501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Use CGB's advertising budget to market your goods and services on: September 18, 2013, 07:09:06 PM
Hello,
I am a member of the Cryptogenic Bullion (CGB) development team. For those who don't already know, CGB is a relatively young currency (created on June 28th, 2013). CGB trades at a few exchanges, has multiple pools and is accepted by a few merchants already. More importantly, CGB has tremendous future potential for growth. The team is spending between $1-2k per month to advertise CGB and a cap is set for 1 million CGB to be created - so it is and will remain extremely rare. The blend of advertising, rarity, fast transaction time and devoted development team make this an excellent crypto for holding for the long term.

If you sell or would like to sell goods and services and accept payment via crypto, the CGB team would be happy to collaborate with you and allow your site to piggyback on our marketing push. If you are interested in adding CGB as a payment option, please reach out to me via pm here or directly at cryptogenicbullion@gmail.com. Our website is http://cryptogenicbullion.org if you would like to read up more on CGB.

Sincerely,
elambert

So what does it do that Bitcoin doesn't?

Has ~2% annual Proof of Stake Interest on your holdings.
Faster block times, 1 minute blocks, 5 confirms, (fully confirmed in half the time of Bitcoins first confirm).
Much, much rarer than Bitcoin, an eventual 1 million CGB (plus an annual interest of ~25k minted as POS), to Bitcoins 21 million.
Has the potential to have a value per unit, greater than a Bitcoin.

P.S. Nice work elambert  Wink

Huge amounts dumped.  Smiley
So much CGB being dumped   Shocked

Looks like the dump is over. Should bounce back now. This is expected.

Best of luck to whoever sold off if they were doing it to buy back cheaper. Sells way too thin as always. Its only 5.4 BTC to bring it back to 0.0033.

If they are dumping and leaving, they have passed them into better hands anyway.

504  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Launch - CryptogenicBullion (CB)! Chinese version of website! (CCN) on: September 12, 2013, 05:51:56 AM
Also If you use a phrase or a sentence as your password and have spaces between words or letters, you need to put an Apostrophe at both ends else you will get the error code- Error: Error parsing JSON

e.g. walletpassphrase 'your pass phrase' 99999 true

511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][CGB] Cryptogenic Bullion Marketing Campaign Update (CCN) on: September 08, 2013, 08:43:18 PM
Greetings!

Quick update, our Facebook page is about to hit 6300 likes.  And we continue to see nice clicks/impressions from our Google Adwords campaign.  Our Yahoo/Bing ad campaign is slow but progressing.  I'll give a more detailed update later this week with screen shots, etc.  Our overall monthly marketing budget now exceeds $2000.

In the meantime, I just want to explicitly say there is no congratulating going on at CB.  In fact, we feel the pressure rising to deliver and justify the price rise.  In the past week alone we have seen a few 'toy' coins sprout up and get accepted by scam exchanges (of the Chinese variety) represented by shady and avatar-only personalities.  I guess I now truly understand some of the frustration industry leaders like Coblee, SunnyKing, and Balthazar feel when seeing all these altcoins emerge out of nowhere.  Only continued marketing and development efforts will prove a coin's true worth.  Although the pressure rises, we accept the challenge.  We will not fail.

Would just like to add comment to your statement Merc. That history wasn't written in a few weeks, and there are years ahead of us to make it.

Congratu........Hmm is that Cliff Richard I hear in the background?...... Naa must be hearing things.

I would also like to give a special thanks to the CB supporters and believers!

And to Cryptsy for being an awesome exchange for the altcoin industry.

I also want to thank CoinEx, Coins-e, and PhenixEx for supporting CGB trading.  This is very important for our industry.

-Merc

Thanks for the update Merc.

Might volunteer to help, though honestly I'd still point my GPU@ LTC/NVC/CAP/DGC, in that order

Ok thanks very much, you can PM elambert the founder of CGB if you are interested. He can be found in the link in my original post. Any help with translation is very much welcomed.

An other "alt coin" ...I am wondering what's the point ? Why doing this ?

Look I am a wizard i 'll predict it's future !!!

in two weeks it's will be on cryptsy (you know that altcoin dumpster)
in 3 weeks trolls will spam about it everywhere (on btc-e chat for example)
in 1 - 2 months . it's gonna be totally forgotten..

Instead of helping each new crypto-xxxxx that appear every day why not helping bitcoin ? (or eventually litecoin)

(j'écris en anglais parce que je ne pense pas que l'auteur de ce sujet soit français (ce que je ne lui reproche pas d'ailleurs ^^,  mais c'est juste pour lui éviter d'utiliser google translate)

It is already on cryptsy, nobody has a bad word to say about CGB, and in the 1-2 months since release, it is one of  the best performing alts out there http://coinmarketcap.com/cgb_30.html
http://coinmarketcap.com/

Edit: More info can be found here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=245086.0 and here http://cryptogenicbullion.org/

Thanks for your time in reading, and thanks for writing in English, as of course I did use google translate. We are in the process of looking for multi language translators for the website and to promote among the different language boards of this forum.
