I guess they couldn't make it in time and decided to skip to 130 nm.  Now they are struggling with the 130 nm.

Heh.

I think I've heard this music before, but I can't quite put my finger on  where....  Smiley

466  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: August 30, 2013, 03:27:55 PM
Of the bonds listed last weekend (500 @0.20,  1000@0.225 and 500@0.25) the first 1500 have sold, and the 500@0.25 have sold.  The 500 at 0.25 are selling well now.

@Lab_Rat has now added 500@0.275 and 500@0.30 for sale.

Once these outstanding bonds are filled, LabRatMining will have sold in excess of 41,000 bonds.

LabRatMining has now joined the Terahash Club.  Just shy of 1.3TH and climbing rapidly!!!  This is a momentous occasion for the company and it looks like 2TH is just around the corner.

Get your bonds at a decent price while you still can.  From here on out we should see some big jumps in the next 4-5 weeks.

This news certainly seems to be driving some purchases through Smiley

Yeah, someone just dropped 99BTC (~$11k) on bonds.  o.O

A very interesting incremental pricing structure has just appeared on BitFunder. I wonder who is responsible for it... Huh I'm pretty sure it's not LR himself, (...)

Nope, it's not @Lab_Rat.  Just confirmed with him.  Someone else is trying to breadcrumb the price up.  Smiley

We should be hearing from the Rat himself shortly regarding Saturday's dividend payments.

I just got dividends twice at ฿0.00083112 for a total of ฿0.00166224

Was it a mistake? So no dividends next week?

(...) I imagine it will be deducted from next week's payouts, though this will obviously cause problems for people planning on buy/selling shares in the meantime. If there were no sales there would be no problem, but as we're back in open-market mode then this could be a bit of a whoopsie. As I was saying, wait for the powers that be to decide how to handle it.

Worst case scenario (for him) is he just takes it on the chin at a cost of ~30BTC to him/the company in order to avoid the complication of dealing with the shares that change hands between now and next week...

Just to confirm: The double dividend payment was in error.  I'm I do not know at this point how (or if) it will be resolved.

I will update as I know more.

(....) and early shareholders will easily recover what they spent on shares.

Speaking of shares...  Nearly 200 shares have been traded at around 0.185 in the last 24 hours.  That's up 15% over last week.

I've also been told that another Single and Little Single were added to the mining pool over the week, bringing the total hashrate from 610 GH/s to 700 GH/s.

Some (most?) of you may have heard that BFL has announced a 28nm ASIC design, and offered to let people with V1 orders transfer their order to the new product line.

@Lab_Rat's comment on how this will affect LRM's BFL order, from the BFL forum:

Quote
Regarding Monarchs, I can assure you I'm not going to skip out on them, but I'm also not going all in. I am going to check on the 'Institutional Pricing' when there are individuals at BFL I may talk to. What will likely happen is that I will be converting the late order of 500GH units to Monarchs and applying the necessary funds to reach 50+ at the discounted price we reach when discussing this matter.

The way I see things is that these are excellent for long run equipment, but they will take multiple months to get in hand when a 500GH unit tomorrow will mine quite a few coins before that point. For this reason I will not be placing all of LRMs funds in this sort of purchase. I firmly believe that spreading between the best-bet companies is the way to go and I can assure you all that you will not regret my decision to do so.

I have some 65nm equipment coming in as we speak as well as some in hand, I have some 55nm equipment coming in soon, and will have some 28nm equipment coming in at the end of the year it seems. LRM will not miss the boat on any sort of deal that will further this company.

Just FYI.

WTH happened to the 68,000 odd shares for sale at the .16, .17, .18, .19 and .20 price points? They have simply vanished?

From Lab_Rat's post last week:

(...)
Next Saturday when dividends are paid out, I will not be re-listing the remaining bonds.  It has occurred to me that some individuals may choose to purchase a large quantity of bonds once dividends have begun being paid, therefore diluting the existing bondholders dividends.  As the hashrate of LRM is rising this could become a reality.  To prevent this from happening while still allowing for growth of the company, I will be selling small quantities of bonds at market price until the remaining bonds (out of the 100,000) are sold.  This will allow LRM to market regulate.  It is important to raise capital and expand without harming those who made their investments early.

The reason I have chosen next Saturday is that it is 1 full month from the day the bonds were listed, and there should be a significant amount of hashrate coming online in the next couple weeks for LRM.

(...)

As an aside, fully 1/3rd of the bonds have been sold in the initial month.  Not bad.

Question with the bonds how do you earn on the bonds kept and how does one receive payments if keeping bonds and not selling and gaining power in return for the mining.

How does that actually work in terms of payments in btc? Is it based on keeping bond and more bonds bought and continue to hold and wait for value to go up then sell etc? Or do we gain income from bonds kept and hashing power generates coin for yourself on top of keeping bonds ?

Each bond is bought through BitFunder.com.  Each bond represents a share of the hashrate run by LabRatMining.  Each Saturday, the BTC generated by that hashrate is paid as a dividend to your BitFunder account, and can be re-invested or transferred out.  You can also (at any time) sell one or more of the bonds you own through BitFunder.

The way Lab_Rat has been working on getting HashRate I wouldn't be surprised if we see a large jump in next coming weeks. Right now people are scared with only 130GH mining, when we hit .5TH.. 1TH.. 2TH.. 4TH... there's no doubt in my mind that shares will be gobbled up.

Yup.  However, as @mmmerlin pointed out, @Lab_Rat is pulling most of the unsold shares off of BitFunder on Saturday, and will be selling them in small batches going forward, either at the promised amount, or market value.

3 more days to get bonds at a guaranteed price.  Smiley  Given that the IPO bonds sitting at 0.16 have acted as a cap, and there has been very little sold much below that, it looks like the price will go up, too.

About an hour ago, a purchase through BitFunder put the number of bonds sold from the IPO over 25,000.

25% of the initial issue has been sold in a little over 2 weeks.

grnbrg.

Over 30% sold now, 30,700 bonds in the wild now!
Yeah, someone bought a block of nearly 3,000 bonds yesterday. 8-O  I wish I had that kind of cash to play with.....

Does it mean if the market price to go down below .15 per bond (say like 0.10), you would still be selling small amounts of bonds? You have to spell it out one way or another to avoid confusion.

Thank you.

I'm pretty sure the implication is that it will be at whichever is higher out of the market value, or the current level as per IPO pricing structure (there are only 13.3k left @0.16, after which it will be 20k @0.17), but do wait for LR or grnbrg to confirm.
I've confirmed this with @Lab_Rat, and it is correct.  The bonds will be sold in the price tiers as previously stated, or at market value, whichever is higher.

I'm just fire-fighting as I expect a lot of people to be waving burning torches soon saying "You guaranteed XXX MH/bond" when the first dividends are paid out v. soon, when in fact what they should be saying is "it's only small but boy is it sooner than I expected, and much better than nothing at all!"

+1  Smiley
