502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: September 19, 2017, 04:48:07 PM
In every ICO I always ask myself at least 2 questions:
-What will cause a market demand for the coin so the price can go up?
-What will convince people not to sell it once ICO ends so the price will not drop?

Can someone give me short answer on this two?

I can try answering these two questions for you:

- there are a lot of people that want to invest in real estate, but can't because they don't have the funds to purchase property, take care of fees, management etc. REAL lowers this barrier, so proper marketing would enable them to tap into that market. The demand is already there.

- they already have their eye on a first property to acquire. When they add properties to the platform and people can actually use the REAL tokens, that will prevent large dumps, because the REAL platform only accepts REAL tokens.

This last point deserves some elaboration, because it's a very important one. When you actively participate on the REAL platform and buy RPPs (ownership in property), your REAL tokens will essentially be 'locked-in' that property. You only get them back if/when you sell them the RPP back. On the other hand, if you want to keep your investment and continue to invest in more/different properties on the platform, you will first have to buy more REAL tokens. In other words: the supply decreases and the demand increases, which translates into price increase.

Needless to say, adding attractive properties to the REAL platform is going to determine the success of this project.
503  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] KICKICO |ICO 29th August| PLATFORM FOR CROWDFUNDING ON CRYPTOCURRENCY on: September 19, 2017, 08:44:28 AM

Glad I have my KICKICO_OLD tokens which are worthless.

What does this mean?

I bought KC on September 15.

They are in MyEtherWallet.

Do I have to trade them in or something?

 Huh

Means you invested in the ICO before the smartcontract got hacked and they had to restart. They claim they'll distribute the new tokens to everyone who invested up until around 70% I believe it was when it happened. Just have to hope they follow through or we've been shafted.

Can you give me or link me to some more info on this?

I'd like to know if this happens automatically, what timeframe, how to tell the difference between old and new.. stuff like that. Thanks!
504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: red pulse ICO worth it? on: September 18, 2017, 07:30:59 PM
Earlier, the moderator on slack said that those who didnt receive response about KYC have been accepted. Yesterday when i went to their slack, he said they are reviewing the KYC.
Red pulse is based in Hong Kong, so they shouldnt have a lot of trouble doing the ICO. As for business in China, my guess is they should be able to do it like any other company.

Thanks for the info.

It's better if they can send an email about the KYC approval or publish the list of approved KYC.
Theire prob not doing that cuz their KYC is bullshit.

Man, I believe they did not want to apply this either, it's rather that they had to do so to prevent troubles with Chinese government.

No one would like to participate an ICO that got ban few days after the crowdsale. In the best scenario, you got refund but you just waste your time.

It's not just the Chinese government anymore. The US SEC also announced they'll be prosecuting ICOs without KYC and exchanges are reluctant to add coins without KYC as well. If it keeps going like this, there will be no more coins without KYC!

I was talking about an exchange like this not too long ago with a friend and I just know read this ann. I'm stunned I haven't heard about this earlier. The incentives are very interesting! I think I might contribute some after having a quick read through the white paper Smiley

But even without that, I gotta say, the concept is very strong!
506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] KICKICO |ICO 29th August| PLATFORM FOR CROWDFUNDING ON CRYPTOCURRENCY on: September 18, 2017, 05:26:13 PM
if i want to have a crowdfunding on kick platform.

will eth be the currency?

saw some screenshots and it like

xxx amount of eth is the goal

I believe ETH will be the currency, because KickICO uses smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain. At the moment backers can pay with ETH and BTC, but BTC will first be converted to ETH.

Why use kick then?

Backers get KickCoins for their contribution to a campaign. I think it's more of an incentive to use their platform, because KickCoins can be sold at exchanges if you wanted to.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | DPOS | APPS & DAPPS | Mobile App Store | Blockchain Incubator | Rewards on: September 18, 2017, 02:04:09 PM
whoever said this was a scam could not have been more wrong, also, the team has been very busy trying to help people that missed the switch from the old to the new rise get their coins back which is very commendable!
get it while it's still affordable Wink
Yes ? How do you know that ?
No news from my support ticket made 15 days ago.
This swap made a lot of people in trouble, even fans of the first hour.

