461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost half of my crypto amount! what to do? on: August 17, 2018, 04:12:21 PM
So I basically got fomoed. Towards the end of 2017 I saw how high bitcoin skyrocketed and decided to invest in ripple as a test. Less than one week it went up 3x. This made me more ballsy and I put in 11k total in various other alt coins like ripple, ethos, tron, and cardano. After the crash I lost about half of my value just like that. I am frustrated with the experience and wish I would have just put in 1k or something. I wish I could just not invested and went into what I was doing earlier which was just investing the boring and traditional way. Should I wait and hodl or pull out and do something else?
If you already sell all of your holdings today it will really a big loss because most of your holdings has a low price in the market, so the best thing to do is to wait for its price to increase for you to have a good profit once more.
462  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto replacing fiat? on: August 17, 2018, 03:34:14 PM
Lets say crypto completely and utterly replaced fiat. Fiats don't exist anymore. All governments have seen the advantage of using digital currency and have completely changed their fiat into crypto, like dollar to dollar token(obviously not tether). How viable is this? For example anyone can see how much I am holding using the public ledger and track me down and force me into sending them the cryptos I hold. I wanna discuss in reality if cryptos actually replace fiat how life will be and what are the problems we are gonna face and the immediate effects of it.
I think it will be difficult for crypto to replace fiat, because fiat is supported by the government and it is been using all over the world, so bitcoin has a low chance to beat fiat currency. But if bitcoin has a chance to replace fiat every transaction will be using blockchain technology.l
463  Economy / Economics / Re: How will crypto go long term? on: July 29, 2018, 04:23:15 PM
Just be patient and you will succeed and be able to reinvest your capital in this cryptographic market. At present the market is extremely downturn, the price of coins constantly decreased. That is why many people are afraid to invest in them.
Patience is the key in cryptocurrency for you to succeed with it because if you sell all of your holdings in a low price it will only give you a low profit as well. Many investors who still believes in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because it will all go for a long term and it will give them a good benefits.
464  Economy / Economics / Re: Now I believe cryptocurrency may change the financial condition on: July 29, 2018, 04:16:36 PM
Well, congratulations on your success. This case proves that absolutely anyone can improve their lives with the help of crypto currency. Soon the crypto currency will be finally integrated into our life.
right, but I think not everyone can succeed with bitcoin.
I have heard a lot about losses that are experienced with this investment, and worse yet some even once committed suicide for having spent everything with bitcoin but failed.
There are people who don't succeed with bitcoin because they are unknowledgeable about it that is why they have victim in scam. Bitcoin has a lot of benefits to the people who needs a good source of income, aslong you are smart and you don't take much risk you can be rich with it.
465  Economy / Economics / Re: When will smartphones used for bitcoin mining? on: July 29, 2018, 03:40:00 PM
As we all know that smartphones are just like computer nowadays that has strong storage capacity and processor. This I think could be enable to mine bitcoin and this is what I am waiting for if there are any smartphones company that would offer their smartphones for bitcoin mining or even as a smartphone that works as digital hardware wallet for bitcoin and other crypto. I am waiting for it to happen. Do you think that it will happen?
It is impossible that smartphones will be used in mining because there are certain performance and limit that a smartphone will need before it will be used for mining. Even smartphones can do many things nowadays it is not capable in mining.
466  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel like quitting? on: July 29, 2018, 01:42:25 PM
The market has been down for too long. Do you feel like quitting cryto because you ve lost much?
For me, am a die hard fan of crypto. I will be a coward if i run away. I will stay till the green light shows. What about you?
No. I do not feel like quitting in cryptocurrency because i still believe that it will increase all of its price again like last year. Just have the patience and think positive that all of our holdings will have a good value, so that we could earn a good profit once again.
467  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is facebook creating their own crypto? on: July 29, 2018, 01:34:11 PM
Heard a rumor that facebook  was thinking about launching their own crypto. What do you guys think about this?

