BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ?

ofc it is, but no only better than western union, is better than everything Tongue

well the truth is that bitcoin still need some improvements, like the speed ( yes bitcoin users should wait only seconds to made his payments ) but even with all those required improvements is better than all known Smiley

NUEVO MONEDERO (v1.2.3.1)
Sitio oficial, Sourceforge, Github lanzamiento, Windows, Mac OS X, Linux

All my miners suddenly stopped hashing at about the same time. There was no power failure, power surge, or Internet problem.
Any input will be appreciated.

sometimes there is microcuts on the internet connection that are hard to detect and can cause that software crash and/or stop.

dunno if this is your case, but is not the first time that i suffer something like that, thats why im saying it.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: good movie on how a bitcoin ATM should be on: October 19, 2015, 05:47:57 PM

ty for the link!

Ok, he tells about how a Bitcoin ATM should work in his opinion. It shouldn't be a 15 seconds experience, he says, it should be like 2 hours of explanation documentary about Bitcoin and where and how you can spend it.

i have no doubt that what he said is exactly how bitcoin will be in the near future, everybody know it, i mean that there is few things that need to be changed like the "15 seconds experience". bitcoin just need more time i think to improve all those things.
469  Other / Meta / Re: Fake Quotes on: October 19, 2015, 01:40:24 PM
why not? they can always click the link on the quote to find the real quoted post.

having this in mind, how is possible to have a fake quote? well ofc people can be confused while they didn't check if the quote link is wrong, but after someone check it, there is not a possible confusion.

btw, if i find something like that that only want to hurt, i will press the report button faster than the speed of light Wink, this is what everybody should do.

I will add this list later. Have little problem with my laptop atm. Wifi is not working ok. Hope to fix it soon so I can join the irc also again.

472  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nice News about Bitcoin Addoption on: October 19, 2015, 01:17:58 PM
CoinPayments.net already offers plugins for WordPress sites and other types of checkouts, and they accept Bitcoin as well as altcoins for 0.5%.

So unless you need OpenCart, it looks like CoinPayments.net is cheaper.

yep, for me the good news is not about that they are doing it, i mean bitcoinpay, since as you already said this is not "new", the good news is about that there is everyday more and more companies who start thinking about it, and this made me feel a positive feeling about the adoption of the bitcoin.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XMG] Coin Magi | CPU mining | PoS-II | PoM | Unique BLK reward | [MagiPay] on: October 18, 2015, 01:06:10 PM

not bad, but if we can find more translators for more languages then it will be perfect Wink

you know, all help are welcome, let's hope that people watching this thread and come from other languages encourage to do it too Wink
474  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MMM Global Republic of BTC - Sergei Mavrodi ponzi scheme! Stay away on: October 18, 2015, 12:59:06 PM
Meh, just by looking at the promises of this MMM, I certainly know that is an obvious.scam. I just wonder why people keep sending them money though the promises seem too fishy and too good to be true. And no, this is not the reason why bitcoin had a price increase.

When the potential return is high, people lose their minds.

yes, but this come from the needed of people, when people didn't find a solution for his serious problems they start to do whatever is needed.

sad but true, so in the end they start to do crazy things.

Hope the recent price rise is not caused by MMM. Grin

maybe halving is comming Wink
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When you watch this, you will know if you were a very early adopter... on: October 18, 2015, 12:56:31 PM
Andreas is single-handedly doing more for the Bitcoin community than the Bitcoin foundation itself.

ofc, when did you see that the bitcoin foundation had been doing something cool trying to bring more users to the scene?, i totally agre with you.

guys like Andreas is exactly what bitcoin needs if we want to spread the word.

Andreas is the best bitcoin promoter.

maybe not the best, but one of the best for sure, at least from what i'm seeing in the last months.
476  Economy / Economics / Re: Winklevoss Exchange Gemini Struggling to Win Bitcoin Traders on: October 17, 2015, 10:55:37 AM
Looks like volume is increasing if you check the volume peaks. May be releated to the rising btc price and arbitrage opportunities though.