I can tell you from my own experience. I purchased RISE when it was around $0.03 in May and I missed the swap as well. I was very disappointed.

I sent in a support ticket but didn't get any confirmation, which was even more confusing. But I received a response after 2 weeks. I had to verify my account with my passphrase and open a new wallet on the site. After verification my balance was sent to the new wallet and everything is back to normal now. Your ticket will get handled, they just need time to process the large amount.
508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: September 18, 2017, 01:54:01 PM
Imo this one is a long hodl. Flippers be aware Wink
yeah this project wont be quick gains everybody investing should be aware of that Smiley but i see great gains in the 2018-2019 from todays small investment Cheesy
Yes, very true, as they even say in their white paper that, maybe as little as $1000 worth of REAL tokens (depending on price of property) could be used to invest in a property. Token holders will get a share of property income, and if it's wholesale, you even get your initial tokens you invested with back. It's a very lucrative enterprise!  Cool

nice, as token holders we can get profit only for holding REAL token, right?

It's a little different from dividends, you don't get paid just for having REAL in your wallet, you need to PARTICIPATE IN THE INVESTMENT of a real estate property WITH your REAL tokens, is like buying a share of the property using the tokens, and you will only get a share of the profits from the RENTAL of said property in the amount of the share you put into it; imagine you have 2000 REAL, and you only use 1000 REAL to participate in the investment of a real estate, then that 1000 REAL will represent the share you have over that particular property, your remaining 1000 REAL that you have in your wallet, won't give you any profits at all, unless you put them into another property to have part of the shares of it, then this 1000 REAL will give you the profits from the rental of this other property, which for being different ones, the amount you receive will be different.
So in theory it will be better to invest in real estate for long term profit, but if u want quick cash, maybe it will be wiser just to hold tokens and sell them when the price goes up.

Theoretically speaking: yes. Real estate is definitely long term investment, unless you purchase a fixer upper and flip it. But quick cash is never guaranteed with cryptos, so it might even be wiser to purchase a fixer upper lol

In any case, I think the idea behind this project is to invest long term. You'd get rental income the entire period and, hopefully, capital gains when/if a property is sold.
509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: September 18, 2017, 09:52:19 AM
Yes you will earn money just by holding REAL token. Its a dividend token, its a very good point cause you will get benefit just by keeping your token. Real estate is a long term invest, and real token too, that's why a lot of us love the project !

You have to use it on the platform though to invest into a property. Else you won't get ETH returns. Of course the price of the REAL token might go up, but for 'dividends' you need to use it on the platform.

Korsakopf is right. Just to be extra clear: in order to get so-called dividends you need to purchase RPP on the REAL platform. RPPs can only be purchased with REAL tokens. So yes, indirectly you do need REAL tokens to get 'dividends'. But if you do not purchase RPPs and just hold REAL tokens, you won't get those 'dividends', because you don't own any piece of property, you just own the currency to purchase property.

hello can somebody clear the ico price of each token?
during the ico, the website says that your one eth is equivalents to 3000 KC
but looking at the bounty program,

Quote
According to our plan, it will happen because the KC price is now only 0.000167 ETH. The ICO price will be twice as high, with one KC equal to 0.000333 ETH

anyway, CONGRATS kickico for your success.

That statement does seem correct, right? If you contributed 1 ETH during the ICO, you would get 3000 KC. That means that 1 KC = 0.000333 ETH (1 ETH/3000KC=0.000333)

Congrats dev and team! This ICO seems to have performed very well with a lively backing! I invested some myself as well Smiley

When will the platform be fully functional?
512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: September 16, 2017, 04:42:33 PM
when will you list your token?

Its actually already listed here: https://etherdelta.com/#REAL-ETH

Tokens are not transferable yet tho, I guess.

Etherdelta is decentralised peer-to-peer so the users decide which trading pairs are available. REAL tokens are transferable 7 days after the contribution period, so you can't trade there yet anyhow.

I hope they get listed on some good centralised exchanges though. On the site they state they already have a partnership with Gatecoin and are in talks with Bittrex, Liqui and HitBTC. Bittrex would be great!

Bittrex unfortunaly doesn't list many coins lately, almost none at all - regulations are a big issue for them. But it would be really nice to see REAL on Liqui or Binance even.

Will Binance still excist after the whole China debacle? I thought that they are China based?

