My granny had a neighbour and his name could be roughly translated as "IWelcomeYou". As for Satoshi, from what I've heard, he most likely isn't japanese. |

I don't know which post you have edited. Can't find anything new. Feel free to tell me. As for IP, I believe admins have logs with IP addresses of all users (correct me if I'm wrong). If I was a sockpuppet, it wouldn't be that hard for them to find out. Also, I don't understand how you inferred that this is not my original account. Is it because I think you provided desperately little information for a 2000 dollar loan? Go to a bank and give them the same offer. They won't even bother explaining why it is so ridiculous. |

You don't expect people to just give you 2000 USD with almost no information on how you want to use it and what collateral you have, should your project fail, do you? I'm trying to help you. If your plan is legit (I sincerely hope it is) then the more information you provide, the higher chance you get a loan. Only one thing i feel bad, you not using your original old user name.

i live in a small place on the edge of akershus / østfold, and ive gotten a few of the shop owners interested in bitcoin hopefully i can go buy groceries etc with bitcoins in a few months  That gives me an idea. Instead of having the Bitcoin conferences in big cities like London, New York, Prague where we are not noticed, we should have the conference in a small town where it makes a much bigger impression. In most countries, there are regional Tourist Authorities that try to attract conferences to their resorts, especially in the low season. This can be used as a leverage for bitcoin adoption. So we say to a big hotel/resort that we will take 200 hotel rooms if they agree to accept bitcoin for payment. And simultaneously we say to the local chamber of commerce that we will bring 300 conference attendees to their town if the local businesses add bitcoin to their payment options. That seems like a decent plan. I bet a lot of bitcoiners would be willing to trek to a more out of the way destination for a goal like that. I doubt that "If your local businesses accept bitcoin then we'll come" is the way to go, but more like "We're coming, tell your local businesses we have bitcoins to spend and we're going to buy where they are accepted." With the exception of the venue itself perhaps. Shop around until you find a satisfactory venue that will accept coin then go tell chamber of commerce, local media etc. Might work even better for like a week long bitcoin party/vacation/conference. That is a wonderful idea! |

Sorry, I stand corrected. And I am aware that this is not an original idea, but I think I can simply do it better. For instance, establishing liability for the recipients of the investments through contractual agreements. Example: A representative can be selected to act as the legal identity for the "sharks" and he/she would be responsible (and obligated) for ensuring the money is being used for what it is supposed to be used for, and that any return on the investment would be sent to a designated bitcoin address.
Who, could be such a representative? Only the original entrepreuner has control over his project and its finances. Sometimes that is a fact of life that cannot be changed, weather due to fiscal irresonsibility at an early age, or just plain bad luck. I think we have an opportunity to use this "crypto-currency" to benefit everyone (being that it is unregulated) instead of those just interested in making a profit or getting a return on their investment. How many people can honestly say they think their current banking system is fair, and is not being used to as a catalyst to fuel immoral and selfish principals in business and economics? I think the bitcoin is our salvation, a chance to spawn a new form of fiscal practices, and in the proper hands, can literally save humanity.
Granted, sometimes good projects are rejected for wrong reasons. But I think banks rarely have overly tight risk management. As we have seen in last few years, they usually risk too much. So if they refuse to finance a project, they usually have good reasons. Please, don't get me wrong. I like your idea, because this is exactly something Bitcoin. Financial infrastructre is essential for a currency. And if your idea works, it would be a great contribution. I'm just trying to find all possible flaws in your idea. I'm taking a position of a devil's advocate. |

My approach would be entirely humanitarian though, and I think that is something that is lacking in this aspect of anonymous fiscal operations.
Quick edit: Just to be clear about that part, I would not limit the projects to humanitarian only, that's just what I would do. Any thing is acceptable, whether it be profits and dividends for the investors, or feeding the homeless and developing medical technology. I am also capable of hosting a .onion url from my local machine thus to provide security and anonymity to all users of the site, sharks and fish alike; although it would be difficult to hold those who abuse the system responsible for their actions. But that's the main purpose of this thread. I want people to help me think of ways to protect the anonymous investors above all things. They would be the bread and butter of this project. The problem with Bitcoin investments (in general, not just in your case) is that you have to offer high interest to make it more attractive for investors than just hoarding bitcoins. But this makes it worse than a bank loan. Thus, if someone asks for money on bitcoin forums or kickstarters, it must be because he/she can't borrow money from a bank or other conventional sources. Now, there are several possible reasons for this, but most of them are negative for possible investors. |
