You can also buy cheap switches on ebay that plug right into the motherboard head pin.

Frustrating.....

Anymore news on when this will be corrected.   Seeing all zeros is scarry as you don't really know if you are being properly credited.  Don't want to switch pools if it is just a short amount of time longer.
505  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: help me understand this part of the chart on Bitcoinwisdom on: December 11, 2013, 08:41:40 PM
This is a little tricky to explain over text...but here goes

Yellow line is a 2D representation of the market activity.  If you had a candlestick chart you would see basically a 3D representation of market activity and thus more detail.

So.....

Yellow line is the final closing price for the time period drawn out as a line chart. This could be sliced in 1 minute increments, 5 minute increments and so on.  (M1, M3, M5, M15, Etc) (Since we are using a line to represent the chart instead of candle sticks, you have to slice up time frames and select the last market trade.)

Green is all the completed buys above the "market closing" of the time frame. (this shows you how much trading was happening above the close price (yellow line)

Red is all the completed sells below the "market closing" of the time frame.  (this shows how much trading was happening below the closing price.

Basically it is a line chart made to represent a candle chart by showing trading volume above and below the closing price.

Damn...did that make any sense?...lol   Huh

This a a visual graph of the bids/asks.

Green = asks
Red = bids

This shows you the market depth.  You visually can see large buys or sells with long horizontal lines.
(For example, your picture shows a lot of bids at $950)

507  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Christmas shopping with Bitcoins on: December 11, 2013, 02:16:19 AM
Recently just purchased some gyft cards to use for Christmas shopping and as gifts.  But did you know you can get cards from other providers that Gyft doesn't carry?

Here is how.....

You can purchase Amazon gift cards from Gyft....then log on to Amazon and they have hundreds of additional cards for sale!  That's right, your not limited to Gyfts selection of cards.  You now have access to a lot more vendors gift cards through your Amazon gift card!

Happy shopping!  Grin

510  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A survivalist friend wants to put Bitcoin into his emergency "bug-out" bag. How? on: December 07, 2013, 04:10:55 AM
if there's some major catastrophe, i think bitcoin would probably take a fairly big dive as the internet and blockchain won't be in as many households. electricity would be scarce too. if i had an emergency kit, it'd have an ounce or two of gold.

The entire world is not going to fall into oblivion at once.  There will still be successfully ran governments around the world.  One may need to move, but I assure you electricity and internet will still be available to prosperous countries.

Alright guys, this Mercedes lady said we should let the whole psuedo-anonynimity part of bitcoin go. We gotta redesign the protocol now. Sorry about that.  Roll Eyes

Yeah that was pretty gross.

She was sooo clueless.  How did she end up as a board panelist?
520  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bubble just busted on: November 19, 2013, 06:03:41 AM
From $900 all-time high price have fallen to $600. How deep do you think correction will go?
By my opinion it will be $500-600.

It didn't even drop to the daily low.  It's not like we wiped out a month of gains.  This is just normal trading but since we are in higher numbers is feels dramatic.  Funny thing is it has already rebounded to $800+.  But then again, we all new it would slingshot back up now didn't we! Just need another day of deposits added to the exchanges. Does anyone not think it will be over $1000 (MtGox) in the next 48 or so hours?
