481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 10, 2024, 05:46:42 PM
United will be playing Villa, that will be a tough game. United has been not so great this season so far, and they really need a win, Villa has been unexpectedly good as well and they look like they could keep their position. This is why it's a much more important game for United, hopefully they will get the win they want, it has to be a win for them to keep trying.

There are scenarios where the sixth team still goes to Europe, but it's really not idea for them, they need to do a lot better. This does look like a very unlikely situation for United, not like they can be fourth, but it would make it easier if they win Villa, who is fourth right now. They would at least get a little bit closer there and have a chance.
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling for fun vs gambling for the financial benefit. on: February 10, 2024, 01:50:43 PM
Financial benefit part means that you think you could benefit from it, but the reality is that we have seen way too many people who have ended up with nothing all that crazy from gambling. If there are so many people who make money from gambling , where are they? I have seen millions of people gamble around the world, and I have seen only a few dozen that made enough to live, I do not think that it would make sense for them to keep it going.

All in all it is not going to be all that easy, but let them be, it would make sense to just let people make their own decision. If people want to gamble for fun then let them gamble for fun if they want to gamble for money then let them do that too, it is their money they can do whatever they want with it.

From what I understand, Horner didn't do anything regarding that type of sexual in nature stuff, it is just "controlling" that was discussed. That is a broad term but has nothing to do with sexual allegations because if that was the case then they would just say that.

This could be anything from "you can't take a sick day" to "you have to answer my emails within an hour", it's a boss thing, he just had a controlling relationship, basically what we call "mobbing" in the work place. I wouldn't be shocked to learn Horner did mobbing, that is normal in the business world unfortunately and people who are that much at the top think that they are gods, that can't be questioned, and this could be the main reason why all of this started.

I mean I do agree that website doesn't "look" like a website that is a multi-million dollar company website, and it is basically give or take the same design as what it was 10 years ago, with only a few minor changes, I do agree that it needs an overhaul of design changes.
Yes, it's a little strange that they give away so much money in rewards and jackpots but you can't feel that on their website. Their website needs a serious update but probably it's part of their strategy to leave freebitco as it is and as it was years ago to attract nostalgic users. Also, as far as I know, they have other projects (dplay.casino as I am aware) where they build new and innovative gambling platform.
I mean if it is not broken why fix it right? Cheesy This website may look not so great, and I agree that it definitely needs a graphics overhaul, their UI is from another century, it looks like it was made with first html/css combo in the 90's, however at the same time it is one of the biggest crypto websites ever.

You are right that they have other websites and those websites are probably doing fine, and they have fun token as well which is not only here and is working in other places as well so it must be bringing in some cash however, I think nothing makes as much money as this one does, hence I am not entirely sure if that's the case. I think it's quite important to realize that you could just chalk it up to the fact that everyone still loves and uses it this way so they never felt need to change it.
485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 09, 2024, 08:04:33 PM
Oladipo has faced a lot of struggle with injuries and that is one of the reasons why he was finally let go. I mean when he was young, even with some injuries, you would still take some risk with him because if he gets healed and comes back and plays well then he would worth every penny, but when you are talking about a player that is getting older now, and still dealing with a lot of injuries then it doesn't really look like anything that would mean something. That's the most important part and I feel like it would make sense to let him go.

Oladipo was amazing when he played, but the fact is that he didn't play much, go back and check his history and you will see that he didn't get as much time as he would like to, or teams would like to.
486  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin [BTC] Price Could Reach $1.5 Million by 2030 Says Cathie Wood on: February 09, 2024, 11:02:34 AM
it is very possible because what seems impossible now can seem very possible in the future. in 2030 maybe we will go through 2 or 3 bullish periods, and the limited total supply of bitcoin makes the price of bitcoin very high in the future. Maybe some people think it's impossible to reach $1 million in 7 years, but I'm sure everyone believes that the price of Bitcoin will continue to increase over time.
there are just one after this bullish effect of halving till 2030 , means if ever we go to the
process of each multiplying the former ATH i think we could only assume having 300k at least in 2030 .

So lets not expect too much but instead do our part to make the market growing to how much we wanted.
300K at 2030 doesn't really seem like good enough if you ask me, I am not saying that 1.5 million is reasonable neither, but it also doesn't mean it makes sense neither. I think it is quite clear that we are not going to end up with any good result anytime soon, it has to be something a little bit different.

