Just an update to the non-believers in the merit system. From 27 Jan til today, 13 Feb I got 51 Merit points and I'm just one average user here.So tell me again that it is not possible to rank-up. I still have 14 days to reach the needed activity points for Full Member and the missing 39 merits but I think it won't be a problem at all. I'll be very proud to rank-up because I have earn it this time. Now there is a new meaning in the ranking-up process, everyone could spam in the off topic section and rank-up with just activity, now game has changed and the feeling is great. Goodbye shitposters.

Ще се опитам да поясня.
Има два вида точки:
- sMerit с които оценяваш ти постовете на другите.
- Merit които те оценяват теб.

Накратко, sMerit точките, които ти "пращаш" за определен пост се превръщат в Merit точки за този който е писал поста./той получва като награда и сМерит в размер на половината точки, които ти си изпратил, виж по-долу/.

сМерит всъщност означава (spendable Merit) 

Мерит са точките, които получаваш от други потребители, тях не можеш да загубиш, дори и да са ти изтрили коментара, за който си получил мерит точки.

сМерита са точките с които ти можеш да оценяваш постовете и не влияят на Мерти точите ти. Първиначално получавш Мерит и сМерит според ранга ти а събираш сМерит по следния начин.
Когато някой оцени поста ти с 10 Мерит ти получаваш половината като сМерит т.е. 5. Коефициента е 0.5. Ако някой оцени поста ти 5 точка ти получаваш 2.5 точки, а при 2 точки оценка, получавш 1.

Важно! Оценявайте само качествени публикации, има хора които следат за злоупотреби в системата.

С цел да оживя малко българската секция тук ще си позволя да пусна малко информация, която може да се окаже полезна за някои.
 
За тези, които още не са чули от 25.01.18 във форума има "малки" промени, като е въведена нова система за оценяване на качесвото на публикациите, наречена "Merit". Общо взето от този момент за да може да покачи ранка си, всеки един трябва да покрие следните критерии описани по-долу в таблицата.
За хората участващи в разни кампании може да бъде от значение, но потрибели от ранка Legendary не са засегнати и мерита е повече за престиж.

Ето накратко новите изисквания:

Всеки потребител от ранк "Член" и нагоре получава и начални точки sMerit, с които може да оценява стойностните за него публикации.  
sMerit се получавате също, когато ваш пост бъде оценен. Може да използвате половината от получените точки. Ако например поста ви е оцене с 20 Мerit, получавате 10 sMerit.

Мерит бутона се намира до бутона "quote" на всяка публикация.

В допълнение, има потребители, коите са източници на мерит /merit sources/. Всеки може да какдидатства за merit source ако покрива изискванията. Те се намират в първият линк по-долу.

Целта на занятието е да се намалят спамерите и да се подобри качеството на публикациите.

Regarding the first one, looks like that we have a different interpretation. I do understand that you are applying for a local section merit source but I just think that the posts your citing has to be in English in order the rest can understand. For me it's difficult to read Greek and I'm not sure I can understand how good the post are. This is also valid point number 2.
Regarding the last point, 3 this is my interpretation of the term "established"- a person who has proven his knowledge, committment and trustworthy here and has the respect of the other members. There are legendary shitposters here. The rank is not something that defines the person as a good or bad poster. Now the merit system will change the game.

This is great application but I see some issues here:

1. I think the 10 posts should be in English in order to show theymos and the community that you can distinguish the quality posts, and show what is your perception for such posts.
2. I see some posts are back from 2016, It was stated in the announcement that the posts have to be a few months old, just to note.
3. The forum members have to be established, you account is just a few months old, well this is only my vision.

Just put in the subject or somewhere in the post that you apply for the Local Greek section.

