When I saw the odds I was expecting Manchester City game to blow, I'm not surprised the score is only 2-0. People who played over 2.5 goals and more lost their bets. City likes to do that occasionally. They can easily score 3 or more alone but they don't do that. They're idling the game. They turn the ball over as if they are attacking, but in fact they are passing the time and defending very tirelessly.
In the end it was important for them to get 3 points and they did it. Now they are back on top after a long break. I say that because they are level on game numbers, otherwise Liverpool have a chance to go ahead again with one more game.

I was quite surprised by Manchester City's performance, particularly with only scoring two goals, considering their recent excellent form. Given that it was their home match, I anticipated a higher goal count. I reckon some bettors might have opted for riskier bets, like predicting 2.5 goals or more, given the low odds. Honestly, considering Manchester City's dominance on the field, I expected them to score more than just two goals.However, Everton proved to be a formidable opponent by adopting a defensive strategy. Despite Manchester City controlling possession with 70% of the ball, they only managed three shots on goal. Nevertheless, securing three points was the primary objective, so the outcome wasn't all bad.

Seriously this game has in the past always produces goals above 2.5 but this particular game was more of a conservative measure taking by Pep. He has struggled with injury this season, most of which where his key players and currently he is avoiding a high tempo game to help them conserve energy which we all saw how they play in the first half. The other reason could be the next coming game in the champions league against Copenhagen, although they are not much of a threat but you wouldn’t undermine anyone in that competition. It is a great win for Manchester city to go top for probably few hours and also to boost them against their coming match with struggling Chelsea who shared the spoils with them last time they meet.

It’s very good that 25 minutes before the end (including stoppage time) Liverpool leads 2-1, but since I made a bet with a handicap of -1, I need at least one more goal   At the moment, bookmakers believe that Liverpool are more likely to win by more than one goal:

Man City has been relieved of their burden for a while because the victory over Everton took them to the top. Whether they will stay at the top or not, it depends on Liverpool. In the first half Man City seemed to have difficulty breaking down Everton's defense but after Kevin De Bryune played in the second half their rhythm has improved. Even though they could only create 3 shots on target, but two of those resulted in goals.

The change of scheme midway through the second half in my opinion was a very good move for Manchester City in this match because indeed seeing the difference in attack patterns carried out in the first half and the second half that occurred showed that Manchester City had several options that they could try in a match and Pep was good enough to make some movements in the attack scheme and formation carried out because it seems he already knows very well what Manchester City needs to face a match.

In the second half Pep made some changes with the likes of Kyle Walker, Bernardo Silva and De Bruyne and we know that the quality of their attack was better than in the first half.
The 0-2 result in this match was good enough in my opinion and it was an easy gamble in a match.

In other matches it seems that Klopp is still trying to improvise in their attack line and it is evident that some players continue to change in terms of position because in this match Jota was used as a left wing and of course this is a new thing for him. But the results are also quite satisfying because their trio of strikers Jota, Nunez and Dias managed to score goals and it is likely that the match will end with a score of 3-1 considering the time has entered extra time.

At first, it seems to be obvious that Manchester city will win Everton but on a second thought, some people would suggest that Everton will do everything to escape relagtion. Ofcourse it is possible for Everton but not against Manchester City. Manchester City is too good to lose to Everton, especially as KDB and Erling Haaland will be available.

However, as the first half ended goaless draw. Some people thought Everton could go home with atleast one point. But I knew Everton cannot withstand Manchester City 80th minute to the end pressure. Now it will end as 2:0 in favour of Manchester city.

Before this match started, it was clear that Man City's quality and performance was much better than Everton this season, so it was certain that Man City would win this match. Because this match took place at Man City's home ground, with the presence of Erling Haaland he became more aggressive in trying to get 3 points in the match. Even though many said Everton would do everything, in fact they still lost to Man City and the final score was 2-0.

It cannot be denied that Everton will not be able to withstand the attacks launched by Man City in this match, even though in the first half no goals were scored. However, in the second half it was seen that Everton's defense was continuously under pressure from Man City.

The quality owned by everton was not really different compared to the city in the first half. Im seeing that how city was being so frustrated when it was not able scoring even a single goal in the first half. The come of de bruyne has been helping this club so much. No doubt that if city was always depending on him.

