481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 10, 2017, 09:24:24 PM
It's a big time frame between end of ICO and alpha release, let's say beta in Q3 and release in Q4? Btw a mobile app is too important, in these days people use smartphones and tablets way more then computers

Yes its quite some time between the end of the ICO and the alpha release in Q2 2018 but keep in mind that it takes time and money to develop such an alpha. They probably depend on the money raised in the ICO for further development and to hire new team members.

Not only that, besides actually developing a product, they will have to do a lot of networking. Get landlords interested in the platform enough to list their properties and then market it to people looking to rent. I don;t mind them taking some time for this, those things simply take time if you do it right.

Reading up a lot about Paragon ICO in the news. Good job guys.
Marketing will be everything for this project to accomplish success. We move a step forward to the legalisation of weed.

They have clearly shown to be very good at marketing. Snagging a big rapper like The Game to promote the Paragon ICO several times on Twitter. This alone makes it a good idea to invest into the ICO. Big hype/good marketing surrounding a token/coin equals great value for flipping after the ICO and bigger changes of the coin coming to bigger exchanges.
483  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EventChain SmartTickets - Stopping Excessive Ticket Fees on: September 10, 2017, 09:16:40 PM
In the interest of making the ticket purchasing as easy as possible for the average Joe, will there be an easy system to just buy the exact amount of EVC needed via an already existing payment method like a credit card? So that the average Joe doesn't have to jump through a lot of hoops to buy EVC.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | PARAGON | Revolutionizing the Cannabis Industry | on: September 10, 2017, 06:57:31 PM
We've talked about 60 pages about the legal status and health effects of cannabis, but we've barely discussed Paragon's business model. Paragon's main activity is renting out real estate to cannabis businesses. Shouldn't we be more concerned about the financial side of that activity?

Which aspects do you have in mind?

Renting out real estate isn't their only activity as i see it. It is also legal advice/consulting, marketing, research, offering the technology to track the entire supply chain of Cannabis. If you want to boil it down, it is everything the Cannabis industry needs to become a professional legal product.

486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] EventChain SmartTickets - Stopping Excessive Ticket Fees on: September 10, 2017, 12:36:39 PM
I have seen a few of these similar ICOs. How would you compare yourself to your competitors?

What really set most similar ICOs apart, is the ability of the dev team to deliver on the proposed idea. Whichever team an investor feels the most comfortable with, should be the one, they entrust their hard earned money with.

Exactly, that's why i only invest in ICO's who already have an alpha/beta product. The alpha of EventChain gives you a good idea of when the possibilities are so i have faith in the team and mission. Although one aspect i think they will have trouble with is resale of tickets. I know that reselling tickets for a big price increase is very annoying, and i wish you could stop it, but even with blockchain technology i think this will be hard. Even if you set a max resale price, people can just ask for additional payments on another crypto adres. Supply and demand will always find a way.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 10, 2017, 12:29:43 PM
One thing that worries me is how you are going to attract people to list their real estate on the platform and also to bid for them. You will need a big base of people participating in biding   in different countries.

If they focus on markets/cities where there is a shortage of housing first, then it should not be a big problem. So i would assume big cities is a good place to start. The auction model is also very well suited for markets where there is a shortage of housing. This will also make it easier for marketing, you only have to focus a smaller market first instead of globally or a whole country. Once that succeeds, you can expand.
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🚀 [ANN][ICO] PAYPIE 🌟🌟🚀 World’s First Blockchain Accounting Platform on: September 10, 2017, 12:26:21 PM
Paypie Team had been very busy at the event. There was a lot of interest in the blockchain accounting and how we will be using it to solve real life business problems. Everyone was very excited to see this coming.

Great news guys! I hope that you will meet some big whale who will invest in paypie as an institutional investor?
realy great news, show us some more photos, and contact a lot of whales investors...
I dont think whales investors are good for any ico as they dump when they see good price.More investors is better than few whales

Not really, whales always win, and if you act with whales, then you will win also.

And if project is a success new whales will acquire dumper whales coins.

If project is going bad, whales will dump and no new whale will be there.

