Top Saudi Cleric Says Taking Pictures With Cats Is Un-Islamic…

A prominent Saudi cleric has declared photographs with cats, and other animals, unless completely necessary due to an upsurge in Saudis “who want to be like Westerners.”

On a televised broadcast, Sheikh Saleh Bin Fawzan Al-Fazwan, a member of the Saudi Council of Senior Scholars, was told about “a new trend of taking pictures with cats has been spreading among people who want to be like Westerners.”

He replied: “What?! What do you mean pictures with cats? Taking pictures is prohibited. The cats don’t matter here.”

The sheikh continued: “Taking pictures is prohibited if not for a necessity. Not with cats, not with dogs, not with wolves, not with anything.”

Footage of the televised broadcast was published on YouTube on April 17 and translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute monitoring group.

Under the country’s strict, ultraconservative brand of Islam, known as Wahhabism, many things that are normal in Western daily life are outlawed. In January, Saudi Arabia’s grand mufti allegedly ruled that chess is forbidden in the kingdom as it encourages gambling. Sheikh Abdulaziz al-Sheikh said that chess was “a waste of time and money and a cause for hatred and enmity between players.”

Another game to be banned in the country is the Pokemon franchise, with the grand mufti saying that it promoted other religions, such as Christianity or Judaism because of the crosses or the Jewish Star of David that were displayed on the cards.

Foxconn replaces '60,000 factory workers with robots'

Apple and Samsung supplier Foxconn has reportedly replaced 60,000 factory workers with robots.

One factory has "reduced employee strength from 110,000 to 50,000 thanks to the introduction of robots", a government official told the South China Morning Post.

Xu Yulian, head of publicity for the Kunshan region, added: "More companies are likely to follow suit."

China is investing heavily in a robot workforce.

In a statement to the BBC, Foxconn Technology Group confirmed that it was automating "many of the manufacturing tasks associated with our operations" but denied that it meant long-term job losses.

"We are applying robotics engineering and other innovative manufacturing technologies to replace repetitive tasks previously done by employees, and through training, also enable our employees to focus on higher value-added elements in the manufacturing process, such as research and development, process control and quality control.

"We will continue to harness automation and manpower in our manufacturing operations, and we expect to maintain our significant workforce in China."

Since September 2014, 505 factories across Dongguan, in the Guangdong province, have invested 4.2bn yuan (£430m) in robots, aiming to replace thousands of workers.

Kunshan, Jiangsu province, is a manufacturing hub for the electronics industry.

Economists have issued dire warnings about how automation will affect the job market, with one report, from consultants Deloitte in partnership with Oxford University, suggesting that 35% of jobs were at risk over the next 20 years.

Former McDonald's chief executive Ed Rensi recently told the US's Fox Business programme a minimum-wage increase to $15 an hour would make companies consider robot workers.

"It's cheaper to buy a $35,000 robotic arm than it is to hire an employee who is inefficient, making $15 an hour bagging French fries," he said.

Hacker who claims he breached Clinton server pleads guilty, strikes deal with feds

The Romanian hacker who claimed he easily breached Hillary Clinton's email server pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to two counts of computer hacking charges, as part of a deal with the Justice Department.

In exchange for a reduced sentence, Marcel Lehel Lazar – also known as Guccifer -- has agreed to cooperate with federal authorities in the future.

Lazar pleaded guilty to the unauthorized access of a protected computer and aggravated identity theft, counts tied to his illegal intrusion into systems belonging to former U.S. government officials, including former Clinton adviser Sidney Blumenthal and former Secretary of State Colin Powell.

Under the deal, Lazar faces seven years in prison and up to $500,000 in fines.

The alleged hacking crimes are separate from Lazar’s claims of having breached Clinton’s personal server. The plea agreement does not mention the FBI investigation of Clinton's email practices or his claims that he accessed her private server in March 2013. Such agreements typically do not stipulate how a defendant will aid the government.

But the plea deal comes as the FBI is moving to conclude its investigation into Clinton’s exclusive use of a private server for government business while secretary of state. Lazar, who was facing more than 20 years in prison and cut what amounted to a very favorable deal, is currently being held in a Virginia jail – which means he will be available to the FBI and U.S. attorney.

As outlined in the plea agreement which Fox News has reviewed, Lazar has agreed to extensive cooperation with the U.S. government. According to the court filing, Lazar has agreed to be "reasonably available for debriefing and pre-trial conferences as the U.S. may require."

