+1 Meanwhile, just to check again on getting GEMS when one holds GEMS (the more one holds, the more one gets) - Because now you have added 2 more security features to the app, does holding GEMS on my wallet on the smartphone get me any airdrop? or must i transfer them to counterparty.io wallet to get the airdrop? Which security features do you mean? I think u should hold them in the app for airdrop. hmmmmm...should i? i would like to know what peled1986 has to say about this though... Go to 'Settings', then 'Privacy and Security'. the 2 security features i was referring to are 'passcode lock' and 'two-step verification'. |

using my smartphone, i notice a different procedure when clicking on the referral link from Facebook and from Whatsapp:
On Whatsapp, it requests to open the link using chrome or other apps. once i click on chrome, it takes a few secs to load and then it sends me to GooglePlay GetGems Messenger page. okay. good to go!
On Facebook, it seems to open the link inside facebook. not chrome and it didn't request me to open in chrome. and then it opens GetGems app. i do not know what happens when GetGems isn't installed. will have to wait for my friends to get back to me on that. But just to find out from the rest if you have already try it out: does it work?

BEST UPDATE SO FAR!
1) the great thing is this - receive 5 GEMS upon registration of an account! i intend to invite all my friends now...tell them to register an account to get +5GEMS. PLUS i will give them another +5GEMS (or +10GEMS) if they register through my link. THIS IS GONNA BE VIRAL!!!
2) loving the simplicity of the whole interface too. gone are the days with the Side Menu on the left. Settings now are on the top right hand corner. much less tapping required. simply swipe left or right to access. Faster and easier than before. nice new QuickIcon too. i am okay with the colors though. may not be so appealing. may want to reconsider changing back to salmon. now i see a dull purple color?
3) the transactions could do some improvement. Not urgent though:
- i would like to be able to arrange it from earliest to latest or latest to earliest. Right now its mixed up. For now, a quick fix like Latest on Top and Earliest on Bottom will be good. You can add in the option to rearrange some time in the future if its too much of a hassle now. UPDATE MY BAD! think i saw wrongly. its okay now. Latest on Top and Earliest on Bottom!
- it would be nice if i can tap on one of the transactions for more details. like being able to see the full BTC Address. Just for personal reference sake.
- i noticed something very odd about the transactions. For example, now i see "GEMS Transactions". i tap on "Send BTC" or "Receive BTC", i see "BTC Transactions". if i don't do that and just tap on "BTC", the transactions doesn't fully change to show me "BTC Transactions". only some of it.
4) i noticed that there is a refresh button next to the price per unit (i.e. 1 BTC | 245.27USD) on the left. can it be slightly bigger? its kinda small. Also, when i tap on it, i do not know if its responding. would be helpful (user-friendly) to add some kind of indication after i tap on it.
ALERT! i got my GEMS exactly as before when i updated. But what happened to my 0.0009 BTC? i don't see it when i created a new account. i see 0 BTC. do i have to wait for BTC to sync? does anyone else have this problem? UPDATE i see the loading animation on the BTC wallet. hopefully i see my 0.0009 BTC. will update ASAP once i do see it. UPDATE DONE! had to login to my previous getgems passphrase account at counterwallet.io and send the BTC to my newly created getgems account. and it was instant! BEST!

Very intresting indeed but i just cannot figure out why it's pumping this big,Insiders pumping because of news? a x100 is just not natural and there will be allot of bagholders. The pump is the only thing they talk about right? yea...mostly. lyra2 algorithm was mentioned a bit. if you haven't read through all of it, its worth a read...for a rare pump (nearly x100) like this. see what people say and their reactions, etc. lol... [EDIT] price just dropped down to 100ksat. lol...that was fast. massive pump, massive dump. |

Whoever is doing the 'cartoons' for the development updates should be integrated into the app. There is one on the google play app description so maybe there will be some used? Its fun and could make the app distinctive looking, Asians love that stuff too...

