I have a spare pc and want to run a bitcoin node. It's there anything in particular I need to do, that would help benefit this pool?

Most of the merchants are simply not accepting bitcoin... But this problem can be solved by exchanging bitcoin to local currency, such as ANXBTC.
how can ANXBTC control the exchange rate? In the US bitcoin is a commodity, not a currency. I'm interested how a conversion would work. |

Mass adoption will really take a while because BTC is a relatively new currency. Since it is still in its early stages, people will be slow to adopt to it, because of the instability, acceptability, and volatility of price. Once ordinary people start to use and more merchants accept it, that will be the start of something bigger for BTC.
Once broader acceptance is achieved. Volatility will decrease dramatically. The foundation has been laid to achieve this. |

Glad to see you posting again. Can you handle returns on defective S7 hash boards in Colorado, or do they need to be sent to China? (1X defective B8, 2X defective B1) I've personally sent parts to Colorado for repair. They do a great job and are awesome to work with. |

how many S7s can I run with 60amps/240v? assuming I use the Bitmain PSUs.
60 x 240 = 14400 watts derate by 80% so 11520 watts that is about 8 or 9 not 10 8 x 1400 = 11200 watts >>>> safe yes 9 x 1400 = 12600 watts >>>> maybe yes 10 x 1400 = 14000 watts >>>> safe no Are you talking a single 60 amp breaker? |

Just found out for sure what batch number the S7 I bought online last night is. It's a batch 16 with one fan. I wasn't expecting that. I guess I shall find out how it performs and if it needs extra cooling.  As long as it puts out TH without temp issues, I'll be fine with it. edit: Anyone else on here have the batch 16? I have two. They run 10-15C hotter than the B9 I've got, 10C hotter than my S2, and 20C hotter than an S3. I've a bunch of ambient CFM pointed at them, and they're running a consistent 70-79C on all three boards. They're also at least 15db noiser; the fan runs at 6K rather than the 4K on the earlier 2-fan models. Watch your temps for a couple of 24hr cycles just in case. They're mining just fine, though. Will be ordering two more in a couple of days before my coupons expire. That'll max out my flat for sure. Hmm, how much is "kill temperature" on miner? I have a problem child s7 that does the same thing. The s7's all around it are in the low 60's and it will read 75-78. |

what is the price of electricity in China...?.. 0.05$ per kw..
For the residents, the price is from $0.09 to $0.2 per Wh. It depends on the usage. If it is over 4800 kWh per year, the price is 0.2$. ah so a casual miners will not have a cheap electricity, like i was thinking, you need a special contract for sitting on a 0.05 cent or lower i guess those special contract are done only to those that need a big amount of kwh then iceland or kuway are a better place for mining, since the electricity there is cheap for everyone regardless of your kw usgae You can get good power rates in the US for small amounts of power. |