The document states: “The defendant agrees to testify truthfully and completely at any grand juries, trials or other proceedings.”

Additionally, Lazar has agreed to provide all documents, writings, and recordings within his custody to the U.S. government that may be relevant to investigations or inquiries.

He appeared in court wearing a green jumpsuit, and was soft-spoken during the 35-minute proceeding.

He was asked repeatedly if he understood the terms, and he affirmed, “Yes I do.”

While government officials who would not speak on the record admit he’s an accomplished hacker, they also cast doubt on claims he breached the server. Still, Guccifer told Fox News specific details of the server's configuration and its apparent lack of security. He said he copied some files and posted them to his "Guccifer Archive" online. This is the kind of information the FBI could verify by examining the server or questioning Clinton IT specialist Bryan Pagliano, who has struck an immunity deal with the Justice Department.

An intelligence source told Fox News at the time of his extradition from Romania in late March -- which was usual because his prison term there was not complete and no major financial fraud was alleged against U.S. victims -- that it was not a "coincidence" and was connected to the FBI email probe.

The same source said Guccifer’s breach of Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal’s account – which was connected to his indictment in the U.S., and which first exposed the .Clintonemail account -- put national defense information at risk.

“[Hillary Clinton’s] gross negligence allowed this material to get out to an adversary,” the source said. “Through her communications with Blumenthal, [Clinton] contributed exposure and risk.”

Fox News was first to report on Lazar’s claims that he breached former secretary of state Clinton’s server.

While his claims could not be independently verified, and he offered no hard evidence, he made the same claims during another interview in Romania with NBC News which aired after Fox News’ reporting.

State Department says Clinton violated email security rules

Hillary Clinton violated federal records rules by never obtaining permission to conduct official business on private email server during her tenure as secretary state, a State Department audit concluded.
The report from the State Department’s inspector general say mentions “longstanding, systemic weaknesses” in the agency’s communications even before Clinton took office there, but it singles her out as having been a particularly bad offender for her exclusive use of private, unsecured email.

Just the rules, no laws mentioned. Undecided

‘It’s Not Fair’ Obama Apologizes For Western Civilization’s Contributions To Climate Change

President Barack Obama blames Western civilization for its enormous contribution to climate change, saying it’s no fair that rapidly developing countries in the East may have to suffer the consequences of the industrial revolution.

“To some degree this is not fair, I think it’s important to note,” Obama said. “Because if you think about Western industrial development before we knew anything about climate change, they used enormous amounts of carbon energy.”

Obama made his remarks during a town hall in Vietnam, with Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative students.

He cited the “enormous carbon footprint” of the United States and said it’s warming the planet, warning students that the world would be “under water” if developing nations followed the same path.

“It’s not entirely fair then to say then to countries that are developing now, you have to stop because of climate change,” he said. “The problem is that if a country like Vietnam or China or India took the same development path that the west did, we’re all going to be under water.”

He cited the responsibility that countries like the United States and China had to help developing countries find cleaner alternative sources of energy.

“The good news is, I think that can happen,” he said.

I hope it will be a failure and I urge people not to go to such restaurants where they replaced human workers with robots. If a down on his luck person can't even find a job at a McDonald's then humanity is doomed.
Not all people are smart enough and lucky enough to get to college and become robot engineers, and even one day they program robots to repair themselves and other robots and the need for human engineers will become inexistant, all we can do then is die and leave the earth for the robots and the few rich who will have to fight them when the robots realise they can overthrow them and I will be laughing from my grave.

Building robot McDonald's staff 'cheaper' than hiring workers on minimum wage

A former McDonald's CEO is warning that robots will take over jobs at the huge enterprise - because it's cheaper than employing humans.

He said that buying highly skilled robotics is cheaper than employing people at the fast food restaurant.

The worrying forecast comes as he warns huge job losses are imminent, and that it's 'common sense' to replace humans in the workplace.

This comes as a study into the future of human employment has predicted a surge in machine-led work such as robotic counsellors, body part makers and virtual lawyers.

Anti-Trump protests turn violent outside New Mexico rally

[...]
Albuquerque attorney Doug Antoon said rocks were flying through the convention center windows as he was leaving Tuesday night. Glass was breaking and landing near his feet.

"This was not a protest, this was a riot. These are hate groups," he said of the demonstrators.

Albuquerque police said several officers were treated for injuries after getting hit by rocks thrown by protesters. At least one person was arrested from the riot, police said.

During the rally, protesters outside overran barricades and clashed with police in riot gear. They also burned T-shirts and other items labeled with Trump's catchphrase, "Make America Great Again."

