461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think women will make better gamblers by their nature? on: January 12, 2024, 07:02:35 AM
Women by nature are more conservative than men. They are better manager of resources and know how to prioritise things. This is what is needed for successful gambling because with it, the chances of using funds meant for basic needs in gambling will be minimised.

So do you think women will make better gamblers than men?

What type of gambling are you talking about? Traditional casino games? Sports betting?
I think that female gamblers are as good/bad as male gamblers. Men love risk(probably because of the testosterone), while women mostly hate risk(even though there are some exceptions here and there). I've never seen a woman, who is a very good gambler. Gambling isn't about being conservative or aggressive. Gambling is about knowing when to risk more and when to risk less(or quit the game). Good risk management is more about finding a balance between aggressive betting and conservative betting.
Where did you came up with the idea, that women are better at managing resources? Some women might be good at this, while others might be bad. Generalizations based on gender seem very stupid to me.

* Is gambling really to be blamed about the laundry drug addict guy who engaged in gambling in order to gain more money and afford his drugs?
Because to me, he has been a drug addict before began to gamble and he strictly gambled consciencelessly just to make profit and buy himself this assorted unhealthy pills (drugs). So, I don't see anyway of gambling being responsible for his irresponsible reputations with his mentality of what triggered him to gambling and his inabilities to control his gambling.

* Was the political social influencer right to say getting to an end of online sport bets in the app stores and the moderating of gambling would regain back the devalued currency and attracts a growing economy back to the nation a right acceptable and good research?
As much as I know, individual indulgences has no stake of influences to affect the national economy at where the government folds its hands of governance While counting national welfareness reliably of the vulnerable individuals. Although, getting to an end of online sport bets from the app stores would contribute to manage the number of psychological gambling addictive effects in the country.

* Is gambling really to be blamed in ruining lifes?
Even though the online casino gambling as influences on the massive audience, I don't think it has been in any strategic or physically enforced a compulsory venture to anyone that he must gamble.
I don't see gambling walking to the players instead the players walks to the gambles so, directly and indirectly gambling has an influence but has not path to be blamed over individuals irrepressible living on their caused of gambling.

1.Yes and No. You can blame the cause of your addiction, but the main cause and problem is your lack of self-control.

2.The idea that banning gambling would force the gamblers to spend more money buying goods and services(and boosting the economy) seems reasonable and stupid at the same time. Banning gambling would only force most of the gamblers to play online via using a VPN and to visit illegal offline casinos, that are hidden in secret places.

3.The blame can be shared between the gambling industry and the gamblers. Let's not pretend that the gambling industry is completely innocent, and on the other hand, let's not pretend that the gamblers are a bunch of gullible and ignorant people, who got manipulated and forced to gamble by the casinos.

Wow so do you teach that things ? Im interested your analysis

If guys like you would know then market would't work.
when everybody knows then nobody cant earn money.
Im full financial person i mean Im hardcore trader i do this for living and Im on it 10000000% that's why i know it.

Why do I have the feeling that Parklane777 and Fullbear2222 are one guy using two accounts? This seems suspicious.
Gold having a 35-40% price correction? Everybody knows that Gold is a safe heaven asset and it's price is going up in times of recession and uncertainty. Why do you think that the demand for gold is going to drop severely in the next year or two?
Crude oil having a bull run? This might happen only if the global crude oil market gets disrupted by a big war in the Middle East. Otherwise no country in the world wants an oil price above 100 USD. Not even Saudi Arabia.
464  Economy / Gambling / Re: From $17 to $37000!!! Craziest Crypto Win in 2023!!!! on: January 11, 2024, 07:51:04 AM
A piece of paper proves everything. Grin All the transaction IDs are conveniently hidden. Grin
This guy won all these profits back in May 2023, but this forum thread is posted now(more than half a year later). This seems kinda suspicious. Why there were no news about this guy back in May 2023?
Why does he have to mention Trustdice? This seems like a sneaky form of marketing coming from Trustdice. I have nothing against new and innovative ways to bring more customers to your casino, but such posts are insulting the intelligence of many gamblers.
It's totally possible for a guy to achieve big wins via gambling, but I can't see any clear evidence, which proves that he actually won 37K USD.

I'm one of those people, who think that a 500K Bitcoin price(or above) is impossible. If such price happens, that would be the biggest "tulip mania" financial bubble in the history of human civilization. Who the hell is going to invest trillions of dollars into buying a financial asset, that has slow transactions and high transaction fees? What's the biggest utility of Bitcoin? Buying at 40K so you could sell at 80K?
I think that a price between 70K and 100K is achievable in a short time frame, there's no way for such price to be sustained for more than 1 or 2 months.
466  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the world soon become tired of the US dollar? on: January 10, 2024, 11:13:22 AM
Just like that, BRICS now controls almost 28% of a global economy that's worth  over $28.5 Trillion.
The economy keeps getting worse and the hike both as concerns interest rates and crypto transaction fees has increased and keeps doing so yearly.

