461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RDD] Reddcoin The Social Currency [PoSV] Electrum Wallet 1.0.2 on: December 01, 2014, 06:47:22 PM
Anyone have any idea of the month in which social x would be launched?

If I had to guess I would say April 2015, and even then no rise in value. We are seeing a shift in CC m(Look at changetip) RDD just couldn;t fit the bill. RDD loses another round. I put it to rest and moved into better things.

It's pretty obvious that you're bitter so why wasting your time with useless FUD over and over again? Changetip is a centralised service, it's NOT user friendly and you need an account, load a balance and all that crap. And even then you have to pay fees. So cool...

The upcoming tipping platform is nothing like this half-assed attempt at achieving a viable decentralised, free, user friendly AND universal tipping platform STRAIGHT FROM YOUR OWN WALLET without giving control of YOUR money to ANY third party. So please keep the FUD to yourself since it's crystal clear that you are only trolling because you got butt-hurt by who knows what, which is sad.

Good luck with your life, you'll need it.

DD out, don't expect a reply from me.

Having an opinion that differs from you means I am bitter? I only sense bitterness in your post. I am just trying to help people avoid this coin and look at better alternatives that are doing big things. This coins has unfortunately gone stale. I also wish you luck. Smiley

Happy Launch Day Everyone! Any word on distribution schedule?
464  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RDD] Reddcoin The Social Currency [PoSV] Electrum Wallet 1.0.2 on: November 19, 2014, 08:12:15 PM
so what is the ETA of Reddcoin starting to be accepted on social media like facebook and youtube

There is no ETA. Everyone WANTED it to happen. Changetip is the only thing making any headway for tipping on multiple social media.

Why are we stuck at 10-12 sat?

Why is DOGE stuck in the 50-60 range despite being one of the most popular cryptocurrencies? Wink

Don't bet the house on RDD.

Tried to claim my stake and got this msg "That token has not been registered in time. You will need to claim after launch" will I still get the full amount at launch?

Bumping this question

25% reduction if you register your token with in a month of the deadline for phase one. think you need to contact patmaster.

There is no need to contact him. He doesn't have more information than what you just got from kodtycoon.

Why is there a reduction? If I remember correctly I had read the deadline was the 22nd?

  Grin

From which movie that is taken?

Same movie they give away the password to someones NEM wallet.

A supply in the billions was once controversial until it was popularized by Doge, NXT and Ripple.  Now many coins come out with a supply in the billions.   It could very well be the case that a supply in the trillions will work better but we don't know as nobody has taken the initiative to try it.

I think from an international perspective the international monetary supply is around $20 trillion and then derivative, assets and other things do add up to $500 trillion to $1 quadrillion.  So having a NEM supply at 800 - 888 trillion does fit that global scale.

I think it would also work better for tipping.   Doge used to get a lot of interest as people were tipping each other millions of coins but nobody does this anymore because 1 million Doge = $200+ and you aren't going to tip a stranger $200 bucks+.  People don't get as excited over a free 10,000 coins anymore.   This change would mean each stake would get around 250 billion NEM each and that is a lot of tipping millions.  It is a psychological thing but many people like the sound of millions and billions.

I don't think the motivation from anybody here is to cause a riot or a meltdown.  I think we have to remember we are still in the innovation phase.  The user base of this digital currency technology is only 500K-2M people when the internet in 1989 had up to 3 million.  We should always be trying to take every unprecedented initiative we can with the hopes of introducing this technology to more people.  One form of that, I guess, could be "much NEM much wow" where new users are lured in by receiving millions of coins.

Bringing DOGE into this conversation quite frankly, frightens the hell out of me.

Oh wait, bringing NXT and Ripple into this conversation also scares the hell out of me.

I have voted for 8 Billion. I personally don't see much difference between 4 and 8 Billion NEMs and it doesn't matter for me either ways. My vote for 8 was influenced by the idea of making a single NEM of a cheaper value so current and future social network NEM apps/functionalities would operate efficiently with cheaper fuel "transaction fees". These thoughts are from a prespective that NEM will be extremely successful where a single NEM would be more valuable than being used as a transaction fee.

Only a difference of 4,000,000,000 HAHaha Cheesy Cheesy Grin Roll Eyes Tongue

Pat........I have thought about your inflation proposal and agree to a very small and ever fixed rate.

can you organise 2 official polls?