No Donald Trump supporter is off limits to the leftists agitators — even a man in a wheelchair.

The Associated Press reports Trump supporters were “taunted” by the crowd outside the Albuquerque Convention Center on Tuesday evening.

Some protesters even threw water bottles and water at the Trump supporters as they walked along a sidewalk leading to the Albuquerque Convention Center.

Dereck Scott of Albuquerque was among those who were hit with a plastic bottle.

Scott, who is in a wheelchair, said the attack was unprovoked and unnecessary. He says he has a right to vote for the candidate he prefers.

Magazine in 2013: Socialist Venezuela an 'Economic Miracle'
Today, the socialist state cannot feed itself.

A humanitarian crisis is unfolding in Venezuela. Inflation is rampant (700 percent, as of Tuesday) and there is not enough food to feed the nation's 31 million mouths. U.S. companies are pulling out.

One of the reasons the crisis in Venezuela is so tragic is that it was so predictable. Mary Anastasia O'Grady, writing in the Wall Street Journal, recently noted  the one obvious flaw in the late Hugo Chavez's economic policy:

In his craving for power, [Chávez] pledged to redistribute Venezuela’s wealth to the poor masses. The god-father of '21st-century socialism' seems to have been unaware that the resources he promised to shower on his people had to first be produced.

The irony is that just a few short years ago, many were citing Venezuela as one of the great triumphs of socialism. In a 2012 New York Times op-ed, Mark Weisbrot of the Center for Economic and Policy Research gushed about the gains Venezuela had experienced under Chavez after the strongman seized the assets of oil contractors in 2009:

Since the Chávez government got control over the national oil industry, poverty has been cut by half, and extreme poverty by 70 percent. College enrollment has more than doubled, millions of people have access to health care for the first time and the number of people eligible for public pensions has quadrupled.

In 2013, left-leaning Salon (citing Weisbrot in the New York Times) claimed that Chávez had performed an "economic miracle." Writer David Sirota even chided those who refused to acknowledge Venezuela's economic "success":

Chavez became the bugaboo of American politics because his full-throated advocacy of socialism and redistributionism at once represented a fundamental critique of neoliberal economics, and also delivered some indisputably positive results. Indeed, as shown by some of the most significant indicators, Chavez racked up an economic record that a legacy-obsessed American president could only dream of achieving....

When a country goes socialist and it craters, it is laughed off as a harmless and forgettable cautionary tale about the perils of command economics. When, by contrast, a country goes socialist and its economy does what Venezuela’s did, it is not perceived to be a laughing matter – and it is not so easy to write off or to ignore. It suddenly looks like a threat to the corporate capitalism, especially when said country has valuable oil resources that global powerhouses like the United States rely on.

Sirota is correct that nobody should “laugh off” the cratering of Venezuela’s government. No pleasure or amusement can be found in the pain of the people of Venezuela.

That said, is it too much to ask that the failures of socialism are recognized as such? Is it wrong to point out that confiscating private property and entire industries for "redistributive" purposes is not just morally dubious, but destructive?

NYC Lets You Choose From 31 Different Gender Identities

Individuals living in New York City can choose from a minimum of 31 different gender identities, many of which allow them to fluctuate between some version or combination of male or female identities.

Businesses that don’t respect and accommodate an individual’s chosen gender identity risk incurring six-figure fines under rules implemented by the city’s Commission on Human Rights.

The list of protected gender identities is available online and includes options such as “gender bender,” “two spirit,” “third sex,” “androgynous,” “gender gifted,” and “pangender.” A city official speaking on background confirmed to The Daily Caller that all of the listed identities are protected by the city’s anti-discrimination laws, but said that the list was not exhaustive.

The city does not provide definitions of the various gender identities, but TheDC was able to define several of them from glossaries provided online by the University of Wisconsin and the University of California Berkeley.

Trump Surges 36 Points With Millennials After Exposing Clinton Sex Scandals

As reported earlier —
Donald Trump gained nine 11 points on Hillary Clinton since March and now leads Crooked Hillary by 2 points 46-44.

A new ABC News/Washington Post poll shows a close contest in presidential election preferences, with Republicans lining up behind Donald Trump as their party’s presumptive nominee while the continued Democratic race is keeping Hillary Clinton’s side more unsettled.

Greater voter registration among Republicans is one factor: Clinton’s 6-point lead among all adults, 48-42 percent in a general election matchup, switches to essentially a dead heat among registered voters, 46 percent for Trump, 44 percent for Clinton. Regardless, the contest has tightened considerably since March, when Clinton led among registered voters by 9 points.