Recently, we see countries like Saudi Arabia,  the UAE that has been making waves with several investments that may include multimillion dollar soccer stars signings, building the tallest building in the world, development of tourism and attractions that bewildered the mind. Also, Iran,  Egypt and Ethiopia has officially joined BRICS and although Argentina rejected the invitation, one question is this,

Are we seeing a time where BRICS currency and cryptocurrencies are the answer to a world tired of the us dollar?

https://watcher.guru/news/brics-welcome-2024-by-officially-adding-5-expansion-nations

I wouldn't consider multimillion dollar soccer star transfers an "investment". The rich countries in the Persian gulf are trying to build a tourist industry, but who is going to visit those destinations? Mostly Americans and Europeans, who are paying with dollars and euro.
It's normal for the US dollar to be facing a global decline in transactions. The world is moving towards a financial system, that won't be dominated by one or two currencies. National currency settlements might be replacing the US dollar. The BRCIS currency is still a concept.
I don't believe that cryptocurrencies will be mass adopted as a payment method in international import/export transactions.
467  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 10, 2024, 07:24:50 AM
Your friend is clearly delusional(or simply dumb). Maybe he's an actual gambling addict.
This type of mentality "I should gamble every day because it increases my chances of winning" is the typical gambling addict's mentality.
In reality, it's quite the opposite. The more often a gambler spends money, the bigger the chance for him to lose everything. The casino always wins in the long term. In the short term, a gambler has a chance of winning a decent amount and quitting before it's too late.
He can't quit and take the profits, if he has this "I must gamble every day" mentality.
468  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you actually think a Bitcoin ETF will be accepted this month? on: January 10, 2024, 07:00:15 AM
I think that the SEC decision is going to be postponed for God knows when. Maybe February or maybe several months.
I wouldn't view it as a tragedy if the Bitcoin spot ETF gets denied. It was a nice bull run from 27K to 45K, caused by all the hype around the BlackRock Bitcoin Spot ETF. The price will crash back to 30K or 20K and we shall keep waiting for the post-BTC halving bull run.
I guess that some crypto friendly hacker got access to the SEC X account. Hackers are on our side. This is a clear sign that we will win the battle against the government. Grin
469  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Neo-colonialism: Is Nigeria Still Under British Rule? on: January 09, 2024, 11:23:47 AM
I'm not from Nigeria, but this topic is very interesting to me.
So what solution are you suggesting to solve this "neo-colonial" problem? Nationalization of the Nigerian oil industry? AFAIK, Nigeria exports most of it's oil and natural resources to the western countries. I'm sure that those countries won't be happy, if the western companies get kicked out of Nigeria. You say that Nigeria exports natural resources and imports industrial products. Why Nigeria can't go thru the process of industrialization in order to produce it's own industrial products? Is anyone stopping Nigeria to do such thing? The corrupt politicians? The western corporations? The lack of educated workforce and enough capital to be invested in the industry?
Whining about the problem won't solve it. I want to discuss the possible solutions.

He proceeded by going to gaming commission and had his name banned by himself, ( Someone please tell me how this is possible?) never seen such in my country before. he claimed he still go back to casinos at times and he knew he can't ever win big again, because his name was flagged in the system, and if he win big they won't pay him

This seems like a great idea to fight gambling addiction. Having a list of gamblers, who voluntarily decided to exclude themselves from winning any money out of playing offline casinos seems like a way to deal with the problem. My country doesn't have such rule of self-exlusion when it comes to offline gambling. The casino owners definitely won't be against imposing such rule, because they won't be losing any money.
Why would you call this guy a fool? He suffered from gambling addiction and he found a way to remove any joy and satisfaction, which he gets out of gambling. He took actions to fight his addiction. He's a hero.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Effortlessly promoting Bitcoin, raising the curiosity of none bitcoin ethusiast on: January 09, 2024, 06:58:26 AM

In conclusion
The promotion of Bitcoin should be strongly encouraged among Bitcoin community individuals. This would certainly help Bitcoin get to the grass root, both in rural and urban regions. These are clearly my opinion.
What do you guys think about Bitcoin promotion and other ways we can promote Bitcoin in our community?

