Good news, I have 1 more sMerit point for the next challenge if there will be next one, it's up to digaran.
4902  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Български (Bulgarian) on: March 07, 2018, 12:39:53 PM

4903  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Provide information and receive merits from the most reputable source. on: March 06, 2018, 02:29:55 PM
~snip~
I don't know how you did it, but I was given 2 extra source merits just now. I figured if some people don't know how to be nullius, they could at least do something other than posting in perfect English and still earn some merits.
He he, that's cool, well I did nothing but I will, as I said, give my sMerit / I think "s" stands for "sendable" instead of "source"/  to the winner of the last task.

Being like nullius is not an option here, even being 10% nullius is hard, this man is a legend, c'mon. His knowledge, expression and humor are far beyond the capabilities of the 95% of the users here /including me/.

There is no point for me making my own giveaway, coz I get only a few points from time to time so, better to use someone's service like yours and make the ones that deserve, happier Cheesy

So my points go to ... Oygen.
4904  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Provide information and receive merits from the most reputable source. on: March 06, 2018, 12:57:01 PM
i wasted my 6 hours for this  Sad

Maybe if you had just spent a couple of minutes reading the requirements you would have saved yourself the 6 hours.

Requirements: you must have 30 more posts than your activity. E.g; if you have 50 activity, you must have 80 posts to be eligible for 5 merits.

From what I've seen so far not spending enough time reading before posting seems to be the biggest obstacle to most Newbies and Jr Members gaining merit.

Ha ha, I see the guys rushing and struggling just to get the Merit asap without reading the whole thing.
I really like this kind of services because the newbies have to dig a little and learn something new and helpful, like the LN task. Cool sooo..

Let me add some more drama to the post, if digaran is OK with it, I will add 2 more Merit to the winner!
I'm tired of reading through all the shitpost just to find someone deserving, and I have 2 sMerit left.

4905  Other / Meta / What do we do with users like this one? on: March 06, 2018, 08:39:05 AM
Greetings fellas.
Here is an example of account of Full Member with 507 posts and 0 value at all, no questions asked/except the ones regarding the campaigns/ no contribution at all.
Bumping old and closed campaigns and generating activity by quoting his reports and nothing else.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1018434

I understand that 99% of the newbies accounts, registered now are only for the bounties, but is there any penalty for such activity?
Participating in sig campaigns is OK but generating posts by quoting or answering a threads without even read the OP or the comments it's just too much.
What to do with such users report them or just let them be?

4906  Other / Meta / Re: Is merit system can be manipulated? on: March 05, 2018, 01:33:35 PM
Being an NNES myself, I'll just answer the OP despite his English language level, I know the struggle.

This often happens when someone buys Full member account and he deletes all the posts of the account.

If you do so, then you loose all the activity points but you keep the merit. This is only an indication that the account may have been traded.
4907  Other / Meta / Re: 14 merit bonus for quality users [Jr to Sr. Member] on: March 05, 2018, 09:40:57 AM
This is a good way to get some constructive criticism. I'm trying to do the same /in a way/ with the newcomers.
4908  Other / Meta / Re: Joel_Jantsen's Merit Distribution Thread (Newbies Welcome) on: March 05, 2018, 09:25:54 AM
In addition to my previous two links.

4909  Other / Meta / Re: Merits, an idea to spot shitposters based on posts/merits ratio! on: March 03, 2018, 11:20:58 PM
Edit: Does anyone know how to report a spammer to the mods?

Yeah, you can both report a spam post and in the report you can mention that the user needs a review of his post history from the Mods
Or
Do like I did. I contacted mprep and he suggested that I can do a list with the spammers.
And this is what I did :
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2977866.msg30599391#msg30599391

Nice work! This is actually the first and only user that I noticed, so I can't actually create a list. Maybe you can add this guy to your list if you think that he deserves a ban. Though I don't think that he broke any rules other than spamming one liners and shitty posts like the one quoted in the OP. Which got deleted so I don't think that you can add it as a proof, but I heard that some staff members can see deleted posts and thus they can confirm what I'm saying.

Will do, tomorrow:)
Edit: you can use my thread, just post a comment with the profile of any rule-breaker and I'll add it to the list.