There is no formula of success in ranking up /well I made an actual calculator about the activity and merit you can see the link in my profile / but what I can say from my own experience is that you can really rank up despite the new merit system.
What I do is spending some time here every day in reading, reporting spammers,asking and answering questions and basically learning new things every day. In the process of learning sometimes people appreciate my work by leaving merit on posts they think are valuable.
And here I am, stated with 10 points as you now I have 60. Be careful not to be obsessed by the merit and to become your "fixed idea", just don't think about it will come. Be helpful to the community in some way, stay away from spamming and begging.Don't give up and be positive.

I'm fairly new to the community
But I'm giving smerit and reporting posts on a daily basis, trying to keep an eye on the newbies in the Beginners and Help section, and learn new things in the meantime.

If you find difficulties with writing in English, the best thing is to write in your local forum section and start learning there, also put some effort in learning English. When you gather some experience and knowledge then you can post things that understandable and useful for the community, this is the right way to develop here in the forum, not only abuse it with spam/shitposting in order to get some "free dinner".

This is one of the best threads for supporting the merit system in a form of reward i have bump into till now I'll be following since I already collected some smerit /5 now/ and I would like to distribute it fairly to the community.
I've been digging around but man, finding good posts by yourself is a hard work.

And I can say it is not difficult to get merit. I just joined in November and I was newbie like you, but I learned a lot and tried to help new members and here I am, just 46 more to the Full member and Im not pushing it, it just happens. It is not impossible for sure.

The higher rank members should also be aware of the new system in order to distribute their sMerits instead of keeping them unaware of the situation if we want the system to be fully functioning. Of course the merit system will affect only the people participating in the bounty campaigns, chasing higher income, the regular members will not be so affected/obsessed. 

I already open a new topic with suggestion to the admin and mods, how to end this problem or reduce the effect at least, but I doubt that people will agree with me.

The new merit threads are like merit farms, everyone is trying to answer first and whoever gets some points the others start complaining about how unfair is everything, or the newbies start answering the OP 100 times in a hope for some merit.
 

Here is my proposal:
Theymos or the Mods to send one informative message to all the users here in the forum with just a simple explanation or a link to the new rules.
What are the positive sides of this action:  
-The information will be available to everyone no matter when you gonna log in again, tomorrow or in two years.
-When you receive a PM you also receive an email about it, so it's almost no way to miss this one out.
-The people will reduce the posts like "What is merit", "How can I get merit", " Why I got neg. trust for giving merit" and so on..
-This will reduce the spam and the time for adopting the new system.
-We can concentrate to more important topics and hunting merit in a Meta section will be reduced.
-The higher ranked members will be informed and can distribute their sMerit. /update/

Please point out the bad sides as I see none.

I think 90% of the users aware of the system are trying to hunt it in some way even that they don't what to confess it. It is a competition now. I hope this will change by the time, we'll see. I know many of you will accuse me in the same thing, that I'm after the merit. Yes, I am but not so desperate like other here. I just want to earn it by the time and the effort and if I deserve it.
So this will be my last topic here in the Meta section,regarding the merit system.

You wont be affected by the Merit system in term of ranking-up, since you have reached the highest rank /for now/. The system is introduced in a way to prevent the abuse of the Activity point system and reduce the spam and shitposting. The merit for legendary members is more for "prestige" /not the right word i know/ or contribution, but you have also the responsibility to distribute the your sMerit points to posts you think they are informative for the community I some way.  Giving merit to shitposts or spam can easily make you a target and you can be reported. The penalty is negative trust, so you have to be careful what you are doing before sending sMerit to random posts.

Sure it's not worth it is just for fun and I do not recommend "mining" bitcoins on mobiles if you care about the device.
If you really want to mine something on a mobile, better go for electroneum.

Well I have changed the screen a few times, and Windows Mobile is a dead OS. Only the camera is fine but no use for the phone. I know it's maybe better to sell it instead of mining with it but.. it's just for fun. Well from time to time I have to check it because it use more power and it shuts off and you have to start it manually.

I guess you are right. I haven't really thought about it so far. Just tried the app for some time and saw that I got transfer after the fist 5000 were accumulated and then just let it work. I guess it is not really mining but more rewarding for watching ads. Sounds really unrealistic for sure.
