What is the likelihood of "Canadian"guy being VE? VE sends 0.5BTC to himself because he saw this mystical machine via PM. Seems legit.
483  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [VMC] Official Virtual Mining Corporation Discussion on: December 17, 2013, 04:26:12 PM
*shrug* I'm looking at it right now.  I know I'm not dreamin..

Interesting seems we both have things the other doesn’t. You seem to have a a VMC mining rig, whilst I just seem to have proof. Interesting how things work on the internet.

Pony up the 1 BTC to see this machine! It's like a sideshow at the carnival!
484  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: December 17, 2013, 04:05:53 PM
I put in an order several months ago for one of their fast hash platinum, ended up wiring little over $9,000. Pretty much after that they've gone silent. I tried to get several updates from them to see the status of the shipping, get assurances of delivery and nothing. Then out of luck i was able to get someone from sales on the phone sometime around thanksgiving weekend. They told me over the phone that they were going to have issues delivering on time as they were still in the manufacturing process.

At this point my first thought was well 1.5Terahash for nine grand isn’t going to make its ROI efficiently based on the current difficulty rate so I asked for a refund. They said yes to the refund but it's been well about 3 weeks since that, no one is answering my emails or tickets, no one answers the phone either (call screening maybe), but since then its been impossible. I am worried this might be a scam since they haven’t shipped, no one has seen their hardware (except from some press releases). And they don’t seem to be honouring their praised and very advertized refund policy either.

I find it hard to believe it takes 3 weeks to get a wire transfer setup to refund the money that was easily sent to them via the same method in around 2 days time when I purchased the order. I am happy to provide proof and transcripts.

I've received my machine, and pumping out about 2.5 bitcoins a day.  Someone tried talking me into taking a 0.1BTC bounty for proof of photos but I really don't care that much to prove it to anyone. Raise the bounty to 1BTC and I'll get off my couch.  You will probably get that refund once your machine has been put to work for awhile by vmc (your refund has to come from somewhere right?).  Be patient..

Make him get off his couch Pankkake!

I suspect we will see much more transparency soon  Wink

Nice video, Alex and the KnC team are good guys. About to jump on a plane back home from the Vegas bitcoin convention. A lot of missed opportunities for ActM. Par for the course I suppose.
487  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 08, 2013, 10:27:42 PM
Yeah me too.  I'm trying to make sense of it.  Could be the pressure he's under with people stalking his family, the death threats and never ending abuse he get's from this thread.  Oh, and the fact he's human.

Not an excuse. If I could sell my shares I would have sold them all straight after reading that thread. That was thoroughly unimpressive for someone running a multi-million dollar enterprise.

Agreed 100%,

Along with other things said in that IRC.

It is sad that people think this type of sarcasm is acceptable and make an excuse for it. It is not acceptable and everytime he has does something similar in the past, he has deleted the post.

I cannot even imagine what would have to come over someone to even jest about that regarding their business to shareholders/investors when the tone is so serious (even if it wasn't...)

How unfortunate.

On the other hand who vetted that this was actually Ken?
488  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 08, 2013, 07:49:14 PM
The problem you've always had E-Bob is that your posts are aggressive, hostile, insulting intelligent, insightful, hold ken accountable and fueled by your own ego logic, so the more of your posts that get deleted the better worse.

FTFY

Keep posting EskimoBob, limit the ad hominem attacks though.

I'm trying to figure this one out.

You guys want to sell your bonds but also want Lab Rat to pay dividends going forward with zero delay.

If you sell your bonds this would be a non issue right >.>

I guess we should be thanking you for the community service you are doing then!
490  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 07, 2013, 11:55:35 PM
Guys I think arguing about who wants cheap shares or not is besides the point. There is no one to buy.

Dude you probably just want cheap shares too  Undecided

I would like to sell a couple and get some money back finally, But I can't bring myself to let them go for anything under .015.  I'm just saying we need buyers to realize a fair price and it might be a couple weeks before people start to look to the btc stock markets again.

I was being sarcastic, sorry  Sad

Maybe that's why Ken wants Bargraphics to come out in January to see what's been done to the place?

