521  Other / Meta / Re: The case of dannythegem and the same thread in many subforums on: November 01, 2018, 01:29:02 PM
I am not sure, but perhaps this rule is for c/p threads in multiple boards?
Both the threads serves the same purpose although the texts are not same.
In addition, the thread should not be posted in altcoin marketplace since the payment is BTC.

I may have lackings since I'm new in the forum. I request you/mod/anyone else to correct me if there is any exceptions. It will help me in future to report and help the forum to keep clean.
522  Other / Meta / Re: The case of dannythegem and the same thread in many subforums on: November 01, 2018, 12:25:05 PM
12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting it in the local language boards if it's translated).

So, Hhampuz is also breaking the rules. S/he has posted his/her survey in two seperate boards. One in BTC Marketplace (Archived) and another is in ALT Marketplace (Archived)

~snip~
Simply one single sentence[1] can express what you are looking for.
[1]- Please give me merit.
524  Other / Meta / Re: Continuous Bumping for Long Time | Report to mod? on: November 01, 2018, 06:56:04 AM
However @ OP , you can try by reporting single reply. If mod take action then report others reply. I did same thing sometimes. If marked unhandled then I avoid further report on similar case.
I still can't see stats of report. I have reported already. Let me see what happened. I will update if the thread/post get deleted.
525  Other / Meta / Continuous Bumping for Long Time | Report to mod? on: November 01, 2018, 05:18:10 AM
In Indian local board, coinliker had posted an ANN thread in local Language for Mercatox.
He is continuously bumping the thread at a row with some news, for example, X coin added, Y coin added, bla bla bla. Sometimes, s/he even posted twice in a day.

Is it against the rules? Should I report?
526  Other / Meta / Re: Fee for advertising in bitcointalk on: October 31, 2018, 03:44:58 PM
Thank you. I have got the answer. Therefore, thread is locked.
527  Other / Meta / Fee for advertising in bitcointalk on: October 31, 2018, 03:28:33 PM
I have checked threads in auction. I am still quite confused about the fees.
Can anyone please tell me the approx. fee for 1 spot/week?
Thanks in advance.

Check Lakai01 posts in german section Smiley
You can't evaluate the whole system with a single or some user.
If we want to evaluate with one user's merit data, nullius can be a great example who didn't receive merit for analyzing merit data. S/he got almost all of his/her merits from bitcoin discussion.
So, if we want to evaluate the system, we need to compare all of the members. With the span of time, the system will work more greatly.
529  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What happens when a wallet file is stolen? on: October 31, 2018, 10:56:57 AM
Meta is place where discussion about forum is taken place.
Your question deserves to locate in Bitcoin Technical Support. Check below of this thread and move it.

Thread moved.

If your wallet.dat file is stolen, you may still have access to your coins if you already have set a passphrase. If you don't set one, you will lose everything.
530  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: October 31, 2018, 10:42:28 AM
Also, the best way to get merit is to write about merit, not about cryptocurrencies
You are wrong at some point. Almost all of the posts about merit are posted on Others-->Meta

Based on Piggy's analysis, it's not too much if I evaluate based on your comment.
Also, if you compare the data of first 6 months and later, the ratio has also been decreased.

However, I think there should be some constructive analysis on merit data.

I have got 35 merits till now and out of those, none has come from a merit analysis. I would also do some merit analysis, not for having merits. I would love to analysis how merits are working on altcoin discussion. Altcoin discussion doesn't deserve to get huge merit because of the signature campaign's spam. I have seen OgNasty to give merit on altcoin discussion and after that I am willing to have a deep analysis on that board.
531  Other / Meta / Re: Forum with continuous voting on: October 30, 2018, 03:08:50 PM
Are you talking about kind of upvote and downvote?
If so, here  is a scenerio attached below. People will easily abuse the system by alt.
Well, I want to share a story with you.
I had joined a forum named icoforums.net which was paying 1 ETH for 100 posts. It was really lucrative. Of course, I had joined with the intention to earn. But, I tried to contribute to the forum. I had posted some decent posts. Apart from that, I started to report the abusers and copy/paste so that the forum gets cleaned. I was able to remove the spams through reporting but in return what I got from users who were spamming?
There was an option called upvote/downvote. To be honest, I was one of the best users of that forum but you know what, my reputation was -17, because there were some users who had fake accounts and they were only downvoted all of my posts.
That's what will be happened here too. Trust, merits are not moderated. If there is something like -1, you can easily destroy one's reputation. And that's why there is DT member for trust feedback. Otherwise, I may create 100 of accounts and paint anyone I wish which would be visible to everyone.

