461  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Monero - Privacy as the world becomes more dystopian on: November 29, 2023, 11:57:25 AM
1.There's no problem having both Bitcoin and Monero in your portfolio. I don't see your question as a "this or that" type of choice.
2.Yes, Monero is more private than Bitcoin, but so what? You could send monero to someone and still get scammed.
You could deposit monero in a centralized crypto exchange or crypto casino and never see it again.
The only advantage of Monero is the lack of transparency of transactions, but you could achieve the same thing by using a trusted BTC mixer.
Monero transaction fees are lower, but I wonder what the tx fees would be, if the Monero blockchain gets clogged with some useless shit like the Bitcoin Ordinals. Grin
462  Economy / Economics / Re: China's real-estate sector is NOT doing well, it might bring whole economy down on: November 29, 2023, 11:20:11 AM
property is always needed. its literally a hard asset
investing in property has backups of government seizing the property/land of real estate if they dont pay back. the government can be part of the deal of escrow too.

the loans are to help real estate developers finish 50-80% part-built apartment blocks so they can put them on the market, sell and then repay costs

its a drastic different story compared to say doing grants and loans to restaurants and small businesses which can take money and just close business. when you see how many scammed the small business stimulus system of multiple countries. you'll soon see investing in property is more secure

not only do the government get back loaned money of the development. but they then continually earn land/property taxes. so it pales in comparison to the small business stimulus cheques system risks

Are you familiar with the real estate bubble in China?
China has entire cities full with new buildings and nobody wants to buy an apartment in those buildings.
I agree that the Chinese government can seize the properties, if the companies fail to repay their loans, but the problem remains.
What would the Chinese government do with thousands of apartments, which cannot be sold because nobody wants to buy them?
The whole real estate bubble will collapse, when the demand for new houses/apartments goes down.
Of course China has enough reserves to temporarily solve the problem by injecting more money into the real estate business.
The problem is that this solution is temporary.

The 9G platform accounts have permanent value, the more you play on the platform, the more precious your account will become!

OP, why don't you invest a little bit of money in making a proper announcement thread? Having a boring announcement thread in the Gambling forum is bad for marketing.
I don't understand your statement about 9G accounts becoming more "precious". Do you mean that 9G accounts can be bought and sold? What makes the 9G accounts valuable? Is the total amount of players on the platform limited?
I don't trust websites, that have a .net domain name. This seems kinda cheap and unprofessional. Is it so hard and expensive to get a .com or .io domain?
Anyway, good luck with this project.
464  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Combination of the young age correlated with Bitcoin for the future on: November 29, 2023, 06:49:22 AM
Someone is his early 20s having 4 BTC(120K USD)? I find it hard to believe... Would you mind posting any legit proof about the existence of your "friend" and his "4 BTC"? Grin
How did your "friend" managed to gather 4 BTC? Did his parents gave him the BTC, when he was really young and the BTC price was really low? Does he run some kind of crypto business(or a crypto scam)? Grin
This is a typical "first world problem". There are people with actual problems in the real world. Being in a "mental dilemma" about selling or keeping 4 BTC isn't a serious problem at all. Having lots of money in an early age is a recipe for disaster. I hope that your so called "friend" doesn't waste the money on girls and weed/alcohol/drugs/gambling. Grin
465  Economy / Economics / Re: You are the product. Corporations spying on us deeper than we thought? on: November 28, 2023, 12:00:47 PM
I don't agree that we are being "spied" by Google, Meta and Microsoft. By using those platforms, we are giving our permission for our data to be used for marketing purposes. It's not spying if you are aware that your online behavior is being tracked. Grin Spying is only when you don't know.
I don't know about whether or nor our smartphones are recording us. I usually hate wearing my smartphone in my pockets and I don't keep my smartphone turned on for very long periods of time. You can do an experiment to prove your theory. Talk about something in front of your smartphone and then do a Google search(or Bing search) about the thing you talked about.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with crypto because taxation makes no sense? on: November 28, 2023, 07:03:15 AM
I can't discuss the tax systems of other countries, because I'm not 100% familiar with them.
The tax system in my country is as simple as it gets. There's a 15% gambling revenue tax(which all casinos have to pay) and the gamblers should pay 10% income tax for their winnings. It's not that complicated and it doesn't require an accountant to be hired to do your papers.
But yes, all people hate to pay taxes and the crypto gambling industry was created with the initial purpose of being free from taxes(because crypto wasn't well regulated 10 years ago). Nowadays, crypto gambling is as regulated as fiat gambling(well, most of the crypto casinos) and I can't find any major benefits of gambling on a crypto casino instead of a fiat casino.
467  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do I find a Balance Here? on: November 28, 2023, 06:25:09 AM
I have been holding for the long term and really want to continue this into the future. But right now, I am torn between continuing to hold and supporting a business that just started accepting Bitcoin. The internal conflict stems from my desire to contribute to the expansion of the Bitcoin economy by supporting businesses that adopt Bitcoin. I view this as a personal contribution to the broader acceptance and utilization of Bitcoin. On the other hand, it means that it will disrupt my plan of holding 100%. How do I find a balance between supporting this business that just started accepting Bitcoin and adhering to my investment strategy of long-term hodling?

