There was never a return of satoshi. We are all satoshi I don't think it will change anything. Maybe it will drive the price up, as people will trust bitcoin. Satoshi isn't really that important right now. He created bitcoin, but he note has no hand in it. Overall, satoshi is overrated.

Hey guys, i was wondering how you guys got into bitcoin. Furthermore, who was the first person you saw using bitcoin, and was it them who got you hooked? Personally, my first experience with a fellow bitcoiner was when I was walking through the mall and a boy was busking for bitcoin xD
What about you?

I personally very much have. I look back to the days where is rush to the "Time Zone" at the mall after school, and blow $15 on street fighter. Oh, those are the days. Of only there was a full bitcoin arcade... Already been done, I remember a picture with an arcade machine running what probably was mame, and you were able to pay and play games on it, it had the street fighter cabinet, I will try to find the picture. Edit: Anyway couldn't find that one but I have found this: This is great and all, but wouldn't you have to wait a long time to start playing the games. This is where fiat or a credit card becomes very handy. Bitcoin just can't do all the things that fiat can and vise versa, thats why we need both in the world. You can always accept 0 confirmations or wait for Lightning Network which will make instant payments like this pretty much possible so stuff like this could perfectly run under the Bitcoin ecosystem, it already does in casino online games. Sure, you could always accept 0 confirmations, but people could intentionally double spend, no matter how cheap it is. Have you seen people scam for less than a cent here?

I think youre right. Next year, I'm forseeing that we'll be closer to our even higher than the previous $1200. Long live bitcoin.
Recently I've seen shops accepting bitcoin more and more often. I'm guessing adoption is driving the price up. If we crash the $1200 barrier, bitcoin will be all over the news. Then, bitcoin will really take off.

|
|
I started off with faucets, then moved on to signature campaigns. Made a few hundred off that, then I bought some bitcoin at $280. Now it's $450, i'm going to sell when it hits $500. Anyone with me?
It's a totally different story with me with fiat. I gambled away 10 thousand on jackpots. Sucks to be me, I guess.

|
|
I don't think there is. There really should be though, maybe a bank that works with an exchange, so it converts all your incoming funds into bitcoin. Would be much more profitable. Way better "interest rates".
Does anyone know if a company has started trying to work on one of these projects? I'd love to convert my savings into bitcoin.

Agreed. Satoshi is the creator, but he has no power now. The only hand he has in the price is if he uses his supposed one million to pump. The reason we all care about him is that he brought bitcoin to us - not acknowledging him is like if Isaac Newton came back alive, noone even noticed him. How absurd is that? If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have our physics laws of today. Get my logic?
|
|
|
Well, I firstly have adopted bitcoin, and when more people do that, they drive the price up, and people see that, and join too. I've also told all my friends about bitcoin, and they were very intrigued. Only a few days ago, my friend bought 6 Antminer S7s! Do you think he'll get an ROI?
Some of my friends said i'm wasting too much time, and bitcoin is a bubble. Sometimes I believe them, sometimes I don't. It really depends on my mood.

Craig = Satoshi. You can't fake most of the facts, and most of those facts fit. AND the amount of innacurate information, exageration and FUD being propogated is growing so exponentially it is ridiculous. This is all just conspiracy theory nonsense and drama because "Satoshi" was more fun to believe in as a purely idealistic vision - than to look at through the lens of reality. Sort of like the whole Jesus concept. If Jesus really were to come back, today, the first thing religion would do is beat the crap out of him and nail him up to another cross all the while screaming hysterically that he was an fraud. LOL - same thing going on here.... Seems tech weenies are still just a step evolved above the apes, even with all your loft idealistic talk. Your "Tech Jesus" has returned, and you scream to crucify him Flippin monkeys. Just when you think there is actual evolution occurring. ROFL LOL LOL - Oh the Hysteria I think you're Craig wright Stop defending the lying piece of shit, we all know he's lying. Sure, he has some compelling evidence, but deeper research into that evidence shows that it's fake. You... Calling us tech weenies? Nice work, Jr memberThere is nothing proving any key was backdated. Starting in 2005/2006, it became clear that SHA1 was weak and that alternatives should be used.
So Satoshi knew SHA1 was weak, so he generated 2 keys. He used the weak key publicly, and didn't use the strong key. How does that make any sense to you? Both keys were stored in a lockbox locked via a skeleton key hidden under a rock near Satoshi's front door of his home. Wait... What?

