I think many bad people or criminals use fiat and the other currencies often to make the illegal activities before the Bitcoin's create. So we can't accuse the bitcoin's currency to being used by some people for this illegal purposes
Even now, 6 years after the creation of bitcoin, US dollar is still the favourite of the criminals. Well sure, that's like saying mansions, hookers & blow are still favorite with criminals. Criminals simply use Bitcoin to get at USD, just like they use USD to get at hookers & blow. Caveat: Everyone uses real money, mostly criminals use BTC  |

I have another question for smallblockers: Won't higher fees make it harder to mix coins and remain anonymous?
LN will be so confusing its like the mixing service was built in. I think it's possible we're gonna need something like the lightning network eventually, but instead of a hardfork that would buy them more time to build it, they want small blocks so we have the incentive to build it. This is crazy. This is like robbing someone so they have the incentive to be more careful in the future, and trying to justify it as being in the victim's best interest. if i was bitcoins CEO I'd sell all of you a "second layer solution" but the second layer would be centralized. How about we use a sidechain for daily transactions, with exchanges acting as gateways. We can call the sidechain something like SpendingCoin, or... USD? |

In regards to BTCitcoin being changed as opposed to what it's now, Isn't since start, it was supposed to be how Satoshi it self wanted it to be from years to come and that's what dev's are doing? AFAIK nothing would change unless Satoshi itself comes out and decides to tweak it a bit unless I'm missing something.