Somewhere around 500 to 700 thousand dollars would be a lot more likely if you ask me, that would be two bull runs so I think that would make sense, something like 200k or so for this bull run, and maybe 500k for the next one could make sense, it could actually be reasonable to reach it at that point. I know many people think that we should consider it a lot more different, but I do see that as a good benefit without a doubt.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 08, 2024, 08:46:35 PM
Siakam to Pacers seems to be the biggest trade for me. I mean maybe I haven't seen anything bigger, but that looks like a good one for the Pacers. They only gave up a few players and some picks, but Siakam should be able to contribute a lot more to them.

Considering they are already sixth seed, it feels like we are talking about something that may not be all that hard to handle for them to get higher, if Siakam fits the system and they work well together, they should definitely find themselves at a higher level. With Embiid gone, I think sixers are gone too, so Celtics are the only ones that have a shot, and with Doc Rivers, bucks looks worse too hence why I think Pacers may actually have a slight chance if Siakam deal works.
488  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent have you hated yourself due to your gambling losses? on: February 08, 2024, 08:45:33 AM
Hated is a strong word, thankfully I never hated myself for gambling, I mean if we are talking about just gambling, otherwise I do end up hating myself everyday lol. But when we are talking about just gambling, I do not gamble all that much to hate myself.

The worst situation was losing just a bit of money, something I really needed that's true, but in grand scheme of things, it wasn't really half of my salary, I have never lost that much, so when you do not lose even half of your monthly income, you lose less than that, it means no matter how much you needed that money, you end up recovering. This was of course like ten years ago or so, which means that it has no valid feelings left about that one anymore. Be careful, bet small.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you make gambling a profession - a full time job on: February 08, 2024, 08:06:21 AM
Following your sentiment, there's no assurance that you can win in every play that you participate, chances of losing is always on your back and even how many times you manage to win there's always a bad day for you, though if you can control yourself and you can manage your emotion which is for sure that only a small percentage of gamblers can, there's always a possibility that you will lose your control and also suffer from big defeats.

As a career maybe it's only few person can deal with it, most might have other things or other alternative aside from gambling that can give them enough financial needs in case they lose in gambling.
The fact that people do not realize that the losing streak possibility becoming major when they gamble more is the problem. If you want to make it a "profession" then you need to gamble a lot, this isn't really about getting lucky once, it is about the fact that we are talking about something that would be a big situation, and this is why I think it has to be something that would not be all that easy.

I hope that the best thing to do would be nothing too worried, and that has to be the situation. I think we are going to end up with a trouble if we are not careful. So all in all we need to end up with a situation that will not be all that easy, so all in all do not gamble professional because most likely that you are going to lose.
490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 08, 2024, 06:21:41 AM
I'm happy and at the same time disappointed for the player, his management and Girona. Even if they're both both clubs are from same parent group. Girona right now has more pressing matters to attend too in the hunt and chase of the La Liga Competition ( Tittle ) and this i believe is the best and fastest way to distract a player from his goals at hand.

Great deal I'll say, he'll and everyother person would want to work with Josep Pep Guardiola but, this shouldn't have been done now, I'm disappointed with the agents most importantly.
But as much as that's what the player wants, Good for him then. Godspeed in the next phase of his life!
This is not happening now, this transfer is only to secure Savio to Manchester City and he will go to the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season. So, Savio will still be under the tutelage of coach Michel at Girona until this season ends. It seems that any player certainly wants to get a career advancement and when there is a big team that wants to take his talent, this should be a brilliant career and that is what Savio will feel later.

Moreover, Savio will be in the most competitive league, namely the EPL and of course he will gain more experience facing players and teams that are almost as strong each season. Moreover, the guarantee of a title with Manchester City is also in the palm of his hand when he joins Manchester City next season. Girona can't do anything about losing him and they must immediately look for a replacement in the next summer transfer window.
I mean why wouldn't you want to play for more money, that alone should be good enough that we are going to end up thinking about. I think the more money part is enough for him to make an easy choice, but also the fact that he would be moving to one of the biggest clubs in the world right now is also a great thing and people should consider that as a possible reason.

Girona is great and yes he got famous there and he should be always grateful for the chance that he played this well there and given the chance. However, that doesn't mean that he is going to end up staying there until the retirement, that is why it is quite good obvious situation that we are going to end up with players always picking up the better situation.
491  Economy / Economics / Re: Tech Layoffs on: February 07, 2024, 08:23:21 PM
AI definitely plays a role into this there is no doubt about that but also you have to remember someone has to use that AI, it is not going to be the boss, there will be employees who will figure out a way to use the AI to make the product, and fix stuff.

