I'm also trying not to be biased (although I hold a decent chunk of VTR) but I can safely say that the level of communication has been low, but I also think that is in some ways preferable to the ten thousand other pump and dump projects around which haven't done shit except for try and be "the future of cryptocurrency is here!"
This is an interesting project but we're still kinda in the dark how far along things are (which does fit in with previous comments make by the dev if anyone cares to go back several dozen pages).
Not sure what else I can really do as an end-user to support the project because I don't know how to code.
You should know that like 99% of the legit developers SUCKS @ marketing and communications. I am telling you this from my personal experience with 30+ coders. Those who are posting often in their threads (and in most cases are using sock puppet accounts) are 99% scammers. They may stay for a month, 6 months or a year, but they will definitely one day disappear. I would agree that VTR dev should do more about it, but from my experience, I have learned to accept such actions (i.e. - I find it normal). Maybe you should make some proposals, but actions always speaks louder than words. P.S. I don't want this to sound like advertising, but I am part of a cryptocurrency with a 12 people team from 10 different countries around the world. I am also something like a Project leader. Do you know that our members are currently forbidden to post in our thread, tweet or... whatever? That's because of a one simple truth - as of now, we have nothing to say. I don't really doubt that; as far as I'm concerned the dev hasn't really promised anything he hasn't delivered on so far, its just that development takes time. We're two years into this rollercoaster, and about 2 months away (if I recall correctly) from the expected PoSv2 stage. So let's see where it goes. We've held this long, what's a few more months to wait for torrents. |

Leigh, listen to what you are being told. 1) I created this coin. (the original thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=454054.0 was created using my previous account clackersmaracas) - send me a code by private message and I will paste it to prove I own that account and created the coin in 2014 (using coingen!). The website and social media have also been there since the start, of which I am the owner and operator. So stop spreading lies and deceit to people. 2) When a coin is created and you sell them on an exchange or privately each unit has a market price, given your investor is a multi-millionaire, surely he (or she) can afford to buy 50% of the Britcoin share for just a handful of BTC rather than just request to run himself off a private 10 million coins? Why don't we all just run off coins everytime someone says they have a few quid instead of buying from an exchange like everyone else did. Your problem is you were caught out, because some people are too ignorant to understand what was happening, you ask people to buy coins on an exchange but in the mean time you are printing off 10 million to an anonymous investor who could simply dump the coins and walk away with a nice quarter of a million quid at exchange investors loss. As a stakeholder owning 500,000 Britcoins which was 5% of the whole amount your team ignored my objection. Those 500,000 coins were available to purchase, but instead of allowing the market to operate freely in buy and sell, you were just going to print of 10 million coins for someone from the chain? As soon as you touch that chain you compromise the integrity of the coin and any values on the market, and with it goes any hope of a future, although your little scam would mean you would walk away with £250,000 or so, not bad. Yes, I will be going, and speaking, and using LEGO to demonstrate the blockchain. I'm still pushing Kobocoin to the world outside of the crypto industry. Over the last few months the interest in blockchain has really fallen off (I think the Ethereum/DAO/BitFinex incidents didn't help) but I still believe that KOBO as a currency has a place in the African mobile fintech arena. Another point is that Kobocoin is seen as green tech because we're PoS which is great. Evergreencoin has been pushing that they're green because they're X15 and PoS, well KOBO has been that since Feb 2015! Also, I've been hearing talk of a pump on certain slack channels, don't know if it's true, but this coin is extremely undervalued right now, it does deserve a price correction, time will tell. |

So... 4 days or so till the investor coins are minted. What then folks? When the investor has his coins, first thing i'm going to ask for is 3BTC to get us back on bittrex, Will and Mo have a roadmap to be released too. Good thing about having an investor is that if we need something then we can get it, no scrounging for funds. |