You want to build a brand new business or you want to start accepting BTC payments in an already established business?
Building a business from scratch means that you might lose money in the first 2 or 3 years before you start making any serious money.
Nobody is obligated to HODL 100% of his Bitcoins. Even hardcore HODLers can sell a part of their BTC sometimes. I'm sure that there will be a price crash coming soon(before the 2025 bull run), so there's no problem selling a part of your BTC and start accumulating BTC at a lower price. Nobody can find the balance for you. What kind of business are you running and what is the initial investment?
468  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: November 27, 2023, 11:59:10 AM
I'm beginning to see a weird "self-fulfilling prophecy" here. Grin
1.A bunch of AI chat bots predicts higher BTC price by the end of the year.
2.Many crypto traders see this news and they think "hmm, let's buy more BTC, because the price will increase, several AI chatbots can't be wrong".
3.They start buying more BTC and the BTC price goes to 45K USD, surprisingly fulfilling the prediction/prophecy of those AI bots. Grin
The whole process can go in the opposite direction.
What if the AI bots predict a 10K BTC price by the end of the year.
The traders will see this prediction and start panic selling, which causes the price to drop down to 10K, fulfilling the AI prediction. Grin
WOW, this looks like a way to manipulate the Bitcoin market(and all altcoin markets as well). Grin
469  Economy / Economics / Re: Central Banks keeping secret about CBDC blockchains on: November 27, 2023, 11:21:25 AM
They keep it secret but they know and i know and all of you know If they bring in new blockchain then can we be sure of it's scalebility ? Safety? And all the other factors.
They just gamble and try out ?
They should be smart and educated enough to know that If bring some thing into CBDC -s then it can't be like it was covid19 when goverments all over the world just gambled with people healt.
Imagine If the non tested CBDC will fail something happens and all your wealth is gone.
Goverments and bankers not gods they are just humans like everybody else and nobody not perfect so we should use our own heads to think aswell not just trust blindly.
They better be sure that those CBDC not be like they the covid19 was when it was just mess.
Something doesn't make sense here.

CBDC technology is still being tested for flaws and errors. Do you really think that the central bankers are dumb enough to launch an untested payment infrastructure? Nobody is keeping the CBDCs a secret. There were hundreds of articles about CBDC creation and implementation around the internet in the last few years.
The governments don't need a new pandemic in order to impose CBDCs. I'm not a fan of CBDCs, but I'm sure that their implementation in everyday life will be as painless for the people as it gets.
OP, your post seems really ignorant on so many levels. Do you even understand how CBDC works? Read more about the subject, before posting low quality forum topics.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Bets to Know How Good Enough You Are? on: November 27, 2023, 06:58:27 AM
As a gambler, how many bets do you think  you need to place to give you a true idea of how good you are? Anyone can hit 60% in the short term. But for example in betting I am hitting between 55-60% depending on the sport after around 450 - 500 bets. Assuming I want to go pro on betting, do you think that this is good enough or do I wait and see what my percentage is after 800 - 900 bets before making a decision?

