501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If not for Bitcoin on: October 05, 2023, 04:13:09 PM
Centralised business collapsing has no relationship with the cryptocurrency. It is just one of their products on which they have built their business upon. They could not run it because of their own faults and collapsed eventually. That's a very frequent incident in business world.

I believe criptocurrency investors are mature enough to understand the difference between cryptocurrency and the business built around it. Cryptocurrency will stay as it is and we are just seeing a market which is just around 15 years old.
502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How has a crypto payment gateway impacted your business growth? on: October 05, 2023, 01:43:19 PM
Implementing a crypto payment gateway can transform your business growth in several ways. It offers customers an alternative payment method, which can lead to increased sales and a broader customer base. Additionally, it can reduce transaction fees and the risk of chargebacks, making your financial operations more efficient. Furthermore, accepting cryptocurrency can attract tech-savvy customers who prefer digital assets for their transactions, potentially increasing brand loyalty. We'd love to hear your experience with crypto payment gateways and how they've affected your business growth. Please share your thoughts and success stories – your input could help others make informed decisions about adopting crypto payments. Your experiences matter!

Not really always! If that was the case then we would have seen all big cooperations adding crypto payment gateways in their Store. Is it happening? No!

Actually having a crypto payment gateway for a business depends on the local regulations. For crypto friendly countries it might help but for countries were cryptocurrency doesn't have a formal legal framework, it's super risky to add them.

Stop thinking cryptocurrency as a solution to everything. It's good for investment. It's okay for value transfer. But it's not really a solution to grow your business. It's better to focus on brand building and marketing to grow your business.
503  Economy / Economics / Re: Marriage mean double your passive income, rental property mean double your passi on: October 05, 2023, 01:39:17 PM
Dear op, it all depends what kind of life you want to live. Keeping multiple sugar daddy's can be your cup of tea but many wouldn't like that. A lot of people would like to settle down in life live a family life. Not everything is done for money.

Having passive income is important though. It can be achieved through rental income, business investments etc. More passive income you have, the better. That's obviously true! But different people have different ways. And some have only two ways! You know what I mean.
504  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Capital Gains Taxes - How do you know which BTC or ETH was sold? on: October 04, 2023, 04:05:09 PM
The accounting methodology to calculate capital gains tax is different for different countries. While many of the countries use first in first out method as mentioned already, some countries also use average purchase price to calculate capital gains tax.

So I would suggest to speak to a local tax analyst or lawyer to find out the correct method for your country. For my country it is FIFO.
505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig "Faketoshi" Wright saga continues. His team turns against him. on: October 04, 2023, 04:49:11 AM
Lol! Is he still fighting to get recognised as original Satoshi Nakamoto? I thought he has gone back to Australia to start farming. His activities used to bring us comic reliefs. It was hilarious to see his attention seeking behaviour.

It's a good thing that this joker has lost a supporter. It's probably because CW promised them a good amount of money if he was able to establish himself as Satoshi Nakamoto in front of the world. But now his team is realising the reality.
506  Economy / Economics / Re: Do we truly need cbdc when bitcoin already exist? on: October 03, 2023, 06:11:55 PM
I am not sure why you are comparing between cbdc and cryptocurrency. They are structurally very different. Criptocurrencies are decentralized without any Central issuing authority and cbdc are just digital representation of Fiat money. So these cannot be compared.

While we do not need cbdc but from the perspective of a government it has multifold benefits. As a citizen you lose your financial freedom and as a government they get a birds eye view of your finance. So its better to prepare mentally to adopt cbdc in very near future.
507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin devs really needs to focus more on making user interface easy to use on: October 03, 2023, 06:01:26 PM
There are multiple easy to use interface available in the market. Why not start using them? Use Coinbase wallet or Metamask wallet, they have really good user interface.

But the concept of cryptocurrency is not really beginner friendly. It needs a certain amount of technical understanding if someone wants to start using cryptocurrency. That issue will always be there due to its nature. I don't think more simplification is something that can be achieved.
508  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase got licensed In Singapore on: October 02, 2023, 05:55:48 PM
Well this is not the first time Singapore grants licence to a criptocurrency exchange. Once upon a time India had a great cryptocurrency exchange named Zebpay. Due to regulatory uncertainty, Zebpay moved to Singapore and they are now providing services to over 30 countries.

