481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain is the Trojan Horse that will push Bankers and Investors finally to Bitcoin! on: December 12, 2016, 02:42:27 PM
guess what, man? if you think everyone uses bitcoin and then give up using fiats, the fiats down so are the bitcoin. anyway i don't understand the 'trojan horse' mean. Huh
482  Other / Meta / Re: If theymos dies ? on: December 11, 2016, 12:15:21 PM
if admin can promote themselves to admin, then that won't be a problem.
theymos should have plans to allow others being a new admin to heir this forum, as satoshi banned himself. there are also  several reasons why there are advertisements about alternated bitcoin forums laying on this forum, one of those is what your scenario is.
483  Other / Meta / Re: Question about characters limit? on: December 11, 2016, 01:11:06 AM
Posts over 65535 bytes get cut off at 65535 bytes. If that makes the BBcode invalid in certain ways, then you get the INVALID BBCODE error.

Also, note that a byte is different from a character. Because SMF stores "special" characters in a particularly space-inefficient way, each Russian character uses about 6 bytes, and each line break also uses 6 bytes.
by the way theymos, i would wish to know something about, because some of the people writes more than 65535 bytes, for an example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=948965 which had to use two posts to complete his content.

are there any plans to increase the byte limit to let the people make a more detailed reply or something?

maybe we can impose a hidden post policy which is applied to the long posts, which is not loaded without asking permission of the thread reader. Huh
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To Gamble or To Invest? on: December 11, 2016, 01:01:08 AM
Investing in multiple sites is a good option.
The only gamble that is worth a gamble is creating your own business.
indeed, investment is a long term gambling at a fairly lower risk, even if people wins major that would be enough to nudge the bankroll, it does almost nothing to the small investors, for the bold one, if that gambler failed, they would gain back the fund once again.

remember to read their investment policy carefully to prevent investment trap.
485  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] - Autographs for the Encyclopedia of Physical Bitcoins on: December 10, 2016, 04:25:01 AM
for the bithalo, if i would wish to send you a new holographic sticker in bitcoin paper wallet, would that be added to the encyclopedia? or what is the method to do so? Huh

this is a question.
486  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $50,000 each by 2020 on: December 10, 2016, 12:03:46 AM
Does anyone feel like it's comming?

$50,000! If it does I'll be coming - in my pants.
very dependent of how popular the bitcoin is, maybe as well as the altcoin if anyone could overthrow bitcoin with whatsoever. FYI so far the bitcoin is not yet known to the notable websites except not limited to Dell, newegg.
487  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain has stopped (almost) selling bitcoin miners-why? on: December 08, 2016, 04:45:55 AM
They ran out of chips on their last batch from the foundry is THE most likely cause.

 AGAIN.

I'm pretty sure they've long since sold out and swapped out all of their S7 units for S9s or an in-house varient.

at least 60% is true, because the 16nm fabrication technologies is from TSMC only, if the TSMC's order is going excessive, we will need to wait or pay a higher amount, for your information, each chip needs to be processed for 1~2 months.
488  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2016, 10:26:23 PM
looks like $780 is all but done now ... cut your looses shorts.

$800 next stop.
。。。 that's not all the way true though. but one thing is always true if you wanna gain more in trading, which are not to sell all the bitcoins at this moment.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: December 06, 2016, 12:02:48 PM
I think it is because of its price instability.Bitcoins price is not stable from time to time and some business that accept btc may be less profit.Or it is because its transactions that come slow at times
that's true, especially because bitcoin is decentralised for everyone to trade 24/7. for an example if the merchants cannot find a method to sell those bitcoins instantly, at this generation, they will risk price drop, you have to understand that the exchange is often too strict to transaction for preventing laundering.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think are the biggest disadvantages of Bitcoin? on: December 04, 2016, 12:24:20 AM
it is a hard to spread over the world, as not everyone understands this kind of technologies easily. as well, bitcoin would have to use a lot of electricity to complete proof of work to get bitcoins, which are limited.

one more thing,
waiting time on transactions and the price instability

Yes, nowadays transactions are taking a lot of time to get confirmed, and it is not more we can say that Bitcoin transactions are faster than a normal traditional way of sending money. Sometimes it even takes more than 24 hours. It is most important thing need to fix and attract more people into bitcoins world.
because the block time between is theoretically 10 minutes but actually variable as the block size constrained the confirmation speed.
491  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lets play a game of Chess on: December 03, 2016, 04:39:57 AM
Is there any web which provides earning for playing chess??
in my imagination, you are not guaranteed to earn to paly chess. as well, i don't have any ideas.
as above, people with the bot will lead the site owner bankrupt, so don't keep in mind that the chess is guaranteed to gain you money.
492  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: This guy is fucking people silently - what a scammer! on: December 02, 2016, 11:15:22 PM
Ah right sorry . Thought it meant something seperate .

