Hi,

Just to give you all some feedback to the webwallet development. The altcoinguys started to set everything up. We had a major network failure at the providers side, so the server was hardly accessible over the last days and that stopped the development. But now everything is ok and I expect them to finish the webwallet next week!

As already said. The app for mobile will follow directly after launch of the webwallet system!

Regards
Shahim

But didnt your team say that decentralized nodes will be till April ends?

There has.never been said it will come in April. Our dev's are working hard on that task in april. And if course we have to be sure their can't be any malicious node or whatever. We learned not to give dates too early that probably can not be hold....
525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAVAJO COIN - ANON LIVE! ● WEB WALLET COMING ● CHAT ● Faucet! on: April 22, 2015, 07:23:57 PM
Huh I thought the next step was about nodes distribution for anon tech, not web wallet.

I really thought the main concern about Navajo Anonymity feature was that the nodes was handled and managed by the nav dev team, hence "centralized".
That was the major thing pointed out by others crypto people against Navajo newest anon release... and you guys told us that you were working on that solution in priority...

why do I feel like Navajo did an half job here for anon? you guys release a 100% well working anon solution, but the major hiccups was the node centralization and instead of *fixing* that, you are working on webwallet?

I understand that your choice of going with development of webwallet (and after a mobile one) is related to make NavajoCoin used by people and providing a user-friendly way to adopt Navajo.  I understand also that the current Navajo anon feature is a fad, or a gimmick, that is not really used by anyone right now intensively, mostly because people that currently own this coin are divided in 2 groups : first group are those that have their nav in wallet and are just staking. The other group are those that leave the coins on the exchanges and are just there to dump at the very first moment they will see an increase in value, but by doing so, they are just dooming their *investment* and delaying any value increase.

I think you should continue working on the anon nodes distribution model mostly because you need to target a third group for NavajoCoin long term viability : the developers/builders/pioneers.  With a totally decentalized anon solution with a well-thought node distribution model, this coin will have a better appeal for that third group and this is the ones that add value to a coin. the actual 2 first groups (holders/stakers in wallet and day-traders) are not those you need to listen to, nor have to worry about... they will anyway be extremely pleased if you are chasing for those valuable peeps that can really add that extra magic every altcoins need.

Hi mate,

We always said open we are working on different sides. And of course a more easy task is able to come faster than a complex task.

Edit: and this does not mean pakage and.Soopy are not working on your main wish. But we already explained what our concerns are.  Webwallet is being worked on without pakage and soopy... So I do not burn theire time!

I'm available to answer any and all questions that you might have.

Hi!

OK, three requests for you:

1) The problem that arises during the creation of the wrong "genesis block", with the use of installer
for Windows systems has been circumvented.
What do you intend to do for Linux and Mac?

Hi Remy,

that fix is short before release!

I need some help , got a conflicted transaction when trying to send my coins somewhere..

How is that? Didn't you just wrote you still have 100k block left for syncing?  Did you press yes when the installer asked for download?

You can send me the tx id's. And i will take a look

How many coins can I stake with 20150 NAV?

At actual interest rate of 20% it should be around 10 per day with 20.000 NAV.  I calculated 20000/365*0,2

But staking also is a bit of luck, so it could be some more or some less. The more coins you have that are staking the higher your stake gets!

YOu can also use it to update your blockchain data!

Blockchain data is getting updated every 24 hours and you can either proceed the installer to get it or download manually!

Just in case, one has not opened his wallet for a long time, this will fasten the time, so you are able to use your coinsdirectly instead of syncing an hour!

What this could mean?
I try to compile linux wallet, and it run fine
But when try to start navajocoind:
Code:
navajocoind: main.cpp:2747: bool LoadBlockIndex(bool): Assertion `block.hashMerkleRoot == uint256("f326781ac9e04c00d914424402e0ee4e4aee7188e9059e5d745a05b634c8fee9")' failed.

