481  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Binance- CZ wanted to orchestrate a bitcoin re-org? on: November 24, 2022, 10:51:26 AM
We know that CZ is an influential person in the crypto market, but I am sure that he would not be so stupid as to make the crypto market crash. Moreover, CZ has quite a large crypto exchange and ecosystem in several countries, so I think he is not stupid enough to destroy the crypto market and its reputation.
It would be great to have data on social media influence on cryptocurrency market in the last two cycles, even though the personel had changed from Roger Var to Elon Musk (the richest man) each time. Regarding CZ's influence in the market, the size of his exchange market, the communities he controls, and the latest enemies he is accumulating. Can he play a better role as a top social media influencer (with his vast knowledge as a developer) than Elon Musk did recently?
482  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-11-24] Starling Bank bans Bitcoin transactions on: November 24, 2022, 10:29:59 AM

Starling Bank bans Bitcoin transactions

Don't be funny, how can a bank ban Bitcoin transactions when Bitcoin is decentralized and enables transactions in a way that avoids banks? The bank only introduced a restriction on individual deposits, and that is an amount that I don't think is too problematic for ordinary users, because I doubt that £3000 pounds per month is an amount that the majority exceeds.

Furthermore, you quote a source that claims that even 47% of banks in the UK have similar restrictions, so why would parliament or anyone else intervene in this case?
I would like to know how the ban works. The majority of bitcoin transactions do not happen at banks, so are they also banning peer-to-peer transactions? Is there a way to identify P2P transactions that involve cryptocurrency if the parties don't mention it?
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some government scared of Bitcoin? on: November 23, 2022, 01:21:29 PM
In spite of them not being able to control bitcoin and avoiding volatility of the coin, there are stable coins that anyone can produce. Can you tell me why no country has deemed it appropriate to introduce their stable coins to this market in order to allow digital transactions on blockchain/cryptocurrency? It is at least likely they will be able to control the process and allow fiat exchange, even being able to monitor the coins' transactions in some cases.

A few days ago, Elon announced that twitter has just hit a record in users, twitter is still the most popular social network and I see no reason for people to leave it. About the future, it is impossible to say, but in the near future, I believe that there will be no replacement application.
According to world statistic Twitter appeared on the least in this tweet
The amount of monthly active users:
Facebook: 2.9 billion
YouTube: 2.2 billion
WhatsApp: 2 billion
WeChat: 1.2 billion
Instagram: 1.2 billion
Tiktok: 732 million
Telegram: 700 million
Snapchat: 528 million
Pinterest: 459 million
Reddit: 430 million
Twitter: 396 million

Link to the statistic ; https://twitter.com/stats_feed/status/1595066583860535297?s=20&t=5XyF1Bnuu7DjZkM3k3MIDw
So how did twiiter get to be the most popular with fewer monthly users?
485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: P2P Crypto Trading - Which Platform Do You Use & Why? on: November 22, 2022, 02:04:31 PM
In the few months I've been using p2p exchange platforms Binance and Houbi, so far I don't see any problem using it, but many others can also be used, I haven't even tried it yet.

But for now, these two are enough for me because the transaction I do is fast when it comes to withdrawal activity. And I can say that it has been tested and can say if Binance and Houbi are also recommendable.
Can these two platforms be used in Canada, the USA, and the UK? Binance US is known to me, but I can't tell if it's a good P2P platform.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [EROS] ErosBook ICO - Invest in the Future of Escorts Bookings on: November 22, 2022, 11:08:50 AM
The stage 2 of the ErosBook ICO Public Sale starts today, November 21. One hundred million EROS are available (20% of the total supply) at a price of $0.02. This stage is active until December 19.

We also approved all the pending claims of the Bounty program. You can view your rewards at the Investor dashboard. Remember that airdrop claims will be approved when the ICO ends.
Although I apologize for asking this question, I find it difficult to believe that some projects are still getting funding at this stage of the market without strong partners and influencers. The previous fund raised is nowhere to be found, so I asked about it. Public sale has progressed to stage 2, which means the first target was reached, how much was raised at stage 1 and what will be raised at stage 2?

Are there any features Telegram will offer that this forum cannot? I found the moderators here to be more tolerant than in many other Telegram groups. The OP does not belong to the forum moderators or work for the forum, and he wants to represent the forum from another platform without permission. What is going to be done to prevent a misrepresentation of the forum and scamming members of a group with the identity of the moderator?
489  Other / Off-topic / Re: Elon Musk want to buy bitcointalk on: November 20, 2022, 05:11:35 PM
No, he won't want to buy Bitcointalk, never.

Because bitcointalk is not a fancy platform to build connections and shill your posts to walls, notifications of other users who are in or not in your connection/ friend/ follower list.

It is different than social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter when your notifications will be spammed with many statuses and tweets from others.