So as long as project is going good, don't need to worry about whales.
I think you can neither invite nor prevent from whales to invest.Usually whales also prefer to invest during pre-ico or presale so they get better price. Also if whales do not invest in ico, they can buy in exchange and again dump when price goes  up from at what price they bought.I think looking at the potential of this ico, institutional investors would be more interested to buy in and that would be good for Paypie small investors also

You can't prevent them from investing, but you can put a personal cap on each investment. That way a whale won;t be able to invest more then your average Joe. But from the business perspective, that is not always a good idea. The backing of a big investor brings some advantages with it. As long as you don't let them scoop up ALL tokens Smiley
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] VIBEHub | Crypto Based Virtual Reality Marketplaces & Hubs on: September 10, 2017, 12:23:46 PM
I think I read the VIBEHub wants to buy the holoportation technique from Microsoft. Has anyone found anything about pricing and their licensing scheme? Maybe Microsoft will license it for free, but provided you use the Hololens. I'm not really sure which way Microsoft wants to go with AR. Do they want to profit on the software side or on the hardware side?

As far as i know, right now the Hololens hardware is only being sold to big companies who have actual use for it. For hardware, Vibehub (as i understand it) will focus mainly on the VR headsets that are more readily available to consumers now, so Oculus, HTC Vive, and i think PS VR as well. I'm hoping they add Google Daydream after that since that would help mass adoption.

Microsoft would be very stupid if they didn't license the holoportation technology, so i think we can pretty much guarantee that it will (in one form or the other) work on other VR headsets in the future. Of course that depends on compatibility as well. But by the time Microsoft has perfected this technology i think we will be quit a few years down the road and there will probably be second generations of Oculus, Vive, etc. Those might even already have similar techniques.
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | PARAGON | Revolutionizing the Cannabis Industry | on: September 10, 2017, 12:17:55 PM
I have been researching on,''Paragon and IOTA recently announced a partnership aimed at creating a transparent and verifiable database to help the cannabis industry change the world''
Nothing official as far as I know, but I believe it is an important advance for paragon, to count on the support of those already in the crypto market. Although I believe that Iota would benefit much more in this partnership than Paragon, they are stagnant and seeking a starter hook. Paragon resonates a lot and that interests them. but it is mutual benefit.  Wink
You wouldn't be any chance, have a link to the article, or announcement of the partnership, would you? I've never heard of Iota, can you explain what, and or who it is? If they're partnering up with Paragon, I guess that's a good thing, right?

You can find more details in: https://www.reddit.com/r/Iota/comments/6uxipy/iota_paragoncoin_david_s%C3%B8nsteb%C3%B8_jessica_versteeg/

In short, IOTA is a top 10 crypto marketcapwise, so the fact that Paragon is working with them is a big upside in my opinion. IOTA doesn't use blockchain, but a new technology called Tangle, you can look up the details of that yourself. But in regards to Paragon it offers a very quick and secure way to log the entire supply chain of Cannabis, who grew it, where, what fertilizer did they use, everything. This is very important for one of the sectors that Paragon is targeting, medical and research of Cannabis.

Think about how in America the FDA (food and drug administration) needs to approve new products and drugs before they declare them safe to use. You won't be able to do this with Cannabis unless you have hard evidence that you are delivering a safe and high quality product. Paragon will be able to offer this with the use of IOTA's Tangle.
491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 10, 2017, 10:00:47 AM
Im guessing it will be tricky to pay in REST tokens since the value will probably be changing constantly. The contract will have to be pretty flexible.

I feel the need to bump this question. cos it's quite vital

Could be that the tokens are automatically converted in fiat at point of purchase. so the price is 100USD and you pay whatever amount of rest that adds up to that.

There is two logical way to do it in my opinion.

First they can take offers in fiat but when purchasing just make the conversion and use rest token. For example 100$ offer, offer accepted, price at that moment 2$ for a rest, so pay 50 rest.

Second when they get offer, they equalise with fiat. For example 2$ rest token and offered 50 rest. At that moment they stabilise the 100$ price and after they won, if rest price is 4$, then they just ask for payment 25 rest.

