Oh hello ineededausername, I find that your predictions have been mostly spot on. Of course since you don't actually know the future and but are generally close to the mark anyway, you can be forgiven for the occasional times when you aren't completely accurate. Just as most other analysts can be forgiven for the same. But you are human after all so you don't stand a chance of posting amazing threads about nothing like those the godlike Tomatocage creates.
But he can only be 100% right.  He said it will go up, and then it will go down.  That is true 100% of the time.  Grin

Cool, this is like MtGoxLive 2.0!  New and improved.  Goes down smooth without a bitter aftertaste.
504  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoinica sucks a lot worse than it used to on: January 03, 2012, 10:06:56 PM
The spreads bothered me until I stopped day trading on Bitcoinica and started swing trading.  My trading windows are now about a week long and I'm looking for huge swings in either direction.  The spread doesn't matter to me at that point, when I'm well into the green.
505  Economy / Speculation / Re: Depth to $10 on: January 02, 2012, 05:05:09 PM
Every time someone posts something like this "Only a couple thousand coins to $7, 8 9 10!"  I laugh really hard.  Every time there is a rally the depth charts go absolutely nuts and thousand of BTC appear out of the shadows.  Bots and day traders are sitting there waiting for a rally to come out and sell hard to profit, which slows the rally.  I estimate it would take at least 10 times the OP's 56k BTC to $10 in order to actually touch $10.  Then it would crash a few dollars like always after a rally.

he says that the techies he worked with back at NASA were nothing compared to the guys at the Kardashians.

O.o

The fuck?!  That sentence fails to compute.
He divided by zero.
507  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who's bot? 0.0123 trades on: December 31, 2011, 01:31:42 PM
Maybe it is a sign that more sophisticated traders are entering the market?

sophisticated traders with a sense of humor. c'mon; 0.0123?  LOL!
I know, right?  I watched a thing on Youtube, I think it was Max Keiser (edit: nope it was a TED talk), where he explained that there are big dogs who go through great lengths to hide a transaction of a million shares.  They don't hide it in a bunch of transaction of 0.0123...it's a very randomized pattern.
508  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who's bot? 0.0123 trades on: December 31, 2011, 09:25:35 AM
They are obviously buying... would you prefer they spike it?
Uh, yes actually.  I make money when the price rapidly moves up or down.  Not when it stays flat.
509  Economy / Speculation / Who's bot? 0.0123 trades on: December 31, 2011, 08:21:24 AM
Who the hell's bot is mucking up shit with the endless 0.0123 BTC trades?

That burrito looks tasty!
511  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 5830 - "DEAD" until restart on: December 31, 2011, 08:08:05 AM
My stable 5830 overclock is 955/300.  I can mine for a week solid at that speed.  Usually have to reboot because of some other program or patch being installed instead of crashes.
512  Economy / Economics / Re: What is Bitcoinica's P/L? on: December 29, 2011, 09:40:08 PM
http://www.babypips.com/ is how I learned everything I needed to know before playing with Bitcoinica.  Took me a month of trading before I had a full grasp on it and now I'm kicking ass at forex+leverage style trading on Bitcoinica.
513  Economy / Speculation / Re: Command line interface for Mount Gox on: December 29, 2011, 04:51:20 PM
Is this just a clone of goxsh in a different language?
514  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the best trading-bot? on: December 29, 2011, 05:56:20 AM
I gave up looking at half-finished source code for other people's bots and decided I would have to code one from scratch to get it to work and hopefully make money.  Too big of a project for me when I have a full time job managing an enterprise infrastructure at work.
515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did you talk about bitcoin at the Xmas party? on: December 26, 2011, 02:53:29 PM
My dad wanted to watch Youtube videos of Ferrari's on my computer.  While we were playing videos the market swung 20 cents down and I went "LOOK AT THAT!"  He was like "Wut?"  So I'm all "The market just crashed a little!".  So he went "Oh jesus christ, it *is* a real market you are talking about all the time, it even has charts".   Grin
516  Economy / Speculation / Re: mtgox mobile app error on: December 22, 2011, 03:48:08 PM
MtGox mobile works for me.  Break and then re-pair your device again like said above.
517  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's the least costly way to cash out of Bitcoinica? on: December 21, 2011, 05:14:24 AM
Tranfers to MtGox via redeemable USD code (do NOT exchange to BTC, huge fees on Bitcoinica for that).  Link up Dwolla to MtGox.  Transfer USD from MtGox to Dwolla.  Link up checking account to Dwolla.  Transfer USD from Dwolla to checking account for 25cent fee.

If you don't already have all those accounts set up and linked it is going to take you a while, at least a week, to complete the process.  See how easy Bitcoin is!!! /sarcasm

what are the fees for doing this??
It will be 25 cents total for fees.  You only get charged for the MtGox transfer to Dwolla.

520  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for Niche products to sell on CIB on: December 14, 2011, 09:05:20 PM
Get in on the funny T-shirt wave.  I went to CIB before I hopped over to Snorg to buy my brother his funny T-shirt for xmas.
