Apologies for lack of updates. At the moment I'm just making sure that kobo survives this quiet time. Enquiries about blockchain are almost non-existent right now.
I'll start looking for other exchanges after the new year. I will speak to cryptopia and Empoex as you suggest. I'll also have words with a few others as well. CoinExchange is a good service. We've really been let down by Yobit. I don't think they're on a fork. I think they're not too interested in providing support. When I've attempted to engage with them, they've not been very interested. I've told them I'll pay them to get their wallet issues resolved but that hasn't even gotten a response from them.
Kobo will be 2 years old in February. We'll be a more established part of the crypto landscape. As slow as things may seem, KOBO is well known in Africa now, still gets publicity and is still in a good position for the future. The difference in here is that the crypto industry couldn't care less (which isn't a problem to me). That's fine, but I know that kobo holders want to see more happening and see rises in price and volume. I'm in this for the long term. I've spent my own money for the last 2 years to keep kobo up and running and syncing. We still have all our infrastructure.
I know there's more that can be done but there's seriously no point pushing a technology right now that people (to be truthful about it) are just not interested in at this moment in time. Everyone is fighting to push crypto services to the general public but the only advances are from the people offering services to the crypto industry itself.
I believe it will change in time. Progress will be gradual and we are still progressing.
Thanks for the update, hang in there mate, I still believe there is a future for national crypto currencies, we just need an event like the banks crashing again before the public look for an alternative to the status quo. The way Yobit conduct themselves is a disgrace, the sooner the crash and burn the better. Cryptopia have a good reputation,, I'd start there, you can pay to get added, it cost 2M of their own crypto coin called DOT coin, the current price is 30 sat, so 0.6 BTC to get listed. I'd be willing to chip in a little, I'm sure there are some other long term holders willing to do the same?

When VTR moon? Hard Fork 2: The Return of the Torrents Isn't that a porno?
|

That's just a site that streams over bittorrent as it is right now.
Can you tell me how they plan to use crypto currency as part of the project?
It also has a central web site, it's very vulnerable to take downs? can you tell me how they plan to solve this?
Leigh.

Stalled because 1 person who was buying has stopped pushing the price up. Everyone is probably waiting for the Hard Fork i guess.
There are plenty of people, even in this thread, that have all said the same thing: waiting to see torrent functionality. Even if it was a basic video showing the torrent tab, which is clearly visible in some of the dev images, the price would reflect the boost in confidence people have been waiting for. You can even see the BitTorrent tab in this iPad port demo: https://youtu.be/5fyK0z5APXIWhich makes me think that the BitTorrent code is in the current client - just not enabled to be used. Since when is there an iPad app? That's not out yet though right? That's months old, correct, it's not been released yet. Coins is right, if the devs did put out a video like they did for they ipad app, that showed the torrent functionality, it would give investors more confidence in the project, there are loads of people watching this project just waiting for the right time to enter.

Do the forums always die during the holidays? Yeah, everyone is stuffing their faces with turkey Only three days to go till the first fork, anyone else excited? Someone in the riot group suggested it might be delayed. I certainly hope not! I am excited! Tor integration, i2p integration, and some other goodies! Those will be pretty cool, don't forget group chat, I'm more interested when the devs said "more" features to come, just curious to see what they come up with. Can't see it being delayed, it should on or there about block 1.2m, Anyway not long to find out. The market on trex has pretty much stalled, no one buying or selling at the moment, I'm expecting that will change soon.

This just the beginning, once they can sensor copyright infringers, they will then proceed to use it on political speech, yes torrent sites are the very beginning, soon we'll all have an Internet ID just like china, they will then link our credit report to what we do online, so be careful what you say or you won't be able to get that mortgage or loan. I'm not bullshitting either. This is the goal of the elite. Merry Christmas.

Lol, must be someone on here:)

Dear all,
As of now, only vTorrent Core is open sourced, and the reason we need to keep our full client (2FA included) closed source is to prevent other dev to clone our work and claim it as their own (or falsely claim as their project being one of the first to implement those features).
When Bittorrent part of vTorrent is reveal in a few release from now, hopefully our project will then be wildly known in crypto-currency space and the decision to open sourced other part of our project will then be considered again.
Regards,
vTorrent
Bump BitTorrent to be revealed in a few releases. Whatever that means. That does sound like torrents are coming soon. Dump this shit!

Interesting, a 5BTC order at 2352 sat.
Not long left for cheap coins, only a week left to accumulate.

Lol, what the hell.
We're at block 1187584. Major new features at 1200000 and people are selling!? LOL

Second wallet on trex got no balls. The market will move up pretty quick in a week, just watch BTC moon, then it will be VTR's turn.

Okay, I understand that it is PoS but it is listed as hybrid PoW/PoS. Also, it seems there were working scrypt mining pools at one point as I read back in time in this thread. What am I missing?
There were several weeks of mining back at launch, then it switched to PoS.

Wallet zero @ 1,020,000 He's been scooping up all the coins between 3k and 4K for weeks. Just shy of 10% of the supply, when we finally get the big release, he'd be rolling in it