I don't agree that the promotion of Bitcoin should be encouraged. Bitcoin has become very popular on a global scale.
Do you really believe that getting a few people into buying BTC can change anything? The BTC price won't get pumped, just because you convinced several newbies into buying BTC. Grin Do you expect someone to give you a medal for your service? Grin
There's no point promoting Bitcoin, unless you get financial incentive(in the form of commission for every referral), but Bitcoin isn't a product or a company. Be careful about telling people that you own Bitcoins. Some people with bad intentions might get in touch with you.
472  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagine African countries using Bitcoin to pay salaries, on: January 08, 2024, 11:37:48 AM
I don't know if the government of any African country have adopted the system of paying salaries in Bitcoin, but I know here is Nigeria they haven't, it's possible to pay employees using Bitcoin or other crypto currencies ,
With the services of some crypto currency payroll agencies  like Bitwage, papaya global, ontop,  which will make it possible for the government to pay their workers in Bitcoin or other crypto currencies and can be sent  into their digital wallet,
Since it has to do with the government another agency can be set up in the country in respect to paying salaries as Bitcoin which will somehow help in the growth of the economy of the country.

The government paying salaries to whom? The government officials or the employees in the private sector?
1.The government can't pay salaries to the employees in the private sector, because they are in the private sector. Grin It's obvious.
2.No government in the world would agree to pay the salaries of the government officials by using BTC. I don't count some small counties, which have weird presidents like El Salvador.
3.If the business owners(in Africa or anywhere else) want to pay salaries in BTC, almost no government in the world can stop them.
The problem is that the employees have to convert the BTC to fiat, in order to pay for food, bills and taxes. This makes the whole process a little bit pointless.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most logical and profitable game on: January 08, 2024, 07:53:10 AM
I know that basically gambling is based on luck, but we can use tricks or strategies so that we don't spend a lot of money and can still win, even if it's only a small win.

In general, in my opinion, there are several categories of games in gambling such as house edge games, sportsbooks, slot machine games, live casino games, and lottery. In your opinion, which game do you think is the most logical to win? and what is the reason?

If there was a working strategy to achieve consistent profits out of gambling, all casinos, bookmakers and lotteries would simply go bankrupt.
So the answer is no. There's no logical way to achieve consistent wins. Even sports betting cannot provide consistent results, even when you are really good at analyzing the teams and their performance.
I know about a Romanian mathematician, who discovered a way to win the lottery, but it requires buying lots of tickets, so the investment is big.
There's the legend(of myth) that almost all gambling games are rigged, so that the casino would always win in the end.
How can you win in a rigged game, by using logic and strategy? It's impossible to outsmart the casino.
I don't know if this is true, maybe it is, or maybe it isn't. Nobody can ever prove, that this is true.
474  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Your Exchange to Wallet Ratio? on: January 08, 2024, 07:08:19 AM
Does anybody leave a percentage of their BTC on the exchanges, or do you guys store all your BTC in your wallets, etc?

My current ratio is 100% in cold wallet and 0% in crypto exchange.
Several years ago, when I was a crypto noob, I used to store almost all my BTC in my Localbitcoins account. Luckily, I never got scammed by Localbitcoins(LBC was legit). I also stored small amounts of BTC on other crypto exchanges like HitBTC and Trageogre without getting scammed.
I was ignorant back then. Now, I would never trust a centralized crypto exchange to store my coins in the long term.
Maybe by leaving small amounts of crypto on the exchange you are "flying under the radars" and you won't get scammed. Try leaving big amount of crypto on a centralized exchange and see what happens. Grin
475  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is just happened on the Bitcoin Market? on: January 07, 2024, 11:48:23 AM
Bitcoin was around $45K to $45.5K for the whole day, but it started going down for the last two hours. Bitcoin just touched $40.7K, and now it's around $42K again. I was trying to figure out what had just happened. Bitcoin lost $3K in two hours and alts are now bleeding. There are several negative news just popped up and some of them are

* SEC will REJECT Bitcoin Spot ETFs Again Says Matrixport Report
* Miners Unload BTC to Exchanges
* Matrixport Predicts Bitcoin Price Dip To $36k Amid SEC’s Potential Rejection Of BTC Spot ETF

Which one could be reason of such movement?

Probably lack of support for a price above 45K, which leads to many traders selling BTC at 45K and cashing in the profits. This leads to a wave to automatic stop loss orders, which pushed the price down.
This Matrixport Report has been pointed as a big FUD factors in the last few days, but I don't believe it. How can the creators of the report know about the SEC rejecting the Bitcoin Spot ETF before there's an actual decision? Does someone have insider information about the SEC decision?
Anyway, the price pump from 30K to 45K was clearly caused by the anticipation of a Bitcoin Spot ETF approval. If the ETF gets rejected, I think that the BTC price will get down to 30K(which isn't necessarily bad). I expect the real bull run to begin several months after the 2024 BTC halving.

Do not desire your own money. It turns you from a producer to a consumer.
Do not desire the money of others. Envy is a deadly sin. Because it will distract you from your own mission.
Do not desire the money you will make in the future. Desire good work right now, You don't want cash in, you want to serve.