I still think any new exchange needs time to build a solid trading user base.

yep volume is increasing pretty well, and dont forget they are not "opened" for all Wink so for me they have had a good start. lets give them few months to consolidate a little bit more and we will see if they are as good as expected ( or at least that i expected )
477  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Best miner hardware in case of Free electricity on: October 17, 2015, 10:52:45 AM
remeber that all those s3 need also a bigger place, and they can be quite uncomfortable to have

and anyway the initial investment matter until a certain point, because you can always resell it, and i'm sure the s7 has a better reselling value

yep, i was thinking exactly the same, also dont forget that you must "secure" the future, i man maybe now the S3 seems to be a pretty good alternative, but i really think that S7 is a better invest now, i mean that maybe buy some S7 is a little bit expensive now but it worth.
478  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-10-17] bitcoin.com: Gemini’s Volume Moving up but not Pushing BitcoinPrice on: October 17, 2015, 10:42:20 AM
Of course it's not pushing the price. How can some one seriously expect that from an exchange that has just started and only serve US custommers at this point. I know the Winklevoss twins were very loud with everything related to their exchange, but it needs time. Give it at least a few months to settle and then start publishing these kind of articles.

i must agree with you 100%, people are so excited sometimes, that exchange just need time, and you have described it very well, let them expand their exchange ( that from my point of view is awesome... ) and we will see in few months how big are them then.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XMG] Coin Magi | CPU mining | PoS-II | PoM | Unique BLK reward | [MagiPay] on: October 17, 2015, 10:26:31 AM
As mentioned by fragilefungi, a convenient miner (ideally click & go mining) is a much need, and I believe that will get us more miners without painful compiling (notice if you compile from the source code, you might get a specific optimized miner only for your pc which might be efficient than the following compiled ones). Also, I compiled the miner with "-e" flag to adjust the CPU efficiency from inside the miner.

https://github.com/magi-project/m-cpuminer-qt
https://github.com/magi-project/m-cpuminer-v2

I have forked the code of ScryptMiner by Matoking (https://github.com/Matoking/ScryptMiner-GUI), which is based on Qt. This is very advantageous; we can add codes later on to adapt to the special block reward of magi, and design a smart miner with strategy mining. This will be a one in the to-do list. Here are the compiled binaries:

http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-cpuminer-qt-64-win.zip
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-cpuminer-qt-32-win.zip
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-cpuminer-qt-64-ubuntu.tar.gz
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-cpuminer-qt-macosx-10.7.dmg

There are also minerd available here: http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer:

http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-minerd-64-win.zip
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-minerd-32-win.zip
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-minerd-64-ubuntu.tar.gz
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-minerd-64-macosx.zip

These are how the Qt miner looks like:

Notice "-e 60" in block "Additional parameters" in the above image adjusts the CPU mining usage, e.g., 60%. All the parameters are automatically saved into m-cpuminer.conf, in the same folder. The GUI basically makes use of the miner under folder "miner". If you can compile with a higher efficiency, please let me know. Please make sure you modify the pool parameters, or you will mine through my account.

This GUI is kinda similar to NeedIfFindIt's Sweet Spot http://xmg.makejar.com/, which will be better than this I believe; the advantage is that we can make it available for mac os and linux too, and most of other platforms because of Qt base. The linux version is statically linked, if you run into issues, let me know. I very much like the miner being compiled in low end/old system/pc. I believe magi's mining is useful in this aspect. I will get some details for the PoW. I do agree one mining a coin cares about the return, while I like the idea you place the miner with limited CPU usage, you can forget it (say 10% CPU): think about how many computers which run idle in the offices or other places for overnight, at least it's a waste of power. I am not encouraging you use an office PC for mining, but running a limited miner in a daily computer is quite doable, and that, from another point of view, is to save energy as they maintain a coin system provided that magi is useful at some extent and this purpose will be meaningful as well.

Some post worthwhile should be translated always into more languages, spanish translation thread have this one now Wink HERE

ofc i will update other spanish threads at other forums too Smiley
480  Local / Altcoins (criptomonedas alternativas) / Re: [ANN] [XMG] Magi | 1ª POS-II | PoW| Tor | M7M-v2| on: October 17, 2015, 10:24:06 AM

https://github.com/magi-project/m-cpuminer-qt
https://github.com/magi-project/m-cpuminer-v2

http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-cpuminer-qt-64-win.zip
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-cpuminer-qt-32-win.zip
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-cpuminer-qt-64-ubuntu.tar.gz
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-cpuminer-qt-macosx-10.7.dmg

Podeis descargaros el minero MINERD desde aquí: http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer:

http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-minerd-64-win.zip
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-minerd-32-win.zip
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-minerd-64-ubuntu.tar.gz
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-cpuminer/m-minerd-64-macosx.zip
