461  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Back From The Dead? on: September 15, 2019, 10:12:01 PM
It is definitely too early to state that ETH is back. The price is still on the bottom, because 200 bucks for ETH is just silly. Hope the next big update would make things better, because it is slowly time for ETH to raise in price.
After a long the price has touched $190. What we experiencing with ethereum is totally unexpected. No one has expected such a big fall in the value of ethereum while bitcoin is moving better in growth. Right now the entire expectation of users have turned over the update which is getting to be done by the January month 2020. Let's hope something good happens with ethereum paving path for growth of altcoins.
462  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IF Trump via Executive Order Banned Bitcoin, what are consequences if any? on: September 13, 2019, 05:27:14 PM
People always relate bitcoin with unregulated usage and illegal activities. Here Trump too is not an exception. He too states without any perfect data, before giving some negative statement regarding bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies it is always good to analyze whether there is usage of unregulated things and illegal activities even before the existence of bitcoin or cryptocurrency.
463  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: 90% Discount On Buying Bitcoin On KuCoin Exchange on: September 13, 2019, 04:55:42 PM
The KuCoin2ndAnniversary just proved that there's no regret on choosing kucoin as a crypto exchange. The team have done their job well by launching innovative platforms for traders. Now the giveaways and discount on buying btc with a huge discount simply proves how big the community grow, Congratulations kucoin and happy anniversary

More details: https://www.kucoin.com/activity/86

There is nothing good about this.

You need to buy KCS in order to be able to buy bitcoin with that discount.
They are basically paying for you to buy their shitcoin and pump its value.

This is moral and ethically wrong, and also has consequences for KCS holders. Additionally, some questions naturally shows up: is Kucoin really safe? Do they have the liquid to withdrawal all that btc with 90%?

They shouldn't be doing that IMO.
Well said, bitcoin pairing with KCS token gets you with such a discount. Other than this you get discount on the transaction fee when paid with KCS token. This is commonly found with almost every exchange, and this is a better plan to keep the native token get stronger and stronger in the market.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: September 13, 2019, 04:20:07 PM
Back to the England vs Australia test. English team should socre 300+ runs and they will need Smiths wicket if they want to win this match and tie the series. There is a very thin line between Smith and entire English team. This thin line is going to decide if we will have a tie series or Australia to win the series. Either way they are retaining the Ashes though.

I have slight doubt that England will touch 300 since they are 8 wickets down now. Yeah Smith has been a crucial part in every match. Still I expect someone else to score. It's getting quite boring watching same guy scoring everytime.

Again smith alone is taking his team close to the England total of 294. Smith is batting on 75 and is single handed helping his team to a reasonable position against England. England will be hoping to get smith out quickly and get a lead of 100 runs at least.
Also Remember if this match ended in a draw, the Aussie will win the Series 2-1.
This is the most important time for England to plan and take the wicket of Smith. Looking the ongoing situation I believe there is more chances for Australia to reach 250. This is going to be a very close match, if Australia take 250, the pressure will get reflected on the second innings on England. Right now the winning chance for England is found above 60% and this seems to change by the second innings.
465  Economy / Economics / Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency? on: September 13, 2019, 03:17:28 PM
Crypto has a big risk involve if small business enter because the value is not stable. Also it is difficult to sell goods in crypto because not all people know how to use it and also it is not legal in other countries. There's a lot of things to consider in putting up this kind of business.
When it comes to bitcoin acceptance into businesses it is all dependent on the legal support from the respective government. When there is legal support we can make use of it without any fear. Next thing even the consumer who haven't known about it can be advised to use it.