Bitcointalk is not a place for Elon Musk to play with his jokes that he always loves to do.
The thread struck me as a joke. Now that we know what Elon is after, we should know he goes beyond the fame and the money. A fund of that size is not available on Bitcointalk for the world's wealthiest. Like Twitter, how many people use and visit the forum? In the near future, many people will leave Twitter and a similar app will replace it, so Jack Dorsey won't be happy he sold that app to him. I am concerned about how the crypto community will respond if many leave.

It surprised me that the last update had been made after a year. As everyone is searching for why the price went from $0.156121 to $10.7 in a week, there is no news to be found. The coin is on Binance and Bidget, both of which have high scores, as well as controlled wash trading. This coin has traded over $700 million today alone, so you can see the magnitude of the pump. I would appreciate any information on the project if anyone has it

Having a safe CEX: proof of solvency and beyond
-Balance lists and Merkle trees: old-school proof-of-solvency
-Improving privacy and robustness with ZK-SNARKs
-Proof of assets
-Plasma and validiums: can we make CEXes non-custodial?
-Conclusions: the future of better exchanges: In the longer-term future, my hope is that we move closer and closer to all exchanges being non-custodial, at least on the crypto side. Wallet recovery would exist, and there may need to be highly centralized recovery options for new users dealing with small amounts, as well as institutions that require such arrangements for legal reasons, but this can be done at the wallet layer rather than within the exchange itself.
This is the link to the writeup= https://hackmd.io/@vbuterin/proof_of_solvency
There will continue to be a lot of factors to consider regarding safety with CEX and it will remain a very expensive issue that not all exchanges will be able to handle. As a result of his recommendation, Binance may adopt ZK-SNARKS.

Am afraid war might be coming on binance because institutions and governments are beginning to feel CZ is getting too powerful in cryptocurrency. Some inside information from binance establishment said it was more of a power tussle and greed. UK is going after binance at the moment and CZ has a case of $8 billion money laundering. There are indication that the allegations will fuel sending the company out of UAE, after so much investment in the country. My only concern is the negative news are coming from those who are not friends with binance.

How did we get here that ETH staking withdrawal has been suspended indefinitely and people are queit about it?
494  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: November 16, 2022, 08:31:07 PM
I can think of a dozen ways they could fudge this process.
Those are valid points, but wouldn't all these mean jail time if it ever comes out? Getting richer is one thing, risking jail is still undesirable.
It is also important to note the exchange CEO bankruptcy news that came earlier. CZ binance space defended his exit decision then. It has now been revealed that the CEO has taken major positions in BNB, DAI, and Ethereum, with over $250 million investment. It will be a challenge, even though it has not been verified. 495  Economy / Economics / Re: Is recession coming actually? on: November 15, 2022, 04:08:59 PM
No, the recession isn't actually coming because it's actually, really here already, in a rather global manner.  Truth be told, globally, we've been in a recession now for about a year, esp when considering "first" world countries.
As a result of the uncontrollable rise in prices of essentials, forecasts say the recession will peak in 2023. (https://www.worldbank.org/en/news/press-release/2022/09/15/risk-of-global-recession-in-2023-rises-amid-simultaneous-rate-hikes)
Unfortunately, at the moment, government policies do not translate into corresponding results.
496  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should you know about P2P on: November 15, 2022, 03:52:19 PM

What's p2p:
First of all, P2P is the process of performing cryptocurrency transactions directly between two people without middlemen and third party intervention. It allows you to determine your best price.

Advantages of P2P:
Its main advantage is that two people can decide the payment method according to their own convenience. Here the cost is also reduced. Work step by step as per the diagram below:

By referencing exchanges and Binance images of transactions, you rule out the idea of middle men or third parties. Essentially, the exchange is acting as an escrow agent between two parties in order to prevent scams.
Likewise, I do not believe that individuals involved can always decide how to make payments. It will require a safe form of transaction within a certain timeframe. It is possible for individuals to have a little deviation but not to go outside the rule; for instance, a request for a transaction fee, or a favorable bank.

I noticed a very long silence on the telegram and bitcointalk of apeswap. Especially for someone holding the coin through the bear market, it is worrisome. The closest competitor for the DEX is pancake and has come so low in trading from 10th billions of dollars daily to less than 100 million in the bear. However, the coins are still burning token and engaging in other developments. from where we are now, even if the coin will fall lower, is this coin worth holding onto the next cycle?

Pereira just knock out Adesanya in the last round Pereira did it again and now its three in a row for Pereira.I have Adesanya way ahead of the on the last four rounds until Adesanya became careless and hit with a barrage of punches those punches are power punches that the referee have to step in and stop the fight, so we have a new Middleweight Champion of the world in Pereira.
It is possible to attribute Israel's carelessness to too much temerity. As he has always done in the past, he lets the pereira recover after several hits. I also observed that the referee sometimes broke the play for Pereira's recovery before Adesanya's breaking point in the 5th round. In my opinion, Pereira's hit is more powerful.

Binance and Coinbase are both incredibly safe CEXs to store funds on.They do not employ fractional reserve ponzis and trade with users funds (this is rare). Paranoia is good except from when it becomes too much impairing decision making. The above are good
