461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This what the paypal CEO said years ago about Bitcoin on: December 27, 2020, 09:41:46 PM
The point is they was against btc.
Now they bought the btc

Lol

Did they buy anything though? Paxos is handling their btc and from what i understood Paypal isn't touching btc at all. Paypal merely acts as a fiat ramp. Someone please correct me if i am have misunderstood something.
462  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of 2018 BTC aftermath on: December 27, 2020, 09:20:59 PM
As we all enjoy the current btc uptrend, it is becoming a glorious moment watching btc moving up and up. it looks like a trade we all hope for. on daily base, BTC price keeps moving up without signs of dropping. personally, i think the funds are coming from XRP dumpers. also i am skeptical because markets always correct itself no matter what.
i think what happened in 2018 will still repeat it self. BTC might fall back to 20,000 but we never know when and how but for now, lets enjoy the sweet ride to 40,000

Difference with 2017-2018 is that we are not yet in parabolic phase yet so it's not yet comparable to 2018 imho. 2018 happening again would need another parabolic curve first. Retrace will happen but it most likely will happen way above 40k. BTC might as well hit $320k before next bear cycle happens. And if the btc dominance plays similarly we should see insane altseason as well.

I just went into livechat to ask it and when they will list the BGF token, both subtokens will become one.

I had to go and ask about this too. Looks like you are correct. This will be interesting. Right now the swap seems confusing to me but i suppose that it won't be as confusing to newcomers as 2 different tokens.

Maybe they will merge both subtokens in a later step.. I thought I read in their roadmap that they will unify both BFG tokens.

That wasn't in the roadmap. I am going to search their telegram chat if they have hinted something like this. But i haven't seen anything even close to this plan.

You could also use them for the auctions, but these last couple of days it is very difficult to reach the top 10. Sometimes you need to auction 20-30 BFG (TRX) subtokens to win 1-2 TRX.

But is that really worth it? 1 trx is currently worth around $0.03. Doesn't seem like worth the time it takes to bid the auction.

Getting more BFG(BTC) tokens was a good idea now that btc is rising ATH. But i feel like i shouldn't even gamble trx if they don't have something interesting planned on those  subtokens. Maybe i should gamble all of my BFG(TRX)... High risk high reward and all that.

Divends decrease day to day....good job Grin

 Sad

Dividends decrease when the amount of circulating tokens increase, this should be obvious to everyone. But i am willing to bet that people aren't playing too much during christmas holidays either. As they have other things to attend to.

Is there a link or a reference how much you will earn BFG tokens (in BTC or in TRX) when you spend a certain amount of BTC or TRX? Just wondering how many tokens you will get for example if you spend 50k satoshis? I know this will automatically be seen in your account once you play but just to get rough estimate here. Thanks.

This was answered few pages ago -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5276159.msg55852981#msg55852981

The cost of mining rises with every 100 000 000 coins mined, next step should be any moment now and we have already mined almost 50% of the total supply. It's still worth it to mine imho. And considering the burned tokens, it most likely will be worth it to the end.

Find out about hybridblock and Adax, he was not involved in the project but he later acquired the project.

Ok, thanks... I looked into it, and i am doing all i can not to sound like a fudster but Hybridblock seems like a dead project to me, their last medium post was from year ago. I tried to find their telegram channel but all i find was a channel dedicated pursuing legal action against them, it had 500 members.

I had of search info about Adax, their last medium post was from february, I am starting to see a pattern here. I didn't get their website to work (i wish i was kidding), it kept glitching and throwing me back into main screen, so this does not inspire confidence in XCARD.

◆However, the proposal only applies to Ethereum in its current form, which is itself undergoing a shift.

...

Obviously it can't apply to future form as future form isn't ready yet. But sentences like these confuse me. Are they going to adjust to development of eth, and why shouldn't they? What ever is the case, any kind of deflationary system for eth is more then welcome.

Wojciech has track record in crypto although not an outstanding one because it was more like I take over from existing business. He made his money elsewhere and found crypto very lucrative at the moment. Have followed Xcard from the onset, over 2 years and I hope they could deliver on their promises to prove doubter wrong. Some of this project are trying to get the timing right to enjoy the hype of the bull market and get enough fund to push the project through the bull market.

I don't know anything about the history of the CEO, i only followed Xcard and i thought that this was his first project. Are there some other projects from him i should look into? Or something else he has contributed to crypto space?
472  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! 🔮 on: December 21, 2020, 08:42:36 PM
as you can see on your pic . success is when one side has a higher vote . its impossible to have a not clear result because this is betting . they must need to declare a winner at the end.

