481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leadcoin [LDC] New Website, new faucet, foundation members needed! on: February 02, 2014, 06:57:11 PM
is there paper wallets?

I haven't really looked into paper wallets but I will check it out!  Smiley

I see people on Ebay selling paper wallets (not LeadCoin though).
482  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leadcoin [LDC] New Website, new faucet, foundation members needed! on: February 02, 2014, 06:54:57 PM
Good job glerant. I found the new website today and I am very pleased to see someone to pick up the project. Very nice site btw.

Many thanks!

I am not a web dev by trade but a Cisco engineer by trade so I am glad you like the site!

I solo mined 72,960 of these with an HD 6770 card last night from 9:00pm to 9:00am!  Grin
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Leadcoin [LDC] New Website, new faucet, foundation members needed! on: February 01, 2014, 01:12:57 AM
Solo mining already

Yes, this is a great coin for solo mining. Even with cheap GPU cards like HD6770!  Grin
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Leadcoin [LDC] New Website, new faucet, foundation members needed! on: January 31, 2014, 05:16:05 PM
There is a new website for LeadCoin at www.leadcoin.net

There is also a new LeadCoin faucet at the MultiCoin Faucet! http://altcoinfaucet.net/

It would be great if you could follow LDC on Twitter. http://twitter.com/lead_coin
(100 Coins for every address tweeted who then follows lead_coin until further notice!)

Also it would be cool if you could like us on Facebook! A like and a comment with your address = 100 coins until further notice!

Don't forget we have our solo miner call to arms thread here on Bitcointalk! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=436299

And we are still active with our reddit and cryptsy requests -

https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/63498

http://www.reddit.com/r/CoinedUp/comments/1vhtg8/add_lead_coin/

We are also looking for people to help with this coin and/or join the foundation!  Cheesy

487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][MAX] MaxCoin on: January 31, 2014, 01:40:33 PM
That's a good idea, and keeps it more simple for newbies like myself Smiley

Wallet and miner all in one.

Just practice with a coin like Frozen and then maybe LeadCoin before launch.
USB miners will be a while but get yourself a minepeon raspberry PI rig and have a play with that.

It is fair that people who have messed around with command lines and conf files for a while get a head start!  Cheesy
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN][MAX] MaxCoin on: January 31, 2014, 01:37:28 PM
This will be great!  Grin

It's cool that we will see the three phases of Bitcoin speeded up with this one.
People moan about botnets but coins like quark and frozen get along quite happily.
Then, pretty soon after launch we will see cgminer kick in.
Next, we will see an FPGA quickly followed by ASIC phase.

I don't see what the problem is!  Grin
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDC] Leadcoin don't missing it!! on: January 31, 2014, 12:05:23 PM
in your opinion leadcoin will be added to exchange or will be forget?

Well, LeadCoin is on http://www.cryptotc.us/market#2CH.

As with any coin if people get behind it then it will be a success.

People are quietly mining this coin but they need to start being more vocal!  Grin
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDC] Leadcoin don't missing it!! on: January 31, 2014, 11:33:05 AM
Wish this coin would do something already cuz I got a lot of it.  Everything about it just bores me though, dev giving no reason why it is different, why it is even called Leadcoin (not even sure if that is lead as in Pb, or lead as in "lead, follow or get out of the way"), goals, etc.

Find a way to promote it besides giveaways or write up a mission statement or something!

It's Lead as in Pb  Grin

I got LDC put on the http://altcoinfaucet.net/

The original devs have moved on it seems. I have started on a new website and the coin needs a community takeover/foundation.

I am happy to lead the charge for a takeover with everything on the table including name. The client itself is well done and the coin has, in my view, ideal attributes fo a scrypt coin. I think the original devs are busy with a new coin, KAKA, would you believe! It doesn't translate well outside of Korea!  Grin

491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EARN TEN BLOCKs 19200 LDC {{Your mission, should you decide to accept it}} on: January 29, 2014, 12:35:30 PM
does leadcoin have an exchange? and is there a minimum time as to which you have to dedicate time?