Looking at the current situations in United States more and more cryptocurrency related companies are expected to move to crypto friendly countries like Singapore. While US will lose it's tax revenue Singapore will gain from it.
509  Economy / Economics / Re: Honda Now Accepts Bitcoin and Ethereum As Payment Methods on: October 02, 2023, 04:10:57 PM
In which country it is happening? I am sure Honda cannot extend such crypto support in all countries they operate. Government regulation plays a big role here. So while it's a good news that Honda has started accepting cryptocurrency payment it's Limited to some certain countries.

But honestly it doesn't make sense to spend cryptocurrence is like Bitcoin to purchase a liability asset like a car.
510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paying ETH fees? on: October 02, 2023, 11:07:05 AM
2024 / 2025 (hopefully) will be my first bull run and the majority of my crypto is currently on cold storage and I am wondering if I should get some ETH ready now to pay for fees when it comes to selling or if I should wait till next year when I actually do sell - is there any difference?

I do not hold Ethereum but do have a few tokens that will require me to pay fees so wondering what is best to do have it ready now or if it doesn't matter and just wait till it actually comes to selling and pay then but obviously the price of Ethereum will be a lot higher next year then it is now so thinking is it best to buy now whilst cheaper?

If you have some tokens that will require ETH fees and if you think a bull run is incoming, it makes sense to buy some ETH at current rate to cover the fees. There's no other way to pay the ETH chain fees except ETH. So get it while it's cheap and if you are certain that a bull run is coming next year.

ETH is also good for investment as well if you are planning to hold it.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino is a Games of Chance and Entertainment on: September 29, 2023, 05:35:19 PM
The outcome of the majority of casino games is mostly controlled by luck rather than ability. Examples that are often used include craps, roulette, and slot machines. Players wager on numerous outcomes in these games, and the casino has an inherent advantage that ensures they will profit in the long term.
Casino gaming is a popular source of entertainment. Instead of looking at it as a means of making money, players should approach it with the intention of having fun.

Right you are! Gambling can never become a source of income. It's just an adult's way of entertainment and some adrenaline rush. When it comes to casinos, it's definitely entertainment.

But when it comes to sports gambling, a lot of people are actually making a full time income there. Sports betting industries are big worldwide and it makes people from rags to riches and vice versa. But in reality gambling should6b3 considered for generating income.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risk management and responsible gaming on: September 29, 2023, 12:58:32 PM
Governments and several organisations work to encourage responsible gaming. This involves establishing betting restrictions, offering support to those who think they have a gambling problem, and participating in self-exclusion programmes.

What's your point? We all know that governments and several other organisations work to encourage responsible gambling. But what is the point you are trying to prove?

There are several helpline available to council the problematic gambling behaviour. Medical help through psychiatrists are also available at free of cost in many countries. But does it really help to reduce the problematic gambling behaviour?
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "revival" of bitcoin on: September 29, 2023, 10:24:07 AM
I would like to know something about the realization of the transformation, let us assume 1,000 000 bitcoins in bankotas, in paper money, to change everywhere on exchange rates like dollar, dirham, yuan. So that this laps cannot be used electronically, but only after conversion to digital. The shield will go dare, Dolphins will feed, I will return to clarify, if not clear quite. Something a bit dumped, write from Malakk Strait

Well, burn 1 million out of 21 one, instead of it paper bills on the world diverge with good protection, each banknote in the registry, if not it, then everything, there is no block, the collichestvo decreases, and the price up. - VR. If the banknote was lost, burned, eaten, snukhana, then outpopuschusk and no, full erase block.

P.S. russian crew have time now only speak about policy

OMG! The quality of the weed is really high it seems!

What are you talking about? Burning bitcoin or bank notes? Burning bitcoin will have great impact as the supply will decrease but burning banknotes will have zero impact because the government can print those back in to circulation.