Bets on what? Sports betting or traditional casino games(roulette, slots, crash, etc.)?
You simply cannot prove "how good you are" at luck based games. Luck is luck. Sometimes you have it, sometimes you don't.
Sports betting is a different topic. What kind of bets are you talking about? Lot odds or higher odds(of maybe a mix between the two)?
Everyone could make 500 bets with high odds and get a 70%+ success rate. The real masters of sports betting could make bigger profits via bets on low odds. I assume that this is a combination of luck and knowing the teams(players) you bet on.
Betting performance can be dependent of your mental state. Sometimes you can have better luck and score better results and the other day, your performance and results could fall apart.
471  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: From Mining to Gambling: A Rollercoaster Ride in the Crypto World on: November 27, 2023, 06:26:57 AM
1.Maybe you should move this thread to the Gambling Discussion forum, since you are writing about crypto gambling. This forum is about discussions that are directly related to Bitcoin.
2.I find it hard to believe your story. Can you post some kind of proof? Transactions of the blockchain? Screenshots from casinos?
3.I guess that you have formed some kind of gambling addiction. Winning 100K via gambling makes you think that you could win 1M, which is totally delusional. The casino always wins at the end of the day and gambling is supposed to be for fun only. This is not a way to make money consistently or to become rich quick. Quit gambling ASAP. This isn't a healthy behavior.
472  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I still hold the investment or sell it? on: November 26, 2023, 11:59:20 AM
Quote
At the time I invested in Bitcoin I clearly remember when Bitcoin was worth around $25K. To be honest, I couldn't sleep well until a few days after investing, I always felt that maybe I had invested my hard-earned savings in the wrong place. Although it was bad for a few days, I was able to adjust myself with it later. After a few days of my investment, I felt that something good must be waiting for me, because since that time the price of Bitcoin has been steadily increasing and has reached its current level.

If you can't stand Bitcoin's price volatility then maybe this investment isn't for you. You will eventually panic and sell everything, when the price crashes(there will be a price crash in the future, I'm 100% sure about that). The price drops will be followed by bull runs, so there's nothing to worry about, but some people can't control their emotions.
Asking strangers for financial advice is wrong, if you ask me. Nobody can take responsibility for your own finances. Only you can take the responsibility for your savings. I would sell the BTC at 37K and wait for the price to crash back to 20K, in order to buy again, but that's just me. Grin
473  Economy / Economics / Re: strange indicators to know economy is bad on: November 26, 2023, 11:30:50 AM
OP, where did you get this list of strange indexes? Would you mind sharing with us a link to the source of information?
The people can cut their spending and consumption in times of high inflation, not just when the recession hits the economy.
When everything becomes more expensive, the demand for luxurious goods and services goes down. I'm sure that we can survive during a tough economy with less expenses for haircuts, underwear, not visiting cinemas or buying stuff we usually don't need.
The most brutal index is the "morgue" index. Funerals are also getting so damn expensive nowadays and it's a shame that many poor people can't afford a decent funeral for their dead relatives.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy with unusual/strange gambling sites on: November 26, 2023, 07:34:35 AM
OP, what's the point of this forum thread?
You are sharing your experience with an online casino, but you keep the casino a secret. Are you afraid that posting the casino name here would seem like you are advertising that particular casino? What was your overall experience with the casino? Was it good or bad?
I can't seem to find a clear answer in your forum post. What makes you think that this particular casino was strange and unusual?
It's normal to have no problems with a small withdrawal. Try having no problems with a very big withdrawal. Grin
Have you ever tried withdrawing several thousands dollars worth of crypto from a casino?
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi is Faceless on: November 26, 2023, 06:40:52 AM
Comparing Satoshi Nakamoto to CZ, Sam Bankman-Fried or the CEO of Ripple(I forgot his name) seems kinda wrong to me.
Satoshi created the technology and the platform. CZ, SBF and other big crypto CEOs are simply running businesses(and scams) on top of that technology and that platform.
Perhaps Satoshi could be compared to Andreas Antonopoulos, Gavin Andresen or Vitalik Buterin(even though some of those people were early Bitcoin developers).
I don't even know if Satoshi is one person or several people. I'm sure that keeping his(their) identity a secret was a smart move.
476  Economy / Economics / Re: No Correlation Between Academic Success and Financial Success on: November 24, 2023, 11:40:25 AM
We have seen that it has been debated that there are more A students who work for C students or there are C students who earn more than A students. Personally I don't believe any of this premise. What I believe is that it doesn't matter whether you are an A student or have a high IQ. Rather it's about having the courage to venture into unchattered territories, including taking calculated risk and making the most of the opportunities that lead to high income. In our society today and in the past, the people who have demonstrated audacity and capitalized on privileged advantages to undertake risky yet lucrative business ideas are the ones who end up being of great influence and earn more. Do you agree?

