EAst is back up.

Also discovered why my rate was so low . . . my CPU mining (XPM) was using 8 thread instead of 6 so I was dragging my GPU's down.  Roll Eyes

EDIT:  Well I have one of my workers on useast, but the other won't connect, so still some problems with useast, apparently.

Is XPM worth mining ? I told my cousin to try it with an I5 4670k clocked @4.2ghz at he said it was earning pennies a day , Is he a nob and doing something wrong ? I haven't got a proper CPU around to test for myself.
Probably not, but since I have both computers running anyway and it doesn't lessen my GPU mining rate, I figure why not?

With my 7 threads on an 8320 and 6 on my 8350, I average about 1/3 XPM/day.  There's a whole lot of luck involved in mining primecoin, but on average that's pretty solid.

massive rejections
asia seems also down

I've been getting bundles of lost shares due to stratum disconnects, And average hash rate is well below what it should be, Even though I reconfigured my setup today for better results, For the life of me I don't know how it can go down even though it's at least ten percent higher on my end than yesterday.
Yep.  I'm barely hitting 500mh/s on my R9 280X on the uswest.  I was running 710mh/s on useast.

Gonna be a lousy pay day today if it isn't fixed soon.

Send a PM to h2o with all the info.  IF it can be corrected, he will do so.  It appears that you were lucky and the address to which you directed it is no currently a legitimate BTC address, so the coin remained in your balance.

Oh, and now you know why you should always use copy and paste for your wallet addresses rather than manually typing them in.
485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 27, 2014, 01:09:48 PM
Right now, your best bet is to just use the default middlecoin.com URL for mining.  useast is down and apparently eu is down as well.
486  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptsy.com hacked ? on: January 26, 2014, 02:06:41 PM
Roll Eyes  That's the default referrer.
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 25, 2014, 08:42:48 PM
Another benefit in switching to hashbros.co.in, your gpu's will thank you! My vidcards temp dropped by 4-5 degrees C just by switching pools. Why? I don't know and I really don't care to know, probably due to lower pool difficulty, from middlecoin's 1024 to variable in hashbros???

If you have 2 or more rigs, switch 1 rig to hashbros and see for yourself!

Don't you want your expensive gpus to last longer?

I don't make any money selling hashbros. I just want fairness, justice and world peace Smiley
F. O. !

Just to give maybe a different perspective on H2o...  I'm a small business owner - we'll do $2.5 to $3 million in revenue this year, so you know the scale.  It's lucrative - I make a nice living and don't have to work a ton.

I'm the money guy.  All dollars run through me - billing, payroll, accounting, etc.  I read somewhere earlier in this thread where h2o said he has a couple part time employees and doesn't trust people enough to give up much control.  And I get that 100%.  Financially, I could delegate most of what I do and be semi-retired, but I'm not willing to hand over the money to someone else.

As lucrative as I understand this pool to be for him, honestly, if I were him, I'd probably be even LESS communicative than he is.  If I'm making as good a living as it appears he is, and do most of it myself, and can't or won't do a lot of delegating, AND want to actually live a little, then I honestly care less about give the community warm fuzzies than I do about enjoying my life.

Stats break, I'll get around to it.  Forum questions/complaints take a while to be addressed, if ever, so what.  I lose a little of my hash rate and my bottom line shrinks a little, fine, I still make plenty AND probably have a little less work to do.

I focus on making payouts be reliable and higher than the competition, go put my feet up a little, and let the folks who can do math choose to use my pool.  Stats and the occasional unexchanged spike are immaterial in the grand scheme of things.

Just my $0.02. :-)
At last, another voice of reason.

This is h20's baby.  He runs it as he desires.  He owes nothing to anyone beyond what he offered when he began this pool, mining the highest paying coins and cashing the profits in as BTC and distributing those proceeds as they were earned minus his agreed upon fees.

He's made it abundantly clear that he's not going to change the interface or alter any of the other superficial niceties that everyone keeps complaining about.  He is perfectly happy with providing the best performing multipool out here and reaping the rewards of his excellence.

You don't like all of that, fine, it's a free world and you don't have to like it, but you aren't going to change it no matter how many times you post about how much better it would be with it.  You can complain, you can suggest, you can "air your grievances" Wink all you choose, it serves no constructive purpose, because, as we all have been able to see over the past several weeks, h2o isn't going to change the way the pool operates.

Thus, all the complaints, the whines, the wishes, the suggestions, the "airing of grievances" is pointless and indulging in it is nothing more than self-indulgent bitching.

Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result is one description of insanity.

This isn't "fanboi-ism", this isn't "beating people up," this isn't telling people "STFU," this isn't telling people not to "air their grievances," this is just stating facts . . . it's just asking you . . . what's the point?