Re-edit. I'm on my mobile last few days, I'll add him as soon as I get back to my PC.

4912  Local / Other languages/locations / Re: Български (Bulgarian) on: March 02, 2018, 06:42:48 PM
LN node?
4913  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New Member Here. on: March 02, 2018, 01:33:56 PM

4914  Other / Meta / Re: Why did they actually enter MERIT ? on: March 02, 2018, 11:08:33 AM

I think the admin has left certain loopholes so as easily recognize the spammers. For instance, allowing the option to send 50 merits points for a single post does not make any sense. There is a possibility that he might have did it on purpose so that he can catch the members who abuse this. To make this system more effective, we need changes being done from time to time. For instance, there can be limitations on members who have spent more than 10 merits points on average per post.

Yeah OK, but think about it this way. The merit is traceable, also many people are monitoring such a big rewards. It's better to catch them here while trying to cheat, instead of hunting them on other websites and chatrooms. Its gonna be more difficult that way. Its the same with the acc selling. You can do it here too, but if they catch you, you are busted with red trust.

Why would you go after merit in the first place? Only to rank up for to either scam people, participate in campaigns or farm accounts.

If you are here only to dig deep into the bitcoin/blockchain field you won't bother with all the merit hype now. Those people getting merit anyway even in they are not trying.

So keep it as simple as it is now, it's working good and it needs time.

I have listed some in my guide, you can check them here /marked with * in front/>

Official Rebranding Announcement

Quote
Greetings BTCx Community!

As we previously announced,

We will distribute bounty and airdrop stakes after rebranding. Early investors’ coins will be transferred to the new blockchain.

Our early investors will be rewarded with a loyalty bonus. There should be no worry about the last months’ undergoing market. Your investment is protected with us. The “loyalty bonus” should be enough to make it worth it.

Investors that were seeking refunds have been refunded and any investor that want a refund can communicate at any time before the launch of the rebranded product.

Hiring new team members, rebranding process, listing on exchanges process and testing the alpha version of the product take quite a lot of time.

We understand we have been a little off schedule but with the new management team, dev team, social media team and support team we want to continue solid, stable and fast! We are doing our best to ensure that no more delays are going to occur after the launch of our rebranded product, so we plan every detail before that.

We’d like to inform you that BTCx Support Team is online 24/7 on Telegram: @BTCxTeam
Best Regards!

I guess the bounty manager can put this on the first page of the campaign.
4917  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirement for Member Proposal on: March 02, 2018, 12:46:05 AM
In addition, the sMerits for this month are probably over so here comes a new month and all the sources will be/are refilled with fresh sMerit to give. It is a cycle process but we just made our first turn.
4918  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your best investment in 2017 was..... on: March 02, 2018, 12:21:21 AM
The bitcoin section is already polluted with threads like this, where everyone is only generating posts without reading the previous comments.
Sometimes it happens that you find some good discussion on page 53 but soon you miss the point again somewhere on page 65.
Spam generating threads are no more needed, since the ranking up is depending not only on the activity.
I guess no one will read my comment here so...
Enough off topic.

I bought my first bitcoins/satoshis/ in August '17 @3300$ so i'm happy
4919  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Online Courses on: March 02, 2018, 12:08:25 AM
This is the course I'm taking at the moment on edx.com and I strongly recommend to any newcomer.
Blockchain for Business - An Introduction to Hyperledger Technologies
It is free but if you want you can get certificate for 99$.
One of the best I found so far, this is not the first course I enroll on edx.

A primer to blockchain and distributed ledger technologies. Learn how to start building blockchain applications with Hyperledger frameworks.

4920  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Requirement for Member Proposal on: March 01, 2018, 06:50:18 PM

Right...
I've had these debates since day one and no one gave me 60 merits. I must be doing it wrong.
Anyway, debating whether getting merits is hard with a person who already has a lot of them is as pointless as a poor person trying to make a person brought up in wealth to understand that making money is not easy.

Most of my points I got for the activity points calculator I made long before the merit system and I'm keeping it updated. I just felt that this is what was missing here and I had the time to do it.

Every average user could have done this for all these years but I was the first.

I'm helping the newbies with info and guidance and I'm reporting the spammers and rule-breakers.Everyone can do this.
