If you want to get in peoples minds, become an asset to the community. Be a leader in all the groups you belong to (join groups if you haven't already).
This is good advice imo. There are two ways to get people to do what you want - convince them or force them. Think about what happens to someone who cannot do what Congress commands. I often cannot out of conscience.

I am a rogue government or central bank with almost unlimited funds.
This is not an acceptable hypothesis. By the way, the bitcoin network computing power is already comparable (~50%) to the strongest supercomputer on Earth, according to what I've read in these forums. Yeah, there are computers that are orders of magnitude faster than other computers, but not that much faster than all the other computers combined (or even all the ones working on bitcoin).

What? That doesnt even make sense.
Another student? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Well that took a disturbing turn at the end.

Well actually, I just went on my dad's computer(which is a windows 7 and is pretty much ALWAYS logged in on his account which is an admin so he doesn't have to type in pass for downloads) and just somehow accidentally clicked on the download link to this, so now I'm just running it on my dad's comp.
Whoops ;-)

A funny joke.
For linking to the previous joke the last noun in joke n must be the first noun in joke n+1.

How far can they come? I'm in Jersey?
They probably would if they need to. If I don't get anything closer for them soon I'll send you a phone number or pass your info to them if you prefer.

Look to Captchas for inspiration. Basically anything a human can do easily which a computer cannot.

The slide with the graph should make it way clearer what the rules of issuing and supply of BitCoins are. So I'd change the title to "Issuing rate" instead of just "rate" and the text bellow I'd change to: "the total amount of BitCoins is fixed and limited" There should absolutely be no doubt to anyone viewing the graph that you just wont ever have more then 21mio of BitCoins. IMO at least. p.s.: awesome job so far, can't wait to see the final thing ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) 'Issuing' evokes an issuer. I think "total" or "supply" might work. Looking forward to the completed product!

This is fun to think about. What would make a good human proof of work?

Two guys I know have cash and want BTC. They are in NYC and can come to you. I don't know the exact amount, roughly 500-1000. PM me if you can help.
I already thought of Bruce of course. I think he's out of the country and isn't responding for now.

We've needed to lose the tittle for a looooooong time now.

On another note, I'd recommend just telling your parents what it is and point them toward bitcoin.org. It's not a malicious program or anything so you should be able to get permission pretty easily.
Yeah, don't do that. There is pretty much no way that parents who restrict downloads are going to learn about and approve something to do with new online currency. But you probably weren't going to get much from mining anyway and you can still use Bitcoin by using an online wallet, no ID required. Then you can start accumulating by using the faucet and bitcoin bonus. After that maybe some kind of online work. Actually I think bitcoin bonus has some kind of referral system, maybe figure that out and show some of your friends.

1:1 you are way too high, actual mtgox rate is 0.88
He is selling dollars for dollars. 1 to 1 is a fair price.

A miraculous level of genius?

This is what you do:
You sell great things, affordably. It's the best thing you can do for this world.
+1 Philanthropy is a transfer. Profitable business is wealth creation.

Bitcoin loans are kinda useless if you have to convert it to dollars to buy productive capital.
Sure you have to for now...

Is this how BitCoins could go mainstream?: We are a non-profit organization with a mission to connect people through lending to alleviate poverty. Leveraging the internet and a worldwide network of microfinance institutions, Kiva lets individuals lend as little as .01BTC to help create opportunity around the world.
tada, better like that.

Also, instead of the age you should have asked about the birth year imo.
+1 Nah, the OP has a timestamp on it. So you can always calculate it. And who cares whether it's +/- 3 years? I just want a general idea of the demographic. If you want accuracy, which it seems you do with 92 freaking options, you need birth year. Some people will answer today, some tomorrow, some next month. Unless you read the date on each response (can you even?) you are getting bad data.

When a currency is made legal tender, everyone is legally required to accept it for the repayment of debt. This includes things like eating a meal at a restaurant, since the meal is gone by the time the check arrives, you are in debt and they are required to accept USD. However, if I'm buying a pack of cigarettes from the gas station, they can refuse USD and demand that I pay in gold or BTC, since I am under no obligation to complete the transaction.
Are you saying that if a menu lists prices clearly in BTC you can eat with no obligation to pay? Or only that if no currency is mentioned then dollars are assumed?
