega pump that we all want until the devs deliver. Yo devs you wanna be rich? Time to produce the code!!!! |

Anyone know what is the problem with Trex? Other markets seem ok.
@dev contact Bittrex in case they need help. On some other coins, I've seen that the chain sometimes needs more people staking to kick it into action.

I thought livecoin.net because they have different fiat deposit options - most importantly EUR, which would allow people to send SEPA deposits. But last night I checked out what it takes to deposit EUR via SEPA and they really make it ridiculously difficult, they ask you for links to forum profiles and screen shots of trades on other exchanges etc. ( https://ctrlv.cz/shots/2017/03/03/El5X.png) So this is not really a viable option for people new to Britcoin and crypto in general, the reason I want an exchange that allows fiat deposits (GBP or EUR) is because when I tell people they need to buy Bitcoin to buy Britcoin it confuses them. I've been reaching out to different exchanges all week, we'll see what comes of it. Do you have any in mind?  Hmm, that does change things. Trex still a viable option? It will be interesting to see if they still have some Brit in their old wallet. |

As promised the big day is here and the new official website is up and running; Britcoin.comThere will be further development and new features added in the coming months, so any ideas on what you'd like to see would be much appreciated. Thanks to everyone who helped (too many to list) getting the domain and website online, it has taken awhile but I think it was worth it.. Time will tell All the best and go BRIT! So the general consensus among those on this forum at least is a wait and see approach. I get that, our Dev is pretty lackluster in the info department, but that doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing as long as there is progress being made.
I'm more than willing to just sit back and 'see what happens', but first, just a thing to consider. Most successful projects at some point get some holders together to try and spread the word about the project, what's happening with DASH right now is the perfect case in point. They have been hitting marketing real hard for a real long time. So, if someone in the future wants to try and organize some kind of communal fund in VTR to fund the different things we all know this project needs, I'll be there to pitch in my staking reward at minimum to help out.
Good idea, can you imagine if we used to the staking reward to buy targeted ads on the major torrent sites. BOOM! Potentially, we could get millions checking VTR out very quickly. I'd be willing to put forth my staking reward... though i doubt they'll amount to what others are staking. I'll put forward mine too. It should be done within the next 10 days in order to provide liquidity on the run up to the fork. Suggestion - create a decent sized banner and advertise on a talk show like The Crypto Show; Mad Bitcoins; or sponsor an episode of letstalkbitcoin; or something around torrentfreak. Interested to hear any other ideas. I think the majority of the target market should be torrent based sites, crypto sites too, but after all VTR will be a torrent network. Obviously Torrent freak would be our main target I'm up for spit balling some ideas, anyone else have some suggestions? Edit: i'm thinking when/if we go live, to market this. |

Decentralization is the future of torrents, the way it's going now, they will start locking you up for copyright infringement.
Hasn't this already been happening in Germany and some other places? Or just fines maybe I think your right, one or two Countries have locked up their citizens for copyright infringement already, if memory serves correct, I read something on torrent freak a while back, I can't be asked to go and look it up though. |