Would also love your feedback on Algebraix. App that keeps your data private and pays you to watch ads. how do you think they will measure up to the advertising giants like facebook and google?
I really do think that facebook will not create their own cryptocurrency because they started removing cryptocurrency related ads and news about it. But if facebook will start creating their crypto i think many people will get imterested to part of their project.
468  Economy / Economics / Re: Does engaging with bitcoins put you at risk? on: July 29, 2018, 01:27:32 PM
There are always risks in business and if you want to make BIG gains then you'll have to take BIG risks too. In last few months, Bitcoin hasn't moved much up or down after the January's hype and dump. So I don't think engaging in Bitcoin puts us at any risk.
Yes I agree with you. Engaging in this industry of cryptocurrency is also kind of a risk and desicions. If you want to gain a large amount of money then you should also take a risk even if it is hard to you but you should do it to be able to reach the goal you've always wanted.
Exactly.More risks means more gains so if you think you want to reap huge gains even in the future then start taking risks now.I think not just in bitcoin but even in other investments, risks is still there. It's just that bitcoin has more risks to take knowing it has also its own high volatility.
Everything in cryptocurrency is a risk, if you have made the right decision you might double your profit or even more. There are also risk that you will get nothing and that is part of in engaging cryptocurrency, but you can still easily return all of it in with out any worries.
469  Economy / Economics / Re: How bitcoin can help for working abroad specially OFW on: July 29, 2018, 01:07:25 PM
Bitcoin/Coins.ph are so many way to make our life easier specially for OFW.
*They can use it to remit a money for their family in Philippines in a very convenient.
*Bitcoin is also way to earn extra money by using earning some satoshi or faucet.
Please share more on how bitcoin can help.
I think bitcoin can help people who works especially OFW by giving them extra income to give and support their family back from home. But it will be good if their family back home are the ones who uses bitcoin, so that OFW will have less problem in supporting their needs.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does hard work in gambling count? on: July 27, 2018, 04:20:31 PM
I am curious to know if someone continually invested a lot of time in studying a game involved in gambling, further if he had played the game a lot to understand the intricacies involved, then can we call him an expert in that gambling game? If we do call him an expert then we clearly differentiate his experience and expertise from that of a novice. This clearly shows that the person is capable of winning more as an expert than the novice who really does not have the in-depth understanding of the play.

This brings us to an interesting question if hard work in gambling really pays off? If one puts in a lot of efforts to understand a game involved in gambling, does it mean that all his time has gone down the drain? Certainly no. If gambling were simply a blind guess or a wild shot then even years of studying it makes it useless because one is simply guessing the outcome blindly. But such is not the scenario with gambling in reality. What makes hard work count in gambling?

This further sets off the question of addiction in gambling. Work can also be an addiction for many. But here the addiction could be for perfecting the game and the art of playing. This kind of addiction is to struggle every time for success by proper calculation and review. However, addiction can also be due to pure greed of winning with no clear knowledge of the game. If hard work counts, then we may actually find a solution for a healthier addiction towards success in gambling.
In my own opinion, working hard in gambling will still not help you to become successful in gambling even you become expert in the game because working hard cannot be counted as luck for you to win. The only people who become successful with gambling are dealers and owners of a certain casino.
471  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you find Success in Gambling? on: July 26, 2018, 04:09:45 PM
With addiction as a side effect of gambling, I do wish to know what exactly the success rate of your gambling is. How many times have you not found yourself facing simply losses and that you still pin hope on success?

Gambling allows you to think that you will win every time in spite of the losses that you incur. You feel that success is just missed by a margin as thin as a hair. Every time you lose, you do feel that success was almost there and you could have had it almost certainly. And since it was almost a success story just missed by a very thin margin, you do not mind going in for another try only to miss again by a thinner margin! One success and you are happy. But does it stop? No. You feel that your efforts have now borne fruit and here onward you will surely win every time you take a shot in that game. But what happens? You lose again by a margin thinner than the previous time.

In this way we are lured every time for that success almost at hand, which we saw but could not get hold of. And we try time and again because it is so near. The truth is that you will find you end up losing everything in the hope of laying your hands on that success. Only the extremely self-controlled man will stop himself from further gambling the moment he tastes success.