Meh. This sounds like BS to me. It was probably plagiarized out of any random "How to become rich" self-help book from a mediocre author. Grin
1.You can't become rich, if you are not greedy. Greed is the first step towards the desire to become rich.
2.I agree that being envy is a big sin. And a really toxic one. The people, who are envy rarely succeed.
3.Rich people don't become rich by doing "good work right now" and by "serving" other people. They become rich by innovating and by outperforming the competitors. This can be done by hard work, but working smarter is better than working harder.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 07, 2024, 07:22:48 AM
I have come across Local gamblers who are addicted to gambling and had ruined their selves by themselves til they ran bankrupt yet they borrows money to gamble at all means even While being indebted.
Theses sets of gamblers doesn't have remorse nor conscience about their gambling lifestyles instead their friends and relatives are the ones who bears the shameful consequences the addicted gambler brought to their circle of relationships.
At the virtue of getting the unbearable situations to an end, the relatives broadcasts the chronic addicted gambler at all costs of gambling boards never to give him privileges to gamble in any of the Gambling arenas anymore else they (the relatives) would sue the gambling boards owner.
This is just how recklessness could mess your life of you can't take control to gamble responsibly.

Take note and be aware that your way of gambling could affect your relationships and the circle of your relatives.

What if the gambling addict is an playing online? I guess that the family and relatives could try to block his internet connection and take away his computer and smartphone. Suing offline casinos for letting gambling addicts to gamble seems pointless to me. No court is going to decide such case in favor of the gambler's family.
The thing you are writing about can be applied to any form of addiction. At some point, you drown so deep in the addiction that it affects your family. This is the worst part. Damaging the lives of your parents, brothers, sisters, significant other and kids due to your addiction is the most embarrassing thing that could ever happen to an addict. That's why I will never let myself get addicted to anything(not just gambling).

Do you really think it was all about Matrixport's report saying all bitcoin spot ETFs will be rejected by the SEC? No, not at all, it's all a game plan, a strategy to make us panic short and spot sell our bitcoins.

Stop being a crypto noob and don't overthink about every price movement. It's normal for Bitcoin to have a volatile price.
You are coming up with the conspiracy theory, that someone is manipulating the market by creating false panic. This might be true, but it might be a lie. Do you have any verified information to back up your theory? If you don't, then this is just spreading rumors and gossips about "the crypto whales want to manipulate the price and steal money from the average Joe" type of BS.
The BTC price went from 45K to 43K and now it's sitting at around 44K. There's no reason to be obsessed with such small fluctuations.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The is always on gambling, never the individual. on: January 05, 2024, 06:56:40 AM
The other day someone was talking about how he hates gambling as it nearly ruined his life, and within my mind I was like, no it was not gambling that nearly ruined you it was actually you that tried to ruin your life and that's because you refused to gamble responsibly and discipline yourself by not been capable of differentiating money meant for gambling from money meant for other projects in your life.

Why do people blame gamble for their own act of irresponsibility. No one is talking about their own part in their story of bad experience's with gambling, all we get to hear is gambling is bad and a useless activity. Why?

1.Blaming someone else(or something else) for your own failures is easier. That's human nature and you can't change it.
2.Do you try to push the narrative that gambling should not be blamed for gambling addicts ruining their lives?
Yeah, gambling is perfect, it's only you, who should be blamed, when you get addicted and you waste all your money. Cheesy
I think that that the blame should be shared between the gambling industry and the gamblers, who lose self-control and become addicted.
Unfortunately, gambling in one of the industries, that make the most money out of the weak-minded and emotionally unstable people.
This cannot be changed. This is the sad reality. I don't hate gambling in general, but we can't just pretend that the gambling industry is perfect that getting addicted is only a problem for the addicts. Addiction is a problem for the entire society.
480  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale betting system on: January 04, 2024, 12:07:47 PM
This is a common system that some that are into gambling use... it's a system where you double your bet after each loss in hopes of getting back or recovering previous losses when you eventually make profit..it might not be beneficial to everyone
Before venturing into this system make sure you have a significant bankroll,  cause you may need to stake larger amounts to recover losses
You can't do this without having enough funds to spare.
Exploring this system doesn't always guarantee 100 percent success..many have lost a lot with this system and many have also made a
Lot of profit from it.. remember to always stake what you can afford and set limits for yourself
I would like get more ideas from my readers
Thanks for reading

This is forum post number 12494905 about martingale. Do you want to add anything new to the discussion?
What "more ideas" do you want to get from the forum members? All the info about martingale is available online for free.
Just do a search and read it. There's no secret twist that will make martingale work or increase it's chances for winning.
My advice would be to never stick to martingale. Just try to be as random as possible in your bets. Sometimes you can apply the martingale tactic of making a double bet after you lose, but don't repeat it too often. Sometimes you might get lucky, but in the long run you will lose(which is fine).