I think it is mainly because the money isn't coming in as much as it used to. What we need to look at is the fact that during pandemic and even before, the rates were low, so people didn't want to put their money into savings, certainly not super rich people, so they invested into tech companies, startups and so forth, now that the interest is high, they don't take that risk, which left many companies without fund, which caused a lot of them to fire their employees who are getting paid a lot, the developers.

The rumors circulating regarding Benzema have actually received confirmation that he was only on holiday and had important business in the country he was traveling to at that time. So the issue about him leaving the club is just an issue. Because actually there is no reason for Benzema to immediately leave Al-ittihad. And the appearance of Benzema in training sessions is also the answer to all the doubts that everyone has about Benzema at the club. There are even rumors that Benzema will join Al-Nassr. And yeah, it seems like that's just an issue. But I'm happy that Benzema is finally back in the picture.

Today Al-ittihad will face Al-taee. And this is a postponed match that Al-ittihad must make good use of.
I mean it is not "unfounded" rumours, how many players have you seen that left the club right in the middle of the season, and did not come back for a long time and then stayed and be happy at that club? I have seen plenty that did that, but then they left, so it is usually an indication that the player will leave. Doesn't mean that Benzema will, if he is returned then he is returned and nothing else is needed about that, but that isn't really regards to any bad journalism about the issue, I think it was alright to expect something like that.

Let's see if he can do fine, we have seen him not do that great so far, which means expecting him to do well after he returns would be at least what he can provide for the fans and the team that pays so much for him.
493  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: February 07, 2024, 07:08:41 PM
It looks like a squandered chance, especially after Roma's firing. Given their quality, I think Chelsea could turn things around with the correct leadership. The next game against Crystal Palace will be a test for Chelsea's coach and Palace. Palace's home advantage is offset by their fans' expectations.

Chelsea's current situation isnt just about coaching techniques, but also about player signings not matching club needs. The management's investments on underperforming players have proven questionable. The team must prove they can overcome these problems in this next match, not just for the coach.
Mourinho at Chelsea could be a very difficult hiring. After all, he hasn't been winning much for the past 5 or so years, he won the conference league that's true but not like conference league was a very tough one, still a good thing but that doesn't really indicate that he would be great for Chelsea, dude got fired from Roma, who has much less money, so it is really not that easy to do better at Chelsea than do better at Roma, expectations are different.

He could still be hired of course, that way they could at least give it a try and if it works then that's great but if it doesn't work then there is no problem really. I believe that the best thing to do here would be hiring a bigger talent, someone who has been doing great recently.

Where do you get the idea that TheQuin takes a lot of vacations? Most likely, he is busy with something else, and I suppose that's why he is less often online on the forum. By the way, the community manager of the FUN token wrote a couple of days ago that they contacted the freebitcoin support team, who have assured them that they are working on fixing this issue. So, we just need to be patient and wait for updates from the freebitcoin team.
Well, I think he means that he is not active on the forum. He's probably working on other things but he hasn't logged in the forum since 27 January and if we look at his post history over the last few months it's pretty infrequent. I remember him being active on the forum every day before and posting regularly.
I mean I do agree that website doesn't "look" like a website that is a multi-million dollar company website, and it is basically give or take the same design as what it was 10 years ago, with only a few minor changes, I do agree that it needs an overhaul of design changes.

However, just because it doesn't look like one, doesn't mean that they are not, just consider the fact that lambo giveaway is 200k and they do it twice a year, LAMBO ALONE is 400k a year GIVEAWAY, from this website. Imagine the amount of money they give away every year, between lottery, rewards, freerolls, they probably give away a million dollars or more every single year. When you see that, you realize what they actually make, if they giveaway that much, the amount they must be making is insane. Hence, they are a huge company that works way too hard, which is why he can't be online all the time every single day.

Savio to City makes a lot of sense. He has played wonderful at Girona this year, and City has the rights to get him after all, there is a reason why Girona got this good, City is pumping up great players to other clubs, sort of like loan but also not loan, like affiliate basically.

All in all I think Savio will shine a lot at City, and not like Pep is a coach that benches someone and doesn't make them play, he likes to switch up the players time to time, so we are going to see some changes. They just bought Greaish for 100 recently a few years ago, and Doku is there too ,he likes to put competition into places so that everyone would put their best to get playing time and prove they are the better player and this might help for Savio.

