521  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are altcoins dead? on: November 18, 2017, 12:23:25 PM
If Altcoins are dead then why are people still buying them, spending thousands of dollars for a single coin? Some maybe are dead because of how bitcoins price have increased so some who have invested in only Altcoins are questioning if they ever will profit from their investment.
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: November 17, 2017, 08:50:33 PM
The tendency if you want to win back your losses is that you have to spend again to win back your losses meaning there are more chances of you to lose again. So if I were you I wouldn't win back my losses and just invest instead.
523  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins. on: November 17, 2017, 06:58:04 PM
With bitcoins price right now the coin thats more profitable to invest in would be the Altcoins but you need to choose a coin thats progressing and have the potential to grow more in the future like NEM.
524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2x hard fork on: November 17, 2017, 03:56:11 PM
I thought the Segwit2x got cancelled? But if ever it did happen today then I guess this might be the reason why Bitcoin reached a new all time high today. Reaching $8000+ today and still is around that range now, great for those who had kept their bitcoin and altcoins are probably swimming again in red.
525  Economy / Economics / Re: Might not be a bad idea to sell off 5% of your stash.. on: November 17, 2017, 01:13:36 PM
It might not be a bad idea especially if you really need the money however I wouldn't sell off any of my coins unless I really need the money but if I still have some cash with me then the coins will just stay there because I'm also aiming for long term.
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ripple team up American Express on: November 16, 2017, 05:31:11 PM
Oh so this must be the reason why Ripple pumped recently. Great news for Ripple by the way if they are teaming up with American Express, I think a lot will then use Amex to purchase coins such as Ripple and the like for trading. I did have Ripple a few months back but I already sold all of them and couldn't wait for the pump, too bad for me.
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If i have 10 Bitcoin I can do this on: November 16, 2017, 04:30:41 PM
No, just because you have 10 btc doesn't make you a whale or gives you an entitlement to control Bitcoin or other coins. It's more than just 10 btc those whales are holding and you would probably need to be familiar with the market too because it just doesn't stop there.
528  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocoin advice - Hold or Sell? on: November 16, 2017, 03:36:28 PM
I would suggest for you to hold on to NEM because this coin is actually a hidden gem and only a little are aware of it. I had been constantly following this coin on its projects and of course if it is progressing as well and I do believe that in time this coin will be worth something in the near future so you better invest this or you'll regret it.
529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An offline wallet to store multiple cryptocurrencies? on: November 16, 2017, 02:33:45 PM
I've actually looked into a couple of hardware wallets or offline wallets wherein you can store Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Trezor is one of my top list as a hardware wallet I wanted to buy but I realized it is only limited to a couple of coins so the next on my list is the Ledger Nano, a couple of my friends are using this and it is way cheaper than Trezor and I think stores more coins than that of the Trezor one and decided to order one for myself but still haven't got the package yet.
530  Economy / Economics / Re: Would bitcoin help teach kids about saving? on: November 15, 2017, 05:56:02 PM
Yes I think teaching them about bitcoin would also be a way of teaching kids how to save because it is for long term. And ita easier to explain to them and make them understand because its a digital currency.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves will kill Ethereum? on: November 15, 2017, 03:52:33 PM
I don't really think Waves will kill Ethereum because their platforms are different and their projects and developments are different as well. I think its far to tell if Waves will kill Ethereum too because Ethereum already had build its reputation and Waves needs to build a better reputation and progression too.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Relationships! on: November 15, 2017, 10:09:19 AM
I don't think its weird although I am not in favor of gambling but if that's what they want like a family member or even close friend of mine is addicted to gambling of course I will advice them to not really get into that kind of hobby. I do have a friend who was close to being addicted to gambling but he decided not to go through that phase because he realized he lost a lot from gambling and have to save a lot of money for his family of 5.
533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nobody's talking about Bitcoin Gold !!! on: November 14, 2017, 01:29:06 PM
Bitcoin Gold is an altcoin and most likely is a pump and dump coin. People might not have been talking that much about Bitcoin Gold because they think it is just another coin that passes by and would not be that much of a hype coin. Nothing to really talk about or sometimes I would hear my friends say it's not going to worth anything in the future.
534  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where/how to buy BTC on: November 14, 2017, 11:53:07 AM
You can also try Xapo.com although its transaction fee is quite high compared to other exchange sites but they are legit and are safe to use. I've tried to use Xapo using my credit card and it worked perfectly fine and fast as well.
535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Who is buying up all the cheap alt coins now ? on: November 14, 2017, 08:15:33 AM
Mine is 30% Altcoins and 70% Bitcoin. I'm a die hard Bitcoin fan so I stick to Bitcoin more than these Alternate coins. But I do have a couple of Altcoins stored in an exchange site with 2fa and hardware wallet that are for long term so I might be checking back with these coins after a year when I bought them at a very cheap price.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How to convert ETH to BTC? on: November 14, 2017, 06:18:46 AM
It's easy, just go to an exchange site for example Bittrex transfer your Ethereum coin to the exchange site then qhen it is transferred you just buy Bitcoin with your Ethereum coin. And if you still are unsure then you can just go to youtube and do a research on how to buy Bitcoin from an Ethereum coin.
537  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin benefit of saving for a long time? on: November 13, 2017, 11:40:27 PM
It is a lifetime guarantee to make profit and just waiting or leave that and work or entertain yourself for the time being. May as well benefit you for life if you just save even a 5 of it possibly to double you money for a year or two only.

