4741  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CANDYSTRIPES STOLE MY ACCOUNT "CONVICTED2008" on: February 12, 2015, 04:26:36 PM
First of all you know what, I don't give a fuck if you believe me or not I did not do this. 2nd of all there is 0 that's right 0 proposed deals. You show me 1 proposed deal that's "fishy". And as for logging back into the convicted2008 account, that's right u fucking retard I told u I couldn't. They changed the goddamn password AND email on the account. But like I said I don't give 2 shits if you believe me or not. I've never cheated 1 person on bitcointalk or anywhere else for that matter. With the attitude u got I hope and pray whoever was trying to scam u does. I hope they take u for everything they can. All I asked for was the benefit of the doubt while I tried to get some sort of record that I wasn't involved in this. Now you and ur flunkies keep degrading my trust. Go right ahead. I don't care NOR do I blame u. Its not me on the convicted2008 account and I'm glad nobody will associate with whoever has control of the account now.

Now you have lost the control of your account, try to request theymos if he can recover it and open a thread (in the Meta section) to inform the community that your forum account "was hacked".

Good luck.
4742  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 12, 2015, 03:12:49 PM
This thread is dead. We need some action. Please price, move !!!!

Maybe ask for a pump and prepare 340-400 mln of dollars , and the price will "move"  // Sarcasm.
4743  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie Jail Needed at the earliest on: February 12, 2015, 01:45:26 PM
I agree with the OP, but I think the newbie jail will not come back . . .
4744  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will BTC again reach 400$+ on: February 12, 2015, 01:31:01 PM
This thread should be moved in the speculation section.
4745  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Blockchain vs Electrum on: February 12, 2015, 01:01:38 PM
@viking02, Can you please edit the title of thread? Maybe it is better " Blockchain.info vs Electrum".

Thanks for the attention.
4746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to hide your bitcoin? on: February 12, 2015, 12:43:37 PM
Suppose I want to share my public key for donations, but the problem is everyone can see how many btc I have. Suppose I create a second account for donations but now people can see where all the btc goes from there and cunclude it's my account. How to share a public key and still hide my savings?

You can use a "mixer" or send the bitcoin to an exchange and after withdraw them (quickly) to another your bitcoin address.
4747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $25,000 in Bitcoin Seized from Alleged Software Scam Operator on: February 12, 2015, 12:19:36 PM
I just wonder what will happen with that cryptos? Police is going to use it somehow? You can't just put back bitcoin into circulation... Any thoughts?
They will probably sell them in a similar way that the Silk Road bitcoin was sold, via auction

edit: I would think you would probably get a better deal on these auctions because they are less publicized

Exactly, they will sell them as always via auction. This time it is not a large quantity of coin, but it is always "money" (25k dollars).

4749  Other / New forum software / Re: New forum? on: February 12, 2015, 11:04:35 AM
Actually we're using foundations. Bootstrap is awesome but a little to recognizable and a little hard to customize. As for the editor, we built our own since most other editors don't support BBCode.

i don't know foundation..
framework...
but i google a few and it seems really well done and very used!!!!
can you give me sone website developed with this framework?

many thanks!!!

http://foundation.zurb.com/

It you go to their site above, toward the bottom of the page you can see the high profile companies that use foundation. Some notable examples are mozilla, National Geographic, and the washington post. It's a little bit harder to pinpoint any specific site because foundation is so customizable that most times you won't even recognize a site is using it unless you open up the dev console and poke around. Usually with Bootstap, you'll land on a site and immediately know they are using it.

Hey taesup ,

can you "upload" the betaForum and give us the link  "view-only" so we can see how the new forum software will be ?  Thanks.
4750  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 20MB Fork on: February 12, 2015, 10:51:51 AM
So we get to 140 tps...
What happens if we reach that in say 5 years... Another hard fork?
I just don't think changing it like this is a smart way of dealing with the issue, why not a dynamic size that scales with the network as some other coins do...?

Now I think the hardfork isn't necessary (I've read a lot of article, topics). The 1 MB blocksize is necessary to keep the coin decentralized (more & more people save the blockchain on their PC) and bitcoin will stay a valid an great alternative to the current economy system in the next few years. For example if someone want to send money to his relatives in another country/nation, in this case bitcoin can help (because the fees are lower than moneygram, western union, bank transfer, etc...) and the 7 tps  aren't a real problem.

maybe other people want to do other people with btc than transaction money to another country?
why dont you let them use it just as a currency - which it is designed for btw.

Yes of course, but bitcoin is not only a currency. It is an alternative "way" for send a large quantity of money and pay lower fee, and after a currency (like € , $ , etc....) .

How a ponzi can be "provably fair"? @OP are you kidding or are you serious? I'm very tired of all these ponzi scheme, that's insane and ruining the "bitcoin" image (and obviously the forum image).

4754  Other / Meta / Re: How to get an "Avatar" on: February 12, 2015, 07:50:17 AM
First find some ASCII art of whatever you want to be your avatar.

-snip-

Which you are able to put into your signature, thus getting you an avatar. You're welcome!

Thanks for sharing the trick.

Would this work with 'Personal Message' or 'Location' field?
I don't want to mess up my signature space and also it would be cool to have the avatar under username rather than under my posts.

No you can put in your personal message only a cert number of characters , and obviously the bbcode tag  will not function.

4757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Does Bitcoin Need? on: February 12, 2015, 06:33:45 AM
Adoption. We need more people to use Bitcoin. However, to do that, we need a faster confirmation time.

A fast confirmation isn't possible without a third party ( like greenAddress, it has an "instant confirm" function).
For me bitcoin should only remain decentralized, and maybe in the future will be a good alternative for a lot of people.
4758  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was that the bottom ? on: February 12, 2015, 06:11:35 AM
I don't understand 'the bottom is zero', I hear it quite often. Yes its true the real actual bottom it could ever be is zero, so the top is infinity too by similar logic. Price is bound between zero and infinity by laws of maths.

By bottom I mean the bottom of this current bear trend originating from the all time high before it starts rising again unless you think this time it is on a death spiral to its ultimate demise

Oh well, in this case (my personal opinion) the new bottom will be  $ 120-130 . If the price go lower than $ 120 it will be a "catastrophe".
4759  Other / Meta / Re: Martin Lawrence Investments LLC vs bitcointalk.org., Case No.B7158590126-2 on: February 12, 2015, 06:01:48 AM
This is a new level of Ponzi schemes, awesome! The idea of a payments to a vanity address is fantastic .
For some reason I doubt you have read the thread. The OP is asking theymos to pay a crazy sum because the OP's account was banned.

The OP previously started a ponzi called Vod Ponzi that was dealing in bitcointalk accounts

No no I know the story , my (it) was only a sarcasm.
4760  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Convicted2008 is an alt of CandyStripes on: February 12, 2015, 05:59:52 AM
Thanks for the report Quickseller, I've left him a negative feedback (if he prove that he isn't an altaccount of a scammer I'll remove it).