De bruyne has been also assisting haaland with a very accurate assist which has been able to be converted into the goal by haaland. Im seeing that how braanthwhite had been bodied by haaland and he was failling.

Haaland just like a robot when it comes to the 1 on 1 against the defender from its opponent. Haaland was obviously a complete package. He has fast, streghth and shoot. it's very hard to defeat him when it was coming to be one on one.
Everton must be staying at the relegatio zone which is very bad for the club. I was hoping everton to do better than it but the first goal has been destroynig the mentality fro the club. that's what i have seen from the match between everton vs manchester city.

It's quite frustrated as a fan that was betting city to win the game seeing how city was struggling in the first half against it. De bruyne is always making the different for the game of manchester city.

Manchester City has proven to Everton that there performance are not good enough to win them, so perhaps it was already expected that this match may likely end this way because Manchester City has been very much on a good form since Kevin de Bruyne returns and also there major target has been to become the first position of the premier League table that's why they are trying all there possible best to prevent any draw or losing and there good performance has been working for them.
 

Actually in this match Everton defended very well, it's just that Everton's defensive style did not last long because in the second half Pep began to make some breakthroughs by looking for alternative players as an option for their attack line, which in fact made Everton even more confused with the wave attacks carried out by Manchester City.

The entry of Kyle walker with speed on the wing in helping attacks and KDB, who we know his ability to make a good midfield flow, made Manchester City's conditions even better in this match and the final score of 0-2 which Haaland scored has proven the difference in quality in this case.

However, Manchester City still have a chance to overtake Liverpool if only they win their outstanding game which I'm very optimistic that they'll win it. The race for who wins the English Premier League title this season keeps getting interesting as the match weeks goes by

But no matter how many goals they can score, the victory they get is still very meaningful because it keeps them in the title race path.

Burnley actually also had 2 good chances in the second half, but unfortunately, they didn't have a good finishing touch for that.

I remember some time ago there were lots of people saying that Liverpool would be the title holders this season but I said that wouldn't happen after Haaland and KDB returned to the field because these two players really were  dangerous threat to other teams.

Liverpool's players have shown excellent dominance at home. However, Liverpool conceded a goal. And the first half ended 1-1. However, the dominance of Liverpool's players was evident throughout the match.

Liverpool are completely attacking in the first half. In the second half, Liverpool's players increased the pace of attack. And just 7 minutes into the second half, Luis Diaz's goal gave the team a 2-1 lead. Nunez's goal in the 79th minute gave Liverpool a 3-1 win. Liverpool had 71% ball possession in this match. Liverpool have once again occupied the top spot of the table by two points ahead of Manchester City.

It's been an interesting weekend so far. Watched the City and Liverpool game but missed out on most of the action of Tottenham's game (no way I would watch Tottenham instead of Liverpool) but I didn't miss that 96th minute winner by Johnson after that excellent assist from Son.

My take on the weekend so far, Man City is interested in repeated what they have done in seasons before this one: slip up early in the season and do a comeback to win the title. This time though, It's a 3-way battle between Liverpool, City and Arsenal.

Won my singles for the day. Forgot to share but tomorrow I won't forget.

The feeling was strong that Everton could not defeat Manchester City they couldn't perform such a mission, and the way I predicted so it happened I even expected more goals from Manchester City, and the surprise was Haaland, single handily scored the two goals, and I was impressed, but if it Haaland then expect anything from him and even couple with the fact that I don't like him but he his good, always have a good time always to score. and the pressure was even much on Everton but it was expected since their squad looks complete then it will be hard to win them. and if it was that period that K. De Bruyne sustained injury then it will be easy. they know Everton is weak against them and that is why they did not even put too much energy into it. because of the other games coming up, they are trying to reduce the energy they put into it. and even Liverpool won their game this shows that is a good sign coming from both teams tonight.

Liverpool didn't give up after going 2-1 up and increased the pressure. It was a dangerous score for them and they relaxed a bit more after scoring the 3rd goal. In the end, they took 3 points with 3 goals and continued to lead for now.
Totthenham hosted Brighton at home. After conceding a goal at home in the first half, Totthenham did everything to hold on to the game. Totthenham used all their strength to the fullest and managed to win the game after falling behind. The winning goal came in extra time, which was an exciting moment for them. With this win, they moved up to 4th place with a game in hand.

