more ICO dirt info
18,733,855 ETH where purchased with 200k ETH or bigger chunks (including the 3 highest with one million each) ~~72 buys
21,035,775 ETH where purchased with 20k ETH or bigger chunks, roughly 300 buys (not individuals)
16,648,309 ETH where purchased with 2k ETH or bigger chunks, roughly 2365 buys (not individuals)
3,606,132 ETH where purchased with 0.2k ETH or bigger chunks, roughly 5120 buys (not individuals)
78,145 ETH less than 200 ETH lots, roughly 1150 buys (not individuals)

Top 100 addresses (not people) own 40% of ETH's

At the end of the day all meaningless as only the central headquarter knowns how many times a person clicked the buy button for any given amount of ETH crap

bump

Why is the algo and base money and reward and other basic info not posted anywhere?
srsly?  OP 101 stuff and I can't find it ... best info I got so far is it is a POW maybe going to stake ... How 2 mine ETH?

Thats part of the point. It is a intentional clusterfuck from the very beginning. Ethereum wants to be the AOL of crypto.
The block reward is static (fixed) and equal to 5 Ether forever. 7200 blocks per day x5 Ether-per-block. = 36,000 ETH/day
EtHash is the  algorithm for Ethereum it derives (hybrid) from Dagger-Hashimoto, is memory hard, you'll need at least 1+GB of RAM on each GPU and best run on Linux. You also need "ethminer" to mine.

The bottom line is Ethereum is inherently flawed, there is nowhere near the innovation it was hoped for so strategy changed to application platform. Other coins are way more innovative. "fuel" " is worthless, efficiency seriously sucks.
Paycoin 2 in the making  pow->pos->dump the load.

Whats up with the pyramid logo?

https://i.imgur.com/LqvWFHD.png

As it is not a cryptocurrency coin (by own admission) why is it listed on Coinmarketcap?
Will Coinmarketcap soon list ever software company?
Why does it not have the Premined stars (**) on Coinmarketcap?
Why does Stephan Tual (aka Stoat) Admin, CCO of centralized Ethereum GMBH troll Bitcointalk?
Why lasted the 2000 ETH ICO for 14 days (2x7)?
Why did the presale last for 42 days (6x7) to 2nd of Sep. not 40 days (end of Aug. or 50 days, or a month......)?
Why did it linear decline for 28 days (4x7) from 2000 to 1337 ETH?
What is the significance of 1337 ETH (last ico price) other than 1+3+3+7= 14?
Why no giu wallet so only about 10% of available coins can be traded?
Why is there unlimited ETH supply?

..........
Fact is ETH can't do anything else other coins (like NxT, Qora....) already can do for a long time.
465  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: August 20, 2015, 03:11:33 PM
how many ETH will be on the market?
at the end of mining?
No hard cap, fixed 13 million supply per year for ever. (same as dogecoin)
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum already going to the ground? on: August 16, 2015, 09:24:26 AM
presale: 0.5 bitcoin = 1000 eth
now: 6 bitcoin =1000 eth

I like the ground.

That's very good profit for 1.5 years. Sell now and take the profit before whales dump all their ethers.
Dont think the whales will dump large chunks at once, they want to get as much $$$ out of it as possible.
The idea is to milk the cow as long as she gives good amount of milk once that stops take it to the place ever $cow ends up at.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Speculation on: August 13, 2015, 02:03:46 PM
Everyone on this thread is wrong.
I can't believe that ETH is over 0.005 now.
It is the most manipulated crypto in history because a massive junk of ICO was one single group. pump and dump on steroids.
468  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If not Bitcoin , then what ? on: August 12, 2015, 05:45:50 PM

i don't think that Ethereum have a chance either, on the last hour according to marketcap it was like 65 million USD now it became 75$ million USB , alot of pumping going on and im more then sure it's nothing but regular manipulation that rich people do all the time with different coins .

In the words of Rolling Stone's Matt Taibbi; “the first thing you need to know about Goldman Sachs is that it is everywhere. The world’s most powerful investment bank is a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money.”

edit, yes eth is being pumped for the dump

Frame it
469  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: seen this shit ETH took over poloniex XMR is nothing but a second class shitcoin on: August 12, 2015, 05:12:29 PM
I think the protocol is very interesting, to be sure. If it develops the way it should/hoped it'll be very special.

