I am not sure if it has already discussed. Just remind me I will locked the thread.
Here you go- Suggestion: New "Report to Moderator" Button in user profile last postsAlso, this reply- Without the context of the thread, it's often hard to tell a shitpost from a "normal" short comment. So, no. I am agreed with qwk, spammers will try to report someone s/he doesn't like. For example, someone may report your profile just because you have busted a lot of scam ICO. Can you imagine how loads will there be for moderators?

But this will change for sure.
The volume for "superchillin" has already started to decrease and "bitcoin forum" is significantly increasing. "bitcoin forum" will be in top over the span of time, IMO. Also, the main keyword "bitcointalk" and "bitcoin talk" has also a good growth.

So basically the better quality your posts the more posts creates better merit?
Yes. With the quality post, one can easily get merits. Also, in a very short time. You have to post constructive, on-topic posts. Sometimes, people also merit some funny posts though. LoyceV and DdmrDdmr have gotten more than 1000 merits after the system introduction. There are a lot of users who already have ranked up. You can check the list here- UP Rank List - Congratulations! (BPIP Merit stat, Trust) ⭐

Go to the board/section you want to get notifications for each new topic. In the right side, find out notify and click on it. You will get a pop up message. Click ok on it. I have attached image below. If you are still missing notifications, check your spam folder. That's what I got by digging a little. Check this thread. It's worthy to have a look- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=212818.0;prev_next=next

but before that it will be better to add some guidelines as well about how to search the required content because sometimes I do search I can't find the required thread but it is available at some sections.
We do have. [Tips] Guide for forum search[How-to] the Search buttonIn addition, you can easily find every query from google. It's quite easy. Just add the word bitcointalk.org after your query. For example, how to search bitcointalk site:bitcointalk.org ~snip~
True but when there will be a message, I think some people will definitely care, at least people who are here for having a real discussion. Those people will definitely think twice before starting a new thread. At most I think a simple warning that says something along the lines of "Ensure your post does not break the rules", with a link to mprep's thread.Yes, this can be more helpful but no one will read it for sure because for reading the rules, with tl;dr they have to go to another page. Isn't it better to show the message on the same page?

Every day, we face some repetitive threads, especially in Help and Beginners. The same is also happening in meta and other sections too. What if there is a warning message while someone starts to create a new topic. I have attached an edited image with a warning message. I think it will encourage people to use the search. By doing so, repetitive threads may be reduced(exception- altcoins board ). Some more suggestions from below discussionAt most I think a simple warning that says something along the lines of "Ensure your post does not break the rules", with a link to mprep's thread.but before that it will be better to add some guidelines as well about how to search the required content because sometimes I do search I can't find the required thread but it is available at some sections.
We do have. [Tips] Guide for forum search[How-to] the Search buttonI am suggesting to use the blue font color keep a cool look of the message.
I agree with S_Therapist there should be a warning/note with a link included to the search page. Just displaying a warning won't do much.

Thank you for the post. I think it would be better if you posted in Help and Beginners. You want to help someone, post where people query for help, simple You can easily move the thread watching lower left of this thread. Update; ~snip~
You have clearly mentioned that [Help]

For becoming transparent, mods can create a self-moderated thread but the meaning will be the same. A moderator can delete posts even if it is not self-moderated while in a self-moderated topic OP/moderator can do whatever s/he wishes. Won't both be same again? In self-moderated threads, replies belong to the OP. In other threads, replies belong to the respondents individually. Think carefully about whether you want to reply to a self-moderated topic, as your post may not be given due respect.

So you're saying most if not every altcoin on the market haven't gave good results?
No greedy founder can give a good result. Wait for the moon and get a plate in return

Last time I looked I had trouble sending one merit there. A merit source for there would be unemployed.
Isn't the merit system introduced to reduce spam and increase quality? Having merit source on particular board will definitely increase that quality of that board, IMO. The current posts may be not enough qualitative, but if someone starts to encourage sending sMerits on good posts, others will also think of posting something constructive, helpful.