Hi Regtable!

No time limit just 1 block (don't care if it is immature).

There is an exchange for LDC at http://www.cryptotc.us/market
However LDC is only just over 1 month old - block rewards just halved to 1920

Thanks!
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EARN TEN BLOCKs 19200 LDC {{Your mission, should you decide to accept it}} on: January 29, 2014, 12:29:23 PM

Again that's great! Thanks for helping out!

Again can you pm me your LDC receive address so I can send the 19200 - Many thanks!!!   Smiley Smiley Smiley

All other Mission Agents who successfully complete the mission - Please post your LDC receive address with your (longer than 1 word) comments! or (even better) pm me with the address so as not to spam the forum!
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EARN TEN BLOCKs 19200 LDC {{Your mission, should you decide to accept it}} on: January 29, 2014, 12:20:03 PM
Mission completed.

I got quite a few of my own blocks in the process so thank you very much.

That's great!

494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LDC] Leadcoin LAUNCHED! new pool opened on: January 29, 2014, 12:14:33 PM
So many immature blocks probably will turn to orphans... Anyone knows what's going on?

Yes, the pool (Forkpool) is over 51% (Well over 51%) - Leadcoin needs more solo miners!

I am offering 1920 LDC to solominers (1 block) see below! If you post a screen shot of your immatures in that thread I will send you a block.

They will turn up. Cryptsy is an honest outfit.
Having said that - I would not send more than .5BTC in one transaction and I certainly would not keep more than 1BTC at any exchange for longer than absolutely necessary..
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EARN TEN BLOCKs 19200 LDC {{Your mission, should you decide to accept it}} on: January 28, 2014, 01:28:57 PM
Please note that the Bitcointalk Alt Crypto forum rules have changed (I just noticed this, myself!  Embarrassed) so unless you have a genuine and reasonably verbose comment then just pm me with the address and/or your acceptance of the mission!

Your mission, Fellow Miners, should you decide to accept it  Cool

PLEASE REPLY TO THIS THREAD IF YOU WANT TO ACCEPT SO I CAN ALLOCATE THE BLOCKS!!

Also please note that the Bitcointalk Alt Crypto forum rules have changed so unless you have a genuine and reasonable verbose comment then just pm me with the address and/or your acceptance of the mission!

EARN TEN BLOCKS 19200 FOR SOLO MINING, 888 coins for an LDC suggestion + your wallet address
There are not huge numbers of this coin as with DOGE or IFC!!
The main LDC LEADCOIN Pool is too powerful and has over half the LDC hashes.

We need some solo miners to step up and increase our distributed hash rate!  Cheesy Newbies check out the info below or post questions here!

I am looking for at least 10MH of solo miners to start mining and take a screen shot of their solo mined with date, leadcoin wallet and transaction showing.

AS THE POOL IS SO POWERFUL ATM I AM NOT CONCERNED ABOUT REJECTED BLOCKS - JUST SHOW ME A BLOCK with today or after date!
Include your wallet address!

Like So;

For this I will send you 10 Blocks of LDC ie 19200!!!  Grin Grin

Even on a hopeless GPU this will not take you too long (Well maybe don't bother with an S3 Virge!  Embarrassed)

I suggest you download the wallet, add the leadcoin.conf to the leadcoin folder in 'Roaming' and sync up and then mine for a short while on ldc.forkpool.com just to make sure you are getting confirmed payments.

Then point CGMiner at your local wallet and mine solo - AS SOON AS YOU GET A BLOCK, POST HERE AND YOU WILL EARN TEN FURTHER BLOCKS!!!

PLEASE HELP US REACH 10MH of SOLO Miners - Newbies! Here is your chance to SOLO MINE!!!!!  Grin Grin Grin