After 350 pages it should be abundantly clear that you are wasting your time and the time of everyone else on this forum.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 25, 2014, 03:59:38 PM
The question is, have you or any of those complaining sent h2o a PM or tweeted him on the main page twitter feed (effective action), or are you merely posting on the forum (complaining)?

One "airs grievances" by directly addressing the party with whom one is aggrieved.  Posting your complaints on a public forum hoping for others to chime in in agreement is whining, not "airing grievances."

Uh, no.  The "airing" of grievances is, by the very definition, to make public.  Hence the word "airing".

Whining, on the other hand, is to utter a plaintive, high-pitched tone or to protest in a childish fashion.  Neither of those I have seen here lately.

Back to English 101 for you!

492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 25, 2014, 03:32:06 PM

Yup...

There should be middlecoin-haters thread so all people could have their frustration there.
Then we could have constructive thread here.

How is airing grievances with the stat issue not "constructive"?  We all pay our 3% to H2o.  Do you believe it is not sane to expect the stats to work daily and to not have issues every 24-48 hours??

The Middlecoin stats DB have become the cryptocoin equivalent to the Obamacare website.  Pay a ton of money into it and it still breaks constantly.

just checking (sorry if there is a thread already on this)

if the charts are not showing progress, but CGMIner is showing blocks as being accepted - the coins are being mined ok and the payment will still be unaffected?

thanks  Wink
It's just the charts, if your miner is mining, the shares are being mined and your payment will not be affected.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 25, 2014, 01:13:38 PM
I'm mining at hashbros now.

H2O, your time is over very soon when hashbros gets out of beta! Your lack of development and transparancy is killing your business. Enjoy the money that you "earn" while it lasts.

Fuck this shit!
Heh-heh, yeah, I bet he's just quaking in his boots with his 19 GH of members.  You want to jump off this money-making machine, NOBODY is stopping you.  Take the train and the best of luck to you.
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 24, 2014, 02:53:16 PM
He is, unlike you with that question, standing with two feet solidly in Realville.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 24, 2014, 02:49:25 PM
The whining here is reaching epic proportions... can we sticky some points: ?

Every server except the main one is IN BETA. Use a failover or mine at your own risk.

You WILL NOT get the same payout every day, and you WILL NOT always get the same payout as someone with similar hashrates. Mining is heavily dependent on luck, and the servers dont always mine the same coin.

You WILL NOT make what coimwarz says every day. Mining is heavily dependent on luck.

The only stats middlecoin generates are on the allusers page. Those rely on extrernal sources for data (exchange apis etc) so if something looks odd, WAIT A FEW HOURS before complaining here. Or PM h2o. And don't base any theories on snapshots of the data.

PM coingeek if the graphs are stuck. Dont complain here.

AVERAGE EVERYTHING OVER SEVERAL DAYS! The last five mimutes dont mean the end of the world.

It's not worth it.  Doesn't matter how rationally or carefully you explain it.  It doesn't matter if you can Google it and find the answers you need in a few seconds, it doesn't matter how self-explanatory mining is with just a little research, they still are going to whine, moan, and whine some more.

When you attempt to chide them, they will go all self-righteous on you--it's just not worth it.

Just accept that it happens and let it go.  "OMMMMMM."  Grin
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 24, 2014, 01:53:32 PM
Down???  Not here.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Could this strategy to make small profits every day work? Am I missing anything? on: January 23, 2014, 07:04:28 PM
What you're talking about basically is arbitrage of a sort.  Problem is liquidity.  You have to be certain that your buy/sell orders are carried out instantly.  You're also betting that the value will continue in that pattern.

It's possible, but the liquidity problem adds to the difficulty.

Good Luck!!!
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: January 23, 2014, 03:18:07 PM
You guys can earn .02BTC/MHZ just by renting your rig http://leaserig.net/index.jsp

Never understood that thing of renting hashing power, if it is so profitable, why renting it?, when you can mine yourself, i don't get it.

there are a lot of companies selling shares, specially of BTC ASICS, why would you do that?, isn't that much better buy the rig and mine yourself from a client point of view, and from a company point of view, isn't much more profitable to mine instead of sell shares?.
Even more, why would anyone want to rent a rig for more than it can earn on an average day?  Doesn't make sense.

Gee, I think I'll pay 0.020BTC/day/MH so I can earn 0.018BTC/day/MH (what I earned on Middlecoin last night) . . . UMMM . . . wait, whuuuut? Shocked

I'm kinda pissed the personal stat websites still aren't working properly.  We are going on 24 hours now.  Why no updates from H2o?  He in Disney World or something??

I like this pool but as soon as someone else comes along and designs a similar pool that gives the same performance that Middlecoin does then I'm moving my farm away.  The lack of information from the pool owner is really alarming IMHO.  How hard is it to tweet the issue and to give an ETA on the fix?  I could teach a monkey to handle that job.