Are you talking about anything else? Don't use Google translator, rather use chatgpt!
514  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is cryptocurrency illegal in some countries? on: September 28, 2023, 03:21:23 PM
In many countries, it isn't illegal, however the countries that have made it illegal do so for many reasons, volatility is one of the most often cited reasons, as is energy use, concerns over destabilization, or the ease with which criminals' activities can be financed and conducted using them. Forgetting the advantage of cryptocurrency which has over the years gained popularity amongst investors globally. With technological involvement and industrialization, digital currencies are obtaining a satisfactory position over others, for example, bitcoin. By using cryptocurrency it is easy to transfer money without any involvement of banks and other financial l institutions. Inflation protection, due to inflation the value of so many currencies drops with this many people see cryptocurrency as offering protection against inflation. Bitcoin has a hard cap on the whole number of coins that will ever be minted.

Because their governments want it. As simple as that! Legality depends on the laws and the government controls the law in their country. Some progressive governments made it legal and some old-school governments are either still debating about legality or have banned it.

Regardless about what benefits bitcoin brings in, it's legality will always depend on the government and no one else gets to decide.
515  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad Experience in Bitcoin Peer-to-Peer in CEX. on: September 28, 2023, 11:46:19 AM
Bitcoin price is super volatile. It changes within seconds but such kind of experience is very rare I would say. I have been doing P2P trading in centralized exchanges from a long time and I don't remember facing such issues more than once.

Which platform you are using. You can name the name. Earlier I used to do it from localbitcoins and now from Paxful. All is going good so far.
516  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with spam and scam tokens on my wallet? on: September 27, 2023, 06:55:20 PM
Hi, please tell me, I have information that my wallet (BNB Smart Chain) has 9 tokens stored on it. Of them 2 tokens are normal: BNB and LUNA, the other tokens were sent to me by scammers. And now they are stored on my wallet. How can I get rid of them? How can I stop such "left" tokens from being sent to me? What do you do with such tokens? I tried to see these tokens through PancakeSwap and Trust Wallet, but they are not displayed there.

Screenshot

My situation is not much different! I have around 20+ dead tokens in my wallet which I can't sell any more. These were mostly earned during my ICO bounty days. We can't do anything apart from ignoring them. That's the best thing we can do now.

I don't know if we can burn them or remove them from the wallet because these are available on chain and any wallet will show them as soon as it is connected to the chain. Best to ignore them!
517  Economy / Economics / Re: Chase Bank New Policy On Crypto - Users Beware !!! on: September 27, 2023, 05:31:23 PM
I just read it today and really not happy about it. It's an open threat to the people which says we will decline your transaction if we suspect you are dealing in cryptocurrency and we will not return the money to you.

I mean it truly reflects the personality of what Banking system really is. It shows how unethical the banking system can be. I mean what better you can expect from Jemie!
518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to add Bitcoin payment to a WooCommerce website? on: September 27, 2023, 03:25:31 PM
I am interested in providing my website users with the option to pay with Bitcoin.

What are the steps and recommended plugins or APIs for implementing Bitcoin payments on a WordPress website, and are there any security considerations to keep in mind during the integration process?

My website is https://unikplakat.dk

I hope you can point me in the right direction to get started on the Bitcoin implementation.

I am sure this article will help you here,

https://betterstudio.com/wordpress-plugins/best-woocommerce-cryptocurrency-payment-gateways-plugins/

I have seen Coingate payment gateway working with some big names already. But do your own research as I can't vouch for them. It's a simple plugin installation. Once installed, you can configure it from woocommerce settings.
519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is a code that allows PayPal to freeze your crypto assets. on: September 26, 2023, 04:41:58 PM
There's no surprise I guess! Paypal is a legal entity running their operations from multiple countries. So they are bound to adhere to the local and international laws. As a centralized entity they need control over their own token. They would like to freeze the asset of their user if used for anything illegal. It's simple!

They cannot operate like an open cryptocurrency like Bitcoin. I am sure whoever will use paypal's crypto service, they are aware of such rules.
520  Economy / Economics / Re: 0-Dated Options Trading vs. Gambling: Which Packs More Thrill? on: September 26, 2023, 02:42:14 PM
OP, have you ever been into a ring trading floor? It used to exist before the online terminals came into the picture. I personally have not been there but whatever videos I have see for that, it's just horrendous. It's not for faint hearted people. No form of gambling can offer you that kind of thrill and chills that a ring trading floor can give you.

Gambling is more about a hidden pleasure. It gives you more anxiety than pleasure. It cannot match the thrill a trading floor offers.