To clarify, it is I who wanted to come out there to see what's been done to the place/operation.

Ken has cryptically said that there would be something to see. He did not hint at one way or the other so don't go theorizing if it will be anything to see of value but I'm optimistic.

493  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 07, 2013, 02:37:35 PM
Ken,

I want to say first, thank you for the work you are doing for the company and your resolve in operating in such a competitive environment and with so much at stake.

For the past several hours, many of the top shareholders have met in IRC and discussed the "communication issue" as we see it. We have received sporadic communication from you for various reasons having to do with operating under an NDA as well as SEC guidelines. We also understand the desire to keep certain proprietary information hidden from competitors.

Due to communication being so tight, we are in a position where we do not currently KNOW why chips are delayed. It was implied that this was a choice made by you so that Intellihash could be implemented. We believe that competing effectively is necessary for AMC's success, however we have no information as to how Intellihash affects our timeline.

While we are not yet listed on an exchange, we are making a public request that you assent to not sell any of your personal ACTM shares until it can be verified that customers have received their shipped orders and until shareholders have a more clear understanding of the timeline moving forward.

This is simply a request to demonstrate good-faith and help re-establish trust among shareholders.

Please respond to this before we go live on Crypto-Trade.

Thank you for everything and keep up the great work!

 -- ActiveMining shareholders

Before just blindly +1'ing this.

Is there any way we can prove Ken would do this even if agreed?

If it cannot be proven without a doubt then it's worthless. Not saying he will but he could just agree and then do as he pleases regardless without any of us knowing.

There has to be some kind of accountability else this is just an empty promise.
494  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: December 07, 2013, 02:34:15 AM
Can someone respond to my question about the temperature readout shown in the mining software? Is it the hottest sensor on the board or a specific sensor?
Hottest of the ASICs.

hrm ok.... then I have an oddball chili somewhere =( in a really cold room, most of them run 55C or less.... but I have one that sticks out like a soar thumb at 65-66C in same temp.

Do you know if the devices are mapped correctly in bfgminer? like if I disable the hot one and look for the one w/o the "working" leds blinking...that should be the one?

Or is mapping incorrect just like how it was for GPU's...

Maybe that Chili has a chip that sits too low and isn't getting good contact with the cooler?

Perhaps, I just hoping the bfgminer mapping is correct and Im actually dealing w/ the right chili =P guess one way to tell is unplug all but the one it "thinks" is running hot and verify it is indeed that one. Yeah, thats what Ill do =)
Then Ill just reseat that heatsink...see if can get better results.

Easiest way is to go into bfgminer and disable that chili and then play find the chili with no leds flashing Smiley

disable by pressing m and using the arrow keys to the correct chili and then press d and enter i believe

I see a box of fans in the corner and gear on the racks to the left....... moar! moar!

You don't see the BFL minirig? Tongue
496  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 07, 2013, 12:14:52 AM
guys, Ken wants to keep everything a secret so that Cointerra doesn't get any hints on how to run a business:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=359084.0

make sure cointerra stays away from Kens office, we wouldn't want to give away any vital information!

lol, so strange and sad.
497  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 06, 2013, 09:28:01 PM
Good grief, this thread (and tbh, this entire forum) makes it impossible to find actual updates. Maybe someone should start a self moderated thread? Oh wait.

Seriously though. It's getting outrageous having to wade through the 60,000 posts of irrelevant bullshit to get to any sort of substantial posts.

The worst is when you haven't checked in for a couple days, and see like 20 new pages have been added, and hope that its finally news on shipping or sales, but instead its just an argument, followed by pictures speculating on crumbs' cats.

Very nice :-) Looking forward to see those racks filled with equipment as well ;-)

Couple of days ago I stumbled upon a very impressive bitcoin mining data center in china. Take a look:

You mean ASICMiner >.>
499  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: December 06, 2013, 07:26:01 PM

This is what the 34 I have going look like now.

It's about ~80F in the server room. Unfortunately not worth the hassle to get it colder.

There's a couple slow guys that I should probably redo the heatsinks on but these the stats after 4 days of running continuously.