True, many times one success can compensate for all the losses incurred. But what we miss is that that success itself is extremely rare. It is not a bad thing to have hope. But hope serves when we work hard towards success not otherwise.
No i dont find any success in gambling because most people who plays gambling and get addicted to it do not take home a huge winnings. The only people who finds success in gambling is the dealer and the owner of a certain casino because all of the money that we lose will be put to them.
472  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can bitcoin would actually be overthrown? on: July 26, 2018, 04:02:39 PM
There are a lot of rumor right now while the value of bitcoin is decreasing that is can be potentially be overthrown. i know for a fact the bitcoins technology is kind of outdated compared to the new ones coming out of the market, but the coins value is so high right now and is also wildly known because of this popularity bitcoin invites new investors in the platform.I think ETH would be the toughest contender in overthrowing the coin perhaps it also has grown popularity over the couple of years of its existence and is also continuing to grow.

Can bitcoin can be potentially overthrown by other coins? what are you thoughts? and what coins do you think can out run bitcoin?
I think bitcoin cannot be overthrown by other coins because first of all it was the first cryptocurrency that was created and it is the top 1 coin highest value in the market, so how would other coins would overthrown bitcoin. Even bitcoin has a low price today many people still believes that bitcoin will have a more higher price.
473  Economy / Economics / Re: Why lot of countries do not allow to use Crpto? on: July 26, 2018, 03:56:27 PM
Lot of countries do not allow to use crypto currencies and they discourage using them. However as far as I feel, trading with crypto is not that harmful for the economy of the country. As an example, if a person has Eth and someone from another country needs to buy Eth, that buyer needs to pay the seller in terms of dollars. Then that seller needs to convert that Dollars to his native currency which means it creates a the demand for the native currency and increase the value of the currency. May be the government is unable to add a tax on such transactions but it is beneficial for the currency used in seller's country.
What do you think about that?
Other countries do not allow to used cryptocurrency because there are people who used it to their illegal activities such as scams and selling drugs, and they are afraid that it would replace fiat currency and banks. But there are now a lot of countries who accepts cryptocurrency especially bitcoin like America and Japan.
474  Economy / Economics / Re: Why all people moan about the price of bitcoin? on: July 26, 2018, 03:52:18 PM
The forum is full of topics - “When Will Bitcoin Be Back To $...”, “Why BTC is under $...?”, “Final bottom at $...”, “Why BTC is down again?”, “Bitcoin will rise again ?” etc. The last two topics may appear in various forms  a dozen times a day.
I looked at graph price of BTC out of curiosity. I have noted to the price floor:

2015 - $200+
2016 - $300+
2017 - $700+
2018 - $5000+

Do you see something frightening in it?

We all can see that price drops because of actions by a Governments and big whales. Because they have the means and opportunities. They want to break into the our market on advantageous terms for them. Okay, well, I mean, that makes sense. We knew it would happen. But why that have to affect us?

In December 2017, the most people said - "Why I didn't buy BTC for $500… for $1000… f#ck it!.. for $2000...", "I will definitely buy BTC if it costs $7k-6k!..". But now when the price drops so well for us, we see "The demand for BTC is dropping". Seriously?!

So, instead to take advantage of the situation, buy up coins and altcoins, attract new people in crypto world more active than before, a lot of people stuck in indecision and think whether crypto market falls to the bottom and stays there.

Guys, are you serious? Crypto world is made by us. Governments and big whales haven’t any tricks to rule our world. It will happen only if we do nothing.

What do you think about it?

People moans and complains about the price of bitcoin because it decreased its value this year 2018, which many people expect that it will have a high value this year 2018 like last year that many investors are really happy about the price of bitcoin.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin requires approval from countries ? on: July 22, 2018, 04:16:54 PM
Germany recently approved bitcoin, why exactly is the approval required and what will happen after approval ?

Government or country's approval play a role in increasing the usage of the bitcoin. Approval of them helps to promote and advertise the cryptocurrency such as bitcoin. In reality, bitcoin doesn't need any approval to all. You can use it anywhere and anywhen. As long as you have an internet connection and a device you can access bitcoin smoothly. People's approval only means that it is a good choice to be involve in bitcoin and use it as long as you desire.
476  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DONT INVEST IN BTC IF YOU CAN'T OR AFRAID OF TAKING RISK on: July 22, 2018, 03:28:27 PM
This life is full of risks and indeed we are all taking part of it. No one knows Satoshi Nakamoto but people have invested in BTC. In our education we even take risk considering the fact that after school you might not get work.