indeed. many are still wondering what is causing the MASSIVE PUMP. some say its because of Bushido logging in after not logging in for a long time. now they are suspecting its because of 'RyanPumper'. i have been following this thread for about 2 weeks now. i'm pretty shock and awe by how much it is risen. around May 7th 2015 it was about 2500 sat. now...its nearly x100 of that.  How has this coin not hit the moon yet  it hasn't *yet* because the Digibyte Team are in full force with developments and preparations for lift off for Digibyte. The market is getting competitive [i.e. vs other altcoins] and challenging [i.e. Bitcoin's Drama with all the rage about Block size, etc] and perhaps also ready for any 'whales' that tries to pump digibyte's price (not sure if the Digibyte Team has any plans for that). At this stage, we know that cryptocurrency is here to stay ($800 Million have already been invested into the Bitcoin Industry). We need to move out from all the 'S**tcoin', 'Pump & Dump', misconceptions and prove that DigiByte is a true coin to be reckon with. |

Just in or at least around last week: Debate on choosing to increase Bitcoin's block size to 20MB is still ongoing. However, i came across this - Bitcoin XT. I came across this thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1077374.40. I do not know if its a Troll-Thread or a Serious-Thread. But if its a Serious-Thread, will this affect altcoins in any way? Just trolls We feel this ongoing debate between Gavin & the rest of the Bitcoin community is providing us with an opportunity to highlight DigiSpeed. We are working to make sure it is absolutely good to go before we release it though. For those that don't know Gavin decided to go ahead and release Bitcoin XT along with a couple of the core devs who agree on the 20 MB hardfork. However, several other prominent players in the Bitcoin system have come out against the 20 MB hard fork, including the two major Chinese exchanges. so Gavin decided to just do it? But what if the majority will not update? Big miners will pull theire hashes go on go on..... Could be f*cked for Bitcoin,Good for Digibyte? I have been reading that the internet connection from some big chinese farmers will not be able to handle the 20mb hardfork. Does this have any affect on Digibyte/Digispeed? A digibyte ATM would be a good thing. For my bitcoins i'm used to move to the BTC ATM in my city who is working both way, giving BTC for cash and giving cash for BTC. Who should use those ATMs at the moment? DGB is not that popular so an ATM would be profitable. We need ads, new users, shops etc before we take the next big step. yes you're right but it's like the chicken and egg who do we need first  How about an 'ATM' in Digibyte's wallet on the smartphone? i mean i can link my bank account to my paypal account and transfer money to paypal. i can do that on my smartphone since it has a web browser. i dunno if there's a paypal app for the smartphone but if i had something like a paypal wallet on my mobile phone and only have to top it up the amount that i need to use to spend on whatever, whenever and wherever, that will be quite kickass. As for changing fiat (USD, EUR, etc) into DGB, shapeshift can handle that. currency conversion will most probably be handled by banks anyway if one's bank account has the feature of exchanging currency. So maybe a collaboration with shapeshift will work. Just an idea though. i don't know how much work is needed to be done, how much security is needed to be implemented and how much regulations will be involved in this. But perhaps an idea that can be look into in the long run. security can be fingerprint identifcation or receiving SMS Confirmation, CLEF Authentication? yea... |

While that may seem like a lot, Doge is fast approaching 100 billion and is the same sat price. i still don't get it why stellar is so popular and shit  how is it even possible that Stellar is more than 20x the price but still worse than DGB? it pisses me off a bit  It's all smoke and mirrors. Those coins like stellar have a couple of people with large amounts of btc supporting them. Look what happened with paycoin and it came crashing in price. Digibyte will prevail, it will just take more time. In addition... if we exclude Twitter and Facebook and whatever social medias, both Stellar and Dogecoin have appeared in news/articles a lot for the past 6 months. Digibyte got mentioned only once or twice so far. one article i clearly rmb was on CNBC. If Digibyte was on the same Marketing Awareness level as both of them, the price will be a lot more higher than where we are right now. Be patient with the price. Because price doesn't determine a coin's success. Just to take 2 examples but not to put them in a bad light. Feathercoin and Vertcoin. Both of these coins used to be worth 6-digit satoshis (i.e. >100000 SAT). But they are now worth only 4 digits (i.e. >1000 SAT). i do not know if this information about their price in the past is reliable though. but i got it from coinmarketcap. If its not reliable, do tell because i want to know if its true. But if its...i got to say: what a drop . |

clearly, its a good thing that Digibyte has been moderately getting more attention and new members for the past 1-2 months. we need more whales instead of bigger whales. wouldn't want some gigantic whale to create a dump for price manipulation purposes. |