Of course there are concerns about bad results or missing the opportunity to get full points, but Pep Guardiola had another option and it really worked.

Sean Dyche might be one defensive coach but that don't work whenever he is against Manchester City even during them days as a manager for Burnley.
Tough first half already as they locked up these citizens but not for too long. Not that they didn't get to create chances but they struggled to score.
Thanks to Erling Haaland, we'll always know whenever he's around and not Injured. He's not scored more than fifty goals in the Premier League Competition.

Liverpool pressed on to score with double headers. I think they used more of set pieces to score than breaking Burnley United.

United will be playing Villa, that will be a tough game. United has been not so great this season so far, and they really need a win, Villa has been unexpectedly good as well and they look like they could keep their position. This is why it's a much more important game for United, hopefully they will get the win they want, it has to be a win for them to keep trying.

There are scenarios where the sixth team still goes to Europe, but it's really not idea for them, they need to do a lot better. This does look like a very unlikely situation for United, not like they can be fourth, but it would make it easier if they win Villa, who is fourth right now. They would at least get a little bit closer there and have a chance.

If you had known Manchester City's pattern of play, you wouldn't at any instance feel bothered about why they are unable to see the net of the team they are playing against in the first half.
If you find them not scoring goals as expected in the first half, feel relaxed and expect to see goals in the second half because Manchester City wouldn't want to play the second half without scoring a goal, no matter how defensive the team they are playing against would be.
It was a fantastic two-nil victory for Manchester City against Everton, after aiming for the top PL table for long. I am glad that it came to fulfillment

After Chelsea's impressive performance against Aston Villa at the Villa Park in the English Premier League,a lot of people are now of the opinion that they've improved from their poor and inconsistent form this season and are now giving them a chance to get a result against Manchester City next weekend. Before they face Manchester City, Chelsea have a game to play on Monday night against Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park and no matter the result of that game, I don't think Chelsea stands a chance to get at least a point against Manchester City next weekend.
Pep Guardiola doesn't have much injury crises at the moment which means that he has an almost full squad to chose from and considering the quality of players in the Manchester City team, winning against Chelsea shouldn't be a big issue to them

For the first half it looks like Pep wants to maximize the young talent they have and it can be seen from the formation that is done where 4 young players are in midfield supported by Rodri who is used as a defensive midfielder in this match but with this, Manchester City's attack seems to be bland but in my opinion it is a good initiative from Pep because even though there are several players like Silva, KDB and Rodri there but still rotation and trying the best with the young players they have at the moment is a good experiment and it is very worth doing.

By including 3 senior players in the second half it shows that they are playing more seriously and it clearly adds attacking power and the situation becomes more interesting because Manchester City's attacks are more varied.

Yeah they can still secure the sensitive this time and continue to be at the top but the conditions until now are still unstable because after all by looking at what is happening now actually Manchester City still has one match left and that if utilized properly then it is possible for Manchester City to be at the top with a difference of 1 point they have but before that happens it is likely that the throne at the top will still continue to be owned by Liverpool even though the competition is becoming more interesting now where several clubs are starting to show the balance in the title race and this is evidenced by the acquisition of points which are still quite a bit in terms of the difference.
Arsenal also still haven't played and we can be sure if Arsenal win then the competition will become even more interesting in the title race.

Judging Everton match with Manchester City only based on the results that Everton obtained against Tottenham is not the right way and it is mistake to judge based on that match.
We won't get important points that are truly correct in making predictions if we only base it on Everton match with Tottenham.
We have to see how the two team perform and we also have to see which players will play in that match.

This match took place at the Etihad Stadium and only luck could provide surprise that could enable Everton to match or even beat Manchester City.
Everton chances are really very small in this match.

Tottenham and Manchester City aren’t a match at all in any form as Manchester City have had much greater achievements than them. Even if you want to check with this season’s performance, City will still come out as the better of these 2 teams. 1The result Everton had against Tottenham shouldn’t be used to judge how the match with City would go. Manchester City are on the race for the league title and know how important getting all 3 points at the Etihad is and they made it all possible as they got all their goals in the second half of the game.

 Erling stood up when City seemed they were falling already and he got the brace to hand them the 3 points. Everton tried to contain City but couldn’t hold up for a while as City still came out powerful, well I was pretty sure City would claim the 3 points but i didn't expect them to really disturb Cify like they did today.