fastercapital.com/startup-topic/Taking-Calculated-Risks.html

Many smart people are introverts and the current society doesn't favor introverts.
The society favors extroverted people with really good social skills and lots of energy.
I guess that this study is about former students and not people, who are currently studying at a college/university.
I wouldn't be surprised if many introverted A students are working for extroverted C students.
Other important factor that should be taken into consideration is looks.
The society favors good looking people over people with bad looks.
An ugly(and yet smart) A student could be working for an attractive C student.
Good looks and good social skills will always dominate over high IQ. This is the society we live in. Sad
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Crowdfund for a Gambler Who Has Gambled Irresponsibly? on: November 24, 2023, 07:22:57 AM
A few days ago, I posed a question in this forum, wondering if, as someone who engages in gambling, you've ever considered thought of giving back to the community if you ever had a successful gambling run. I carefully went through all the responses, maintaining keen interest and taking note of each perspective. Another aspect of the inquiry involves whether you would be willing to participate in crowdfunding for a fellow gambler who reaches out to the public through social media seeking financial support after they gambled with the funds meant for an important project like, investment, school fees, rent, marriage or any other thing. And what would you say to those who go ahead to donate to these gamblers out of a sense of empathy?

Giving money to a gambling addict is like buying cocaine for a drug addict. This doesn't help him at all and it might make his situation worse.
Do you really think that giving money to a gambler is a true act of empathy? I don't think so. True empathy would be trying to help a gambler to get rid of his gambling addiction.
I also wonder how many people would donate money to someone, who starts a Gofundme campaign and claims that he's a gambler with big debts and a growing addiction. Is it possible for such crowdfunding campaigns to be launched on Gofundme(or other crowdfunding platforms)? Probably not. I assume that such campaign would probably be banned from the platform.
478  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC technology and the need for referral codes/links. on: November 24, 2023, 06:48:43 AM
Is BTC technology a failing/failed technology because it has no referrals, but rely on an exchanges' program which aims for users to earn some dollars by referral codes?

Would referral codes even be a necessary initiative for the BTC investors and customers who intend to not only earn substantially by trading or HoDling, but by sharing their referral codes/links?

Is it even worth it to focus on earning by sharing referral codes?

Your thoughts are welcomed!

Bitcoin(and blockchain technology) is not a company nor an affiliate offer.
OP, do you really want to turn Bitcoin/blockchain into some kind of ponzi scheme, where the more referrals you gather the more money you earn? Have you seen any major altcoins having a referral system and offering commissions for every new user, who was referred by someone?
Do not mistake the technology with the companies, that are using that technology to run their business.
Many crypto companies are offering referral programs because this is a way for them to attract new customers for free.
I've never seen a legit altcoin becoming popular, only because it has a referral system.
479  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto exchange Binance punishes Russians for the war in Ukraine on: November 23, 2023, 11:26:54 AM

But starting November 20, Russians will face a new unpleasant surprise. From now on, on Binance you can neither buy nor sell cryptocurrencies such as Cardano (ADA), Algorand (ALGO), Arbitrum (ARB), Arkham (ARKM), ARPA, BNB, BUSD, Polkadot (DOT), Ethereum (ETH) for rubles ), Litecoin (LTC), Polygon (MATIC), NEAR, Solana (SOL), Worldcoin (WLD) and XRP.

Binance representatives explained this decision “to protect users and support high-quality trading.”

There's a contradiction here. So basically Binance left Russia, but Russian citizens can still open accounts and trade on the platform?
I thought that "leaving Russia" means banning the Russian citizens from using Binance completely.
Forbidding the Russians from buying and selling several altcoins doesn't seem like a real punishment to me.
I didn't understand the news about Youtube, Telegram and Whatsapp being banned in Russia. This seems like fake news to me.
Telegram is a Russian platform and even the pro-Putin supporters and organizations are actively using it.
Telegram being banned in Russia doesn't make any sense at all.

There is the true story of Fatih Ozcan[1] who helped his boss Hayati Kucukkoylu to win a $1.7 million lottery through the power of dreams. He claimed that he received the revelation about the Euro Millions tickets from his dreams

Why do I have the feeling that this story is fake/made up. Grin
The guy, who bought the lottery tickets and won the jackpot probably made up this story about "the dreams" of his employee.
And why the employee(Fatih Ozcan) didn't buy the lottery tickets in order to win the jackpot for himself? Sounds suspicious to me...
No, I don't believe in "psychic" betting. At the end of the day, everything is about luck. Hayati Kucukkoylu was lucky and Paul the Octopus was lucky as well(even though Paul the Octopus was lucky several times Grin).
Thinking that some animals have the supernatural power to predict the outcome of sports events is simply dumb and delusional.