There is more and more small scale businesses into bitcoin acceptance knowing the true growth and the need for advancement. Large scale businesses fear a lot thinking about the volatility, because a small level fluctuations will cause a huge difference in the market revenue. This will indirectly hit their business profile, but this can be overcome when the focus is long term.
466  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At wits end, need help! on: September 13, 2019, 02:21:28 PM
From the statement on the Op, it isn't clear to find which side the problem exists. User is from USA, which confirms that there is not much of restrictions from the banking network. From an exchange support view, surely they'll hear your words as they will not intend to loss even a single user. I believe you get the right help from the support team soon.
467  Economy / Speculation / Re: [2019-09-12] Bobby Lee Suddenly Makes $200,000 BTC Price Prediction on: September 13, 2019, 01:32:08 PM
Something miraculous need to happen with the network to experience the predicted $200k value. This is simply an attempt to promote his service. What he mention doesn't make sense, earlier people aren't aware about the market which helped such persons to make use of them and get the best out of their pockets. Now the awareness keeps people stay away from scams and what's been initiated is an indirect path to trap.
468  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My gambling strategy on: September 12, 2019, 11:59:15 PM
Op might have got success out of this trick, and we cannot expect the same to happen with everyone's game. He also provided with a disclaimer it is risk involved and don't assure cent percent success. This can be tried when there is not much of funds in the wallet. Also, Op might have never got a series of wins through this trick.
469  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IS THERE A REGULATORY BODY on: September 12, 2019, 11:35:24 PM
The supply available to the increased demand due to the rising adoption that is taking place in large scale is the reason for the bull and bear trend. Along with this more factors constitute the growth happen on the positive as well negative direction. There is no regulatory body, which is the success for these assets to move free, else someone could've stopped it from reaching big values as well will restrict the fall beyond certain value.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If You Win Big Will You Remember Your Losses on: September 11, 2019, 10:19:42 PM
No, because the tendency of most gamblers is to gamble more, not minding their loses, all they want is to have more winnings, thats the nature of their addictive endeavour.
This isn't the addictive nature, just because they have lost and thinking of the loss users will try to recover what they've lost in the past. Whether it is big win or small, always the losses will be remembered, and this is a very fine thing about gambling. Maybe if the entire losses were recovered with the big win then they might not think about the losses.
471  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves will replace ethereum on: September 11, 2019, 09:17:16 PM
a lot of good news coming in wavesplatform
in the last few days, waves price growing hardly, even rise more than 100% my friend

is this a sign if waves will be the next ethereum ?

Almost a year now since you posted this but yet never that Wavs get even closer to ethereum price so I think this is a false alarm lol

The only currency that got close to ethereum is Bitcoin cash in which taken the number 2 position from ethereum 3x and Ripple who did multiple exchange position in rank 2 as well

So maybe waves supporter feels failure for now but I believe in waves long term holding because this is one of the most promising crypto
Waves all of the sudden experienced a massive growth with its platform getting used on different projects. This happened during the days of this thread getting opened. As days passed there is no big progress in the waves platform, and the value started to go low regularly. Once it was in the top list of Coinmarketcap and now this has crossed the 50th rank.

Ranking is just a way of numbering based on certain parameters, but what's been compared with waves stands strong at the second position. So, waves is good for long term profiting as described. Right now it is good to make an investment as price is found much low compared to its ath.
472  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling affected your personal reputation? on: September 11, 2019, 08:45:51 PM
It might affect some people's personal life but in my own case, it doesn't affect me in any way because I don't let people know that I do play gambling since it is seen in our society that people who play gambling are people who want quick money without actually working for the money.
Yes, this is the common man's thinking about gambling. Another thing people look us like an addict even though we spend very little time on gambling. Even if we've lost out of our business or something happened people directly relate it with gambling. In simple they say, this was long expected and now it has happened. To avoid such instances it is good to stay hidden.
473  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will There Really Be An Altcoin Season or Just a plot to Keep us in the Loop on: September 11, 2019, 08:26:12 PM

