Galatasaray were one of the notable teams in the Champions League but their bad performance in their last group match cost them the competition.    However they are still moving on this time in the Europa League. I believe they are one of the teams that are worthy of being watched closely in the Europa League from now on.

Sparta Prague are technically not a challenging opponent for Galatasaray. It is all depending on how much they are concentrated on the matchup. Because they weren't focused on the Copenhagen match and look where they are now. No team have the luxury of underestimating their opponents.

Galatasaray son maçında daha farklı kazanabilirdi ama çok kaçırdılar. Hatta nerdeyse beraberlik golünü de yiyeceklerdi. Eğer Galatasaray bitiricilik konusunda derbide sıkıntılı bir gün geçirirse Fenerbahçe maçı alır diyorum.

PSG için işler ligde harika gidiyor. Lille maçında 2 puan kaybetseler de uzun zamandır çok iyi bir forma sahipler. Nice'in de son haftalarda aldığı mağlubiyetler sonucu yaşadığı puan kayıpları PSG'nin işine geldi. Lig şampiyonluğunu PSG'nin elinden almak gerçekten zor zanaat. Lens geçen sezon denedi ama olmadı. Nice de bu işte başarılı olmazsa şaşırtmaz ama en azından 2. sırada sezonu bitirebilirler. Bu sezon Nice'in performansı genel olarak etkileyici bu yüzden Şampiyonlar Ligi'ne katılmayı hak ediyorlar.

There are still speculations related to Ferrari's drivers before next season. I mean those speculations are especially about Sainz. However Ferrari is expected to extend both of their drivers' contracts soon. Leclerc's contract is expected to be extended by 3 years and it is thought as 2 years for Sainz. I think it would be sensible to have a shorter contract with Sainz.

Because I don't feel like Sainz will be staying as long as Leclerc at Ferrari. At some point I expect Sainz to leave and maybe he could even return to McLaren. Above all else I think Leclerc deserves a better car here. Ferrari is said to be renewing nearly all of the part of their car for next season. But we will see how much this will affect their performance.

Kopenhag Bayern Münih'e karşı iyi iş çıkardı elbette ama Bayern Münih'in oyununu ben pek beğenmiyorum. Manchester City çok daha sağlam bir oyunla iki maçta da rahat bir galibiyet alır. De Bruyne de sakatlıktan döndü diyorlar artık çok daha acımasız bir Manchester City izlemeye başlarız. Son zamanlardaki form düşüşünü toparlarlar.

I wish Leverkusen and Stuttgart didn't have a draw against each other in the quarter finals already. Because they are the strongest teams among the teams left in the DFB Pokal cup. There is Gladbach also of course but the rest of the teams are lower tier teams which aren't even in the Bundesliga. Therefore the cup could be quite interesting this season.

I think Leverkusen would take advantage of their playing home and eliminate Stuttgart. But maybe it might not happen in 90 minutes. We might watch penalty shootouts also.

Saarbrucken look like a dangerous team in the cup now. Because they have eliminated 2 big teams like Bayern Munich and Frankfurt.

Fatih Portakal sanıyorum sunduğu haberler sırasında asgari ücretin ne civarda olacağı ile ilgili bir açıklama yapmış. 16500 ile 16900 lira aralığında bir değerde açıklanacağını söylemiş. Zaten benim tahminim de 16000 lira civarı bir şeydi o yüzden böyle açıklanırsa çok da şaşırtıcı olmaz. Peki bunun da üzerine çıkar mı? Bence hayır.

Çünkü belli bir denge içerisinde asgari ücret artışının gerçekleştirilmesi lazım. Sonuçta bir anda çok daha uçması demek her şeye çok daha uçuk zam gelecek anlamına geliyor.

Lazio couldn't make very good competition against Inter despite having balanced statistics in the match. There was a serious problem with finishing their chances with goals and Inter punished them after that by 2-0. Truthfully I thought Lazio would surprise us unlike the expectations and steal at least one point in this match.

But this performance showed once again how desperate they are currently.    They are 7 points away from top 4 at the moment and there are 6 teams between also. This task is a really challenging one for Maurizio Sarri. He helped this team get to the Champions League last season. But now if he can't repeat this achievement then his job might be in danger.