So it's based on users voting the right answer? That could work if the users are informed enough. Do the isers have some sort of incentive for their votes or why do they want to participate if they didn't bet on that specific bet? And couldn't the result just be manipulated by majority of voters?
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the top 5 ALTS you held in 2020 on: December 21, 2020, 05:25:54 PM
So many has mentioned Ethereum just because "it is so damn popular" and "due to Ethereum 2.0".
Ethereum is already released partly and still dont work in full swing. Many expected that with its release transaction fee would be lower, but they are on the same level. With each update people predict Ethereum price to go up, but it barely changes.
Dont you think we are overreacting to much or expecting to much from this grandpa?

Was the transaction fee supposed to go down with the beacon chain? I thought that it was just ground work and staking. And the speed comes later on with shard chains. Someone please correct me if i am completely wrong as i am not so tech-savvy.

WHAT HAPPENED TO XCARD
Mobilum is the entity behind XCARD and XCARD will be a product of Mobilum with the XCARD Wallet to be released within the next fortnight following by issuance of XCARD credit and debit cards in 2021.
The current marketplace is one in need of products and services that can bring actual usage to their demographics as opposed to ideas only. Therefore, we took a step back and analysed our position and offering, finally deciding to restructure under Mobilum and bring all our offerings under one name.

WHAT’S TO COME
Mobilum is starting implementation of the widget in a small group of projects and exchanges to begin with. The focus at the moment is on raising funds for Mobilum through the sale of our native MBM tokens and private funding through sale of equity in Mobilum.
This will allow Mobilum to fast track their development and bring the offering to users across the globe with a planned 173 supported currencies in our widget to be implemented by Q2 2021 and the roll out of both credit and debit cards.

Seriously? I've taken a look at this since i am interested on any debit card solutions. But their telegram is dead, and from what i gather looks like they didn't pay even for bounty hunters either. So why sould investors trust them to deliver either?
475  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I introduced cryptocurrency to my friends by using DOGECOIN on: December 20, 2020, 07:35:18 PM
I think this is a good idea! Learning by sending bitcoin around could end up being more expensive. And people learn by playing around and not taking things too seriously. Being constantly afraid that they mess up every transaction. Basics are same anyway and there's a high change that they see the value in this pretty quickly.
476  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔮 Futuur - Predict the Future! 🔮 on: December 20, 2020, 07:16:47 PM
Betting in science got my interest peaked. But what will you use as a source for results? Because some of these seem pretty vague and would be matter of definition or opinion.

Like this:

What would be considered as a success? Any kind of response? What will happen if the result is unclear?
477  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the top 5 ALTS you held in 2020 on: December 20, 2020, 07:10:08 PM
Here's my top 5

1. ETH (as it fuels most of the second layer tokens and i love their plans for eth 2.0)
2. Polkadot ( Really ambitious project, and it doesn't surprise me it's so high on the marketcap. Changes are that it's going to be way higher later on)
3. I am holding collectables from various NFT projects, even though they lack liquidity like most coins they could end up being very expensive if i get lucky.
4. Collecting more and more BFG tokens. I think that their tokenomics look good and i love the passive income.
5. Dusk (non-custodial trading of compliant digital securities, and this is the only coin that has a change of doing this. Other coins trying this lacks the first layer privacy).

But this way I have already collected 14 tickets for the Christmas lottery... Cool From 253625

I only have 3 tickets because i stopped mining soon after that lottery came to be a thing. Now i am thinking that i might have stopped too early. Should i risk it and start again just for the christmas lottery? I don't really trust my luck but i would also get more bfg tokens so it might be worth it.

I need to start stop gambling away all my BFG token so i can start earning  Grin

Oh man, that should be rule nr one: Don't risk your bfg. Technically i am happy if someone gambles them, because if they lose, their bfg gets burned out from the circulation. But still it kinda hurts inside just out of empathy when someone loses them.
480  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 📢 AVA - From the Creator of the 1st PoW Coin 📢 on: December 18, 2020, 06:26:20 AM
Yesterday was big token unlock for Avalanche. 50kk tokens. So the Circulating Supply was like tripled. It's huge numbers. Now you can see AVAX in the top70 of CMC. But the most interesting thing - is that price didn't dumped much. The lowest price yesterday was 2.78$ and then pretty fast in returned on 3.3-3.4$. I think it shows the power of AVAX and that it really stable now.

AVA, unlike other defi platforms, has real developments going on. So it is no surprise if they can pull back fast. Among other defi platforms, this is one of the few that has active development and you are seeing that they are producing results. While most defis are in their beta stage, this one is moving with their targets. And if you look at the comparison table on their site, AVA may really compete with ETH in the near future.

By "for Avalanche" you mean the team?. That would actually explain why the price stayed the same. If they would have airdropped these for normal holders there would be nothing that stopped them for dumping them in the markets. I guess this could set some sell pressure too.