I really don't know. I've been trying to reach Binance for 2 days now, but to no avail. Guess they are already down, so I'm glad I took all my coins out just a couple of days before. I haven't read anything about REAL being listed on Binance though. I think most (including me) are hoping for Bittrex if I read the comments Smiley

me too, i dont know hiw to add custom token using https://www.myetherwallet.com can anyone direct us, im new in using MEW. Hoping someone may answer our question.
Goodluck to us all.

You have to login to your account on MyEtherWallet. In the right column, you'll see "Token Balances". If KC isn't listed there yet, you have to click Add Custom Token and fill in the following:

Address = 0xc0e4f45b828aa4aa628e897e5da38d9dc72c2257
Name = KC
Decimals = 8

Click Save and they should be there! Let me know if it worked for you guys

515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it actually worth buying btc of 50€? on: September 16, 2017, 09:49:58 AM
I don't like giving out advice because I don't want to be responsible for people losing their money on my bet, which could always happen.
The only advice I ever give:

Don't invest more than you are willing to lose!

I understand as a student, you don't want to lose anything, but you have to understand that investing comes with a risk. Especially cryptos are very volatile. If you're not comfortable with that, you should put your money in a savings account.

If you do jump into this, regard your €50 as lost and you will not be disappointed, ever!
It's too bad you just missed the dip to €2600 yesterday, which to me was a good deal. It's up to you now to figure out when you wish to jump in.

In short: yes, it can be worth it in the long term. €50 is actually a perfectly fine amount to get your feet wet and test your nerves Smiley

Hope this helps a bit. Good luck!
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] REAL [ICO] Invest in Real Estate, Earn Ether [AUGUST TOKEN SALE] on: September 16, 2017, 09:33:32 AM
Profit from renting real estate or from selling. They build and than can lease or sell.

simplyfied:
they buy an estate and maintain it (they rent it). Therefor they need to take "management fees" because they do the work. then they take a small percentage of the income as a profit for themselfes. they rest of the income is diveded through the investors

No, they ll build estate for investors money, not buy. And than, they can sell or lease estate. As I understand.

I think they do a bit of both. As they say in the white paper, they purchase real estate, but also "tailor-made rentals" and "real estate investment opportunities". So that could also mean development.

In any case, you get profit from rental income and if they sell, you get a piece of the profit on the sale relative to your ownership percentage.

Hello everyone, is there anyone who knows the total supply of this coin ?
if anyone knows please let me know here. thank you

They've generated a total of 800 million KickCoins and new coins cannot be mined. I think that means that the total supply is 600MM.
That's what I gather from the white paper, but it's not written like that explicitly.
518  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: RISE | DPOS | APPS & DAPPS | Mobile App Store | Blockchain Incubator | Rewards on: September 16, 2017, 09:03:41 AM
I heard that Rise is rebranding, is it correct?

Haven't heard anything official, but there is news coming, so who knows. They did switch to a new network, so it might be true. I don't think it's a smart move if they would though, since the name is now buzzing more than ever.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] LOCI Thinking Better. Together. on: September 16, 2017, 09:00:30 AM
I finally had the time to read the white paper and I have to say it's a solid project. As I stated before, I have dealt with (searching for) patents in the past and it's not that easy as you might think going into it. And yes, filing patents is very expensive which is a hurdle for small entrepreneurs.

I like the project because using blockchain technology can drastically lower costs and level the playing field. More clarity of the timing of patent application is also a very strong point. But what I might like most is the "whitespace" concept. This can really help future entrepreneurs find holes in the market and launch new products/businesses.

This project might have a hard time finding the right audience, because it deals with an unpopular subject which is very text-driven and technical, but the people that are interested in such things will have big business. I'll support this one, because I believe it will truly better the system.

On another note; the one line spamming is very annoying and does a disservice to the project if you ask me. It makes it look cheap and desperate for attention. I would stick to quality posting only and target the right market. Just my 2 cents.
520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Yunbi closes on Sep 20 on: September 15, 2017, 05:42:48 PM
I'm kind of getting mixed messages here. I also read this one: https://yunbi.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000146641-Token-Delist-Announcement

This says they're just delisting some currencies and the other resume as normal. Does anyone know more about this?