I don't think any kind of addition is needed in current system. It's working fine now.
532  Other / Meta / Re: Report plagiarism (copy/pasting) here. Calling for Mod action: please permban on: October 30, 2018, 02:44:39 PM
Can we talk about selling merit? Do you need screenshots to prove it?
I can prove he sells merit
who to contact
Create a thread on Reputation. Don't spam here. This thread is dedicated for reporting copy/paste only.
533  Other / Meta / Re: A couple of quick questions related to forum rules on: October 30, 2018, 12:16:56 PM
-   Are Copper Members meant to be able to bypass the Newbie PM restriction?
Here-
In response to the annoying PM spam, you now have to opt into receiving PMs from newbies. The option is in your PM preferences. You also can't send PMs to newbies if you haven't opted in. Copper members are exempt, but only if you're wearing the copper membership.

Can someone get banned for plagiarism (or else), for a post written let’s say two or three years ago? (or even longer).
If it's copy paste issue, user should definitely be banned, IMO.
534  Other / Meta / Re: Acc0unt hacked - what to do? on: October 29, 2018, 09:00:04 AM
Follow this step- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0
There has no other way to recover. You just have to follow the step and wait. Some members are waiting since more than 6 or more months.

And the good news, soon theymos may implement an automated way of recovering.
You should probably just wait and hope that theymos implements the automatic recovery tool which he said should be ready by the end of the year.
535  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announcement @Lauda @ThePharacist @actmyname @Timelord2067 @suchmoon on: October 29, 2018, 08:58:12 AM
Lauda has been accused many times of scams. He lost his Mod status because of that because the scam accusation was very clear.
Lauda was never a mod. S/he was only DT member. Don't know where you have got the info. Have you any link where it is stated that Lauda was a mod?

I have just suggested you to create a scam accusation if you have proof. Also, I'm concerned about accusation against Lauda.

Lauda was a Mod bud.
That's my bad. I was not concerned about that.
536  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announcement @Lauda @ThePharacist @actmyname @Timelord2067 @suchmoon on: October 29, 2018, 08:48:22 AM
I do the same they did to me.I will hurt their business.
Actually i will do it diffrent since my accusations will be provided with proof and their accusations are out of thin air.
I/Everyone would appreciate if you have some proofs that they have scammed or doing some illegal activities here. Please share your proofs with us. Everything needs to be cleared.
But without sharing proofs, if you talk like that, no one will care. So, it's better to create a thread on scam accusation and share the proof.
537  Economy / Reputation / Re: Announcement @Lauda @ThePharacist @actmyname @Timelord2067 @suchmoon on: October 29, 2018, 08:22:54 AM
~
@Timelord2067 proof that i'm an alt of Quicksilver since getting 1 Merit of QS is hardly something you can call a proof
~
Just a note> Quicksilver =! Quickseller

Maybe, It was an intentional typo  Grin
538  Other / Meta / Re: Annual Comparison of User Registrations on: October 29, 2018, 05:48:29 AM
i'm interested as to whether you can pin point from which country has the biggest population.
Russia- 11.85%
United States- 10.06%
Ukraine- 6.40%
For more info- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5031638.0
Also- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4948780.0

The links are for traffic datas given in Local boards not for the solely population of every country that is a member here.
The output will be same, IMO. Those traffics are based on organic searches.
539  Other / Meta / Re: Annual Comparison of User Registrations on: October 29, 2018, 05:01:14 AM
You can use table for organizing those data. It will look better. You can use the following code.
Code:
[table]
[tr]
[td]Hello[/td]
[/tr]
[/table]

What have you meant by average 500-1000+? Is it a average? I think it would be a single number when you emntioned the word average.
