So terrahash, now that everybody is pretty certain that nobody will ever get their Avalon chips, what are you going to do to remedy this situation with your "customers"?

Will you be refunding everybody? Or are you planning on pulling a yifu?

Why have you not been returning your customers calls or emails or other lines of communication?

Does anybody else see a similar pattern here?
482  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 28, 2013, 08:44:07 PM
looks like everyone got fooked on this one,
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=269950.msg3028898#msg3028898

People are speculating that the avalon chips got sold to the highest bidder.
483  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 28, 2013, 05:12:48 PM
Where is Terrahash? They are not responding to emails, tickets, voice call (mail box still not setup).
They are obviously monitoring the forum though.

Let it be known that Terrahash will receive my chips today. So the two weeks clock starts now.
I need to know what size and spec of fan to buy but I can't find the info as terrahash is not responding to anything.

We are all watching

edit: can you reply when you see that they have signed for the package?

As many of you know, I ordered ~$15,000 of boards from TerraHash.  TerraHash has been mute to my all of my contact requests forever...  I'm fed up.

The company I work for has been a PayPal business member since 2001.   As president, I know we transact hundreds of thousands through PayPal annually.  I just spent an hour on the phone with supervisors in the PayPal Fraud department.   They are going to review TerraHashs' account due to all of the PayPal policies Terrahash has violated and the complete lack of response from them.

Following that up with a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov) due to their violations of Consumer Protection laws.

Following that with a complaint at the Internet Crime Complaint Center (http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx) for their mail fraud schemes.

I would prefer TerraHash answer their "Support Tickets" or pickup the phone, so we wouldn't have to go through this.  I know there would have been many amicable resolutions possible.

Here are a couple more if your interested,

487  Other / Politics & Society / THE CONFIDENTIAL MEMO AT THE HEART OF THE GLOBAL FINANCIAL CRISIS on: August 23, 2013, 12:13:30 AM
http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/larry-summers-and-the-secret-end-game-memo

Quote
When a little birdie dropped the End Game memo through my window, its content was so explosive, so sick and plain evil, I just couldn't believe it.

The Memo confirmed every conspiracy freak’s fantasy: that in the late 1990s, the top US Treasury officials secretly conspired with a small cabal of banker big-shots to rip apart financial regulation across the planet. When you see 26.3 percent unemployment in Spain, desperation and hunger in Greece, riots in Indonesia and Detroit in bankruptcy, go back to this End Game memo, the genesis of the blood and tears.

The Treasury official playing the bankers’ secret End Game was Larry Summers. Today, Summers is Barack Obama’s leading choice for Chairman of the US Federal Reserve, the world’s central bank. If the confidential memo is authentic, then Summers shouldn’t be serving on the Fed, he should be serving hard time in some dungeon reserved for the criminally insane of the finance world.

The memo is authentic.

I had to fly to Geneva to get confirmation and wangle a meeting with the Secretary General of the World Trade Organisation, Pascal Lamy. Lamy, the Generalissimo of Globalisation, told me,

“The WTO was not created as some dark cabal of multinationals secretly cooking plots against the people... We don’t have cigar-smoking, rich, crazy bankers negotiating.”

Then I showed him the memo.

It begins with Larry Summers’ flunky, Timothy Geithner, reminding his boss to call the Bank bigshots to order their lobbyist armies to march:

“As we enter the end-game of the WTO financial services negotiations, I believe it would be a good idea for you to touch base with the CEOs…”

To avoid Summers having to call his office to get the phone numbers (which, under US law, would have to appear on public logs), Geithner listed the private lines of what were then the five most powerful CEOs on the planet. And here they are:

Goldman Sachs: John Corzine (212)902-8281

Merrill Lynch: David Kamanski (212)449-6868

Bank of America: David Coulter (415)622-2255

Citibank: John Reed (212)559-2732

Chase Manhattan: Walter Shipley (212)270-1380

Lamy was right: They don’t smoke cigars. Go ahead and dial them. I did, and sure enough, got a cheery personal hello from Reed – cheery until I revealed I wasn't Larry Summers. (Note: The other numbers were swiftly disconnected. And Corzine can’t be reached while he faces criminal charges.)

It's not the little cabal of confabs held by Summers and the banksters that’s so troubling. The horror is in the purpose of the "end game” itself.

very exciting!!!
489  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Off-Topic on: August 20, 2013, 03:12:55 PM
wow, you are a bigger douche than I thought.

Joe,
I think an apology is in order!

Yes I am sorry you are a dipshit.

I am out not because of lack of faith in Terrahash, they got fucked by the folks who didn't deliver their chips.

So me being out is a vote of NO CONFIDENCE in Avalon being able to deliver any time soon.

As I recall your whining and gnashing of teeth was all about "it's a scam" "I want to see proof of this and that"
"they haven't replied to anything, they made off with our money"

I still believe none of that.

story so far - 8/19

chips have arrived via other routes as previously announced, we are shipping them out at the rate of 40-50k on a daily basis at the moment, in addition to the ~150k or so that went out, another 40k was shipped today. There is multiple channel which the chips are arriving from various packaging facility to minimize downtime. Please bare this in mind: while we had backup/multiple packaging companies and various delivery routes, things still will go wrong. There is also testing that must be done, then they can split, packed and sent to the EZP coupled with their CN-22 and be on their way. We will provide more update as they come. In addition, the trade-in and refunds are being processed.

I'll believe it if/when people start receiving chips.
If it's actually true, then it figures the news would come after I committed to getting out lol
But as I said before, I've made my choice and I'll stick with it and live with it

I believe you made the wise choice, let's say TH get their chips in the next 3 weeks, then they have another 3 weeks to get them all out the door (absolute best case scenario) in 6 weeks your ROI is impossible. You are actually ahead of the curve on the flood of refund requests that will be coming in the next 3 weeks.

P.S. i am out too Smiley

492  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Groupbuy] Jupiter KNCMiner (0.5 BTC shares) 12 sold! [CLOSED] !!! on: August 18, 2013, 10:57:51 AM
Can you please explain in details what this difference is all about?

Also, on another matter,  on what pool the miners are going to mine?

thanks

Hey,

It's the difference between how much btc we had to pay when we payed for the miner and the amount of btc raised with the shares. As stated in start post, we didn't want to change the share price during a groupbuy, so we payed the difference out of our own pockets. We will deduct this difference out of the first dividend payment. As stated in the OP we didn't want to lose nor win btc on that difference.

The pool is not 100% sure yet. Eligius stands a good chance but we probably want more than one pool to spread the risk. Also we want to look at pools where we can merge mine but most of them come with fees. Any suggestions on that part are welcome by the way Smiley

Cheers,

I have had good luck with bitminter.

The US is becoming increasingly concerned over virtual currencies, launching broad investigations into Bitcoin and the likes. The online currency has won official recognition with a US federal judge ruling it is real money. A Texas man, being tried for laundering billions of dollars using the Bitcoin system, challenged the court by saying bitcoins were virtual and couldn’t be the basis for a fraud charge. He failed. RT’s Peter Oliver went to meet those who have no doubt bitcoin has real value.

tyrion70,
can we put the gb2 and gb 3 shares up and mark them as class b non dividend paying shares?
this will alleviate the issue with paying dividends and let us trade all of our shares.
not that i will be selling anytime soon but just want to see them up there.