lol well if history really will repeat itself and after all it does happen all the time. a country always has the crisis and keeps getting up so why not in crypto. i've seen it twice already with btc. but it will take a lot of time and patience to run out. don't rely too much to the speculation that it will happen too soon, it may take more than 5 years from now so just relax and find yourself something to do to kill the time.
Agreed, by the time we should also have the better plans for tomorrow. Whether it is bitcoin or altcoins, we move upon trust. Till date one who have believed in the cyclic turnaround of the market has profited out of bitcoin, but it isn't assured with every cryptocurrencies. Here we need to be careful in choosing the right asset for our benefiting, also patience is a must.
474  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and blockchain adoption on: September 11, 2019, 07:52:48 PM
Those are really a good attempt from large scale firms in adopting blockchain technology as well use of bitcoin. In case of Japan it isn't a big thing, because it has been making everything into bitcoin and providing legal support. Among those mentioned HSBC and all could've never thought of such a marvelous technology making their work more effective and adopting the same. Same is with Marshal Islands, the step taken is big. Following this we can expect more small countries to adopt and accept technology based growth.
475  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Promoting BTC via art on: September 11, 2019, 05:59:33 PM

Lincoln Townley, one of the leading British contemporary art figures (called "the new Andy Warhol"), just sold a collection of paintings for 490 BTC. He is accepting Bitcoin for his works since 2017, when he sold a painting for an equivalent of ca. $500 k.
To be honest, this is a great way of promoting BTC to the public.

And if anyone asked - in the picture here: https://imgur.com/dd0giBl you can see some of his paintings combined;).
I don't think this to be a better way of promoting bitcoin. From my understanding he is an individual artist and he has accepted bitcoin for the painting he has done. This seems to be a way to eliminate the taxation on the amount being got for the painting. If the transaction was made in terms of fiat, surely he'll be supposed to pay big Tax, now accepting bitcoin he has benefitted out of it.
476  Economy / Economics / Re: Will BTC defeated in 2019? on: September 09, 2019, 06:19:34 PM
This news indirectly makes Bitcoin stronger in its position in 2019;
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2019/jun/18/libra-facebook-cryptocurrency-new-digital-money-transactions
https://www.forbes.com/sites/michaeldelcastillo/2019/08/27/alibaba-tencent-five-others-to-recieve-first-chinese-government-cryptocurrency/

when talking about cryptocurrency people will think it's Bitcoin, this is the reality on the ground.

so, Bitcoin cannot be defeated, Bitcoin will always dominate the place even though new cryptocurrency continues to emerge.

The bitcoin dominance stands high close to 70% which itself confirms the growth it has attained compared to the altcoins. Over the past few days the dominance level gradually decreased a little, and by that time there is small growth in altcoins. This means there is small flow of investment from bitcoin to altcoins. However it is hard to make the growth get defeated by altcoins, the prediction for the year is to reach a new ath or reach around $7000.
477  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain developers hiring trends on: September 09, 2019, 05:20:39 PM
That is truly an informative post users who have been with plans of becoming a blockchain developer will know the opportunities that are available globally. This will also give some positive energy to work hard to be one among the blockchain developers working for the top companies. Even with the job search portals we can see lot of requirements for blockchain development.
478  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any bounty like this on: September 09, 2019, 04:51:56 PM
Bounty too is a lucky hunt, because there are users who have made themselves rich out of the bounty participation. We research and filter few bounty projects to be worth, but what we predict and what happens at the end will be directly in the opposite direction. This way it is always good to find thyself the right bounty and participate than depending on others choice. Surely there will be altcoins season, one who holds the bounty rewards until then will surely get the best by that time.
479  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did fear cause that sharp dump? on: September 09, 2019, 04:24:34 PM
Cryptocurrency market is manipulative, and this is where the fear gets its importance. Earlier some kind of hack and other ways of negative news creates panic among the common users. This directly gets reflected on the market, and now the scenario has changed as people were aware about it. These days the real Satoshi issue is getting rolled and much into discussion, and someone is trying to benefit out of the same. Good is to just ignore and keep focused on the market moves.
480  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoinMarketCap faking volume on: September 09, 2019, 03:56:18 PM
Fake volume issues with exchanges were the one that made the cryptocurrency market experience a massive downtrend. This happened when the Bank of China made an inspection over the entire exchanges. This took place as a result of China experience some downfall in the economy. Once after the same things got regulated and growth took place gradually. Now once again there is more issues getting exposed over coinmarketcap. Recently they made an update to eliminate the same from their side.