We already now that Craig Wright isn't Satoshi, Satoshi just verify it I think Craig Wright just want to be popular or part of whale group But what does " We are all Satoshi." mean? Maybe Satoshi isn't individual or it's not mail from real satoshi. He's telling us bluntly that satoshi does not want to be known. He wants us to build up bitcoin, not him. Not does he want publicity. Give the man what he wants, satoshi or not. It's simple respect. We all know that Craig isn't satoshi. He's a wannabe. It's amazing he could stoop so low as to impersonate him. Ggwp...

This belongs in micro earnings, it's basically a site that you can earn off, is it not? That's what you claim it is, there is no way in hell i'll even hove my mouse over that link. Who uses subdomains for a blog? *Looks away and whistles*
The obvious relation to "earning" is the URL. "FreeOnlineMoney".
Could someone link a screenshot to the site, just to be safe?

Primedice. Judging by how they paid hufflepuff and still operate smoothly. It can't be verified independently though.
In terms of verifiable bankrolls, in BTC, Satoshidice has the most and Betking(PRC) has the second. In terms of Payout, just-dice has the highest and BetKing is second.
Sadly, primedice doesn't openly share their wallet balance. But they took a huge hit from Hufflepuff and i'm surprised they are still up and running today. To be honest, i've never heard of betking before. I've heard of and invested in satoshidice, but I feel satoshidice's investment profit is tiny. Primedice is most probably the richest casino, and this probably would be certain if it wasn't for hufflepuff.

Bitcoin is only as safe as you are. If you keep yourself from viruses, it's virtually impossible to lose your coins. Governments cannot take your money unless they raid your house, as they have no control over your funds, unlike banks. Stay safe from malware, and you're safe from everything besides trickery. Stay away from risky deals, and you're totally safe, until quantum computers come out and break bitcoin and our beloved blockchain.

It is what collateral is. A stablely priced good that can be resold in the case of a scam, so the lender can make back the money he/she lost. It's that simple. You really don't have to worry. Look at other threads, and see what people have offered as collateral and see if they've been denied.
Some valid forms of collateral are: - Bitcointalk accounts; provided there is a signed message - Stable altcoins - Anything that is easy to sell, and has a consistent value.

It's still hovering at the 392-394 range, I sold my bitcoins for CS:GO keys as it touched $401, so I'm happy. I really don't think there was that much of a "crash", just that the up trend stopped for a little. I have a feeling it's either going to shoot up, or shoot down. One way or another, it will be a ridiculous change. I hope bitcoin goes up, though Watch out.

Great job with your signature campaign, good luck for the future!
P.S. I'm going to be full member on Tuesday, so do you guys mind updating the spreadsheet to my soon to be stats?
You have to inform us as soon as your rank upgrades. Don't forget to include current stats! What do you mean by "include my current stats"? Does this mean my 20+ posts for the week don't count? I'm full member now, btw Posts: 707

So... In which time zone is activity calculated? Is it in GMT, the forum's idea of my time zone, or my actual time zone? The forum's idea of my time is 13 hours off. One way or another, great job OP.

I wouldn't say it'd be good to invest all your assets in bitcoin, but I'd just say, maybe a few thousand dollars. If you keep your computer safe, your computer will keep your coins safe. And no, I don't mean downloading an antivirus, but staying on big trusted sites like Google, downloading things only from the official site and not going to porn sites

Great! Hope you guys see a ROI soon! I have a few questions:
Whens the ETA of your completed site? Any name you got for your new farm? Where are you guys based? What's the estimated hash power you think you guys will get? How much is your power, where the mine is? What miners are you guys thinking of using? How many miners do you think you guys can hold?
|
|
|
It's BTCChina. Looks like that farm is doing pretty well, if you ask me... But why does blockchain.info show their IP? I though they were labelled as "BTCChina" :-/ Weird... Nowadays you can identify those addresses quite easily! Either those addresses are from a renowned pool such as Antpool, F2Pool, etc. or some individual has setup a personal mining farm and is trying to earn some Bitcoins. In fact, the latter one is highly unlikely nowadays.
But usually these pools are lablled as "antpool" and F2POOL, so why does it show the IP