Over the past months people have been complaining about the price of BTC and I think we should all know something very important. If you are a kind of person who is afraid to take risk. I saw some post talking of anxiety about btc investment and was like if you  can't take risks just leave the crypto world cos you might end up getting  Hypertension Grin.

Check this post out guys- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4706131.0
                                      https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4469252.0

Hope I am right guys? Any comments and suggestions.

Taking risk is a common characteristic that someone must possess in order for him to grow and investing in bitcoin is not an exemption. People who are coward or those who doesn't have enough courage to risk something aren't welcome at all in cryptocurrency world like bitcoin due to it will not give them a good fortune. Investing in bitcoin is a gamble. You either win or lose. The outcome is always uncertain. So taking risk is a must in order for your money to prosper and people who can't do it are not a brave.
477  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did the government want to kill Bitcoin? on: July 22, 2018, 02:59:40 PM
as we know, many governments in the world are banning bitcoins and here I have my own why the government want to kill Bitcoin, because I think Bitcoin can be used for terrorist financing, money laundering, illegal weapons purchases, crime and tax evasion. therefore the government forbids Bitcoin, because Bitcoin transactions are difficult to trace so it is only natural for me if the government is very worried about Bitcoin and many country banning (block) Bitcoin.
but this is just my opinion, so if I am wrong I apologize.

Thank You.

In my opinion, government aren't that so eager to really end the circulation of cryptocurrency like bitcoin because if they really want to then they should totally ban it right ? I think governments are just against in the usage of bitcoin so they don't allow to legalize it in all places becuase of the negative sides they see on bitcoin such as it can be a tool or a medium in money laundering or scamming other people's money. It can also be use in black market transactions or dealing in illegal trading. There are a lot of factors in bitcoin that a government wants to kill.
478  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin in developing countries on: July 22, 2018, 02:38:39 PM
at present, bitcoin is becoming known to people around the world, especially in developing countries. the majority of bitcoin is introduced through news on television and on the internet. Therefore people are starting to want to know what bitcoin is and if it appeals to them, they will invest instead?
Well the government should not be silent on bitcoin, they think bitcoin is disrupting economic stability and there will be inflation in the country.
Do you think that bitcoin will disrupt economic stability and there will be inflation due to bitcoin in a country?
Since bitcoin became legalized in developing countries like Japan and America it becomes more popular and more people who became interested to use and invest in bitcoin. It is not true that bitcoin is disrupting economic stability because bitcoin help to improve the economy of a country just like the developing countries who have just legalized bitcoin as a currency.
479  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long time holding, is it a smart thing to do? on: July 22, 2018, 02:08:47 PM
Long time holding is a smart thing to do as far as crypto currency is concern. I have realize that, investors try to play smart in the crypto business in that, they begin to dump most tokens to cause a decline in token prices. This will in turn pave way for them to buy more tokens in other for them to hold for long and sell at higher prices when token values shoot up. In spite of this, is long term holding a smart thing to do as a bounty hunter and why?
In my own point of view, long time holding is a smart thing to do because you might have a chance to recieve a huge profit if you wait to its price to increase. Unlike selling it in a low price you will only receive a low profit if you immediately sell your holdings.
480  Economy / Economics / Re: Mistakes That Make You Poor Poor In Cryptocurrency on: July 22, 2018, 01:59:09 PM
With cryptocurrency, you have to be careful with any fraud and theft. and usually many people who are caught in the losses in the world of crypto is:
1. Not Backup Key
2. Electricity Billing Mining More
3. Lunes In Phishing Sites
4. Buy Coin With Rumors
5. Create a weak password
6. Steal With Stealth ICO

With cryptocurrency, no bank or other institution or regulation will protect you in the event of a loss.
The mistake that i have done that makes me poor in cryptocurrency is selling all of my holdings in a low price or panic selling i was so down that tume because i thought that all of my holdings will never increase again. Another mistake is opening phishing websites that cause me to get robbed by hackers.