I agree that it is important they find a good system for this in order to make it accessible and easy to use for your average joe. But they have already answered those questions party. People using the platform can choose to pay in fiat, but using REST will give them benefits/discount. So i hope the platform will offer a way to instantly exchange your fiat into REST. So you choose to bid 100$, it gets transferred into REST for you and the bid will be done in REST.

493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] | PARAGON | Revolutionizing the Cannabis Industry | on: September 09, 2017, 09:42:04 PM
The use of PARAGON should be that it stores all the information regarding a patient in an immutable database, a Blockchain. (Doctor Certification, Doctor Prescription, ...).

Now that you mention it. Has no-one commented that there may be privacy laws not allowing medical data to be shared with 3rd parties? In fact it's difficult to realize a medical database in the first place.

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/jul/06/nhs-to-scrap-single-database-of-patients-medical-details

Not all laws are the same per country. Besides that, if only part the medical history that is relevant to the Cannabis use is prescribed, its a different story then somebodies ENTIRE medical history. It might be as simple as letting the consumer sign a waver.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 09, 2017, 09:38:21 PM
Once the platform is complete, will you focus your marketing on specific cities? Getting adoption worldwide will be quite a challenge i think, even if the platform offers several benefits. Focusing on certain cities where there is a high demand for housing, might be best in my opinion.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Relest - first real estate rental AUCTION platform, September 18 on: September 09, 2017, 04:53:02 PM
So if i understand it correctly, once a person looking for a house has won a bid on your platform, he will get into contact with the landlord. But will the person renting the property also be paying rent in REST tokens from there on out? Is this correct? And if so, will there be an easy way for average joe's to turn their fiat into REST and pay the rent? Thanks in advance.

On a side-note, i like the slider on the website that shows what you do with the funds based on the amount raised. I really think more ICO's should do this to clarify what exactly is being done with all the money that is raised.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] VIBEHub | Crypto Based Virtual Reality Marketplaces & Hubs on: September 09, 2017, 10:39:20 AM
What will be your monetization source?
WIll you take any fee from creator or audience?

We go into how we will monetize in our whitepaper, we have 4 revenue streams. Taking a percentage of income generated from live streams, charging for our digital assets, VR advertisements and charging fees to other platforms who want to be on VibeHub

I hope the VR advertisement is optional and can be turned of for something like a higher fee. Where i think Vibehub has most potential is the educational sector and advertisement would kinda kill that Smiley
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🌟🌟🚀 [ANN][ICO] PAYPIE 🌟🌟🚀 World’s First Blockchain Accounting Platform on: September 09, 2017, 10:35:33 AM
Companies are often confronted with what might be called the biggest obsession of the dirrigigants: the late payment of customers. this is the major problem of the companies and as the banks do not have an updated visu of the finances, the companies refuse to lend their money, which can have disastrous consequences for the balance sheet of the companies. Thanks to paypie now there is a limpidity in the accounts of the companies and the banks are assured that the accounts are not hacked and can lend money in case of delayed payment.

I agree that the services offered by PayPie can be incredibly valuable. What i'd like to see more is big companies who maybe already expressed interest in using the platform, or PayPie already marketing their platform to potential clients. Especially the big companies can be hard to convince to use a new system so starting early with this will be a key to adoption and success.

I saw a mention of them going to an event, i hope they will do a lot of networking and be able to make some announcements.

Just checked you guys out because I love real estate ICO's! One thing that immediately peaked my interest is that 70% of the tokens are sold during the token sale, pretty nice I think. I will be checking out the details of your platform and watching this thread. Good luck to the team!

I have heard that Jessica VerSteeg was a model before. Maybe she is a bit unexperienced, Dont u think?
Yes she was. But dont forget that she also a Founder and CEO of Aubox. Dont underestimate people

She ran her own Cannabis company AUbox. Also read her statements on https://www.reddit.com/r/Iota/comments/6uxipy/iota_paragoncoin_david_s%C3%B8nsteb%C3%B8_jessica_versteeg/ Seems like quite a smart person to me