Im posting a lot against these scammers yet we find out people are STILL sending them money . Beggars belief lol .

guess what? you are more likely the robertt. don't even think you could evade the sins of threats. you displeased several people and exposed passwords of us. Roll Eyes
493  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: a concept about creating high-security holograms for paper wallet. on: December 01, 2016, 01:07:03 PM
Look, how about you make a thread where people could buy them directly and make IRL tests, potentials investors will hard a hard copy and they can back you up.

They will pay for the production and shipping, you will not have to spend / waste money.

i am not asking any investors until i am surely ready, i don't want investors loathed the time. plus designing the hologram and paper arts are gonna be consuming major amount of memory spaces and the artwork skills. i don't have a proper PC that can support 2~3 GBs of data in an image that will be used on the hologram design. right now this is but a dream yet i don't wanna ask any investors as told because i am not that reliable by evidence. i can create a preview but i don't sure how many people is gripping on.

fact: with all the required funds to begin the production, it is a $10.000 question.  Undecided
btw i threw up the poll and let's see how many possible buyers i can get.
494  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Attraction on: November 30, 2016, 10:43:58 AM
because it is friendly to alternatives and the major steps towards security development. before bitcoin was born encryption was but useless and unknown to the general public, as of today it made how encryption for good causes. as an example: BIP58. Smiley
btw it allows asset representation. lol.
495  Economy / Services / Re: ★ Coinroll ★ Signature Campaign ★ on: November 30, 2016, 10:33:25 AM
i got .09 as well. what the shit.
if the owner had to verify all of them, unless we knew how much we exactly had, we would lose every single of them. plus you won't gain the bitcoins even if you ask the withdraw now, as they will process per week.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Fucking Chinese on: November 29, 2016, 10:41:44 AM
you understand that their miners are more innovative than the normal, especially they were the first to use the 16nm. if the KnC made that step earlier then you are not down.
chinese wants all your money in general  Sad.
no flamewar bait, man. that's not useful.
497  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin Black Friday *Price Match* *Tablets, Fire Sticks, Phones, More!* on: November 29, 2016, 04:39:14 AM
i guess i cleared the funds. Huh
is that card ready to send out or what? i wanna know when you are shipping my stuff out.
498  Economy / Speculation / voting: $750 in 1/12/2016? on: November 27, 2016, 01:34:43 AM
i am having some opinions about if the bitcoin goes to the $750 at the beginning of December:
there are more companies using bitcoin related security services, and/or the termination of 500/1000 old Indian Rupee notes are not yet being eased.

guess what, don't be panic on buying excessive bitcoins right now, don't be a greedy. if you bought bitcoins, better go long.
499  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Somewhere to buy GTX 1080 with Bitcoin on: November 26, 2016, 05:25:59 AM
how much do you expect for? although i don't guarantee i can ship it to you by 100% as to Iran, if you will expect HKD$6000 including shipping as fast as 3 days to arrive (it is more than HKD$600 to ship and no external options allowing cheaper one ) then i am offering non-founders.

PM if ok to op.
500  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB][EU] all your computer parts on: November 26, 2016, 05:01:11 AM
Hi mate,
The problem with the 1080 is the big upfront investment and uncertainty of resale. I'm more into cheap GPUs such as 7950s, r7, r9 and maybe rx that can be bought cheap, sold quickly and make me an important turnover so I can purchase more to keep operation rolling.

I have looked at my local market and the ones available are between 500-600EUR but I have no indicator on how long they've been there sadly...

So if you want to work out a deal with my local market, I can act as a reseller for your products with a % of the resale price as my fee but I can't guarantee it will sell well...

PM me if you want more info we can talk on the phone/skype (english, french, a little german).

Cheers,
Q.
i live in Hong Kong, that's why i cannot phone you directly.
i will send you details about the reselling information sortly, please stand by.
