Wallet con't sync. I have 10 nodes connect. All node stuck at block 5999. Anyone know how to fix?
Nah, it's just stuck there, probably for everyone. Mining only yields rejects, too.

Oh, nice. After a resize, compiled easily. Hashes: Before: 5-15 After: 200-270
Huge difference. Even my old and free CR-48 was at 0, now at 130. Nice update by Sunny!

Same as every other coin. Copy/Move the wallet.dat file from your datadir to wherever you're backing up to.

I'm not a programmer. I just assumed it took quite a bit of programming otherwise why wouldn't everyone here launch their own coin.
Integrity.

Heres how to mine primecoin in a few simple steps
1. Download the precompiled binaries or do a git clone and compile your own executables like how would be done to litecoin.
2 visit the appdata folder Windows: press the windows key and R. After this type %appdata% and make a folder called primecoin. In this folder create the primecoin.conf file shown below.
Linux: visit the users home folder and press control and h to show hidden files. create a folder called primecoin and create primecoin.conf in that folder
primecoin.conf file rpcuser=****username*** rpcpassword=****password*** rpcport=***any port(mine is 8001)**** gen=1
I created the primcoin.conf file in my primecoin folder (Just pasted stuff into notepad and saved in already existing primecoin folder from wallet installation). Not sure what to put for rpcuser and rpc password. Also Not sure what to do after file is created. I'm a complete novice at mining so any additional steps would be helpful. user/pass for most users doesn't mean much, you can put whatever you want there. It's just if you use a program like cgminer, that's what info you put it. There's no external miners right now, so it doesn't matter much right now. Just put fill it in with whatever. Once it's saved, this is the file that your client uses for its settings. Just start up your client and it will now mine (because of the gen=1 line in the .conf), that's it!

If I have and I7 3770K and also a GPU 7970. Could I run the Primecoin miner and also cgminer? One mining primecoin and cgminer mining another Alt Coin?
Yes, though one may throttle the other. My general rule on my rigs is to mine with your CPU cores - 1. If you have 4 cores, mine with 3. It'll keep your cgminer chugging along at full (or near full) speed and you'll still be able to mine with the CPU.

@TheSpiral
wow. I forgot.. I am not pool mining. Duh!
Thanks for the help. Also, where is the conf file at?
and if you don't mind sharing... what is your CPU & current setgenerate -X at?
Looks like you're on Windows 7. Easiest way to get to where the conf is is just by typing this in your explorer address bar: %appdata%/Primecoin It probably won't be there, just make a new blank file and call it primecoin.conf (right click > New > Text Document) I don't use setgenerate, I just put gen=1 in the conf, similar effect, just don't have to type anything when you start the client. Final primecoin.conf file will look something like: rpcuser=x rpcpassword=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx gen=1 server=1 daemon=1 Obviously, change user/pass to your liking.

getprimespersec: 334 Mining on i5-2500K @ 3.30GHz Looking good Update: Got my first block with 20.38 XPM reward! How did you get this??? nice! I am on the same CPU but I am getting 60.. any tips on this people? What are your settings? gen=1 in the conf? Sometimes it takes a few minutes for the number to ramp up to a certain number, though 334 is quite a lot.... I've noticed that doesn't translate to better results, though (yet). My bad computer is finding more than double what my good computer is finding. Shouldn't worry about the number just yet. Not sure... I will double check. Yeah that is great results 334 is a lot! Btw, I am getting this problem: What's the issue? You didn't enter an address.... Are you trying to get a receiving address? That's in the 'Receive' tab. Addresses is if you want to save an address (like an exchange), like a contact list.

Here's the third try at this question. The website for your coin is non existent. Is there a reason or do you guys not own the domain. Just curious. Thanks.
Are you trying to sell it? I'm not sure what your point is...

But I want to launch a great coin, and that won't be cheap or easy.
On the contrary, it's completely free. The easiness depends on how much you copy and paste. The way you deserve money is to add services/tools to your currency and earn from those, not just release it and sit back and earn money for nothing. What? What are you talking about? I thought I needed at least $10,000 for a programmer to launch a coin for me? Free? What? ... Where do you read that? You just open up the code in a text editor, change what you want to change, compile. Obviously, you can hire people to help expedite that process, but where do you get $10,000 from?

primecoin.conf file rpcuser=****username*** rpcpassword=****password*** rpcport=***any port(mine is 8001)**** gen=1
Prolly a dumb question, but are the first 3 lines necessary and does it matter what I put for user and pass, are those same ones used somewhere else? Thanks. The port isn't required, but recommended so you can check what port it is at a later time. If you don't specify one, it'll use the default port number of the coin and you may have to look it up. The username/password can be reused (honestly, I copy/paste settings from different coins for solidarity, still should be secure, though)

Eh, I've got a 20.33 Block I'd sell for 10 LTC. (Have a few other non-matured blocks, will gauge then).

Does anyone know where in the code (or can translate to layman English) which hardware can actually mine or is restricted from mining? What I mean is: Some people having issues with EC2 nodes. My old/free CR-48 will not get any primespersec at all. My two desktops work fine. Etc, etc. Is there some prerequisite to have >0 primespersec within the code that could be referenced so I don't waste time compiling on old hardware only to not have it mine?

is somebody mining onecoin??? o.O
Was, prior to Primecoin release. The decimals shouldn't be too much of an issue I don't think if they're traded in uONC (they'd know better than me, though).

I got 8 active connections when I am in office. But 31 connections at home.! WHY? could anybody help me? It won't go over 8 if you are behind a router that does not forward ports. It's okay. Thanks mate. The reason I asked the questions is that I keep mining for 8 hrs in office without any luck. but 2 blocks at home in 8 hrs. Does the number of connections matter? or just pure luck counts? Just pure luck for finding blocks. 8 connections is more than enough, honestly.