You need to download the latest blockchain data from our website and unpack it to the navajo working directory.
Okay Thank you.
i will try that. At first I try to shortcut and just copy datadir from another computer but then I got error:
Code:
:~/navajocoin/src# NavajoCoin server starting
SummerCoinV2: Error initializing database environment /root/.navajocoin! To recover, BACKUP THAT DIRECTORY, then remove everything from it except for wallet.dat.
So, now I will download your database..
Hope this is just temporary installation method. Smiley

we are actually working at a complete installer, that will make all this automatically. also soopy is fixing this merkleroot error ...

right now we have some problems with windows 8, everything else is working ... we love MS ;-)

I'll be a test subject for a Raspberry Pi 2 wallet if you want me to be...  Wink

I don't see any problem with that? There areseveral howtos in the internet regarding wallets on rasberry pi.

see here:

http://blog.pryds.eu/2014/06/compile-bitcoin-core-on-raspberry-pi.html

At the part where they start downloading bitcoin sourcecode, you have to switch to navajo source code and just walk the steps for compiling.

Hi

Can someone please explain how does NAV work, I have gone thru the OP and have a basic idea.

If I send coins anonymously to my other wallet, they won't be visible on the block chain/explorer? However, would I be still able to spend it / send it to an exchange when needed? The main aim is to keep the funds / coins hidden?

Please clarify and educate me if I have missed something.

Hi mate,

Yes you are right.

Have you read the whitepaper?  The infographic will give you a basic idea about it.

Could you tell us about progress of working on web wallet and custom subchains that everyone can setup?

Hi,

I am not totally up to date with everything. What I can tell you, is we are testing the new wallet, soopy had to fix this merkleroot error some people posted here and we will also include some features, which will make it very more easy for beginners to startup with NAV.
Beside I am working together with a foundation member at determining the webwallet system, so it is also the base for the mobile wallet. We are taking a look into different systems and check, how good they match our requirements and are also "state of the art" . I hope we can post some good news here soon regarding this.
Pakage and soopy are further working at the how you call it "custom subchain" and bring this forward.

Sorry, I can't give you more details for now, because it would lead into false expactations at the moment. But we are moving and we will deliver like always!

hi shahim, thanks for the update.

so we can understand that :

1. new wallet that will fix few stuff and implement new ones : in testing.

2. webwallet : you haven't started yet. more on a lookup on what is already done right now in the market?

3. custom subchains. ok cool.

questions :

1. can you tell us what meant soopy when he posted here on april 10th that an update was ready? it was his last post and 4 days later, no words yet about this.

2. do Nav dev team and foundation are working on a PR/marketing plan?

3. are you aware of anyone in the dev team or a member that is currently developing over the navajo anon? for example a marketplace or other stuff ?

thank you for your answer.  holding Navajo and staking like a mofo here  Wink

Hi mate,

we have started with webwallet already. we are trying a few things right now, to see if it is possible what we want to have. We started try the top notch web wallet existing ;-) But I have to say .. it is harder then I thought there is already a plan B . So we already are some steps further than checking the market!

to your questions.

1. That is the fixed wallet which soopy is working at. we already have a test candidate, but decided to wait a bit, to integrate some more stuff and not need to update again short after the launch... Basicly it is my fault, cause I cried about that... blame me for this, but we want to have it a bit more perfect.

2.  Yes we are rethinking about marketing strategy and strugg already contacted all the foundation members. Beside we are also working and different sides to improve all this stuff. It's a pity things like the newly created wikipedia page got deleted by some wiki sheriffs...

3. I don't know about stuff like this, but I think the foundation will be included and liek said before strugg is collecting ideas. Of course every input is welcome and also needed!! Inside the DEV Team there are some Ideas regarding online payments and so on.

Oh wow, just saw it.

Is crave a scam? Wow I just realised they fell from 780000 to 90000... Is it dead?
Crave and Paycoin are lessons for those who want to be rich over night and finally become bag holders and remain without their hard earnings.Crypto is evolution not revolution. Navajo will slowly but steadily win the race.  Grin

Hey I bet some guys got really rich over night. But I guess 99,99% of the people paid for them.  Smiley