Al Nassr is the closest team that could rival Al Hilal for the title and they have 7 difference points but i think it's not easy to cut their gap points because just like i said before Al Hilal is too consistent and they have good balanced to attack and defense and it proven from their records because Al Hilal only conceded 9 goals and scores 59 goals during this season so it's hard for Al Nassr keep up Al Hilal and if we talking about Al Hilal opponent after competition break they will fight against Al Raed and obviously this is easy match for Al Hilal because Al Raed is not consistent and during this season Al Raed have already gets 10 loses so obviously Al Hilal will be able to resumes their winning streak records from this match
There's still a chance for Al Nassr to overtake Al Hilal, as long as the Serbian guy is injured, Al Hilal will struggle to score a goal. Ronaldo will be recovered soon, fortunately they don't have any big match in this month.
I mean the "chance" is there, nobody doubts that, but I also do not think that it would be possible. The point difference is 7, and it feels like we are not going to really see Al Nassr close that gap that easily. They have 15 more games to play so mathematically of course it's possible, but Al Hilal has to lose more than two games, for that to mean something, two losses and a tie.

For a team that had only two ties and zero losses so far, I am not sure if that is a logical thing to expect. Not saying it will not happen, it could very well happen but a team that had 17 wins and 2 draws on 19 games ending up with 2 losses and 1 draw with 12 wins on 15 games doesn't really look like the most possible thing in the end, that's the issue.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: February 06, 2024, 07:28:03 PM
Based on the calculation of points earned in the domestic league, Barcelona is better than Napoli, but overall, both teams are not at their best. Inter Milan are in top form, they are very obsessed with returning to the final and winning the UCL trophy after failing in the final last season. You also shouldn't underestimate Atletico Madrid, this team just held Real Madrid to a draw in La Liga, Simeone team also embarrassed Real Madrid in the Copa Del Rey with a landslide score of 4-2. Inter are better prepared to advance to the next round judging by their performance, but Atletico will try to knock Inter out quicker with their aggressive displays this season.
I would not call that victory landslide since it took additional time to determine the winner. In the pair Inter - Atlético Inter is the favorite, as can be seen from the quotes:

1.87 - 3.53 - 3.92

however, there is a nuance: Inter qualified from second place in the group, so the first game takes place in Milan. Inter must resolve all issues in the first game and as you can see, the probability of this is not at all high from the bookmakers’ point of view - only 1.87. If you take a win with a handicap, then the odds drop to a weak 2.80. It is obvious that if Inter does not win the first game, then Atletico will be the favorite in the return game. If Inter wins 1-0 or with any other minimum score, then the situation will be equalized.
I do agree that Inter is the favourites, but to be fair I do not think that it's that clear, the 1.87 vs 3.92 looks like ATM doesn't have much chance. If I was the one who made it, I would probably make it more like 2.00 vs 2.80 type of ones, that would have made more sense. I think it is going to be something that may not be all that easy, and would take a while for it to work, so it is not really all that simple to deal with. I believe that we are going to end up with something that is not going to be easy, so we should be careful about it.

I hope that people could see how it could change, and in order for it to change I think we could do something that would not be easy, it is really a tough decision to bet on Inter or bet in general for this game, very undecided.

Lewis Hamilton could actually do fine with Ferrari, not because he is going to end up with a change of team, Mercedes is a great team, but also we have seen Ferrari do fine with their car so far in the past two years, hell the yare the only team that won this year aside from Red Bull right? If I remember correctly they are the only one.

So if Hamilton leaves, and I do not know if Bono is leaving as well, but if he leaves too, then Lewis will have someone inside, Bono will make sure the team runs smooth and how it should be, and Lewis will take 100% out of that car, and considering he rarely crashes the car or does something dangerous, not ever, but rarely, so that means he could actually collect a good amount of points.

Asking managers about the contracts of players has been an old thing that journalists are still doing, but the reality is that we are in a world where clubs are more functioning like a company and that means managers have absolutely no say in it and do not get meddled with those discussions.

This means that asking Pep about the contract of Haaland makes absolutely no sense at all, and players know that the best way to get a lot of money from your club is to make them wait until the last minute, either to make it look like you got a better offer and you are stalling them, or you actually did get a better offer and you are actually stalling them. This way, you will make them offer more and more, and get the most money, manager players no role in either side.

Messi may have done all that he could do for, win all the cups with his national team, win all the cups (most of them multiple times) with clubs, won all the personal achievements, broke a record for ballon d'or that is so high that I think it would not be possible for anyone else to ever break in the future.

Basically, that dude is just having fun at this point, not sure how long he will stay at Miami, but I feel like if I hear him just retire and live rest of his life at ease somewhere in Miami for 40 years, I would not be shocked to hear that neither. Dude is basically on vacation, he is making a good chunk of money but nobody expects him to do anything, he just does whatever he wants to do and has fun at this point.