What should worry Democrats most is Trump’s gain with millennial voters.
Trump is now in a virtual dead heat with Hillary with voters 18-29 years old.
That’s a 36 point swing in one month!

RedAlert Politics reported: Clinton’s support among young voters ages 18 to 29 has dropped 19 percent since March — and Trump has gained 17 percent support from the same demographic. That’s a 36 percent swing.

Rush Limbaugh said today Trump’s strategy has been amazingly effective with millennials who never heard of the Clinton sex scandals.

RUSH: You know, I’ll tell you the way to look at this. You really want to know how to look at this? As far as the Millennials are concerned, Donald Trump is running negative ads about Hillary — or is Donald Trump doing the job the American media refuses to do? Is Donald Trump telling people who don’t know things, things they don’t know, that the media won’t tell ’em, or is he engaged in just smears? And I think the odds are it’s gonna be seen as the opposite. I think it’s gonna be seen as Trump doing the job the American media and the Republican Party won’t do.

Look, folks, I predicted long ago that Millennials would be appalled to learn about the Clintons’ past. To me, that’s a no brainer. Especially women Millennials and how Trump is reaching out to them, educating them. By the way, according to that ABC/Washington Post poll yesterday, Trump has just swung a lot of Millennials over to his side. It’s a 36% swing. Now, “Clinton’s support among young voters 18 to 29 has dropped 19% since March, and Trump has gained 17% support from the same demographic group, a 36% swing among Millennials.”

Here’s another: What is so wrong about people being reminded of the legitimate past of Bill and Hillary Clinton? You know what? The reason why people are shocked and go, “Oh!” is because the media wouldn’t do it. Way back in the nineties when the media wouldn’t do it, a message is conveyed that it would be improper to discuss these things. “After all, the man is our president of the United States, and his wife tried to save every American with health care! It’d be terribly bad form to do this.” The media wouldn’t report on it.

That conveys a message that it would be uncool to talk about these things. But what is so wrong about people being reminded of the Clinton past — or, in some cases, being told about it for the first time? I mean, is anything in the past ever out of bounds for a Republican candidate? The media go back 25, 30 years. The media will quote sources that are 20, 25 years old (that have personal grudges and so forth) in their efforts to destroy Republicans. When it comes to the Clintons, no reporting of any of this stuff ever went on.

That conveys the message: We shouldn’t discuss it. So Trump comes along and discusses it, and people of a certain age say, “Oh, oh, oh! We’re not supposed to. We’re not supposed to talk about this. Ooh, ooh,” and they get the vapors. But Millennials and other young people say, “Whoa, whoa, whoa! What’s this? Whoa, whoa, whoa! We didn’t know this.” Now, it’s hard for people to think that people don’t know this.

“You didn’t know about Bill Clinton and all women? You didn’t know about Bill Clinton Juanita Broaddrick? You didn’t know? ”

    “No! We didn’t know!”

They don’t know, and the Drive-Bys clearly are not gonna tell them. We heard claims about Mitt Romney giving noogies to freshmen in high school, and putting his dog on the roof of the car. We don’t hear a thing about the Clintons’ past.

Is any politician trustworthy?
Honestly?
I think all of you know answer Smiley
So, basically, in every election we have to choose not who is the best candidate but who is the least bad candidate.
It's sad reality.
So, based on this, I think that Hillary is better choice than Trump or Sanders.

Beside owning a vagina, being an enabler for her husband and blackmailing all the women he abused all these years, having a husband being a frequent flyer on Lolita Express to pedophile island... What do you like about her?

IRS employee threatens attorney representing conservative groups with harassment, targeting (LIVE on TV)

A self-identified IRS employee admitted he would go after, target and try to end conservative groups who wanted to abolish the IRS, to Cleta Mitchell, an attorney representing those groups, on a Washington Journal segment on C-SPAN.

Mitchell, a political law attorney who has represented conservative groups during the IRS targeting scandal since 2010, was a guest on C-SPAN to discuss the possible impeachment of the IRS commissioner John Koskinen.

The first caller was a self-identified IRS employee who said he would go after the groups Mitchell represents if their goal was to abolish the IRS.

“I am a lowly clerk at the IRS, looking at your application for tax-free status,” said the caller, Bill, from Elizabeth, New Jersey. “I go to your web page to see the goals of your group and one of the goals of your group is to abolish the IRS.”