I agree, Bitcoin is like a lifetime investment. So if you invested in bitcoin and hold them for a couple of years the benefit you get from it is the profit you gain from holding it. It has already been proven and tested in time that bitcoin does profit a great amount in just over a couple of years.
538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: November 13, 2017, 07:17:36 PM
ETH will fly - just wait for it!

Eventually, it will hit 1000 dollars and I believe it will happen really soon.

If someone does not believe in ETH they should also not believe.

how can you sure that eth will fly? there were so many altcoins out there that is way better than etherium and etherium is not the number two coin which wil next to bitcoin because bitcoin cash already defeats him. bitcoin cash now is the second to bitcoin all will possibly surpass bitcoin if its value will continue to surge. though bitcoin is still the king and will be the king in this crypto scene.
I am still support ethereum not agree with bitcoin cash to be next in bitcoin because as we can see the market and also for the platform of ethereum this is what we can see that ethereum will be the next for the bitcoin and not bitcoin cash.

Same here and that's how I see it too. Ethereum is next to Bitcoin that's why I support it all the way other than Bitcoin Cash. There is room for growth with Ethereum that's why I support this coin than the others.
539  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding BTC vs Day trading or short term trading. on: November 13, 2017, 04:33:44 PM
So I have been in crypto for a while now, February precisely, and regrettably I wish I had never dabbled into day trading or short term trading. I have been burnt a lot trying to play the game of trading. Often times I end up buy too high thereby becoming a bagholder, and when I finally sell, it's at a loss.
So I can't help but wish I had just held on to my BTC. Would have been grinning from ear to ear today.  #Lessonlearned

Day trading or short term trading is not for everyone and requires a certain skill set as well as mental control. Although you say you've learned your lesson perhaps what you have learned could be used to have better results again in the future, you've identified that you buy too high so try and correct this and be even stricter with what price you buy at.
It is certainly not for everyone and that is the mistake most newbies in trading always make.
They usually feel they can just gamble their way into trading, make some decisions that they feel could be right and then end up being wrong.

They are always the FOMOs most time looking for the coin that is rising and then trying to quickly make some gains and just like the OP ends up being bag holders.

Anyone who wants to trade very good, should first consider the kind of coins they want to trade, then always look for the best position and then have patience until they hit with some strategies too, in case they are losing.
My advice to you is that you should not go for day trading as your experience shows much about the lack of knowledge regarding the correct choice of coins in this type of trading. You should rather try to hold your coins because if there is on fork luckily, then the price gets high hence leading to earning money without any sort of investment. Day trading is short term method and it requires you to be experienced in this field so avoid it at beginner level.

I agree because I did try short term trading before and it really needs for you to have knowledge in trading and you have to have time for the short term or day trading itself if you want to earn profits everyday. It was hard for me and very time consuming so what I did was I switched to long term trading instead which also gives me ample time to learn more about trading.
540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you had 15 Ether, where would you invest for the long term Today on: November 13, 2017, 01:54:12 PM
If I had 15 Ether I would probably invest in Bitcoin for long term and probably some Altcoins too that have the possibility to grow in the next 2-3 years like Siacoin or probably Waves.