I think their biggest chance to win the Champions League title was when they had Messi and Neymar right beside Mbappe. Despite its being like a dream team the reality wasn't like that at all I'm afraid. Neymar got injured very often and missed a lot of matches. Messi and Mbappe still had really good statistics but this was still not enough to win the title here.

Now PSG have made big changes in their squad. They are going on with younger talents now. But we clearly see the bad affects of not playing as a complete team yet.

They need to improve their chemistry as much as possible to get ready for big challenges. Normally the transfers they have made for the attacking side are actually really good ones.

What an impressive record by PSV so far! Winning all of their 16 matches in the Eredivisie is a really work that deserves to be appreciated very much. They are playing really differently this season and we see that in the Champions League also. They have qualified for last 16 phase you know and their group wasn't an easy one for them on paper.

Especially thanks to Sevilla's horrible performance PSV were more comfortable. They got a point from Arsenal too. The fans and board both must be really happy with this performance level this season. 

When it comes to Ajax their progress after that horrible start is impressive. But their job is still going to be difficult in climbing to top 3. 

Manchester City didn't have any problem with scoring goals. But this time the problem was with defending their goal post. They got ahead by 2-0 against a much smaller opponent at their home stadium but couldn't maintain this advantage in the second half. There was a huge difference between their effort in the first and second halves. 

Roy Hodgson was smiling at Guardiola in some part of the match after Guardiola got really frustrated. Guardiola was really desperate about this comeback by their opponent. People showed Rodri's absence as one of the biggest reasons for Manchester City's not being able to do anything against Aston Villa before.

But now we clearly see that it isn't actually due to the absence of only one player.

PSG somehow managed to make it to last 16 phase and they should be thankful for Milan about that. Because if Newcastle kept their advantage and won then PSG were about to say goodbye to the Champions League. However I'm not expecting a big achievement from PSG here this season. Their performance so far hasn't been convincing for that at all.

This isn't the Ligue 1. Maybe they are dominating their domestic league but here the challenge is much more serious. They had a group of death and they were nearly joining the Europa League.

The team effort must be improved much more. Mbappe can't carry this team most of the time in this competition - especially against top contenders.

Unfortunately I can't get hyped about Ferrari's new car so much.    Because this scenario is repeating itself every season. They are always claiming that they have a totally different car this time and they will be much more successful. But after the season starts we have the same old Ferrari as always. They need to do something for real to look convincing for people to believe in them.

I don't know maybe they can start with replacing their strategists with better ones. Because I'm afraid they have really poor strategists now that I say even I can do this job much better than them.

Leclerc's race engineer is just horrible. They can find a better one for him who really has good communication skills and who knows what he is doing. Sainz has a much better race engineer than Leclerc and I think it isn't fair.

Bayern Münih bu sezon bir değişik oynuyor. Kane'in de takıma katılmasıyla aslında tam istedikleri kıvama ulaştılar. Yine de çok tutarsız oldukları maçlar izliyoruz. Hem Bundesliga hem de Şampiyonlar Ligi için bu dediğim geçerli. Şampiyonlar Ligi'nde o kadar puan topladılar örneğin ama sorsanız hepsinde iyi mi oynadılar diye alakası bile yok derim. Mesela Galatasaray Almanya'daki maçın ilk yarısında onları adeta kendi yarı sahalarına hapsetmişti. Daha sonra bu utanç verici bir skorla alınan Frankfurt mağlubiyeti falan da var.

Indeed. Especially the absence of Sevilla must be a big relief for the current Europa League top contenders. Because Sevilla can be a quite interesting team.    Even in a season they are going on poorly in the La Liga and Champions League they can suddenly start playing totally differently if they continue on their way with the Europa League. They even won the Europa League title in exactly a season like that previously. 

And yeah the format has changed. The second finishers in the groups of the Europa League are to face the teams coming from the Champions League. There are some good teams among the ones coming from there so I wonder if any of them will be able to make a surprise about the title also.

That was exactly what happened. Great job by the Turkish side! Fenerbahce made me worried first as the 1st goal came quite late in the 1st half and 1-0 was the score of that half also. Because Fenerbahce needed a win by as many goals as possible to get ahead of Ludogorets even in the scenario in which Ludogorets beat their opponent also.

A huge win was going to be probably enough for Fenerbahce to take the lead and finish the group there which was what really happened later.

Fenerbahce should have already been the leader in this group due to a big quality difference. But I'm contented with their success by the final matches of the stage anyway.