1. 4 or 8 billion coins.
2.  A proposal for ####  rate of inflation. yes/ no

I think we need to organise these 2 official polls to put an end to a lot of argument.

Is this going to delay the launch again?
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM Official Thread - Beta is here/Phase 2 Redemption begins[Updates&Discussion] on: November 06, 2014, 06:00:46 PM
How much does 1 NEMcoin cost in btc ?

1 NEMstake ~ 35K Nxt. 35K Nxt ~ 2BTC. Approximately, cost of 1 NEMcoin is 2 BTC/ 1M = 20 satoshi.

2/1m = 200 satoshis.

or will it be
 2 BTC / 2000 000 = 0.00000100 BTC = 100 satoshi

Wouldn't that be a nice, round number, even hanging on the decimal and SI systems  Smiley

This is only taking account of 1k stake. You should be dividing by 4 in reality

No, 200 satoshi is correct. Multiply this by 4 billion and that gives a marketcap of 4000 btc and places it at number 11 on coinmarketcap. With btc at $340 usd this could be cheap if it turns out to compete with nxt.

Has it been scarved to the stone that NEM will have a maximum of 4 000 000 000 coins ...
or will it be 8 000 000 000 coins.

If the latter option, then 100 satoshi is the correct one. And would it be better?  ...as Buratino mentioned that 200 satoshi is too expensive, when thinking about the ROI.

"NEM will have a maximum of 4 000 000 000 coins, all distributed with the genesis block. Each NEM coin will be divisible to 6 figures (i.e. the smallest amount of NEM is 0.000001 NEM)"

Hi

I reported the whole thing to eBay last night & now they have removed all his auctions & he is now not an eBay member anymore just goes to show it was him...why do a runner within hours of everyone getting on to his case

Dont forget i also posted this address of the place the eBay account was registered to...if anyone does live near this address in the UK then go & knock on his door...that will really put the wind up him if we can actually go & pay him a visit.

here is the address again

25 Whittam Road
Chorley
Lancashire
PR7 3LJ

Sadly Paypal does not cover you for payment made on digital goods so if you did buy them from him you are screwed

Ebay is quick to shut down all sellers from even the silliest of complaints. They always have been known to side with the buyers. You are giving yourself credit when it is not proving anything.

There is a developer for NEXUS claiming to be a co-developer of fluttercoin. Turned out to be a scam. Is there any truth to his affiliation with you guys?

What is wise. Sell a NEMstake or redeem it?

How much NXT will it be worth after launch?  Tongue

thats a good question  Cheesy
how many time remains to redeem Nemstake on AssetExchange?

a good while anyway.

I am too lazy to DL the blockchain on my NXT client again, but are they still trading nemstakes on the AE?

72 hours now and still no refund.

Here is a screenshot of my current Withdrawals/Deposits.

The BTC was automatically refunded by our IDP system to the funding address that it came from. You can clearly see this from the transactions I've posted. If you did not receive the BTC there was an error external to our process.

You've stated you're address is: 1M39vGwEXhM7AoRToxoP5Luq9PT51cfpMY. Funds were not sent to us from this address. According to the blockchain it's not had any use recently at all:
https://blockchain.info/address/1M39vGwEXhM7AoRToxoP5Luq9PT51cfpMY

The only reference we can find about a transaction made to us is found in the address: 1HDtWdzhN1G6d9gKeY2XyhnrJNYPGipSba.

I have not received a refund. I am requesting my refund be sent to the provided address. I am not looking to scam anyone here but the fact is you claim to have sent me a refund, I have not received a refund. Where do we go from here?

I've got ads in my wallet??

This is strictly a Web wallet that runs in a browser? Or am I  missing something..

where on earth do you see adds?

Lol i had ads at the top of the wallet and numerous popup. . I dunno.  I guess the browser or wallet is susceptible to adware?   Is it supposed to run in a browser? Maybe I did something wrong.

Nem needs a browser to run?

LOL. It looks like you installed some bad software while surfing for porn/warez, bro  Kiss

warez, there is a name I haven't heard in a long time.

Did you download winzip?

Win zip?  There was never that option.. just followed the link in the thread. Updated java. Launched through site download provided.  Recently dealt with astromeda.   But thought I had cleared it out completely.  Had some appearance of astromeda as there were hyper links to junk sites directly in the wallet.

If adware or warez. . Can attach itself to the wallet.. we'll isn't this bad?

Can you get a screenshot?
