How's it going? Do you have our mailing addresses, Lucko? I can't even remember if we did that anymore.
522  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY6] Happy New Year Giveaway Bitmain Antminer S1 180GH 3 BTC on: January 02, 2014, 05:38:32 PM
I'm in for one Antminer 180, plus 3 raffle tix!

I forgot to add my username to the "fax" field at first though -- I just went back in and added it, but I hope I was correctly added to the raffle -- can someone confirm, please? Sorry about that.
523  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Titan Bitcoin - Silver 1 oz coin is now available on: December 31, 2013, 10:36:50 PM

Received my silver Titan One a few days ago, and it is much more striking than the "goldine" version. There's a reason people have loved silver for such a long time... the heavier weight and larger size are nice, too. Great stuff -- thanks!

So, the true-gold one is coming... soon? Because I think I'm hooked.

Not a good start. Maybe the laser blinded them?

Lol.

Day 12... still not a word

I continue to have hope, only because the product is such a good idea and yet relatively simple to make -- they could make so much more money by actually making the product rather than just taking a few orders and bailing. But I've been wrong before. If they don't come through, maybe I'll just figure out how to do this myself.
527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't feel bad newbies - Early adopter without many Bitcoins on: December 29, 2013, 09:38:58 PM
I love this post. Thanks for writing it. I've really enjoyed my adventures in bitcoin, but every now and then when I'm in a dark mood I think about the handful of decisions I could have made differently and would be so, so much better off now.

But somehow I can't be all that bitter about it; if I'd just bought and held and never done anything, I'd have missed so much -- I love watching the new hardware be developed, and it's great to be a part of the community as it figures out how to make things work, and then work better. I love this community when it's at its best, solving problems and building things and exploring new ideas and sharing the results, and always so freakin' fast!

While I could have ended up in a different place if I'd made different choices, it wouldn't have been nearly as good a journey.
528  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: December 22, 2013, 11:04:57 PM
Spotswood made me this excellent Chili rack (apologies for the poor photo):

I love this rack for many reasons:
• It holds up to 7 Chilis (I'm just waiting on a few more -- come on, Lucko!).
• Entirely configurable -- adjust everything so it fits just how you want, space them as close or as far apart as you like.
• Everyone has their own cooling solution, I went with the Accelero Mono, and Spotswood configured this to my needs (awesome).
• Holds everything together and lets me move it around, reining in the Chili octopus.
• Came with extra bolts, brackets, even tools.
• Great price! He probably has different prices for different needs, but especially considering he made this custom and it only took ~ 1 week, I think it was a great price (less than $100).

So, if you've got a bunch of stuff that needs to be bolted down: http://richchomiczewski.wordpress.com/

(I do not know Spotswood, nor do I get any kickbacks here -- I just think he's doing great work and wanted to share it.)

I finally found a backplate I'm happy with. They're free, they come in sets of two, and only require one cut and then drilling 4 holes to get them ready. They're only 1mm thick aluminum, but they're curved on two sides which adds to their rigidity. They're also sexy black and the curved sides turn into feet when you flip them over so it makes a convenient stand for the Chili.

Just drill four holes:

Bolt it on (I put a piece of thermal padding in between the board and the backplate, mostly for spacing, though you can't see that here):

Convenient feet!

Where can one find these handy aluminum plates?

Received these yesterday, and they are fantastic! When do the minted seats start accumulating distributions?
531  Economy / Securities / Re: PETAMINE IPO HAVELOCK TODAY on: December 19, 2013, 09:10:50 PM
I'm very happy with the move to Havelock so far. We're trading just a hair under the .05 BTC IPO-part-two price, and the spread between bids and asks is nominal. On Cryptostocks, we were trading at a lower price and the gap was huge. This feels much healthier.

Now we just need our second wave of hardware.
532  Other / MultiBit / Re: MultiBit stuck on "Connecting..." after resuming from sleep-mode (Win7) on: December 17, 2013, 09:50:05 PM
I just deleted the "multibit.wallet" file but kept "multibit.key" file, and when I restarted the program it replayed the blockchain and became unstuck.
533  Other / MultiBit / Re: MultiBit stuck on "Connecting..." after resuming from sleep-mode (Win7) on: December 17, 2013, 05:08:44 PM
I am also suddenly stuck on "connecting" for about a day now. On Windows 7; I upgraded to the newest Multibit, but it made no difference.

My sell order for 10 MSC @ .14 BTC/ea has been filled, so please remove me from the book for now. Thanks, and thanks to all for the smooth transactions!
535  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: December 14, 2013, 10:21:43 PM
I have a V2 blade which has gone through three of those tiny fuses. It runs great other than that. What am I doing wrong?

Obviously you board is drawing too much current, so you must find the sucker. V2 Blades don't have voltage tuning unlike V1s, so I would rule out too high voltage. If you have connected fans to the white 2-pin power connectors, or anything else, they would be my first suspects.

Otherwise, if you are running the Blade vertically and/or there is nothing under the board that could create any ghost current, I would check the PSU voltage, for some reason it might be above 12V (would be weird, never seen that). If the PSU is okay, I would blame faulty components on the power lanes (inductors, capacitors, etc) or maybe even faulty chips. It that's the cause indeed, I'm afraid you'll have to go for a RMA.

Ugh. No fans attached. And I have used 2 different power supplies with the unit, so -- it probably isn't them, as fuses have been blown while attached to each. And it is running vertically.

Thanks.

Out of six cubes, I had one with a bad blade-- it showed a row of "xxx"s no matter which slot I put it in. I emailed asicminer.help@gmail.com on Dec. 6 about the single defective blade, and received no response.

Then I got home today and there was a package inside my door from Shenzhen. I actually thought to myself, "What the heck is this? I haven't ordered anything recently." But there was a replacement blade inside, and it works perfectly.

4 days, including the weekend, from the moment I emailed until the replacement blade arrived from China and was plugged in & hashing. Amazing. Amazing! Thank you CanaryInTheMine & friedcat. The ASICMiner legend grows.

Anyone knows the reason why two transactions are shown in mymastercoin.com but not in mastercoin-explorer and masterchest?

http://mymastercoins.com/default.aspx?XID=4720
http://mymastercoins.com/default.aspx?XID=4723

Thanks a lot.
I believe this is now resolved. None of the transactions from yesterday afternoon were showing up in mastercoin-explorer, but they are now. Tachikoma looked into it.