I just want to know though - because no matter how much I read about it I'm still not sure - what is the total amount of Ether there will be?

Is there a hard written quantity in the code that is irreversible? As far as I can make out, that's not the case and no promises have been made not to increase the Ether supply. Is that correct?

I understand that each time Ether is used it's burned, is that also correct?

Thanks in advance

Ether is not burned. It is fungible like Bitcoin.when you spend ETH in. A smart contract the contract transfers the ETH according to its code.  I guess you could write a smart contract that would burn ETH.

I think total coin supply is 90 million currently 60 million.
Stop thinking, horses are better suited for it, as bigger head.
ETH, no hard cap, unlimited 13mil yearly supply,  Dogecoin 2.0
470  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bend over for Goldmansachs coin on: August 12, 2015, 04:43:33 PM
Where does this even come from?  Is there any proof, or even reasonable speculation that it is backed by GS?  Because I seriously doubt they would play in small potatoes alt coin markets.  I think if they wanted in they would just manipulate the crap out of btc prices, and maybe ltc prices.

Let me explain what a revolving door is and how it works.

A revolving door is when a goldmansachs employee leaves the company and goes into a government position , regulator position, or another industry and brings their connections with. This (cough)"former employee" then goes on to make policies/regulation/industry moves more favorable to goldmansachs.
Then the (cough)"former employee" returns to goldmansachs, work done... slap on the back, hookers, blow, blah blah blah

But don't take my word for it.

here is one about ethereum and goldmansachs

Thanks for it. That things are very fishy is obvious from the very beginning. Everything is fake. Kraken has skeleton staff a struggling exchange how would they have signed up and verified so many new users in such a short time, same for Poleniex.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who wants to fork ethereum? on: August 12, 2015, 03:31:52 PM
Christmas coming early.

Instead of using a different mining reward why not use the same.
Electively the same chain but cut out the ICO crap. So 60 (70) million less supply to start with.
More or less taking over the coin.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PSA: Keep calm and buy ETH on: August 12, 2015, 02:12:24 PM
Another ETH paid shill using a crappy throw away account. Tell your masters they do no good to their project by doing this and this is not the way to pump the price to offload their 17% premine  Wink Hurry up and scam the gullible/retarded and go back to the shadows.

He bought a ton of ETH shit and now he is drying to pump it up so he dump the premined shitcoin to the poor suckers.
Your pile of dirt will flush down the shithole like all other crap beforehand.

Yep, Ethereum is in monster bubble territory.
There are interesting coins in china which are seriously undervalued. For example VPNCoin:

As it isn't a cryptocurrency (coin) it should not be on coinmarketcap technically.

Ethereum trading is open for a few days now. Why did you buy or sell? It will be interesting to see what motivations people have for trading.

Please only comment if you actually made a trade and put money where your mouth is. We don't need further loose predictions from non-stakeholders here.
Did you buy the account, or is it hacked?

What are you talking about? Do you suspect that this thread is a scam?
Very active until April 22, 2014, 08:53:47 PM then nothing until this post.
479  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kraken BTC Exchange: Farewell New York on: August 09, 2015, 04:59:11 PM
New York's BitLicense to Bitcoin is what England's red flag act was to automobiles.
What NY is doing is self harming behaviour. But when they finally realize it it will be too late.

In the United States, the state of Vermont passed a similar flurry of Red Flag Laws in 1894. The most infamous of the Red Flag Laws was enacted in Pennsylvania circa 1896, when legislators unanimously passed a bill through both houses of the state legislature, which would require all motorists piloting their "horseless carriages", upon chance encounters with cattle or livestock to (1) immediately stop the vehicle, (2) "immediately and as rapidly as possible... disassemble the automobile," and (3) "conceal the various components out of sight, behind nearby bushes" until equestrian or livestock is sufficiently pacified.[1] The bill did not become law, as Pennsylvania's governor used an executive veto.
